But at least there's always a good bit of stocking stuffers to get you through the winter, like this Broadwayesque Sally the Ragdoll inspired costume look made by meiker artist Elequinoa. with some added detail by me.

((OOC: fun game as always to waste some mibile time with if you love Sally and/or Tim Burton girls and goffik looks. Of course, Elequinoa's game makes a far more burton accurate Sally and Emily all ready to go,

but I prefer this look to better conceptualize my "Broadway Nightmare Before Christmas"-idea.))

I have an odd idea for a Horseland OC partly out of nostalgia for she show but also to address its serious problems with how it handles certain topics. Her name is Xandra and her horse is called Hornette.

I gave Hornette yellow stripes to resemble hornet/bee stripes. As her rider Xandra wears yellow in her outfits. Their symbol is a yellow lightning bolt.

I was inspired by Spirit stallion of the Cimarron for some of the designs. The other design is based on the famous horse story "Black Beauty", even resembles a bee :0

Both Xandra and Hornette are quite loners who prefer each others company than hanging out with the student body. They especially have zero patience for a certain set of gingers.

I like to think Xandra appears in a hypothetical season 4 as a mandatory New Character, showing up at the ranch after the recent death of a loved one. Hornette is a rescue horse formerly known as "The Quiet Storm" who acted aggressive towards humans and other horses until Xandra used her viola to calm her down. Eventually Xandra became the one human Hornette allows to touch. Xandra gave her a makeover as another way to move on from the past.

While Hornette is quiet she also has a fury that simply refuses to be tamed, and a competitive streak. Xandra is tact, polite and can be VERY blunt to the point of insensitive. Then again given the type of show Horseland was, some characters needed to get their feelings hurt....

Home on the Range OC Explorations

I'm doing a rewrite of home on the range and made an oc for it. Her name is Casey Ryland, a farmhand who works at Patch Of Heaven. I chose yellow as her theme color since we don't have a lot of disney princesses with that color (idc what marketing says, Belle's color is GOLD). The basic idea is Casey wears muted tones as a put on while brighter colors symbolize her true adventurous spirit. She also changes hairstyles and makeup so people have a harder time figuring out its her. I want her to look sweet while also clearly able to handle her own in a showdown.

Now for story: Basically it's a mix of both canon and the original draft Sweatin' Bullets. Casey is the quiet timid farmhand whom everyone assumes she has her head in the clouds. She considers the farm animals to be her real companions, has a special fondness for the cow trio. Except for Pearl, nobody else respects her due to her gender, race and overall personality.

But Casey a lot more observant than meets the eye. When she hears about possible foreclosure, she enters a shooting contest - disguised - and with surprising skill she wins the prize money! Unfortunately her opponent was Alameda Slim who is PISSED over being beaten by some upstart with no name. Not that he was going to play fair in the first place, but there's no greater pain for a man than his ego being challenged.

So using a mythical, totally not suspicious book, Slim conjures up the spirits of the meanest, nastiest mercs who ever lived, turning the valley into a ghost town. Now it's up to Casey, her bovine companions and the rest of the farm to try to save their home and the entire nation from Slim.

And just for funsies I'm giving her a love interest, to throw in a cute western romance. Maybe he can be a cowboy from a rival farm, or a ranger going after Slim. Or he could even be THE Lone Ranger since it's public domain and Disney already made a film adaptation (that im not really a fan of). Oooh there's just so many directions to take her!

Totally inaccurate depiction of my Wild Kratts SI.

All those years I've been watching wild kratts and i never made an oc... Until now! I want her to have a unique dynamic to the team. Then it hit me they didn't have a security detail. So I came up with a story that my OC is hired as their guard. She often fights more serious threats like poachers and idiot tiktokers.

A fashionista, she tried to recycle and use as much sustainably sourced materials as she can instead of live animals. This makes her something of a good counter to Donita Donata. I made four outfits, two for casual, one for exploring and one for active mission/battle.
