Dew, in the hospital filling out paperwork: "It says to write my full name... I'm pretty sure it's the same one as when I'm hungry, but I don't know." -writing- "Age... I certainly do... Sex, I have that sometimes... Allergies? No thank you I already have two... Do you know why you are here? That sounds like a pretty existential question to ask someone at a time like this..."
Aether, filling out Dew's actual paperwork, writing: "Ate a Hexbug Nano toy-"

Hmm so i read a meta post this morning about Christine Chapel and how making her all outgoing and vivacious and having her kick ass and fight and flirt and party and etc on SNW makes it retroactively worse that she's such a shrinking violet on TOS and well
on one hand, it does seem incongruous and makes it look like SNW, for all it tries, doesn't really know what to do with a quiet woman apart from resorting to the formula of "retool her into a Strong Female Character, which means a female character that shoots stuff and says quips and is sexy but cynical about it, which is Empowering. We'll even throw in some stereotypical war trauma to show we're deep!"
But on the other hand... characters do regress! As do real people. Sometimes a character arc isn't a pokemon evolution into the character's ideal form, sometimes characters do get worse with time (by which i don't mean worse morally-speaking, just... you check in with a character and they're in a worse place in life than they used to be). Idk that the show will go there with Chapel, or if it's just that her characterization is all over the place, but something like that might not be uninteresting to watch

Thanks to @local-business-man for giving the idea for the lamp.
The Lamp Medic. (I drew him in the Hazbin Hotel style)
I found this strange lamp. I think it looks cool.

My dad is getting ready to go into surgery as I write this, and my brother is going to visit with him for a while beforehand, so I was like, "Give him a pat on the head from me." because 1.) It'd be kind of funny, and 2.) It feels less serious than "I love you" or "Good luck".
I'm just kind of sitting here, getting ready for work, trying not to think too hard on all of it.
