BBC Merlin fans, I have a very important question for you.

made-up fic title: the world is slowly fading but there is only one thought on your mind

Hmm I don't do long titles so this would be a two parter. I'm thinking Merlin fandom.

Fic one: the World is slowly fading

This would be a gen fic about Merlin meeting more magicfolk but they're all worried and secluded. I'm imagining he takes a long journey post season 3 or 4 i guess? Season 5 doesn't exist. They tell him stories of their magic and their culture and of the fabled greatest wizard to come, but who never came. The story is about Merlin coming to terms with the fact that if he wants magic to be accepted he's going to have to step up and fight for it himself.

Fic two: but there is only one thought on your mind

This would be Merlin coming back to Camelot after his journey and basically making this big stand, maybe with Morgana by his side?! He doesn't go into the castle and greet Arthur like he's a friend. They make a demonstration in the city square about how good magic is and that its been misunderstood.

And Arthur hears about it from a knight "there's a pro magic protest" and arthur is like 'hmm some sorcerer?' and then its like MERLIN?? And maybe this one is primarily Arthur POV and he's more bitter that Merlin decided to make this a public display rather than just talk to him. But Merlin is like "but it's not just about YOU. We need to sway the opinion of the people since your father convinced them so thoroughly that all magic is evil" and Arthur is being stubborn because they could've done it *together* but now Merlin has started a fuss about it he feels like he has to dig in his heels because pride.

And eventually Arthur realizes he's in love with Merlin and they kiss and make up and magic is free flowing through Albion the end 💕

Part one would be like 8k MAX and part two would be 20k at LEAST LOL
