what can you do in 10 minutes?

-say 'subhaanAllah wa bi hamdihi* 100 times, so your sins would be forgiven, even if they were as the foam of the sea
-say 'subhaanAllah wa bi hamdihi, subhaanAllah al-'adhe em' 50 times, and they are two phrases light on the tongue, heavy on the scale, and beloved to Allah
-say 'subhaanAllah, wal-hamdulillah, wa laa ilaaha illa allah, wallahu akbar' 20 times, and it is the most beloved speech to Allah, and the best speech, and the heaviest in reward

-smile in the face of your brother, so it is sadaqah for you.
we waste many minutes waiting at the traffic light, and many more minutes waiting at the doctor's office, or for another appointment, or waiting a for a call or for a friend, and so on. Many minutes are lost here and there, but the wise one iS he who benefits from them. the
minute that passes will never return again. so let it become a custom that a we retain a juz of the Quran, or carry a small book in our pocket so that if we find a free minute, we benefit from it and gain reward and increase in knowledge.
and if you persist upon these actions, your tongue will become accustomed to reciting dhikr, and you will find yourself accomplishing more and more in a single minute. and if you take advantage of a single minute, you will then take advantage of the longer, wasted periods of
time.

தமிழில்
Praise be to Allaah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى‎‎
There is a list of Great things that can be done in Just one minute, by the permission of Allaah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala
1. In one minute you can recite Soorat al-Faatihah 3 times, reciting rapidly and silently. Some scholars said that the reward for reading al-Faatihah is more than 600 hasanahs, so if you read it 3 times you will, by the permission of Allaah, gain more than 1800 hasanahs – all of that in one minute.
2. In one minute you can recite Soorat al-Ikhlaas (Qul Huwa Allaahu Ahad) 20 times, reciting rapidly and silently. Reciting it once is equivalent to one-third of the Qur’aan. If you read it 20 times it is equivalent to reading the Qur’aan 7 times. If you read it 20 times in one minute each day, you will have read it 600 times in one month, and 7200 times in one year, which will be equal in reward to reading the Qur’aan 2400 times.
3. You can read one page of the Book of Allaah in one minute.
4. You can memorize a short aayah of the Book of Allaah in one minute.
5. In one minute you can say Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah wahdahu laa shareeka lah, lahu’l-mulk wa lahu’l-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer (There is no god except Allaah alone with no partner; to Him be dominion and praise, and He is Able to do all things) – 20 times. The reward for saying this is like freeing 8 slaves for the sake of Allaah from among the sons of Ismaa’eel.
6. In one minute you can say Subhaan Allaahi wa bi hamdihi (Glory and praise be to Allaah) 100 times. Whoever says that in one day will be forgiven for his sins even if they are like the foam of the sea.
7. In one minute you can say Subhaan Allaahi wa bi hamdihi Subhaan Allaah il-‘Azeem (Glory and praise be to Allaah, glory be to Allaah the Almighty) 50 times. These are two phrases which are light on the lips, heavy in the balance and beloved to the Most Merciful, as was narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim.
8. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “When I say ‘Subhaan Allaah, wa’l-hamdu Lillah, wa laa ilaah ill-Allaah, wa Allaahu akbar (Glory be to Allaah, praise be to Allaah, there is no god except Allaah, and Allaah is Most Great)’, this is more beloved to me than all that the sun rises upon.” (Narrated by Muslim). In one minute, you can say all of these words more than 18 times. These words are the most beloved words to Allaah, the best of words, and they weigh heavily in the balance of good deeds, as was narrated in the saheeh ahaadeeth.
9. In one minute you can say, Laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa Billaah (there is no strength and no power except with Allaah) more than 40 times. This is one of the treasures of Paradise, as was narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim. They are a means of putting up with difficulties and of aiming to achieve great things.
10. In one minute you can say Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah approximately 50 times. This is the greatest word, for it is the word of Tawheed, the good word, the word that stands firm. If these are the last words of a person, he will enter Paradise, and there are other reports which indicate how great these words are.
11. In one minute you can say Subhaan Allaah wa bi hamdih, ‘adada khalqihi, wa ridaa nafsihi, wazinata ‘arshihi, wa midaada kalimaatihi (Glory and praise be to Allaah, as much as the number of His creation, as much as pleases Him, as much as the weight of His Throne and as much as the ink of His words) more than 15 times. This words bring many more times the reward for other forms of tasbeeh and dhikr, as was reported in saheeh ahaadeeth from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
12. In one minute you can seek the forgiveness of Allaah more than 100 times by saying “Astaghfir-Allaah (I seek the forgiveness of Allaah). The virtues of seeking forgiveness are no secret, for it is the means of attaining forgiveness and entering Paradise, and it is the means of being granted a good life, increasing one’s strength, warding off disasters, making things easier, bringing rain and increasing one’s wealth and children.
13. You can say a few brief and concise words in one minute, and Allaah may bring about some good through them that you could never imagine.
14. In one minute you can send blessings on the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) 50 times by saying Sall-Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam (May Allaah bless him and grant him peace). In return Allaah will send blessings upon you 500 hundred times because one blessing brings ten like it.
15. In one minute you can motivate your heart to give thanks to Allaah, to love Him, to fear Him, to put hope in Him, to long for Him, and thus travel through the stages of ‘uboodiyyah (total enslavement to Allaah). You could do this when you are lying on your bed or walking in the street.
16. In one minute you can read more than two pages of a useful book that is easy to understand.
17. In one minute you can uphold the ties of kinship by calling a relative on the phone.
18. You can raise your hands and recite any du’aa’ you wish from the books of du’aa’, in one minute.
19. You can say salaams to and shake hands with a number of people in one minute.
20. You can forbid an evil action in one minute.
21. You can enjoin something good in one minute.
22. You can offer sincere advice to a brother in one minute.
23. You can console someone who is depressed in one minute.
24. You can remove something harmful from the road in one minute.
25. Making the most of one minute motivates you to make the most of other periods that would otherwise be wasted.
Al-Shaafa’i (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
When people go to sleep, I let my tears flow, and I recite a verse of the most eloquent poetry
Is it not a waste that nights go by and I do not increase in knowledge, yet this time is counted as part of my life?
Finally, the more sincere you are towards Allaah and the more aware you are of Him, the greater will be your reward and the more your hasanaat will increase.
Note that most of these actions will not cost you anything; they do not require tahaarah (purity) and they will not tire you out or take much effort. On the contrary, you can do them whilst you are walking, or in your car, or lying down, or standing, or sitting, or waiting for somebody.
These actions are also among the greatest means of attaining happiness, expanding the chest (i.e., bringing relief and joy) and removing stress and anxiety. May Allaah help us and you to do that which He loves and which pleases Him. May Allaah bless our Prophet Mohammad ﷺ.

Arguing on behalf of its author on the Day of Resurrection, as this surah will come on the Day of Resurrection and argue on behalf of its author to bring him into the gardens of bliss.
It causes good deeds and rewards for its owner, so whoever keeps reading it daily before going to sleep gets a lot of good deeds and rewards, for every letter of the Qur’an is a good deed, and a good deed is ten times like it, and Allah multiplies to whom He wills, as the Muslim gets a lot of rewards and good deeds if he persists in them.
surah mulk benefits hadith
There have been many hadiths about Surat Al-Mulk, including the following:
when to read surah mulk
It is Sunnah to read Surat Al-Mulk every night, but whoever reads it in the morning or other than the night is permissible, and its reward is hoped for him as well, but it is better to read it before going to sleep every night, for the act of the Prophet - may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

surah mulk summary in english
Surah Al-Mulk is one of the surahs that were revealed during the Meccan era. It is thus a Meccan surah, the number of its verses is thirty, and its arrangement in the Qur’an is the sixty-seventh surah.
The surah invites its reader to think and meditate on what Allah created for the heavens and the earth. Because this contemplation leads a person to real knowledge of Allah Almighty.
The surah has seven names mentioned in the Holy Qur’an and the honorable Sunnah of the Prophet. The first is a surah that is tabark due to the arrival of the word at its beginning, the monjia because it saves its owner from the fire.
The maniaa because it prevents its owner from the torment of the grave, and the dafiaa because it wards off the calamity of this world and the torment of the hereafter.
The shafiaa because it will intercede on the Day of Resurrection, and the mojadila because it argues with the owners of the grave and dialogues with them defending its owner from torment, and the mokhlisa Because it quarrels with the custodians of fire and prevents them from torturing its owner.

Benefits of Surah Mulk
Holy Prophet peace be upon him said that “there is a sura (chapter) in the Quran which consists of thirty verses. it will intervene over a man until he is forgiven.
There is a Hadith narrated by Imam al-Hakim in which the Holy Prophet peace be upon him said: “Surah al-Mulk prevents punishment in the grave.” Imam Hakim also related that Abdullah bin Mas’ud said that, the Holy Prophet peace be upon him is saddened that: “when a person is buried in his grave, he will be approached from his feet and the feet will say no harm to you. for what is in my heart, the person always stood on me and read this surah, then the person will be approached from his chest, and the chest will say that you have no right to do harm for what is in my heart, he has been used to recite Surah al-Mulk.
Then the man will be approached from the head, and the head will say that you have no way to harm what is in the heart, as the man recited by me. Then Abdullah bin Mas’ud said that this Surah prevents punishment in the grave. Based on this – and many others – Ahadith, the Muslim scholars hope that the people who regularly believe and read Surah al-Mulk will be saved from the punishment , and that they will earn the mercy and pleasure of Allah Almighty.
Surah Mulk before going to sleep:
There is a Hadith that says that the Prophet peace be upon him recited Surah al-Mulk every night. Abdullah bin Mas’ud relates that “whoever recites Surah al-Mulk every night, Allah will prevent the punishment of the grave by this Surah”. According to another tradition, when a person reads Surah Al-Mulk before going to sleep, an angel comes down to protect him because he cannot protect himself because of sleep. Therefore, Muslims must bring the recitation of Sura Mulk explanations and lessons into their routine, and for that they must memorize the Surah so that they can recite the Surah at ease when needed.

Taking over Ramadhan, one nicotine-free at a time
Tumblr media
Let's be real here. I am a millennial, who lives in Kuala Lumpur, has been in this communication industry ever since I graduated from high school and was medically diagnosed with anxiety disorder, panic disorder and codependency personality disorder. I mean, the list goes on and this shouldn't be a reason for my bad habit but it seems to be just about it.
Anyway, why is it that no one has told me what it feels to be a nicotine smoker fasting during Ramadhan? The anxious feeling of withdrawals at 3PM is not a pretty sight. It is enough that you are battling with your thirst and hunger, but for us, we are also fighting our demons to avoid smoking during the day in fear of the Almighty. Perhaps at the same time, there is a little spark of hope inside of us that we might also eventually get out from this addiction too.
Luckily for me, I was excused to fast during the first week of Ramadhan. But the moment it hits the second week, that's when my fasting challenge started. The first few days were a nightmare! I was slacking all day and doing my internship work all night because it felt like I was a 5 year old starving myself.
But then, my prayers have gotten a little more frequent and I have also promised myself that I would surprise my dearest mother a memorized recitation of the Al-Mulk (She still doesn't know this, so let's just keep it a secret, shall we?) From there, every single time I get a burst of adrenaline to reach for my Aladdin pod, I get on Youtube and recite the surah.
First of all, I am no saint. I feel like most of you have concluded this earlier. But this little gratification of mine is what makes me feel human. Somehow, it stopped the urges of smoking and I have learned to overcome it along the way. I realized that this is the beauty of Ramadhan - a time of spiritual reflection, self-improvement and no judgements. My halal-haram ratio friends were very encouraging when I first started praying again, I have never felt judged based on my appearances and slowly, I learned the art of patience.
Therefore, I am doing this is for myself, my mom and for my amazing bestfriends. Semoga istiqamah.

#RMQ
Bismillahirrahmaanirrahiim,
Mau sharing² sedikit ilmu yang aku dapet dari kajian tentang bedah ayat Al Mulk oleh @quranreview. Kajiannya itu namanya RMQ.
Singkatannya adalah..
*jeng jeng jeng
.
.
💖 Review and Memorizing Al-Quran 💖
Jadi ini itu program menafsirkan sambil menghafal surat Al-Mulk. Program ini berjalan selama 1 minggu.
*doakan akuh semoga istiqamah guys :'
Kegiatan pertama dari program ini membedah surat Al-Mulk ayat 1-5. Tapi disini aku bakal bahas sampai 2 ayat aja.
Bayangkan dalam 30 ayat surat Al-Mulk kita rubah menjadi bentuk gerbong² kereta.
Gerbong pertama (ayat 1-4) membahas tentang kekuasaan Allah.
Gerbong kedua (ayat 5-15) membahas tentang surga dan neraka.
Gerbong ketiga (ayat 16-22) membahas tentang ancaman yang dekat.
Gerbong keempat (ayat 23-24) membahas tentang hidup yang pendek.
Gerbong kelima (ayat 25-27) membahas tentang kapan waktunya ancaman itu.
Gerbong keenam (ayat 28-30) membahas tentang lemahnya manusia.
Pada ayat 1, ada kata tabarok
Tumblr media
Arti tabarok disini adalah :
1. Beyond the expectation
Ayat kedua membahas tentang contoh kekuasaan Allah,
Misal ada orang kafir nanya,
"Memang Tuhanmu itu bisa apa?"
Nah.
Ini jawabannya.
Tumblr media
Allah tau banget kita gimana.
Wallahu a'lam,
Sekian materi yang aku dapat dari ikutan RMQ pertemuan-1.
Jazakumullahu khairan katsiran team @quranreview~

Memorizing Important Surahs From the Quran
Children must start memorizing basic surahs at a young age. The Quran is a book of immense importance for Muslims, and all Muslims should be able to read and recite it. While some parents want their children to memorize the Quran completely, that is an optional but very praiseworthy target. However, earning some surahs is essential because they form the core of our daily Islamic practices and activities.
Tumblr media
The first surah all Muslims should memorize is Surah al-Fatiha. Knowing this surah is essential to offer namaz (prayer), and it’s also a dua asking Allah to guide us. Therefore, it has many beneficial meanings. Two other surahs that Muslims should memorize are the last two in the Quran, al-Falaq and an-Nas. These surahs serve as protection against all forms of evil, and therefore, we should recite them regularly as well. Learning the last ten easy surahs to memorize of the Quran is easy and most young Muslims do that too.
Tumblr media
Ayat al-Kursi is the 255th verse of Surah al-Baqarah and learning this is important because it shows Allah’s greatness. Reciting this verse on certain occasions is also recommended for Muslims. Besides this, we should recite Surah al-Mulk at night as often as we can, though it is a relatively longer surah. Last but not least, we can memorize Surah al-Kahf which we should recite on Fridays, and it is a very informative and beneficial surah.

Not commenting on whether it is haram or not - but I want my heart to be filled with Quran - and I just don’t think you can have both - Wallahu A3lam. Alhamdulilah I really don’t listen to much music anyway but sometimes I do. I want to commit to never turning it on this year.
I will tally my daily/weekly agenda in my planner and make notes end of every month to see how I am doing. 2020 is going to be my year. Inshallah <3

The Prophet's Emphasis on Surah Al-Mulk: A Spiritual Beacon for Believers
Tumblr media
Introduction:
Surah Al-Mulk, the 67th chapter of the Quran, holds profound significance in Islamic tradition. Its verses encapsulate timeless wisdom, reminding believers of the sovereignty of Allah, the transient nature of worldly existence, and the importance of accountability in the Hereafter. Among the many virtues attributed to this surah is the special emphasis placed on it by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). In this article, we delve into the Prophet's emphasis on Surah Al-Mulk and its enduring impact on the hearts of believers.
The Prophet's Love for Surah Al-Mulk:
Narrated by Abu Huraira, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stated, "There is a surah in the Quran which contains thirty Ayat which kept interceding for a man until his sins are forgiven. This Surah is 'Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion.' (Surah Al-Mulk 67)." This narration highlights the Prophet's recognition of Surah Al-Mulk as a source of immense blessing and mercy from Allah.
Protection and Intercession:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) encouraged believers to recite Surah Al-Mulk regularly, especially before sleeping, as it serves as a means of protection from the punishment of the grave. He emphasized its role in interceding for the believer on the Day of Judgment, pleading for the forgiveness of their sins.
Reflecting on Allah's Signs:
Surah Al-Mulk invites believers to reflect on the signs of Allah's creation, urging them to ponder over the heavens and the earth, the alternation of night and day, and the celestial bodies in the universe. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) exemplified this reflection in his own life, frequently contemplating the magnificence of Allah's creation and encouraging his companions to do the same.
Seeking Forgiveness and Mercy:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) emphasized the importance of seeking forgiveness through the recitation of Surah Al-Mulk, as it serves as a means of attaining Allah's mercy and pardon. He understood the transformative power of sincere repentance and encouraged his followers to turn to Allah in humility and supplication.
Teaching and Recitation:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) not only emphasized the recitation of Surah Al-Mulk but also taught its meanings and lessons to his companions. He ensured that they understood the significance of the verses and applied them in their daily lives, thus enriching their spiritual journey.
Encouragement for Recitation:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) encouraged his companions to recite Surah Al-Mulk regularly, considering it a source of protection, guidance, and tranquility. He recognized its efficacy in strengthening one's faith and fostering a deeper connection with Allah.
Promotion of Memorization:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) encouraged the memorization of Surah Al-Mulk among his companions, recognizing the virtues associated with committing the Quran to memory. He understood the profound impact of internalizing its verses on the spiritual well-being of individuals and the Muslim community as a whole.
A Source of Comfort and Solace:
In times of distress and difficulty, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would seek solace in the recitation of Surah Al-Mulk, finding peace in its verses and reassurance in Allah's promise of protection and mercy. He demonstrated that true strength lies in turning to Allah in times of need and relying on His divine guidance.
Conclusion:
The Prophet's emphasis on Surah Al-Mulk underscores its significance as a spiritual beacon for believers. His love for this surah, coupled with his teachings and actions, highlights its transformative power in the lives of those who recite it with sincerity and reflection. As we strive to follow the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), let us cherish Surah Al-Mulk as a timeless reminder of Allah's mercy, forgiveness, and eternal grace.

Ramadan Tips
I put these together for myself, so I thought I’d share
1. Plan, plan, plan. Schedule your time in a way that will give you adequate time for worship, worldly tasks, and rest. Break up your acts of worship into manageable sizes. (It’s easier to memorize 1 line after every salah, than 5 lines at once.)
2. Renew your intention and say it out loud before every act
3. Try to implement consistent acts into daily routine, these are most beloved to Allah, even if small e.g. a) ayat al kursi after every salah. (RasoolUllah sallAllahu a’laihi wa sallam said for one who does so, the only thing standing between him/her and Jannah is death). b) tasbeeh after salah. c) donate some money every day, even if it’s just $1
4. Try to memorize the meaning of the small surahs we know so that it helps us gain khushu’
5. Try to memorize the surahs that are specifically praised for their virtue e.g. Yasin, Mulk, Waqi’ah, etc.
6. Recite as much Quran as possible
7. Make a list beforehand of all the du’as you’d like answered by Allah and be consistent of making them
8. Make a list of all your weaknesses and along with asking Allah to rid you of them, try to actively watch for them and correct them. One weakness that every one of us can be vigilant about is what we say. Backbiting, racist remarks, lewdness, and the likes can be the source of our damnation in the hereafter.
9. Repent, repent, repent There is no sin greater than His mercy. Even if you were to spend every second of every day sinning, His mercy is still greater. Be remorseful, say sorry, and promise Him you won’t return to the evil.
10. Try to wake up a few minutes before suhoor and pray two rak’ah. Some suggested donating the reward of these to the ummah of RasoolUllah sallAllahu a’laihi wa sallam.

What can you do in one minute as a Muslim to earn greater reward?
Time is of the essence, it is too precious to be wasted or neglected. The wise person is the one who pays attention to his time and does not treat it as a vessel to be filled with cheap things and vain talk. Instead, he limits it to worthy efforts and righteous deeds that please Allaah and benefit other people. Every minute of a person’s life carries the potential to raise his own status and to make his people happier, little by little.
If you are keen to attain the highest position, and bring the most happiness to your people, then forget about relaxing and keep away from empty amusement.
In one minute you can do a lot of good and earn much reward. In just one minute, by giving in charity, studying, memorizing, or striving to do good deeds, you can make sure that this minute of your life is not wasted. One minute may be recorded in your book of good deeds if you know how to make the most of it and take care of it:
Strive to make the most of each minute
There follows a list of things that can be done in one minute, by the permission of Allaah:
In one minute you can recite Soorat al-Faatihah 3 times, reciting rapidly and silently. Some scholars said that the reward for reading al-Faatihah is more than 600 hasanahs, so if you read it 3 times you will, by the permission of Allaah, gain more than 1800 hasanahs – all of that in one minute
If you read it 20 times in one minute each day, you will have read it 600 times in one month, and 7200 times in one year, which will be equal in reward to reading the Qur’aan 2400 times
You can read one page of the Book of Allaah in one minute
You can memorize a short aayah of the Book of Allaah in one minute
In one minute you can say Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah wahdahu laa shareeka lah, lahu’l-mulk wa lahu’l-hamd wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer (There is no god except Allaah alone with no partner; to Him be dominion and praise, and He is Able to do all things) – 20 times. The reward for saying this is like freeing 8 slaves for the sake of Allaah from among the sons of Ismaa’eel
In one minute you can say Subhaan Allaahi wa bi hamdihi (Glory and praise be to Allaah) 100 times. Whoever says that in one day will be forgiven for his sins even if they are like the foam of the sea
In one minute you can say Subhaan Allaahi wa bi hamdihi Subhaan Allaah il-‘Azeem (Glory and praise be to Allaah, glory be to Allaah the Almighty) 50 times. These are two phrases which are light on the lips, heavy in the balance and beloved to the Most Merciful, as was narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim
The Prophet ﷺ said: “When I say ‘Subhaan Allaah, wa’l-hamdu Lillah, wa laa ilaah ill-Allaah, wa Allaahu akbar (Glory be to Allaah, praise be to Allaah, there is no god except Allaah, and Allaah is Most Great)’, this is more beloved to me than all that the sun rises upon.” (Narrated by Muslim). In one minute, you can say all of these words more than 18 times. These words are the most beloved words to Allaah, the best of words, and they weigh heavily in the balance of good deeds, as was narrated in the saheeh ahaadeeth
In one minute you can say, Laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa Billaah (there is no strength and no power except with Allaah) more than 40 times. This is one of the treasures of Paradise, as was narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim. They are a means of putting up with difficulties and of aiming to achieve great things
In one minute you can say Laa ilaaha ill-Allaah approximately 50 times. This is the greatest word, for it is the word of Tawheed, the good word, the word that stands firm. If these are the last words of a person, he will enter Paradise, and there are other reports which indicate how great these words are
In one minute you can say Subhaan Allaah wa bi hamdih, ‘adada khalqihi, wa ridaa nafsihi, wazinata ‘arshihi, wa midaada kalimaatihi (Glory and praise be to Allaah, as much as the number of His creation, as much as pleases Him, as much as the weight of His Throne and as much as the ink of His words) more than 15 times. This words bring many more times the reward for other forms of tasbeeh and dhikr, as was reported in saheeh ahaadeeth from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)
In one minute you can seek the forgiveness of Allaah more than 100 times by saying “Astaghfir-Allaah (I seek the forgiveness of Allaah). The virtues of seeking forgiveness are no secret, for it is the means of attaining forgiveness and entering Paradise, and it is the means of being granted a good life, increasing one’s strength, warding off disasters, making things easier, bringing rain and increasing one’s wealth and children
You can say a few brief and concise words in one minute, and Allaah may bring about some good through them that you could never imagine
In one minute you can send blessings on the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) 50 times by saying Sall-Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam (May Allaah bless him and grant him peace). In return Allaah will send blessings upon you 500 hundred times because one blessing brings ten like it
In one minute you can motivate your heart to give thanks to Allaah, to love Him, to fear Him, to put hope in Him, to long for Him, and thus travel through the stages of ‘uboodiyyah (total enslavement to Allaah). You could do this when you are lying on your bed or walking in the street
In one minute you can read more than two pages of a useful book that is easy to understand
In one minute you can uphold the ties of kinship by calling a relative on the phone
You can raise your hands and recite any du’aa’ you wish from the books of du’aa’, in one minute
You can say salaams to and shake hands with a number of people in one minute
You can forbid an evil action in one minute
You can enjoin something good in one minute
You can offer sincere advice to a brother in one minute
You can console someone who is depressed in one minute
You can remove something harmful from the road in one minute
Making the most of one minute motivates you to make the most of other periods that would otherwise be wasted
May Allaah bless our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
[From the pamphlet, "The Best Way to Make the Most of a Minute" by Dr Muhammad ibn Ibraaheem al-Hamad] [islamqa4156]
