Hi Fi! I’m seriously considering starting some sort of book club but instead of books, we would be discussing your fics lol. I always enjoy 🍁’s asks, their insights are amazing (Shout out to 🍁anonie, I call you leafy in my head). I came here because of consort!Minho but lwl!Hyunjin is salsa dancing his way into my heart. Can’t get over the scene where he and reader are coming up with their fake dating backstory. Are these two kids going to catch feelings on fictional dates alone? Cause I’m halfway there!!! Also, I just keep finding music very VERY fitting for lwl. Once again, we’re in dire need of a Fi’s Fics’ Club so I can gush about your fics with my fellow Fi’s Fics’ readers. On another note, I was left speechless after reading Touch 02, I want you to know from the bottom of my heart that I’m really amused by reader’s characterization and her lack of self-preservation (if that ain’t me!) I enjoy her very much, probably my favorite oc after consort!reader. Big dick energy right there, undefeated, the 🐐, she really went all in and did Chan like there was no tomorrow. i’m fully imagining you and 🍁 having some super in-depth book club discussions on thematic resonance and subtextual features. and then i awkwardly stumble in to say i wrote a thing bc it was kinda neat. fi the author = no brains, head empty, just thoughts about two mortal enemies maybe wanting to smooch a little.

i love the fake-first-date scene, the two of them just play off each other so well. there’s a lot of drama in lwl, especially surrounding hyunjin, and i liked having that sweet moment for him. otherwise, he definitely comes off as the strange semi-antagonist of the first chapter, but there are reasons for this 😇

touch!reader is delightful. no time for chan’s bullshit but weak for the effect she can inflict on him. the aftermath would be very interesting - these two had barely any kind of relationship beyond mild contempt and a mutual ride-or-die best-friendship with felix. figuring out where they stand now is difficult. especially for chan, who has to go back to his usual role of responsible leader and live his life while reeling from the only person to ever rock his world like that.

it’s a very interesting thing to speculate 👀

ps: 1D was definitely my first foray into RPF, but the inspiration for fanfic was a strange mix of harry potter, pokemon and the super obscure secret of moonacre film. i’ve had a strange fanfiction journey 😂

Would you rather Taylor ignore the up and coming artists who cite her as their inspiration simply because they're LGBTQ so it doesn't come off as baiting? Girlinred has been talking about Taylor's influence as both a business woman and a songwriter for over a year. Taylor didn't say anything in that post baity except that the album was amazing and people should listen. She didn't scream "this album is so relatable". Regardless of Taylor's sexuality, she is a sponge for music, she has always listened to different artists and different genres. For a bit there, she was promoting Nicki Minaj (before the Twitter fiasco), does that make her a black rapper or suggest she could relate to the life Nicki sang about? No. Great art is great art regardless of the sexuality of the artist AND it's sad when people pigeonhole gay artists. People on LSA are now discussing if Doja Cat has the potential to be as big as MJ and Prince. And ffs, this woman has been popping for like what 2 years? How in the world is she already being compared to those kind of legends? What suprised me, in the poll it was almost 50/50 and the majority voted yes, that she has the potential. I find so disrespectful to compare these legends who have impacted the music and the world forever, to someone who became famous for singing like a cow and being anti-black. I truly don't think she has the potential to be megastar. A popstar or superstar? That's more likely. Don't get me wrong, she is talented, a lot of songs are catchy, she has a nice body and she can write. But none of her perfomances are really that outstanding to me. Her career blew up because her songs are very very Tik Tok friendly and she keeps that patterns and she was "only" able to pull a 110k sales because she dropped the deluxe album a day after the official album release. Besided that, she is just as vulgar and hypersexual as any other rap girl (I do consider her a rap girl, rapping over pop music and sometimes singing. Like Drake lol). The only difference is she's wrapping it in a sweet pop music hit, while Megan Thee Stallion or The City Girls rap on Hip Hop beats. All three of these acts are equally in your face with their hypersexuality. I truly don't think it's very freeing for black women to try to claim the male gaze, bc we're already as hypersexualized and masculinized at the same timez And if any black woman wants to start a music career and is covered, she's considered boring. I just want a black/blackish star who just isn't hypersexual and has like a sweet girl-next-door-image. But I also can't with the biracial lightskins who give you dead fish bedroom eyes, ala Jorja Smith. At first I though I found that potential in Chloe x Halle but Chloe also went the route of showing ass and being hypersexual. Halle does it too, just a lot tamer bc 1. Disney and 2. It's not considered as scandalous bc she's skinny. And Chloe is trying too hard to be like Beyonce (as well as Normani) so you just see them as Bey 2.0. I just want a fresh face, who can shake the table by herself and is unique.

Doja is a meth head who's not mentally well and nobody will be as big as MJ and Prince ever.
