Chani really is a killing machine and Crosinth really does love her job: there's nothing more to say about it than that.
Redd really doesn't want to fight but has to, a lot, and has had breakdowns about it.
Pheonix derives great satisfaction from removing the stain of evil, and will do so with no compunction, but you have to give him a reason, he doesn't just ... raise his blades to whomever.

i know you meant 'reading, OR DRINKING soup, or getting lost' but 'reading soup' gave me an image so that's what i went with!

I kinda dropped off the map, sorry ^_^;
The last year has been wild with launching Metacosm Chronicles and all the stuff that comes with trying to run a small business. I've been Very Busy lol.
I'm gonna queue up some new stuff for you tomorrow tho! So posts should resume, at least for a bit.

crazy thing about factxueliums is that they are not systems or paracosms but they feel/function like both of them.. let me explain.
Chatting about factxueliums.
Chapter One: What the hell is a factxuelium?
Factxueliums are a unit of fantasy structure. A fantasy structure is a psychological component that lays out how, where, when, why, and what kinds of fantasties appear and function within day to day life. A unit of this structure would be the responses to [how/what/where/when/why].
As an example, my structure would look like this.. [how: visionauris]-[what: general]-[where:orthocosm]-[when: triggered]-[why: factxuelium]. This is then turned into a sentence when needed (i.e. "my (general) fantasies are triggered by visionauris because of my orthoacosmic factxuelium").
Factxueliums are more than just units though, and have different ways of manifesting or functioning.
From the Guide to FpD, it is said that factxueliums are "where there are multiple, complex, or fractured fact/paracharas (partially or wholly) acting on their own." These said charas are expressed as alternative personalities or different people. "Complex" is used here to refer to how the nature of charas in factxueliums may appear to be different people because of their different views, actions, identity, or choices. It is important to recognize that factcharas and paracharas are always extensions and therefore are the same people as the "starter" (starter being an event, person, or creation of a factxuel).
Regarding manifestation, factxueliums can form from an array of things such as metacosms, visionauris, neuronarration, roleplay, maladaptive daydreaming, plurality, fantasy episodes, etc. Because of this, they have flexibility in use and function, oftentimes aligning or misaligning with the symptoms of something listed above.
Within factxueliums, functions are variable due to where fantasies are experienced. Some fantasies exist only in the exocosm, the extrapersonal shared world, where they might be harder to ignore and cause derealization and disfunctional movement. Some appear elsewhere like the endocosm, a private interpersonal world.
Chapter Two: How do charas work?
Charas are character personalities. They are not real people but are characters applied to people in reference to their personality. Most with factcharas identify as said character and said character can look like whatever they want. Charas are mostly involuntary creations in order to cope with fantasies or distress by disconnecting from reality. These creations constantly change and can layer on top of each other.
A chara works by replacing the true self of the factual person with a fictional self, oftentimes sourced from external media. This fictional self may represent bigger or better versions of them and may be used as a way to fantasize about who they want to be. Charas can also appear in metacosms and be expressed in the exocosm.
There are two types of established charas; factcharas and paracharas. A factcharas is a factual character used in every day life while a parachara is a character often seen in metacosms that have a similar role to imaginary friends.
Charas can carry their own roles too, with some being benecarriers or malcarriers, in factxueliums, charas take on heavier or more complex responsibilities as the structure may be split up between charas or fantasy type. I.e. a factchara may be built for emotional distress and a parachara may be a malcarrier of the distress, being there to take away the stress and emotional turmoil.
Chapter Four: Metacosms and Otherworlds
One big thing about factxueliums that cannot be forgotten is their existence in different metacosms.
Factxueliums can function in the exocosm by use of literal physical phenomenon and tools that emulate the interaction between two charas. One chara may embody a doll and another might present the self for some time. They may flip.
In metacosms, anything is possible. An orthocosm may introduce more fiction than exocosms and may include celebrating fictional holidays and living the life of a character everyday rather than online or as roleplay. Paracosms may have vivid communication between charas as if they were different people, etc.
Metacosms exist to help further the development of charas and for reoccurring fantasies to have a backdrop. Most fantasies exist without one.
Chapter Five: Terminology
When discussing aspects of factxueliums, charas and the structure matters, yes, but I believe other concepts play a part in it as well.
3.a, What are Flips?
A flip is a conscious or subconscious change in what chara is currently being used. This can appear to look like a personality change, a mood change, a different accent or clothing, or a complete lack of connection to reality. Reality in this case means "anything you currently experience physically or metaphysically. Anything outside of your knowledge, your everyday life, or your planes of existence are not realities to you."
3.b, What is a Snap?
Snaps are violent breaks of a chara, usually from a reality check or a reality morph. They are distressing and uncomfortable to have as these snaps are often unpredictable and can occur whenever. When a chara is "broken", it is essentially a shard of glass where the other pieces are either too distant or too lost to be put back together. Snaps usually accompany a mental breakdown or a shutdown.
Chapter Six: What does it mean if I have a factxuelium?
Well, if you have a factxuelium, you have fantasy-prone disorder.
Though this disorder is an unrecognized disorder, it's existence is still present in its non-disordered form, fantasy-prone personality. While similar to maladaptive daydreaming disorder, it's form and structure are different.
From the criteria, "Section A.A1 describes the immersion, absorption into fantasy which may include false senses. Resulting in identification or perception of such fantasy as physically real. Those who fantasize will often see themselves as a part of fiction rather than the factual world and actively seek out fiction as a way to complete their identity," and "Section A.A2 describes the intentional and voluntary decision to bring a fictional or fantasy to life through art, music, writing etc. This must refer to becoming the creation rather than roleplaying. Those who fantasize often roleplay and act out characters but they use that outlet to create personas and characters related to themselves in order to reconnect the fictional bridge they seek."
"FpD comes from prolonged exposure and repeated escapism coping mechanisms that may be needed for trauma but it is not caused by trauma or abuse itself. It may even form from maladaptive versions of Fantasy Prone Personality or Neuronarration. Since FpD arrives in regular teenage years, with Fantasy-prone or Neuronarration sometimes as precursors, it is likely that FpD is caused by a plethora of things. Including trauma or neglect."
From this, we can conclude that if one does have a factxuelium, it is most likely:
not from trauma.
not from any other disorder.
rooted in fantasy and likely includes fictional beings.
the comfort and joy in embracing factxueliums that allow them to be happy.
Chapter Seven: My experiences
I have had fantasy-prone disorder since I was young and firmly believe it is a form that has developed into maladaptive traits. That is why I coined fantasy-prone disorder.
My everyday is existing in an orthocosm, one foot in and one foot out. My memory is fleeting most of the time unless it is reocurring and trained, even the most important things I may forget (keys, wallet, a simple task) and if I am side tracked, my brain will not remember what I was doing unless it's right in front of me. That is usually because my thoughts between tasks are fantasies and daydreams, taking over my every waking moment. I will sometimes forget to do the smallest of tasks just because I was daydreaming and disassociating while doing something else right beside it.
My factchara and parachara are me but little imagined versions of me that I wear as masks, and both of them are extremely hard to tell apart unless specified. Azriel is faster while Stolas is elegant, Azriel is on his toes while Stolas likes to be pampered. There are subtle contrasts that can be missed because they only change my demeanor, not my sense of self or internal identity. Wearing these charas take a lot out of me and whenever I am with different groups, I mask differently and I show different sides of me when needed, sometimes taking off both charas and being my "true self" (which I consider to be lost at the moment).
For our factxuelium, we are always in our orthocosm and prefer to stay there, always deep in fantasy and consuming fiction while being able to convert factual media to fiction as a means of coping. The idea that fiction should then be less important or not given the time of day bothers me because how I see the world is through daydreams and thoughts of "what if?" and through stories about monsters and beasts. These things are how I process my trauma and my emotions and how I understand the complexity of life, so to have fantasy deemed immature or less valuable.. it's demeaning to folks like me who can paint the world in metaphors to our messiahs and prophets.
I have experienced flips, which tend to be more sensorial, with goosebumps or shivers for us. Snaps rarely happen but when they do, it's rebuilt pretty quickly and my parachara (Stolas) is able to put me back in a good enough mood to remake Azriel. I personally consider my fantasy-prone disorder to be a disability, referring to the part where my memory and senses are so disorganized due to dissociation that I am simply not there or just not fully aware of myself and this reality at some points.

If I use the term “metaphysics” it is absolutely not in the sloppy equivocating sense of the term as thrown around by the so-called “New Age” movement or other arbitrary haphazard philosophical mishmash contemporary spiritual movements. I use the term in a strictly traditional sense that would be understood by adherents of Plato, Plotinus, Aristotle, John of Damascus, Thomas Aquinas, Shankara, Ibn Arabi, and as used by a handful of recent and contemporary thinkers such as Rene Guenon, Julius Evola, Ananda Coomaraswamy, Huston Smith, and Seyyed Hossein Nasr. The substance of what follows is taken from an email to someone explaining my position about 5 years ago.
In contrast to the relativism of the modern world, the foundations of Traditional metaphysics rests on the twin premises of absolute reality and our ability to comprehend it. The Traditional metaphysics of the "Perennialist School" is essentially identical to the doctrines of Advaita Vedanta, finding nearly identical parallels in Platonism, especially late Platonism embodied in the writings of Plotinus, Proclus, and others, and later manifestations often by way of absorption of late Platonic currents into the traditions of Islamic Sufism and to some extent Christianity (especially as preserved in doctrines in Eastern Orthodoxy), also essentially identical to the metaphysics of early Taoism.
The term "Metaphysics" is used here in the sense of "beyond the physical" in reference to the absolute in accordance with authentic traditional doctrines, rather than in the purely ratio-centric sense of post-medieval philosophy, and certainly not in the degenerate sense of post-19th century "Theosophy" and its various 20th century progeny, worst examples being the embarrassment of evolutionary "New Age" movements that proliferated from the counterculture movements of the 1960s. Although in some respects latter philosophers such as Martin Heidegger would brush close to Traditional Metaphysics, they would remain handicapped by purely secular academic parameters.
Being supra-human and supra-rational, the subject matter of metaphysics is largely only comprehensible and expressible by way of symbolic allusion and allegory. This, accompanied by its radically and strictly vertical orientation assures that pure metaphysics is not a realm open to everyone, rather those with higher intellective-noetic faculties or who have devoted the effort to cultivating them. This also places metaphysical doctrines above and beyond the realm of petty dialectic "debate."
Traditional metaphysics posits contrasting realms of unmanifest/manifest; uncreated/created; metacosmic/cosmic; divine/human. These realms are all potentially within human apprehension, and can be conceived in five levels of reality. The Divine encompasses the realm (1) Beyond Being, conceived as the Divine Essence and Supra-Personal God; and the realm of (2) Being, conceived as the Personal God, Creator, Judge, and abstract but attributable Divine Qualities. The realm of Manifest Existence is reflected in the human sphere as (3) Spirit or "Intellect" in the high traditional sense of the term, encompassing and comprehending the spiritual or angelic realms, hierarchically situated superior to the Soul (4) which correlates to the anemic or psychic realms, which is in turn similarly situated superior to the Physical Body (5), the corporeal or somatic realm. The realm of abstract Being (2) correlates to the Uncreated Logos. The realm of Spirit or Intellect (3) correlates to the Created Logos.
The categories of Absolute and Relative reality are bridged by the Metacosmic Beyond-Being (1) residing on the plane of the Absolute above, and within the realm of the Relative, we find encompassed the Metacosmic Being (2) respectively, with Spirit/Intellect (3), the subtle anemic/psychic realms of the Soul (4), and finally the gross physical realm of the Corporeal Body (5).
In traditional Vedic terms, Atma is the Divine Unmanifest Beyond-Being (1); while Maya encompasses the entire spectrum from Uncreated Metacosmic Being (2), Spirit/Intellect (3), the Soul (4), and the somatic Body and physical/sensual realm (5). In Abrahamic religious terms, the Earthly realm is that of the Body (5) and Soul (4); the Heavenly realm is that from the Spirit/Intellect (3) ascending to the Divine Unmanifest Beyond-Being (1). Only the physical Body (5) is subject to the vicissitudes of mortality, while the immortal realm encompasses the spectrum from the individual anemic Soul (4) to the Divine Beyond-Being (1).
Knowledge through higher intellection alone provides the superior vantage point and means of escape from the realm of change and becoming and from its inherent limitations. Without a principle from which it derives and which cannot be subject to it and is necessarily unchanging, change itself is meaningless and contradictory (and even impossible). The Unchanging is therefore the true object of principal or metaphysical knowledge. When knowledge attains to its object (the Unchanging) it becomes itself possessed of immutability. True knowledge (noesis or intellection) consists essentially of identification with its object. Knowledge arrived at through rational or discursive reason is imperfect because it is necessarily indirect "reflected" knowledge, therefore of a lower type.
Divorced from higher immutable principles, action becomes little more than ceaseless, unproductive, trivial agitation for incessant change at ever increasing speed, and dissipation into multiplicity and quantity. This is the most conspicuous trait of modern times - the degeneration into multiplicity, no longer unified by consciousness of higher principles, unmoored into ceaseless analysis driven to extremes, qualified by the in-aptitude for synthesis and the incapacity for any kind of concentration. In this respect matter is essentially multiplicity and division. For this reason, everything that derives from matter only begets strife and conflict between individuals and peoples.
Modern man has grown accustomed to this confusion, without self-awareness, seeing in it an exteriorized image of their own hyperactive fragmented mentality. In this state of mind there is no place for the changeless and permanent, they envision the whole of reality in 'becoming', thus repudiating true knowledge by implication, as well as the object of knowledge, namely transcendent and universal principles.
Relativism is both meaningless and an impossibility without grounding in the absolute, as change is meaningless and impossible without the unchanging, and multiplicity is without unity. The relativist position is an absurd self-contradiction, just as reducing everything to change culminates in the negation of change itself. These ideas have been playing out in the "Great Conversation" of the West at least since the times of Heraclitus - an "ancient" debate in our "modern" terms but encompassed very much within the spectrum of our own age by Traditional doctrines of cycles. The aberration of our times is that these absurd and patently self-contradictory ideas have attained dominance in the West.
The naturalistic denial of anything but "becoming" in our own times is an inherent denial of the existence of anything beyond the sensible and empirical, it is the negation of the metaphysical realm of immutable principles.
This is the consequence of the defacto amputation of "intellection" in modern times. Contemporary philosophers only acknowledge "intuition" of a completely infra-rational type. Medieval Philosophers, still operating for the most part within a Traditional worldview acknowledged the primacy of the Intellect in our sense of the term, even though this type of intellectual intuition of the Traditional order began to fall out of play as the doctrines degenerated and became purely "philosophical" in character.
The post-medieval rationalism, typified by Western philosophy following Descartes, is little more than the denial of this supra-human, supra-rational, and supra-individual faculty of intellection of the Traditional type. This renders "modern" or "Westernized" man incapable of understanding Traditional cultures, whether historical or contemporary, as long as he persists in ignorance or repudiation of intellectual intuition. People of traditional cultures suffer from the same handicaps to the degree that they have become "Westernized" in the sense of embracing the modern western rationalistic, scientistic, materialist worldview that denies any transcendent order.
This higher intuition, or intellection is immutable, infallible, and the only foundation and starting point for any development in conformity with Traditional norms. In Traditional culture, everything extends from this higher faculty of supra-human intuition and refers back to it.

I feel kinda crazy after today.
I think I might not leave the timeline this time. I don't plan on falling prey to the random deaths of my personal time-loop hell, I've got more than enough experience abroad, metacosmically.
But I also don't think I oughta leave again.
This is my home. My native timeline. The Endless City, Argossia...
I've gone all over the multiverse, but I'm still from my home town, you know?
And I think I can save her, this time, keep her out of Death's hands for a while longer.
I'm gonna make a lot of enemies, though.

Last song; "rise from the ashes” no musician listed so i’m a bit miffed about that but it’s in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndDCnjOWIaI&list=RDsJJ4OoFooak&index=27&t=4035s - i require different forms of audio stimulus to keep my brain occupied so that i can actually do things, like draw. this usually means a combo of ‘random background noise of people talking and laughing’ (ie, various ‘let’s plays’) AND music at the same time, but right now this ‘epic’ music has been enough.
Currently watching; nothing really, but the last thing i did was re-watch the original digimon adventure anime. also tried to watch ghost game but got so bored of it, might go back and just watch the final 3 episodes tho cuz they supposedly had actual plot.
Currently reading; i don’t feel like this counts but it’s as close as i’ve got to an actual answer to this question since i don’t have the attention span to read books anymore- a bunch of webcomics and the digimon dreamers manga. tho that last one i pretty much skipped ahead to the part where wizardmon shows up in a fan scanlation, so now i have to wait for the official translation to catch up before i can really get into it again T.T

Current obsession; digimon - wizardmon in particular. rewatched the anime, realized wizardmon was my actual first love, had a midlife crisis and bought a ton of figures and cards, and now i’m learning how to draw humans JUST for him. might even actually write/share the self insert ocXcanon character fanfic i’ve made in my head- it’s SO long and kinda raunchy in a super specific way tho so i’ve yet to be convinced it would be worth the effort to transcribe for others.

Did you know we have about 75k words (for my non-writers, the average novel is between 60k and 90k words, with some scifi/fantasy books getting to over 100k) on the Metacosm Chronicles codex? It's a constant work in progress (which we hope someday to actually publish as a companion to the books) but we have most of The Beginning and The History done!
Here's a snippet from The Beginning :

Void is not Nothing, because Oblivion does not exist within the Creation due to its very nature.
Quite the contrast: Void is Everything, densely encapsulated, and without order. It is the basest building block of Creation: what Creation spirals out of -- like spinning thread from wefts -- and what Creation breaks back down into, after the Order unravels.

Ever-spinning wheel of electrons
Moves in five dimensions,
Casting the shadow of a cloud into our humble third.
Twirls round its axis with confidence only lent
To those unbound by the red tape of particle physics.
Axis remains steadfast, patient
As its whirligig neighbors pull the fibers of spacetime through it
& around it, wrapping it up like a toilet-paper mummy
Then all at once,
Letting go and clapping with mirth
As it pirouettes uncontrollably,
Spitting up beams of EM radiation.
None have seen the spinstress’s face,
Only the infinity of her hands,
But some have whispered that they’ve heard her voice,
And all swear that it crackles like a Geiger counter.
