hey so i know i’ve not been super active because ughhh real life is stressful i wish i could stay on tumblr my comfort space all the time but i cannot but anyway- enough about that.

i will try to make a recommendations list soon, i know i’ve not been able to read a lot and have missed some great fics by great writers but i will try to make a list of some of the amazing fics i’ve read recently and post it with all the links

just weirdly realised how at one point reading fanfiction was one of the most comforting things but now i can hardly get time to do that

and i feel it might be the case for many people. but thank you to all the fic writers who take out time from their busy schedule and share these amazing stories with us, stories about characters we love!!

🥰 The Last Devil to Die (Thursday Murder Club #4) (Richard Osman, author; Fiona Shaw, narrator) - still loving the characters, love to hang out with them & Osman's plots move along nicely so you don't get bored at all. Fiona Shaw's narration is great & as a little treat she & Osman have a nice little chat at the end.

🥰 Four Letter Word For Intercourse (bendingsignpost) - 194K, destiel AU - adult college student Dean & professor (and phone sex worker) Cas - LOVE this fic so much & had kind of forgotten about it until it came up as a rec in one of my romance discord servers. Just, so good.

😊 Mrs Sidhu Investigates (Suk Pannu, author; full voice cast) - 2 episodes of the BBC Radio 4 program: #1 Murder with Masala; #2 Mrs Sidhu's Dangerous Highland Game - I prefer the slight changes made for the TV show's characterizations but still eminently enjoyable. (Meera Syal still absolutely rules!)

🥰 Lucky Bounce (Cait Nary) - extremely delightful hockey romance. Low/no angst, charming, cutie MCs. Definitely in the 'no plot, just vibes' category which honestly I love when done skillfully.

do u by chance have any more j/b recs similar to Living Fiction by Archetype_Electraheart in terms of the platonic friendships Brienne has with other characters? i loved the dynamic between Brienne and the Tyrells, Renly and Ellaria! i felt like those friendships really cultivated a great mindset for brienne regarding on how she sees herself and im a sucker for supportive friends!! :,-))

Ooh interesting one! Yes, there are a ton where Brienne is friends with other characters, including many of the classic modern AUs. I’m gonna assume you’re up for any premise.

Fever by Lady_In_Red: Brienne is close with Renly and the Tyrells. This is a very different fic to Living Fiction, but interestingly Loras is also a photographer in this one!

Ugly Pretty series by seamscribe: Brienne is a model, Sansa is also a model, Renly is her best friend and a fashion designer, Margaery is her stylist, Loras is her publicist, everybody is friends with everybody.

With All Your Faults (WIP) by sea_spirit: Brienne is on a baseball team with Sansa, Arya, Margaery, Shireen, Dany, Ygritte, Lyanna, Yara, Meera, Gilly.

Bound Together by almostabeauty and nurdles: Margaery is Brienne’s best friend and encourages her to go to the sex club (this is more wholesome than the sentence suggests, or at least as wholesome as you could get in a sex club lmao)

It’s Like Weather by ssstrychnine: Brienne eventually befriends her co-worker Sansa. This happens on the fringes of J/B’s developing relationship, but what I like is how Brienne tries to open herself up to the possibility that someone might actually want to be friends with her.

Beast and the Beast by SigilBroken: I kinda love the dynamic that Brienne has with her housemates Oberyn / Ellaria / Asha later in the story, although mostly they really want Brienne to join their orgies lol (again this is more wholesome than it sounds…)

Shoot the Moon by hardlyfatal: Sansa and Arya are Brienne’s close family friends

What Is True, But Not Ideal by Vera: Brienne and Tyrion are best friends even before Jaime comes into the picture

That’s My Spot by IShipIt32: Brienne is an author and Sansa is her publisher/editor/friend

Unsheathed Steel by Isola_Caramella: Brienne works at the hospital with Margaery and Sansa, Missandei is her roommate

And I’m not sure if esanabridges is still continuing this story by Sew What? has Brienne and Margaery running a tailor’s shop together

I may or may not have gone through all of your fics and bookmarks on AO3 to have something good to read (love your taste, anyone who loves Bran, Arya and Meera is great in my book), and I've read it all now, so I'm wondering if you have any recs that's not in your bookmarks? (Btw, I love, love, love your Queen Arya fic, I'm crossing my fingers that she's able to reach Raventree Hall safely)

That’s gotta take some dedication to get thru all my work (88,525 words worth) and everything in my bookmarks! Wow. I’m going to post another oneshot tonight I hope and I’ll get back to my WIPs, especially the Arya one after finals next week. I’m not spoiling anything about where that will go.
