Hey does anyone know where I can get one of those medical ID bracelets that you scan or has like a QR code for like under $40?

I want to get one so I can list all my meds and stuff and that won’t fit on a normal bracelet. My doc brought up a good point that if I get hit by a bus or in a car accident or something that what the medics give me will most likely kill me or at least make things much worse. That’s really scary to think about.

Disability Disappointment

Sometimes I get medical scare anxiety. What that means for me is that I will sit in bed at 4:30 am and panic about scenarios such as:

Getting a job finally only to have an episode on the job.

Going out to the library by myself and having an episode.

Getting separated from my safe people and having an episode.

The episode in question is not the scary part.

911 being called

Strangers touching me

Strangers taking videos or pictures

Being kidnapped

Because of 911 being called the following scary things.

Police

Paramedics

Fire Department

In that order.

Where my disapointment comes in which isn't new we all know disability aids are expensive. I thought to fix my anxieties I would buy one of those medical bracelets. I can get up to five lines give or take. Problem with that is that they cost upwards of 70 dollars on average that I can see. As you know I am broke. I could get a badge with a QR code, it is also expensive 45 plus dollars and the average person won't have a scanner or even care and like other aspiring hackers i am very paranoid about my data.

How I am thinking I could fix all my problems.

I am thinking about one of those necklace card things I think they are called lanyards? I am going to try and find one and write out my disabilities, emergency contact and my wishes slash needs on a flash card then put that in the card holder. I could get a sticker of the medical symbol and sick it to the plastic. I have flash cards and pens all I need is a lanyard.

Headcanon-y biology thing: she had both the fagiggly gland and the magic sac but she relies on the magic sac more and eventually her fagiggly gland failed on her in highschool and was removed permanently

like it exploded in class like an appendix but more painful

the fagiggly was small and made only enough to keep her body running (though theoretically could've been used to make excess but that depends on the hybrid)

When it was removed (she doesn't have anti fairy counterpart to replace the organ because she never produced enough energy to make one) she needed to be on a special magic respiratory device that assists her respiratory system to distribute the magic throughout her body as her respiratory system never learnt to do it relying on the fagiggly gland to provide the magic for her body

She no longer needs to wear her device 24/7 only when she's sleeping and she has like a asthma puffer in case of any flare ups
