It's so over for the Mephies, they done fucked up istg

So, my Mephy was dared by his daughter Crystal to do an UwU in front of his husband, and this dumbass motherfucker decided to pull in @jadedazemations Mephy and had him do a Nya in front of Neo at the same time so he didn't look stupid by himself.

Not only did this set off Doom's overpossessive rage and his alien instincts off full force, but Neo might have gone and fried himself by accident. He ended up fine btw, but the Mephies did NOT.

I think I'm figuring out Neo's spikes btw, it was much easier to draw them this time and he ended up being so cute XDDDD as well as the Mephies themselves but they're always cute. And drawing Doom being a feral possessive freak is always fun, he's got his secret lil dark side to him that i love~ Comes with the territory of being Black Arms royal blood, sometimes your mate is just too cute and you're standing next to someone who is with him in another reality and yanno, sometimes you see red, it happens~ dw he didn't attack Neo, Neo was not harmed, but uh... Doom's husband was definitely mauled moments later XDDDDD

Revelations

That moment when you find out what you were named after.

Meet Sol! My newest MephDoom child. She's the middle sibling between Beast and Duppy in the Arcane timeline. She was named specifically after Solaris because she inherited a lot of her genetics from her uncle Iblis, who had been dead for at least a decade before she was even born. She also inherited a good bit from Chip, her great uncle, and Dark Gaia, her grandfather. It wasn't til she was 16 that she managed to sneak into what she thought was an old temple buried in underground ruins, and found out what she was named after.

Fun fact, her markings glow in the dark juuuust a little bit.

I don't talk about Arcane, like, ever??? And it's kind of a problem. See, Arcane Mephy and Cult Mephy are the same Mephy.

They both are able to peer into various timelines without having to go into the void. (Every timeline has some degree of change within them, so Mephiles in one timeline may have slightly different abilities than Mephiles from another timeline, for example.) Cult Mephy saw Camelot and hopped over to the time of King Arthur and successfully took over. Arcane Mephy, however, misjudged the jump. He and his daughter were branded as demons, and he was sealed inside Crys just like Iblis was sealed inside Elise.

When Crys woke up, thanks to Shadow and Knuckles finding her in a sealed coffin in some underground ruins, Mephy also woke up. He's extremely skittish and quiet compared to his other counterparts. He prefers to hide within his daughter's shadow, at least until Doom comes around. Then he sticks to Doom like glue and often seeks refuge in his shadow instead. Later the two of them have three kids. Duppy, Beast, and Sol.

What makes this timeline as different as it is besides the sealing of Mephiles, is Eggman has taken over the empire of his late father, Julian. He's grown up to be just as cruel, as he still runs Robotropolis with an iron fist and robotocizes those who stand against him, and he also destroyed the Black Comet, which was why Black Doom sought out his son. He was injured too severely to wait in the open until he was healed, and his hivemind had been destroyed, except for a few survivors, his personal guards that had gotten him out in time. He still refers to them as his army, even if it's only to soothe the pain of acknowledging his kingdom, his people, are no more.

When Doom eventually reunites with his son, he meets Mephiles, who decides to help heal him as he feels sympathetic for the suffering fallen king, and then the two of them bond over what they've lost and end up becoming a mated pair.

Shadow had still been reawakened by Eggman like before, but had been used more visiously as a weapon, without the option of free will this time. Eventually he was rescued by Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles after a brutal fight with them, and brought into their little ragtag group. Rouge and Omega aren't present, as Omega was never made to stand guard over Shadow, and G.U.N had long since been distroyed.

As for anything related to Soleanna, it was all buried when the land was destroyed and reformed by Eggman for his empire, with the castle being buried under the rubble. The Solaris project still happened, but the scepter had long since been lost to time, along with Elise herself.

Mephiles had continuously warned his children never to venture into the heart of Robotropolis, but Sol was more careful and crafty than her siblings and managed to slip in repeatedly without ever being caught, at least by Eggman and his troops. Eventually she found the ruins by complete accident, and what her mother had been content to leave behind was revealed to her. From then on she sees her parents as cowards for not standing up against Eggman given how powerful they both are.

Some things to note in this timeline:

Mephiles and Shadow are not enemies whatsoever, though Mephiles is still wary of him, more than anyone else, much to Shadow's confusion, as Shadow had already been with the group for quite a while before they found Crys and Mephy.

Crys and Shadow don't end up together in this timeline. I haven't figured out who Crys will end up with, but it won't be Shadow. However, Shadow and Amy will end up together, which will lead to Silver being born for the first time in another timeline besides Corrupted.

Both Mephy and Doom are extremely present in their kids' lives, as they are in every timeline, but Doom spends most of his time planning and executing supply raids with his son and the others, so Mephy has taken on a much more nurturing role than he ever would have in any other timeline. It helps that he only really feels safe around his family and Doom, and all of his walls are down. He's not combative or difficult to interact with in this timeline, and he's a lot more honest and patient. Similar to Neutral Mephy before Janice's death.

Btw! I made Sol out of this adopt i won the other day XDDDD Literally my last two adopts were made into her and Nightshade and i think that's very funny

MEPHDOOM BABIES

All the MephDoom babies decided to take a cross timeline trip to meet up for a kitty nap pile.

There's 12 of them in total (for now, tehee~ including @aspeedydemon 's baby Fae!)

I've been deadass struggling with this one for months, and finally sat down long enough to finish em, so enjoy XDDDDDD

Also, to note:

Soul, Dream, and Entity are the fabled triplets (this is the first time I've drawn them as adults YIPPEEEEE)

Nightfig and Nightshade are the only twins

The triplets are siblings to Ghost and Twilight in two timelines and siblings to the twins in another timeline

Duppy, Sol, and Beast are siblings

Emma's an only child

Ghost and Nightfig share a soul, as do Twilight and Nightshade, they are the same people born in different ways in different timelines

Gonna drop these here cause i feel like talkin about em, and i can't sleep atm.

Rot, Ruin, Revenant, and Son aren't tied to a specific timeline due to them having existed since before King Arthur was even born, but they are important for the Cult timeline. A timeline i don't think I've even properly introduced on here yet. So, there's gonna be a lot of time shinanigans, and it might be super confusing, and I'm so sorry about that ^^' it's just really hard to talk about timelines outside of Neutral without talking about other timelines in relation to them ^^' I'm also not using any notes for this, this is all stuff i remember off the top of my head cause i legit spend too much time in this silly lil universe of mine XDDDD

OH YEAH, ALSO, If you make it to the end you get a whole big blurb about Cult Mephiles himself, as a treat XDDDD

This is Ruin. The 'mother' of both Iblis and Mephiles. They were the one who corrupted Dark Gaia, and then were banished to the void for conspiring with him to take down his twin in pursuit of the throne. They're the reason the cycle of the Gaias even exists.

Their sons (not including the Dark Gaia minions):

(And all the other Mephies and Ibbies but Doomsday is the only timeline currently where they're both alive for me to show them together so just roll with it)

Ruin is a triplet, and their siblings are Rot and Revenant. Rot is the current guarded secret deity of the Black Arms, he is contained within the Black Comet to this very day, and revered as a god by the hivemind. Black Doom never really saw him as a god and more of a rampaging monster, but Rot has been worshipped for many millenia, ever since Doom's own father found him, back when Doom was still a youngling. Doom isn't one to break traditions, especially when it gives his people hope, so he goes along with it publicly, while in secret worshipping Mephiles, who he happily ends up with in a few timelines.

And then there's Revenant. Revenant is uncorrupted, unlike Rot and Ruin, and is the distant ancestor of Ariem. Revenant is a lot like Chip, in a certain way.

Not much is known though about Revenant at this time.

And this is Son. Son of Rot. Son is Ruin's nephew and the cousin of Mephy and Ibby, and there's so much to talk about with him, my sweet boy.

His mother was a mortal mobian who died during childbirth cause Son was fucking huge, it's also why Son does not have twin or triplet siblings, as they run in the family heavily, his mother didn't have the strength or ability to carry more than one child, and Son barely survived himself. He grew up wild, in a sense, because his father, Rot, was a purely instinctive creature and isn't even aware of his son's existence nor his own, so Son never got a proper name so he only is referred to as Son, Son of Rot (His mother was a monsterfucker, mad respect tbh cause same). He was clothed and somewhat cared for by a village right outside the Gaia brothers' kingdom when they found him, but no one ever dared to adopt him. Eventually, when he could take care of himself, he stopped appearing in the village, opting instead to live alone by his mother's grave up in the mountain. She was cast out for 'loving a demon', as Son was told, and it angered him so much that he went to live there by himself out of spite, anger, and sadness. He was not a demon's child, dammit. And he refused to surround himself with people who viewed him as such even if they never dared say it to his face.

Son is intelligent. He can speak, think, and feel like a normal person, he can comprehend complex subjects and he is well in tune with his own emotions. However, he is still an instinctive beast at his core. If anyone tries to get close to him without bewaring his instincts, he will become enraged and lash out at them, usually killing them, and he's highly protective of his mother's grave and those he's related to. Although he's never met his kin, if they're close by he can sense them and their familial ties, and would become fiercely loyal and protective over them, while simultaneously freaking them out by standing over them most of the time just staring at them with that big grin of his like some kind of EXE. He'd just be happy to have a family to belong in, you can't blame him, it was very lonely living in the mountain by himself.

I do have plans for Son in the Cult timeline, btw. You see, Lancelot and Crys had a secret 6th child, Hypersthene (Thane for short), who was sent on a mission by Mephiles to find and retrieve Son and was ordered not to come back until he succeeded, and he's been missing long before Lancelot's death. Crystal and Mephiles have since written Thane off as deceased, and none of Thane's siblings are even aware he existed at all. Bismuth and Sapphire were still toddlers when he left.

Also no, Bismuth and Platinum are not the same person and Platinum is born after Crys meets and marries Shadow waaaaay later on in the future.

The reason Bis and Plat look similar is the same reason Galahad and Silver look similar. Silver and anyone resembling/tied to him in ANY shape or form must exist in every timeline. And because Crys is with both Lance AND Shadow in the Cult timeline, Bis and Plat are their replacements. No one knows why Silver and those like him need to exist in every timeline??? It's just one of those weird time constants.

Okay you all were very brave and I'm proud of you for getting through the timeline stuff, so here's your Cult Mephy lore as a reward~

So, he successfully started a cult because, unlike other Mephies, he is able to see into other timelines. Each timeline varies slightly in its genetic makeup, it's how other timelines even form in the first place, it's more than just a butterfly effect, because those would be split timelines. Cult Mephy was able to see where Neutral and Arcane Mephy went wrong in building their cults, and he saw the creation of his daughter. He still went through with being with Janice, but was calculated about it and made sure not to kill her. Once he got what he wanted and Crys was created, he grabbed an Infinite from the canon timeline (which split the Infinite into two) cut off the Phantom Ruby's connection to the End, and filled it with his own influence and renamed him to Locke. Mephy then pulled both Locke and Crys with him to the past, to the time of King Arthur. He presented himself as a god, and Crys as a goddess, wormed his way into the hearts and minds of the people, and propped up his daughter as the face of the cult so he could fuck with things in the background and shape this timeline into what he desired.

When Crys married Lancelot, Mephiles used this to his advantage. He sent their oldest to find his cousin, promoted Bismuth to head of his personal guard and is now training Sapphire to join her brother, Topaz was tasked with replacing her father at the roundtable and killing King Arthur, Diamond is set to be next in line to the throne if anything happens to Crystal, and he's been trying and failing for centuries to get his youngest grandson, Emerald, to release his full power but Emerald refuses. All in all, besides that last hangup, everything's going extremely well for him, and he's managed to maintain and spread his influence even to present day. 06 never happens in this timeline.

Mephiles is also free to pursue Doom on his own. Fun fact, he's a lot taller than mobian Doom in this timeline but still a massive twink, pun intended, and he's had a crush on him ever since he saw his Neutral counterpart being worshipped by him. Unlike other Mephies, he's not shy about seeking out or accepting praise and reciprocating affection. Being in power so long has taught him how to effectively use his words, and since Janice never possessed him, he's a free man and can act on his own will.

He also plans to go to Soleanna and find Iblis once he comes up with a sufficient plan to do so, without killing Elise or traumatizing her cause the last thing he needs is his carefully sculpted empire crumbling around him by angering an entire kingdom cause he thoughtlessly hurt their princess.

See this timeline is a little screwed up because, the way things happen, him and his brother were still born (the Duke knew of Cult Mephy's existence but viewed him as a false god just so he had an excuse to do what he did anyway), and Mephy's counterpart is still locked away, all he cares about is finding Iblis. Iblis will have a connection to this Mephy, but it feels... wrong, displaced, and he never finds out that his actual twin is still sealed away. Cult Mephy might be... a tad possessive of his 'twin', and won't even let his own other self reunite with him out of selfishness and the desire to be whole again, plus he's missed Iblis and has been waiting ever so patiently to reunite with him. (Solaris doesn't happen this time guys i promise)

Mephiles, does feel guilt, however, when it comes to Lancelot. He was the one who orchestrated Lance's death, because he still held resentment towards Shadow. But later, when Crys and Shadow actually end up together, he no longer feels bitterness or hatred towards him. In fact he feels... remorse, and guilt, and he regrets having Lancelot killed. Crys was so happy with Lancelot. And when she's with Shadow, who is uncannily similar to Lancelot as if Lance reincarnated even down to the way he behaves and expresses himself, Crys sometimes calls Shadow by her late husband's name, and gets confused a lot of the time, but she genuinely does love him, and he knows this and eventually just lets her call him Lancelot in order to see her happy. And seeing this happen, knowing its his fault, seeing just how much Shadow cares about and loves Crys just like Lance did, it wakes Mephiles up and he realizes just how much damage he's done, despite all of Locke's insistent reassurances. Cult Mephy is one of the few Mephies to feel remorse for his actions, but it's far too late to fix it now. He's content living with the consequences of his actions, even though it hurts.

Also, fun fact, Locke has a crush on Mephy but they're both twinks, Mephiles has his eye on only Doom, and Doom is possessive as fuck, so bro is constantly fighting a losing battle. Also Mephiles had intended to get Locke and Crys together, but Crys fell in love with Lance before that could happen and Mephy was like 'Oh well, that works too i guess.'

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY MEPHDOOM NATION~

SO!!!!!!! THIS POST HAS SOME IN UNIVERSE AND IRL LORE.

First up, the AU lore. Because Mephiles has reintegrated into the timeline, people remember him fully. Ever since he came back, people have been able to remeber him as if they never forgot about him in the first place. Well, one day, he got jumped after insisting to Doom he could take a walk by himself in the rain. (Keep in mind Doom is great with disguises due to his shapeshifting capabilities so of course he followed his lil dark prince. Also, rain helps Mephy cope and try to detach himself from the loss of his twin. Seeing the sun makes his grief worse.)

No one knows who it was that jumped Mephy, he was shoved in a delivery box and placed back on his husband's doorstep before he knew what was happening.

Mephiles had a severe panic attack due to being forcibly trapped in a small space again and forgot he could puddle his way out, and the cardboard box he was in, it was one of those that not even a utility knife can easily cut into said cardboard, so scratching at it from the inside didn't help one bit, even though it was wet.

When his hubby freed him moments later, the half god was fucking DETERMINED to track down those that did this to him. Doom eventually humored him, while never telling him that he ate the perpetrators himself. It's not the first time he's done something like that, but Mephy doesn't know about any of Doom's hyper protective and obsessive tendancies, he doesn't even think Doom enjoys his company or existance but instead merely tolerates him, when in fact Doom worships him in secret.

Btw, it wasn't the thugs that put him on the doorstep, it was Doom, he just had to play it off like he didn't know what happened and 'found' the box on the doorstep, to keep up the illusion that he totally didn't follow his hubby or eat those people. (Mephy is fine with Doom killing people but cannibalism kinda disturbs him, and he also doesn't like being monitored, it makes him feel like he's not trusted or one wrong step will get him locked up again. Doom also doesn't want to chase his secret deity away with his behavior due to knowing about Mephy's anxieties, but is desperate to keep him safe because of what happened to Mephy. They both have some personal issues they're.... working on, regarding each other.)

Also, fun fact, Mobian Doom has fur, but it repels water a lot like his leathery skin in his normal form does, while Mephy just soaks it up like a sponge, the poor thing. Literally sad wet cat behavior.

So yeah, weird idea for a Valentine's post, but that's where the irl part comes in~

So, i caved and bought the Mephy figurine. He arrived when it was raining heavily outside, so the box was wet, and he was a literal wet cat, and i couldn't shake this idea, but it morphed beyond just a silly meme idea XDDDD so yeah, there's your irl lore. Have the pictures i took too.

Average travel experience with the triplets

Ghost and Twilight aren't here btw cause they're adults and they wanted to stay home and not deal with the screaming and crying and scratching/biting that comes with having feral lil siblings

Doom is like, always the toddler wrangler, btw. Mephy chose to carry the only kid who isn't a menace, while getting frustrated with his husband because he's taking too long. Truly he is the most Karen'est of all mall girlfriends. Doom, btw, does not mind this. It makes him feel like less of the old man he really is.

Fun fact, Doom likes to help around in the hatchery on the Black Comet whenever he's there. It's like a giant daycare, really. There are Black Arms families and stuff, like on any other planet, and there's one large 'building' that houses the babies when they need to be dropped off for whatever reason until their parents get back, whether they're larvae or fledgelings. And when Doom was off world, before he came back to earth, he spent a lot of time taking care of the little ones to give the hatchery staff more break time, and because he missed his sons. He got really really good at taking care of them, so a couple rowdy toddlers of his own are no match for the gramps that is their dad.

Also, you guys get to finally see what he looks like in public!!!!! He's royalty so like, sure he can change policies and amend what defines fucking treason for his species, but he still has to follow the dress code set up by the first Black Arms king. Of which there has only been one other. The fucker is banished but there's still shit Doom has to put up with from him. It's why his original garb in his alien form is all tattered, he doesn't actually give a shit about it, he'd rather lounge around in a shirt and nothing else, but in public he has to follow certain rules and keep up appearances. Unless he's on vacation, then he can wear Hawaiian shirts and whatever else.

Really the only thing he added to the outfit to give his own personal touch is the jewelry, he really likes brighter colors. It's why Mephy's so pretty to him.

Mephiles is 6'8, btw. Doom is 8'3. And Ghost is a little taller than Mephy while Twilight is a little shorter. And by a little i mean by half a foot each.

Mephy has such a 'Your father and i' ass karen pose and i love him for it, i have no idea how i managed to pull that off with his crooked ass spine but the soccer mom mall girlfriend in him is too strong to contain

Doom loves his husband. He really does. A little too much. To the point where, even though he wants to retire from his position as king, his hubby will use the sad cat eyes on him to pressure him into making more kids with him, which Doom cannot say no to. But fuck if he doesn't hate when his mate uses it against him when the kids turn out half feral right out the gate, which they always do. Btw they STILL go on to have triplets in the far future, Mephy's idea not Doom's, and as expected, this happens AGAIN.

The Shadow Virus, an apocalyptic Black Arms-esque zombie virus, was upon them. Doom's son, Shadow, went missing just before it started, a few years prior, when he went to work one day and never came home. And now Mephiles' precious daughter, Crystal, had just went missing too at the peak of the takeover, trying to find him, and Mephiles dared to ask Doom if they could have a child that same night. It didn't sit right with him, he never would've thought his darling mate would want to replace the very thing he held dearest, and he knew Doom was hurting from the disappearance of his own son, yet he asked anyway, while on the verge of tears, out of the blue, on one of the quietest nights of their lives. And yet, Doom obliged, because of course he did. He'd do anything his little dark prince, his god, asked of him.

Doom didn't know that it was so he wouldn't be alone.

Doom hadn't been taking care of himself ever since Shadow went missing. He loved his son, dearly. He was distraught. This was the third time something had happened to one of his boys. And despite the virus being linked to the Black Arms, it was disconnected from the hivemind, it was a separate hivemind, and his intelligence units couldn't pick up any chatter. He couldn't hold his faux mobian form very well anymore, he felt weak and frail, Mephiles had to take care of him and Eclipse momentarily took his place as king of the Black Arms for his people still orbiting the planet.

At the same time, even though his darling Mephy took care of him, he shied away from even the most basic touch. The insults were gone, replaced with anxious silence and fidgeting. Mephiles no longer cuddled with him at night, instead scooting towards the edge of the bed, leaving Doom cold and overwhelmed with detached loneliness. And Doom had a feeling as to why, Mephiles felt guilty. This was his fault. Doom knew he had something to do with it, but couldn't find the strength to ask why, could never confront him with it.

So when Mephy asked, on the night his daughter went missing, if they could finally have a child of their own, Doom said yes, desperately, without hesitation. He thought if he did this one thing, the Mephy he knew would come back to him, tell him why he did it, what he did to cause the apocalypse, and everything would be fine again.

Mephy didn't give him that reprieve. Instead he shied away from Doom more afterwards, things went missing around the apartment (hairbrushes, some of Doom's clothes, little momentos from during their marriage, small but significant things), and then the week after their egg was created, Mephy had fumbled and dropped it onto the bathroom floor. It was an accident, he'd been having an anxiety attack and dropped it while cradling it, and Doom wasn't angry with him, but he knew if their child were to miraculously survive, they wouldn't have a normal life, it was another tragedy for him to grieve.

Mephiles was jumping more, acting like Doom was a stranger to him, sometimes when Doom moved in too close too fast his husband would physically threaten or harm him which he never did before the Shadow Virus. Doom knew a storm was brewing, something was coming, and in the days leading up to it, all he could think about was, had Gerald felt the way he did right then after he'd left? Was this karma finally biting him in the ass for abandoning his human mate? Had he not been a good mate to either of them? Was he going to be okay, when Mephiles was gone...

Mephiles did end up leaving, mere days before the egg hatched, he just disappeared one day. He left to run from the consequences of his actions. The first person Doom called was Rouge, and she stayed with him, helping him with the newborn while his grief mounted all over again. At the end of the third week, news had reached them that Shadow and Crys had both returned, and that the virus would finally have a cure, it was all finally gonna be over. It brought Doom some relief, and he pushed down his sadness over his lost mate to where he could be there to welcome back his son, who was being treated first as he'd been experimented on and turned into the catalyst of the virus. In the time the two had been missing, Crys was expecting again and he offered her the master bedroom while he and Rouge took care of her and Doom's child, with Shadow safely in quarantine back at Resistance HQ.

Months later, Mephy did return. He knocked on Doom's door, and Doom opened it with their daughter asleep and nestled against his side. He was pissed, furious, as he looked down at the man who'd caused him so much pain and sorrow, how could he not be. He didn't say anything, just stared at him, angry, heartbroken, betrayed, with tears brimming in his eyes. Mephiles didn't look at him, he couldn't manage anything but a sob and a shrug of his shoulders. And Doom caved seeing the pitiful look on his face and the inky tears cascading down his face, paired with the way Mephy's matted fur clung to his bones. He broke down crying and gathered him up in his free arm, crying into his chest, screaming at him to never do that to him again, never to make him worry like that again.

Mephiles finally told him what he did. He was angry, angry at Shadow for getting with his daughter, 15 years ago. So he sold information on the abandoned White Acropolis base to G.U.N, in exchange for a request. Find a way to get rid of Shadow. Whatever it took, however long it took, and he handed over a vial of Doom's DNA as a part of the agreement, collected behind his mate's back. He would never have done it several years later, after begrudgingly coming to terms with the arrangement. But at the tine, he hadn't been thinking. He was a lot more fucked up back then. He still did nothing to right said wrong though, he just hoped nothing would come of it.

WHEW, BEEN A MINUTE SINCE I WROTE LORE~ Tehee now you know why Mephy's regarded as a bastard in this timeline and why this ship is TRAGIC/TOXIC YAOI~

This has been an event in the making for a good 4 years now. It's not something I've never shown off, i have more stuff regarding this event, but this is the first time I've explained why Doom and Mephy weren't a part of the action. Why Doom never tried to help despite being there. Well, it's cause the hivemind his son was controlling against his own will was incompatible with Doom's own, and he was distraught over his missing son and couldn't feel his lingering consciousness within the hivemind, making him essentially deceased in the eyes of the Black Arms. Cause Shadow's still part of the hivemind, but he chose never to access it. Doom was fine with this. However, at the complete loss of his son's signal, all he could feel was crippling grief, and his soldiers did their best to find him with no luck. He did all he could.

White Acropolis base Mephy sold to G.U.N

The plague baby Ruby, Crystal and Shadow's second and last child, and also 'Shadow'. He wasn't in control of himself and had taken on an entirely different personality and identity while the real Shadow slumbered beneath the surface. Turns out being fused with your alien warlord dad's DNA is not a good thing. Him and Crys are fine now though, Ruby's fine, everyone came out alive and okay in the end. Well... a lot of people did.

The woman named Twilight was the Mephdoom baby born of this event, btw. Her egg being dropped caused her to lose an arm in development, and her head doesn't connect with her body, it floats via energy connecting them together. Her hair can turn into a hand so she often uses it as a replacement for her missing limb. She's very apathetic, she doesn't understand or feel emotions very well, she thinks of them on a 'logical' standpoint rather than a feeling one. Her little brother, Ghost, often questions whether or not she cares about him due to this, and instead of reassuring him, she calls him stupid and says he should know the answer. He doesn't, and the answer is yes. She loves her brother very much, he just doesn't know that, cause she's cold towards literally everyone, and expects him to know how she feels towards him. Kinda like their mother. Doom was right, she's never lived a normal life, but she survived and she's healthy, much to his relief the day she hatched.

Gonna be doing more lore stuff probably, cause, i just been fuckin around with Mephdoom too long and avoiding the rest of my au, so hopefully this hets me into doing more of it.

Sick Days

Tw for the usual depressing shit

Sometimes Mephiles' nightmares and grief become so severe, that when Doom is at work he doesn't take care of himself, too lost in his own head to function, even when Doom leaves him food and does his best to make sure Mephy's gonna be okay by himself. It's not all the time, but it usually happens when he bottles up his feelings for too long and he's had too many nightmares regarding the death of his twin, Iblis. A death he caused, even if he never meant to. Due to this, he gets sick sometimes. His fur turns darker, his markings receed and turn a sickly pale, his eyes grow dark and he can't see very well anymore. And everything hurts, as if he has the flu.

Doom will use up his sick days at work to stay home and take care of him until he's okay again. Sometimes, he hears Mephiles apologize under his breath, one of the few times he ever has. And Doom hates hearing it. He hates hearing his usually stubborn and outwardly withdrawn mate break and apologize like this. Because, even though Doom doesn't know the whole story, he knows Mephy only did what he did because he was pushed to his limit and lost himself just long enough to cause a calamity. All because he was alone, abused, and afraid. It wasn't his fault, it really wasn't. If the warlord's being honest with himself, he completely understood why Mephy did it, because he himself did something similar, due to his own pain and grief. Although he hadn't been beaten down again and again, treated like an object to be owned rather than a person, he understands that that would break anybody, he's seen it in his own sons after all. So he holds his mate, and he lets him cry, he never shushes him, he never judges him. Because he deserves to finally be heard.

This specific instance is late at night. Doom woke up to Mephy whimpering and sobbing, which is unusual. Nightmares turn him into a screaming, thrashing mess. So when he's shivering while enveloped in Doom's arms, and his whimpering, it puts Doom on high alert immediately, especially when he sees his mate's warped colors, and the way his markings sickly glowed and pulsed that awful pink he knew too well. He gathered him in his arms, as carefully as he could, and sat down in the kitchen with him while making him a pot of soup. And Mephiles is just clinging to him, trying to bury himself as far into Doom's fur as possible, while being too weak to say a word, and all the while it breaks Doom's heart more and more but he's already doing all he can for him. He hates it. He wishes he came back to earth sooner, met Mephy before all this happened, he knows that's an unreasonable thought and he could have never found Mephy in time, but part of him feels guilty for not having been able to save him regardless.

Drew this because I'd drawn and written Doom being mad at him too much lately, and it like, hurt a little bit. It's like watching your parents fight, and i couldn't take it anymore. I had to draw something more domestic with them, a little bit of hurt/comfort for the soul, yanno? Like most of the art and stuff I've written for them have been all sweet and loving, and then i went and shown some of the more painful parts of their relationship and it's not exactly fun. I like drama, i like dark subjects, i like relationship struggles, you know I'm an emo son of a bitch, but they're different, yanno?

Also, this morning, i tried to stand up, and my legs collapsed under me, because i haven't been eating hardly at all the past several days. So, as an involuntary Mephy kinnie, i did the only sane thing and projected my issues onto him. He's not like, anorexic, like i am, just depressed, dw.
