What my depression did to me!
If screaming my lungs out were never enough for you, to be heard from me
Then you will never know what my depression did to me
How long do I have to keep it a secret
When the ones who know this about me, speaks ashes and just walks away
I neglected what I still have
And kept close what I never had
I threw many signs on everyone, no one get them
But when someone did, they said that I'm just looking for attention
How am I, to get up from the bed
When I slept with the expectation that till morning, I'd be dead!
When everyone including me taught myself, "I am no-good even with any help"
Then how were you to know, that I am dying to run away from myself
Yes! Its in my past! Its in my head! Its all in my mind!
But no! Its killing me dead right now in the inside
Don't think I'm ignoring or ghosting you
That is why I isolate me from losing any of you
I am afraid of speaking each time
I don't know, speaking this time gonna be my pain, my anger, my tears or burning flames
Please don't let the distance grow like wire of telephone
I don't want to end up being alone
I, I, I can't stand in front of the mirror, that's not me! that's someone else
How!, why!, from when did my own reflection started to laugh!, and haunt!, and anguish on myself!
I sit and watch the time fly
A warm request :-
Wishing that this feeling will be different next moment as it passes by
Please don't just walk away or get frustrated from the one going through any kind of suffering, if you really care for them please show them and let them know even when you have to say one thing a million times... They've literally went so numb from what they are going through.. Don't lose your hope on them, cause thats the last thing keeping them alive. Please hold on for them, they will surely catch up to you. Give them love, time and listen to them, don't ignore.
And if you are struggling or suffering, please try to speak up, it will be difficult but there are many people suffering the way you do in this world, who don't even know you or you don't know them but they are supporting you because they know what it is like. "Your feelings and emotions are valid" "You are valid" your feelings and emotions might have been felt by others but not the same way you do so tell and show and express in your way to this world, you don't know for how many, you are gonna be their voice. Because we all can read some part of our story in yours.
You can share your story, struggle, pain or suffering with me, here. We may not know each other personally but we all can give each-others some hope. And let them know they all are worthy of being loved, respected and prioritized.
I wish I may be some kind of help to you!

Description: Once there were four brothers, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Donatello, who were always together. Until, one day, one got separated from the rest. Donatello. Now years later, they face each other. Although Leo and Raph don't remember this mutant as their brother, Mikey remembers this turtle as his friend when younger. So does Donatello. What will they do? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"That was when we escaped."
Silence fell throughout the room. Until Mikey noticed April shed a tear, "April?"
She wipes it away, "I'm sorry. I just thought I've grown so much and then this new chick comes out of nowhere and makes it like I haven't learned anything! I was weak."
Splinter wraps his arm around her, comforting, "You are not weak. April, you have come so far. I am glad you did not use your powers."
"But Master, that's the thing, I couldn't. It's like I freaked out and it couldn't come out." She explains.
"Hm," Splinter raises his hand to his chin, scratching his beard, "that is most peculiar. Come, let's discuss this over lunch. Kirby was so kind to let us stay for just tonight."
One by one each left the room and to the kitchen where both fathers made food. Still, a voice bothered one of the brother's brains. He shrugs it off. Nothing important.
————Elsewhere————
"Enter." A loud voice echoes in the room.
Walking in comes a lady, dressed in black, with twelve men behind her. She bows to the man in front of her and her men follow, "Father."
"Karai. Why are my men down like this before me."
"We had an alternation."
"With one girl?"
Karai says nothing. Not sure how to say three men had taken her and her army down.
The man grows weary of patience and points to one of the men behind her, "You. What happened."
The foot ninja tenses up, "We were ambushed, Master."
"By whom."
"By three unknown ninjas." The man's eyes widened in shock, "We had the girl at her knees before they came down and attacked us. They took her and left."
He makes a face of disgust. How could his clan fail him so? To three unknown ninjas?
"So, we have another enemy trying to take my place here in this city. They will fall as the rest. Leave foot ninjas. Karai, stay."
They rise and leave as ordered, leaving the woman by herself with her Master, her father.
"Karai, come here."
She stands up and walks towards him. For a while, neither said a word. Not knowing what to say.
"I'm sorry, father. I have dishonored the clan."
"You have dishonored no one. Sit beside me. I trust I can let you handle things since now you know there is more than just one of them."
"Of course. I was just caught off guard. I'm sure I can take care of them next time we encounter each other."
He nods before asking, "And this girl? Is it true that she has a power like no other?"
"I sensed something great inside of her but she didn't show me. Maybe I would've had a real challenge with her if she had brought them out to play. It was like she was afraid of what she had." She laughs softly, "But nothing I could overcome. I swear, father if they hadn't shown up, she would've been here begging for your mercy."
He raises a hand causing her to stop speaking, with a loud voice, he calls out, "Baxter."
Within a couple of minutes, a scrawny man walks in with a journal, "Yes, Master."
"Good, you brought your book. Write down everything my daughter says. I need to remember this and study my enemies."
Baxter stands straight and pulls out a pen, waiting for Karai to speak.
"Now," he starts, "Tell me about the ninjas who helped her. The way they were dressed, the way they fought."
Karai looks up to try to remember how they looked, "They dressed in baggy clothing. Coats, pants, and hats. It was unusual and looked hot and tiring to fight in those. When they first fell from the rooftops, I thought they were amateurs. Completely unprofessional." She looks back down at her father to make sure he was listening and understanding what she was saying.
Once again, he nods and tells her to continue.
"They each fought differently though and with unique weapons. I only really had barely fought two of them at the beginning. One was very built even under all those clothes, he had sais. He was rough and messy, still the strongest I've fought out of the three. Then, there was the second one. Strong and confident, he fought very smoothly. He wields katanas." She stops speaking and tries to think about the last one. Something about the voice seemed familiar to her.
Baxter breaks the silence and Karai's train of thought by clearing his throat, "Is that all?"
"No," the man speaks, "She has one more to speak of."
"Yes, yes. The last one, he was the one who picked up the girl and brought her to the rooftops. He has nunchucks. His style of fighting is free, nonetheless, he gets the job done."
"Did you notice any symbol of them? On their weapons?"
Karai shakes her head, "No, nothing. Didn't seem like they served any master."
"Good," he says, "maybe we can recruit them to be on our side. Capture them all or one, I will speak with them personally."
Once Baxter was done with writing everything down, he awaits for the next order. The man raises his hand, shooing Baxter away. Baxter gives a small bow before leaving the two alone once again.
"Why did you hesitate about the last one? Do you know him?"
"No, father. I thought I did. I don't."
He doesn't persist, "Hm, very well then. Go, change. Get ready for your next mission."
She nods, "What will that be?"
"Find out who these newcomers are. They can be of use to me."
Bowing, she leaves without saying anything more. She walks down the stairs and into a huge auditorium where many men who fought for the master stayed.
She clears her throat, all eyes turning towards her, "Alright, listen up! We have a new mission. We must gather information on these new ninjas here in New York City. Right now, our only lead is the girl. Find out her true identity, using this," she brought out the girl's weapon, the tessen, "Don't touch it with your hands, put on gloves. This should have her DNA since she used her bare hands." She hands it to Baxter, who came up to her, and begins to work.
"After he's done with his part, I want the rest of you to dig more info on her. I want to know her friends, her family, the school or schools she's gone to, everything," she takes a deep breath, "that's all." She walks away but of course not without someone bothering her.
"And what about you, Princess? Shouldn't you be here helping us?"
"Hush it, Bradford. I will be helping, in the comfort of my room. This whole area reeks of sweat. When's the last time any of you have taken a shower?"
He doesn't say anything and backs off. Everyone knew not to mess with her but still some people here liked pushing her buttons to see what made her tick.
Karai goes back upstairs to her room. Locking the door behind herself, she undresses and heads into the shower. She needed to feel refreshed to continue working.
Jeez, what a hell of a day.
She finishes and steps out, getting dressed into something more comfortable. While drying her hair, she receives an email. She sits down at her desk, pulling up the email.
From: BAXTER
Subject: APRIL O'NEI
Girl's name: April O'Neil
Age: 17
Height: 5'1
Eye color: blue
Color: light skinned
Hair color: red-orange
Family: Father - Kirby O'Neil
Age: 48
Height: 5'6
Eye color: blue
Color: light skinned
Hair color: red-orange
School: Roosevelt High
School Friends: N/A
She smiles, "Thank you." What day was it? She checks her phone. It was a Sunday.
Perfect. Tomorrow, she will lead some ninjas with her and study April from afar. She pulls out her laptop, "Let's see what pops up when I search you guys up..."
For hours Karai researches on the two. She finds a lot, but nothing about learning ninjutsu. No classes from any dojo. From everything she's learned, she typed it out and prints it out. Grabbing her papers she goes back out down to the auditorium. Opening the doors, all eyes fall on her.
"Everything I say here is what you should all know from doing your research. Besides Baxter's work, thank you. Kirby O'Neil, is a scientist, not just any scientist, for TCRI. They are known for all the weird things that have happened here in New York City. These, uh, mutants to be exact-"
"More like freaks!" Someone shouts, some laugh.
"NOT freaks." She says harshly, as it echoes throughout the room, "mutants. Now, shut up and listen." The room quiets down.
"Anyway, he's been working with them for 20 years. In his early 30's, he had a daughter, April O'Neil, our target. The mother died while giving birth. As for April, she's a straight-A student, known for her kindness around the city. Helping with shelters, animals, and the environment. All sounds good, great even,"
Everyone around the room agrees, "But not what we need. I want to know her friends, where she was taught ninjutsu. No one like her gets good in a year. She's had to be training with someone in secret for years. Who knows if her father knows or not, I need two groups. One for the father and one for April."
"If I may," Karai turns her head to face Baxter, "I will gladly lead the group for Mr. Kirby."
People snicker, what a joke. Baxter? A leader? No one laughed anymore though when Karai agreed.
"Sounds good. You can pick your group, I will pick whatever leftovers I get for April. This mission will start tomorrow," She turns around, prepared to leave, and she says one final sentence, "They will beg for mercy from the Shredder."
