"Lactaid milk is being recalled due to the potential presence of almonds, a common tree nut allergen.
The Food and Drug Administration and HP Hood LLC announced the voluntary recall Sept. 20.
HP Hood said it discovered the potential almond contamination following a "routine maintenance" review but also said they have not received any reports of any illnesses so far.
Five varieties of refrigerated Lactaid milk in 96-ounce containers are included in the recall – whole milk, 2% milk, 1% milk, fat-free milk, and calcium-enriched milk – for potentially having trace amounts of almonds, which are undeclared in the recalled milk products' ingredients list.
The recalled milk products were shipped to retailers and wholesalers in 27 states in September.
A list of Lactaid milk containers affected by the recall and their best by dates, product names and expiration dates can be found on FDA's website.
Customers with the recalled Lactaid milk, which doesn't contain the lactase sugar found in traditional cow's milk, are advised to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund or exchange. Impacted customers can also reach out to Hood Consumer Affairs at 800-242-2423. The call line is available on weekdays between 9 a.m. ET and 5:00 p.m. ET."

Stupid and inconvenient allergies the ninja have:
Lloyd: Hayfever, hates summer and locks himself in the monastery but it doesn’t even do much because his eyes still get all swollen like a cherry. Jay makes fun of his sneezes.
Kai: he can’t eat eggs. He always throws up after. He can’t even smell eggs cause now he just automatically feels like throwing up.
Zane: he’s allergic to copper. I just find it funny if he was.
Nya: SHES CANONICALLY ALLERGIC TO PERFUME I REFUSE TO FORGET THAT.
Cole: he’s allergic to dogs. After he turned into a dog in dragons rising for a short time, Zane had to shove medicine down his throat.
Jay: Jay is one of the rare individuals who aren’t allergic to anything, he makes fun of everyone else’s. (Lies, Jay has a basic nut allergy and eh refuses to tell anyone and has went through years without anyone finding out, until Nya made him a cake with nuts in it.)

Would happily spread that Nutella all over his chest and abs, taking my good time to lick it all off 👅 👅
Really hope I don’t have a “nut allergy” if given the opportunity 🤣💜🧐

Regulus Black is the typa kid to have a nut allergy and be bullied for it relentlessly by his friends and Sirius.
Sirius Black is the typa kid to be lactose intolerance but eat dairy anyway, and then regret it endlessly later.

homunculus facts¡
about 20℅ of homunculi made in master,s lab should not be used by customers with tree nut allergies• master refuses to label this because he believes allergies are a plot by the government•
if you,re curious how to know which ones' they,re the ones with almonds for fingernails•
btw master will not elaborate on what the allergy plot is supposed to accomplish ¯\_(⊙_ʖ⊙)_/¯
in other news' I ate those lizards in the lab and now every night at 3:22 precisely my little tummy glows green•
some homunculi sing with a lovely high voice that is called „homunculo„ by choir directors• they are valued for their ability to drone menacingly in descant•
i thought i had a cold this week' but it turned out to be a little slug•
master will be giving kids amulets when they come trick or treating this year¡¡¡

no you know what screw this I’m making a poll out of spite
context I’m having an allergic reaction right now because the Cinnamon Glazed donut I was eating contained finely crushed walnuts in the glaze and I didn’t realize until I ate almost half of the freaking thing
there was absolutely nothing on the label or sign to indicate any nuts or other unanticipated allergens. the name was simply Cinnamon Glazed. Who the hell does that. But ofc this is Pakistan, so I shouldn’t be surprised.
No. Screw that. This is one of the things I hate the most about Pakistan. Food allergies and other such diseases aren’t taken seriously because they’re not common. The standard of food quality is so low, cross contamination happens all the time and in THIS SPECIFIC CASE THEY INTENTIONALLY INCLUDED WALNUTS IN THE RECIPE AND DID NOT PUT A SINGLE STUPID WARNING OR MENTION ANYWHERE. I WANTED A CINNAMON DONUT. NOT IRRITATION AND VOMIT IN THE BACK OF MY THROAT. ALLAH KI KASAM.

I fuckin hate certain chocolate companys. I got a damn nut allergy and these fuckin shits keep puttin damn hazelnutpaste in their fuckin chocolate! AND DON'T EVEN ADVERTISE IT! LIKE THIS IS NOT NORMAL ALPINE MILK CHOCOLATE NAH THIS IS A FUCKIN DEATH TRAP FOR PEOPLE WITH NUT ALLERGIES! STOP PUTTIN HAZELNUTPASTE IN IT JUST KEEP THAT SHIT OUT! Urgh...I can't eat any of my christmas chocolate cause I am riskin a fuckin allergic reaction...😒 Btw the alpine milk one is an example cause you wouldn't check the ingredients on it...cause it just says MILK. CHOCOLATE.
They also put it in every other kind of chocolates they got...except the white and dark one 😒 I eat both but for people who don't want to or can't and want to eat normal chocolate...like THIS SHIT AIN'T IT URGH 💀
If you guys now say:" Oh buy different chocolate." I AM TRYING TO BUT IT AIN'T THAT EASY! Also I am not only screaming about this cause of me. My allergies are not that extreme. I am screaming about this cause of people with severe cases. Maybe little kids or whatever who then get a piece from a person who doesn't know...and then eat it...and they get a anaphylactic shock or something...
OH and lets not even beginn with the fact that ALOT OF FUCKIN CHOCOLATY KIDS SWEETS HAVE DAMN NUTS IN IT! (I am from germany btw) I am talkin about Hanuta, Knoppers, Kinder bonbons, etc. THERE ARE SO MANY OF THESE FUCKERS. But that's a rant for another day.
Anyways thanks for comin to my tedtalk lol.

Sometimes it's annoying how unseriously people take my allergies when they find out I won't die. Like, yeah, I won't die, but that doesn't change the fact that I am allergic, my body doesn't like this, I will suffer.
I don't mind being the taste tester for people who do have deadly allergic reactions to the same allergies I have, don't get me wrong. Because I'd rather have one of my allergic reactions than have them nearly die. Doing that doesn't bother me.
It bothers me when people don't take into account the fact that I have allergies. I'm not asking for accommodation in places I really shouldn't be eating, like I won't go into an Asian restaurant with a soy allergy and demand they make something I can eat. Because I'm not an asshole and the world doesn't revolve around me, I can save everyone the time and energy, if I just eat somewhere else.
But allergies are serious whether you'd die from them or not, the fact that I won't die from mine doesn't mean that I don't avoid my allergies like the plague. My reactions are real, and they're painful.
If it's a minor reaction, I suffer for a few hours with stomach cramps and nausea, but if it's big enough, I could be out of commission for several days because of how sick I get. Hell, even the smell of my allergies can make me nauseous and give me headaches.
It just kind of bugs me when people that have known me for a long time, and this is pointedly at my parents who have seen my intense reactions firsthand, act like my reactions to having my allergies being cooked around me is overreacting. I'm not overreacting when I get headaches and nausea from someone microwaving leftovers that have copious amounts of nuts or soy, I'm not overreacting when I refuse to eat around them while they eat their dinners with a lot of soy or nuts because I get headaches and nausea, and I'm not overreacting when I'm upset that I have to constantly remind them of what I can and can't eat.

Nut Allergy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nut Allergy - A food allergy in which there is an unpleasant or dangerous immune system reaction after nuts are eaten.
A Nut Allergy specific variation of the Food Allergy flag. I wanted to give an example of what possible variations of the flag might look like. I welcome others to make their own specific variations of the food allergy flag.

Maple Spelt Banana Bread
Tumblr media
This Maple Spelt Banana Bread is simple but beautiful. It is fluffy, has a deliciously nutty flavour without nuts, which makes it suitable to your friends and family with nut and/or dairy allergy, and is just delightful with a cup of tea or coffee!
Ingredients (makes a loaf):
½ cup plain flour
1 1/2 cup spelt flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
½ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter
3 over-ripe bananas
2 tablespoons demerara sugar
1/3 cup pure Canadian Maple Syrup
4 eggs
1 teaspoon Homemade Vanilla Extract
1/3 cup spelt milk
1 tablespoon pure Canadian Maple Syrup
Butter a large loaf tin, and line with baking paper. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, combine plain flour, spelt flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and salt. Give a good stir and set aside.
Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat once butter is melted; set aside.
Preheat oven to 175°C/345°F.
In a large bowl, mash bananas thoroughly with a fork. Stir in demerara sugar and half of the Maple Syrup, then add the eggs, one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Finally, gradually whisk in Vanilla Extract and spelt milk.
Gently stir spelt flour mixture into banana mixture with a rubber spatula until just blended. Then, stir in remaining Maple Syrup and melted butter until well-blended. Pour batter into prepared loaf tin, and place in the middle of the warm oven. Bake at 175°C/345°F, for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean.
Let Maple Spelt Banana Bread cool slightly before removing from the pan, and placing onto serving tray. Brush generously with Maple Syrup, to glaze.
Serve Maple Spelt Banana Bread with a nice cuppa.
