Safeguarding Health and Property: Choosing the Right Meth Lab Clean Up Company
The discovery of a methamphetamine (meth) lab can be a harrowing experience for property owners, posing serious health and safety risks due to hazardous chemicals and contamination. In such situations, it's crucial to enlist the services of a professional meth lab clean-up company to ensure proper decontamination and restoration of the affected property. In this blog post, we'll discuss the importance of hiring a reputable meth lab clean-up company and provide guidance on selecting the right one for your needs.
Understanding the Risks of Meth Lab Contamination
Methamphetamine production involves the use of highly toxic chemicals and solvents, which can permeate surfaces and materials within a property, leading to severe contamination. Exposure to these chemicals can pose significant health risks, including respiratory problems, skin irritation, and long-term health effects. Additionally, meth residue can linger for years, posing a threat to future occupants of the property if not properly remediated.
The Role of Meth Lab Clean-Up Companies
Meth lab clean-up companies specialize in the safe and thorough decontamination of properties affected by methamphetamine production. These professionals have the expertise, training, and equipment necessary to assess the extent of contamination, remove hazardous materials, and restore the property to a safe and habitable condition. By following industry best practices and regulatory guidelines, meth lab clean-up companies ensure that all traces of methamphetamine and associated chemicals are properly eradicated, minimizing health risks and preventing future exposure.
Key Considerations When Choosing a Meth Lab Clean-Up Company
Certification and Credentials: Look for a meth lab clean-up company that is certified and accredited by relevant industry organizations, such as the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) or the American Bio-Recovery Association (ABRA). These certifications demonstrate that the company adheres to industry standards and best practices for methamphetamine remediation.
Experience and Expertise: Choose a company with extensive experience in meth lab clean-up and remediation. Inquire about their track record and ask for references from previous clients to ensure they have successfully handled similar projects in the past.
Comprehensive Services: Ensure that the meth lab clean-up company offers a comprehensive range of services, including assessment, decontamination, disposal of hazardous materials, and property restoration. A company that can manage the entire remediation process from start to finish will streamline the process and minimize disruption to your property.
Compliance with Regulations: Verify that the meth lab clean-up company complies with all relevant regulations and guidelines for methamphetamine remediation in your area. This includes adherence to federal, state, and local regulations governing the handling, transport, and disposal of hazardous materials.
Insurance Coverage: Confirm that the meth lab clean-up company carries adequate liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. This protects you from potential liability in the event of accidents or injuries during the remediation process.
Transparent Pricing and Contracts: Request detailed estimates and contracts from prospective meth lab clean-up companies, outlining the scope of work, timeline, and associated costs. Avoid companies that provide vague or incomplete pricing information, as this could lead to unexpected expenses later on.
Conclusion
In conclusion, hiring a reputable meth lab clean-up company is essential for ensuring the safe and thorough remediation of properties affected by methamphetamine production. By considering factors such as certification, experience, services offered, regulatory compliance, insurance coverage, and transparency in pricing, you can select a company that meets your needs and provides peace of mind. Remember that timely and thorough remediation is crucial for safeguarding the health and well-being of occupants and restoring the property to a safe and habitable condition.

What You Need to Know About Meth Lab Cleaning
The popular AMC TV series Breaking Bad gave viewers a glimpse of life inside a meth lab, but real-life meth labs can take place anywhere. Whether in the back of an abandoned Winnebago or a home that's been used as a meth lab for years, these illegal drug-making operations can leave behind a wide range of toxic chemicals and waste byproducts that can be hazardous to the health of anyone who lives or even visits the property.
Meth Lab Cleaning is a complex process that involves removing all meth residue and other materials from a property, then sanitizing the entire structure to remove the toxic fumes created by the meth cooking process. The cleanup process can take several days and is very dangerous if it is done improperly. It's best to hire a professional company that specializes in meth lab cleanup. These companies are specially trained to handle the dangerous chemicals involved and to protect their workers from exposure.
One of the first steps in meth lab cleaning is to find out if the property was used for meth production. This is usually done by swabbing multiple areas in the house and sending the samples to a laboratory for testing. If the results come back positive, then the property must be remediated and the occupants must vacate until the house is safe to live in again.
Typically, a meth lab must be cleaned to the satisfaction of an industrial hygienist before the property can be reoccupied. Depending on the results of the testing, this may involve a complete decontamination of the home and even demolition of some or all parts of the property. Statutes and regulations provide immunity from civil lawsuits by future occupants, neighbors or family members for the meth lab contamination if the decontamination is done in accordance with the established standards.
Most of the time, the decontamination process will involve cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room and other areas of the home that may be contaminated by meth residue or fumes. Often, surfaces such as wallboard, counters, and floors must be removed and replaced in order to cut heavy contamination. Similarly, appliances such as stoves and refrigerators must be either cleaned or replaced.
A thorough detergent wash of all hard surfaces is also recommended, and this includes the septic and plumbing systems. This is to remove any meth residue that might have been poured down the drains and into the septic system.
Lastly, the HVAC system must be cleaned and sealed. This will prevent any meth residue from contaminating the inside of the system when it's being run or turned on again in the future.
At Fidelis Facillity Management, we know the cost of an unkept space. Breeding bacteria costs you employee sick leave, dust and hard to reach places costs you memorable first impressions and future transactions.

Klaroline WIP Wed!! - waffle house fic - Unexpected Guest
Okay so @averseunhinged made a post about how the lack of Waffle Houses in The Vampire Diaries is weird and this got the gremlin in my head rolling on this Caroline in college studying at a Waffle House in the middle of the night, while Mikaelsons drop by and annoy her scenario, and I've just been idly writing while at work on it.
----------------------------
Many people will tell you that a Waffle House at 1 a.m. is a liminal space. An in-between realm where anything can happen. The concept of liminal spaces mostly got lost on Caroline once she became a member of the walking, talking undead, although Bonnie still swore they were a thing, like the creepy old house where she had communed with the witch spirits.
Waffle Houses were nothing like that, with their crappy fluorescent lighting, cheap Formica booths and bar countertops, waitresses that had seen far too much shit to be phased by most random Acts of God and the patronage of the local meth den, and an eternal pot of slightly singed coffee. Anything could happen there, yeah, but usually it was about as grounded in reality as you could get. Reality made certain you knew it had come to knock.
Tonight was not going to be one of those nights.
Caroline liked to come to the Waffle House closest to campus to study some nights. It was a nice walk, good for clearing her head and getting out of the tiny dorm she shared with Bonnie and Elena. She thought she had prepared for sharing with other people, these were her best friends, of course! But apparently, you can put the only child in the dorm, but you cannot take the only child out of the girl, because sharing sink space with two other people who had different ideas about small things like leaving toothpaste in the sink was actually a lot more stressful than she had anticipated.
And not to sound like a sociopath but the breathing, other people breathing. You’d think after a lifetime of sleepovers that she would be fine, used to the rhythms of her friends. That was a) before she gained vampire hearing, and b) dependent on the fact that you’re always exhausted at a sleepover, and her friends went home the next night.
Caroline didn’t really do a lot of sleeping anymore.
Staying in the dorm while the other girls slept wasn’t an option either–apparently, she was too active, even while studying, and kept waking them up–so she’d tried a few options: the college library, the dining hall, and the computer lab. None of them worked for her, so she’d started looking through the few blocks around campus.
The Waffle House two blocks down was exactly what she was looking for. It was just noisy enough with the jukebox, the short-order cook calling out orders, and the quiet gossip of the waitresses that she didn’t feel like she was disturbing anyone with her soft humming and the rapid clicks of her highlighter caps. They’d refill her coffee cup as it got low, and about every hour she’d order a different slice of pie to help with the cravings.
“Where are you putting away all that pie, sweet thing?” Marcy–the middle-aged mom of a son in college who was often her waitress during the midnight hours–would ask her, and Caroline would grin back at her.
“Fast metabolism,” she’d say, tucking into a slice of whatever she’d ordered. “I’m just constantly hungry.”
Marcy would cluck her tongue the same way every time. “It’s b’cuz you’re eating junk food. You want something a bit more filling, you let me know.” And Caroline would agree, and in an hour order more pie.
Tonight was a mostly quiet night, Marcy in the corner rolling a giant container of silverware with June, the other server. Frank the cook was humming tunelessly along to the jukebox while he cleaned. Two tables had guests, but they were quiet. Caroline had her biology book spread out on her booth table with her class notebook and a small pile of highlighters and gel pens next to it, going through her class notes and the chapter text, trying to decide what she would need based on the syllabus for the midterm. Her professor was very anti-study guide and Caroline was determined that she was going to ace this class despite his low scores on Rate My Professor. It was a Tuesday where nothing had happened, was happening, was going to happen.
Rebekah Mikaelson sat down in her booth.

syd you are destroying me over here. what the fuck. what would “down” look like in au squared? would jesse’s parents take baby when they kicked him out, or would he just be left to navigate his. Unstable housing situation with an infant daughter and no support? im like i dont even know which one i would prefer you to say… down in au squared universe just Does Not feel good thank you for bringing it to our attention :-(
(frolics around cutely while i make everything worse for everyone) "down" never feels good ever tbh, between walt hitting his ableism victory royale and jesse getting his shit absolutely rocked by fate, its a miracle any of us survive that episode. au squared jesse of course fights his parents tooth and nail about kicking him out since ginny left him the house, but as soon as his mom says that they'll be taking baby too since he's not responsible enough, he backs down and is like "fine take the house, take whatever u want, but baby's coming with me". he obviously doesnt want to be homeless, but being homeless and not having baby is more than he can bear. she tries to reason with him, then threatens to get the law involved (i imagine saul helps jesse secure full custody of baby in addition to helping him buy his parents' house in season 3 :) besties), but jesse doesnt budge and takes off with her and their essentials, only for his ride to get stolen while he's in the drug store buying formula. they'd probably end up spending the night in the impounded rv (no blue tho. if i can spare my guy one suffering, it'll be the blue) with him genuinely not knowing if its Worth It anymore because hes literally laying in a mobile meth lab next to his crying baby who's too upset for her nighttime feeding, unable to provide for her but also unable to let her go. it feels so awful and selfish: she deserves better but he doesnt trust anyone to give her that. he breaks the rv out of the impound the next day the second clovis threatens them and drives straight to walt's place to get his money, riled up from walt ignoring his calls and clovis fucking threatening him in front of his infant daughter. "down" of course is a parade of walt being a dickhead because skyler has totally stopped buying his shit, so when jesse pulls up in person to beg for the money, walt snaps at him and tells him that jesse wouldn't even be in this situation if he were more responsible and that a real father would have found a way to provide for his child, which is not only vile but the fucking Wrong Thing to say to jesse after the last 24 hours. this is what provokes their fist fight and walt finally hands over the money, then tries to make some "look. we're both in this for family. we have to work together" comment to amend things as if he wasnt just yelling at his own son for using the car pedals wrong. having the money and getting out some of his rage and misery by pounding walt makes jesse feel better, but more than that, it gives him this adrenaline rush in terms of being a dad. sure it was a fucking nightmare, but he did all of that for his baby and he won. he fought to provide for her and he did. he didn't give in and just hand her over to his parents like she was some stranger that just happened to live in his house: he kept baby, he protected her through a disaster, and now he's never going to let her go. as he gets them a motel room for temporary housing with his cash and goes buck wild in the infant section at walmart and ends the day watching a happy, fed, clean baby play with her new stacking rings, jesse thinks about what walt said and feels a bitter kind of pride. "a real father would've found a way to provide for his child." well he did. he's baby's father and he's going to provide for her.

Just came up with the dumbest "first time" for Tweek and Craig. One of them is on a phone, reading step-by-step instructions off of wikihow out loud. The other is very carefully following each step; he's wearing nitrile gloves and safety goggles. They are on the floor and have laid out newspaper for easier clean up.
i genuinely don't know if you're talking about sex or making meth anon i need more information 😭
for the former: ok ur absolutely correct these dorks would lose their virginities in the dorkiest way possible i'm going to be thinking about that
for the latter: imagining them getting into making meth simply because craig is tired of tweek having to make the trek over the kenny's house all the time. at least if they make the meth themselves, he can hug tweek from behind and listen to him babble. they die in a meth lab explosion but they die toGETHER. aw gosh i love love ;-;

Shameless, Chapter 8
Word Count: 2.6k
Warnings: mentions of smut/sexual innuendos, minors going to jail/grand theft auto, angst.
Tumblr media
“Hey…right on time…”
A blush rose to your cheeks as you held up a pie in front of your boyfriend’s face, “I brought dessert.”
“You always bring dessert!” he teased, pulling you close enough to kiss you.  Your eyes fluttered closed as he took the serving dish, “and I’m not talking about the pie…”
“Why do I get the feeling that you’re talking about a pie of a different kind?”
“Because I am!” he smirked, breaking the kiss.  You rolled your eyes at him as he let you into the house, his arm haphazardly looped around your waist, “mom…Sofia brought us a pie she made!”
“Oh SOFIA” his mother cooed, coming out of the kitchen.  You smiled back at Tony and took the pie from him.  She gasped, her eyes widening ever so slightly, “is that a Boston Crème?”
“It is…I know how my Tony loves a good crème pie,” you teased, shooting him another look, “I figured I’d bring one by for after dinner.  I know you have a sweet tooth, Mrs. Markovich.”
“You’re too good to me and my Tony!” she smiled, pulling you into a hug, “come in though.  Come in.  You can help me slice this and we’ll throw it in the fridge while Tony sets the table.”
“Come on, mom.  You can’t go hogging my girlfriend!”
“Be a good boy and set the table, officer!” you playfully teased, pushing him towards the dining room.  You gave him a playful smack on the ass as he stalked off towards the dining room.
“You’re lucky I like you.”
“Don’t I know it.  Play nice and then after dinner we can go to your room and I’ll let you give me a whole different kind of crème pie…one that I want every bit of!” you whispered, before turning to his mother, who had already brought the pie back into the kitchen to cut it.  You spared him a look, shooting him a wink as you went into the kitchen.
“I’ll set the table, mom!” he said loudly, before shooting you a look, his eyes traveling down to his hardening length.  Your thighs clenched on instinct, and you knew that there was going to be no way you left after dinner.
“So how was your day, sweetie?” Mrs. Markovich asked, interrupting your dirty thoughts as you continued to watch her son disappearing into the dining room, reappearing every few seconds when he started to set the table.
“Oh…uh, great…I saw my grandmother…”
“Oh, that’s nice, sweetie…”
“Hey Grammy!”
“Who the hell are you?” she asked, glaring at Lip and Ian.
“Grammy it’s Ian and Lip…Frank’s sons!”
“Hi Grammy!”
She lit up when she saw you, “Sofia!  I haven’t seen you in weeks!  Thanks for putting some money on my books for more smokes…was just about to run out.”
“Sorry about being a no-show lately, grammy…school and work…but I brought Ian and Lip with me.  Your grandsons…two of em anyways.”
“Well would you look at that,” she mused, raising a hand so that she could lean her chin on it, “I have never seen apple and spice, and everything nice, looking so…nice.”
“Thanks grammy!” Ian grinned.
“So how you doing in there?” Lip asked.
“Well, the foods not so great, but the pussy is pretty good,” she admitted with a shrug, “never thought I’d be the type.  Oh, this dump ain’t so bad!  I can get blow anytime I like.”
“Grammy!”
“Sounds alright!”
“Only thing that sucks is that they got me cleaning toilets,” she sighed, “I wanted to be on the kitchen crew.  They won’t let me anywhere near the place.  I mean, one meth lab explosion and this is what I get!”
“Oh, yeah…well it’s probably the two college kids that died in that fire, grams!”
“So, what do you want?” she asked.
“So, what do you want?”
You looked up, your attention caught up in the man standing at the door.
“Just wanna have a night out with our boy,” one of his fellow officers smiled, gently pushing past him and into the house, “Mrs. Markovich we are stealing Tony boy away so-why hello…we didn’t know that you’d be here, Sofia…”
“Tony’s girlfriend?” she asked, “why wouldn’t she be here?”
Another of the officers raised his brow at Tony, before looking to you, “you still wanted to date him?”
“Tony’s a good guy!” you smiled, sticking up for him, “not like any of you buttheads.  Does Annie and Rachelle know you’re not on the clock and you’re trying to take my man away to some poker night or strip club?”
“Sorry guys…I’m staying in tonight!” Tony smiled, looking at you.
“Not even married, and it’s like you’ve already got a ball and chain.”
“No one else I’d rather be attached to!” he smiled, leaning down to kiss you on the lips.
“Did you boys want to stay for dinner?” Mrs. Markovich asked, “I always make plenty extra for Sofia to take home to the kids…”
“Oh no, that’s fine!”
“We wouldn’t want to intrude!” another one of the officers smiled as he started leading the others back to the door.  He shot Tony a wink, “you two kids have fun…don’t do anything that we wouldn’t do!”
Tumblr media
“So, I was thinking…”
“Yeah?” he asked.
“I’m all alone at the house right now,” you giggled, playing with the hem of your panties, “Fiona is at Deb’s school party with Carl…Kev and V are watching Liam…and Lip and Ian are out…”
“Are you suggesting I come over?”
“It’s up to you…but we would have the whole house to ourselves…” you smiled, “and right now I’m only wearing one of my camis and these panties that are  nearly see through because you’ve got me so hot and bothered thinking about last night.”
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah…should have a few hours before everyone gets back too…” you hinted, “wonder how many orgasms you could pull from me in that amount of time…”
“I like the sound of that,” he agreed, “god…today is turning out to be the perfect day, Sof…”
“Come make it a perfect night,” you giggled, “come over and cum in me, Tony.”
“Shit…”
“What’s wrong?” you asked, hearing the change in his voice.
“Think I just got something…”
“You’re off duty, aren’t you?”
“There was a stolen car we were watching, and I see it on the move…I-fuck, I’m sorry Sof.  I can’t let it get away though,” he sighed, “I’ll call you back after I catch the perp…hopefully we can salvage the night after I call it in.”
“Okay…yeah…I understand,” you sighed, “call me after?”
“Of course…”
“Stay safe.”
“Always!”
“Hey…where the hell were you?” you asked as he tried to kiss you.  Instantly you took a step back from him and he frowned, “Tony?”
“I told you.  I saw something about a stolen car-“
“Was it the car that Ian and Lip were driving?”
He froze.  And instantly you knew he had something to do with it.
“Sof-“
“Did you call in the stolen car on Lip and Ian?”
“How much do you know about Fiona’s boyfriend Steve?”
“What does he have to do with it?” you asked, arms crossing over your chest.
“He’s been stealing cars, Sof…the car the boys were driving was one that I’ve seen him driving lately.  It was reported stolen by someone who isn’t Steve…the plates were changed from earlier, but I remembered the numbers on the plate.  He stole it, Sof.”
“No way…Fi said tha-“
“Sofia, Fiona is lying to you…chances are that she’s covering for that asshole boyfriend of hers.  I already saw her at the station.  Sh-“
“Well you have to know that Ian and Lip wouldn’t do anything like that,” you said desperately, suddenly feeling nervous for your two younger brothers, “Tony, you know Ian and Lip…that isn’t the kind of boys that they-“
“They have to testify to that then.”
“What?”
“Baby…Lip is 17, and Ian is 16.  If they didn’t take the car, and you said it’s Steve’s, they have to tell the detective that.”
“Tony…this is Wallace Street.,” you reasoned, “South side.  The yard!  They aren’t going to snitch on someone like that.  Th-“
Sof…Lip’s looking at five years if they try him as an adult,” he said firmly, collecting his face in your hands, “and Ian…do you really think they’ll let him into the military with grand theft auto on his record?”
You felt the tears welling up in your eyes, “Tony…please…”
“They have to, Sofia.”
“Please,” you begged, shaking your head as your eyes watered, “please Tony, you have to help them.”
He sighed, “I don’t know how much I can help, Sof…this is a pretty big hole they found themselves in.”
“Tony, please…” you begged as you bit your lip, “they’re my family…they-you can’t let this happen to them.  They’re practically your family too with everything that’s been going on…”
“I care about Ian and Phillip, Sofia, but-“
“Tony, you can’t let them go to jail!” you begged.   You pulled his hands away from your face and put them on your stomach, “I-I wanted to tell you before everyone got home so that we could surprise them…I-I didn’t want it to come out like this bu-“
“Sofia?”
“We’re pregnant Tony…”you cried, “please…I-you can’t let this happen to our baby’s uncles…you know that Ian and Lip aren’t bad kids…they wouldn’t ever steal a car.  Sure, Carl maybe, but not Ian and Lip.”
“Y-you’re pregnant?”
You nodded, sniffling, “I-I didn’t think anything of it when my period didn’t come last month because I’m on the pill…but I-I started getting nauseous last week at dinner…and my meds are slipping so I-“
“That night…when we-when you were upset about Monica coming back to town…”
You nodded, sniffling, “I’m seven weeks along, Tony.  But that’s not it…I-I can’t take my meds if I’m pregnant…I-I’m scared…and I can’t deal with something like this and that all happening…”
“I’ll help as much as I can, baby,” he promised sadly.  His eyes went from your stomach to your own, and his hands shifted until he was cupping your face, “I’ll figure it out…but after this we need to figure out what we’re doing…I can’t let you live at the house with all that craziness if you’re pregnant and off your meds…I can’t have something triggering you and us losing the baby…or me losing you…”
Tumblr media
You watched as your little brothers walked through the doors of the station.  Your heart raced as Debbie clung to you while Fiona held Carl close to her.  Kev was smoking a step away while V held onto Liam.
“He really got them off!” Fiona said in disbelief.
The younger kids ran to Lip, and Fiona ran to Ian.  They embraced one another as Tony came out behind them.  You walked up to your boyfriend tears in your eyes, as you embraced him, immediately sobbing into his chest, “thank you Tony…”
“I can’t ever ask anyone for another favor again…you know that, right?” he asked softly, his arms weaving around your waist, “the kids have to keep every inch of themselves in line…”
“They will…I promise…they will.”
You noticed everyone was a bit too quiet, and you turned.  Your brothers were looking gratefully at you.  He pulled your face to his and kissed you, “I did it for us…you know that, right?  Did that for you.”
“Thank you, Tony…”
“We should probably tell them…about the baby…”
You nodded.
Fiona was tearing up as she turned to you and your boyfriend, “Thank you…”
“We uh-we wanted to tell you guys something,” you said slowly, leaning into your boyfriend’s arms.  He leaned against the station, “I-I’m going to be moving out…”
“WHAT?”
“WHY?” Fiona all but shouted, “What ar-“
“Tony and I are pregnant.”
Debbie’s eyes went wide, and she raced up to you, while Fiona gasped.
“Holy shit!” Lip commented.
Ian’s eyes nearly bulged out of his head, “you’re leaving?”
“You’re pregnant?” Fiona asked.
“Seven weeks,” you nodded, looking up and over your shoulder so you could look into your boyfriend’s eyes, “me and Tony are going to start looking at places…but I’m going to be moving out before the baby’s born…”
“You’re leaving?” Debbie asked, copying Ian’s question.
“We-we don’t want to add another two people to the house,” you admitted, leaving out the part of you primarily agreeing to leave because you didn’t need the stress when you couldn’t take your medicie, “it’s already bursting at the seams…but we’ve already talked about it.  We want to stay close by…and any time you guys need anything, or wanna come over…or get away from Frank-“
“The house will be open to all of you guys!” Tony finished, cutting you off, “anyone that needs a place to stay to just get some air…you guys are welcome over any time.”
“Come on,” Fiona urged softly, nodding her head towards the house, “looks like we’ve got two reasons to celebrate today then.”
You smiled and started walking with your siblings.  Tony let go of you as you walked, and you turned, “come on…”
“Got a few things to tie up here,” he nodded firmly, “you guys go get the party started…I’ll be over after I finish up with the detective and the case.”
You nodded and ran back up to him so that you could press your lips to his in a sweet kiss, “I love you, Tony Markovich.”
“And I love you, Sofia Gallagher.”
Tumblr media
“Fi…what the hell are you doing?”
“Steve wants me to leave with him…”
“What?”
“Steve…he asked me to come with him.”
“Come with him where?” you asked, stopping your sister as she opened the suitcase and threw it on the bed, “What the hell are you talking about, Fiona?”
“I’m going to leave the country, Fi Fi.  I’m going to be selfish for once,” she smiled, tears lining her eyes, “Steve wants me to go with him to Brazil!”
“What?  For How long?”
“I don’t know,” she shrugged, “and I don’t care…after what’s happened the past few months…why shouldn’t I be selfish?  Why wouldn’t I take him up on that?  I mean, you had the past few years.  You got to finish high school and get some college done and now that you and Tony are finally together, he’s got you knocked up…you’re starting your life, so why should I continue to put mine on hold?”
“Fiona…are-are you jealous of what Tony and I have?” you asked, “are you seriously going to pick up and leave because I’m going have a kid and don’t wanna make the house even more crowded, so I said I’d move out?”
“I want to be happy, Sofia!”
“And you’re not, now?”
“FUCK  NO!” she spat, throwing some clothes into the suitcase, “why the hell would you think I was happy?  I never get to do anything that I want.  Always have to put my paychecks into the squirrel fund or-“
“So, you’re just going to walk away?” you yelled at her.  “You’re just going to pull a Monica and abandon them?  Fuck, Fiona.  Lip is gonna be seventeen in a few months, and Ian is going to turn 16.  Debbie and Carl are nine and ten.  Liam is still a toddler.”
“Not my problem,” she shrugged, “you were worried about too many people being in the house when you had your news about being knocked up, well guess what…me and Steve aren’t gonna be here.  So, you can keep Tony and your new baby in your room.  Take the house.  Take the kids-“
“Fiona, what the fuck!” you hissed, “stop acting like this.  You’re acting like I’m going to be dead…or that I’m trying to take over by putting out some ultimatum that doesn’t exist.  You’re acting like I won’t still help care for the kids.”
“I don’t have to worry about it anymore, Fi Fi…because it won’t be on me anymore…it’ll be on you…or Frank…I don’t care.  You’re getting your happiness…and well, I deserve mine too!  Have a nice life, sis!”

There's this place in town where you can buy anything off the menu and they'll deep fry it for you(it's a food truck and they don't care if you have a heart attack or something). So the craziest story I've heard about this place is they were selling girl scout cookies cuz the owners daughter is one and this guy said "hey deep-fry my thin mints". So they did it. Rolled some in batter and threw em in the fryer. But the batter chipped off and the chocolate all melted out into the oil and it caught fire! The melted chocolate has a way lower flash point than frying oil, but once it was lit the oil went up. Half the truck burnt up before they got it out, and one of the employees lost all his body hair on one side. Everyone was like "lawsuit?" But it turned out the guy who actually owned the food truck was this big dude around here and he sent some guys to "talk" to the guy who got lit up and he 'decided' it would be better if he moved in the middle of the night. Then the fire Marshall finished his investigation and they had found like 10 pounds of meth, and the big guy was found out to have been using the truck to move product up the coast. He disappeared in the middle of the night, like 50 people lost their jobs overnight because this dudes businesses turned out to all be assorted fronts for his drug running. Including this amazing dirty spoon burger place. The guy who wanted his thin mints deep dried and got this whole thing rolling? The cops raided his house afterwards because of a tip off from the guy who moved after he got burned, and they found an entire meth lab in his basement. The whole thing was 2 meth dealers trying to get the other busted. One of the cops that was involved with the case bought the truck at auction and cleaned it ip and reopened it. "Supposedly" with no meth anymore.
What food is your go-to when you go to a new restaurant?
I'M SORRY THIS ENTIRE STORY???? HOLY SHIT???? CRYING ANON PLEASE THAT'S INSANE TF
Uh,,, damn. It's really damn hard to think about it now,,, but I'd have to say uh,,, it depends on the restaurant tbh

My Job is to Watch Dreams Die
By /u/jobthreadthrowaway
I work at a real estate office. We primarily sell houses that were foreclosed on by lenders. We aren't involved in the actual foreclosures or evictions - anonymous lawyers in the cloud somewhere is tasked with the paperwork - we are the boots on the ground that interacts with the actual walls, roofs and occasional bomb threat.
When the lender forecloses - or is thinking of foreclosing - on a property one of the first things that happens is they send somebody out to see if there is actually a house there and if there is anybody living there who needs to be evicted. Lawyers are expensive so they send a real estate agent or a property preservation company out to check. There is the occasional discovery of fraud where there was never a house on the parcel to begin with, but such instances are rare. Sometimes this initial visit results in discovering a house that has burned down or demolished, is abandoned or occupied by somebody who has absolutely no connection with the homeowner. Sometimes the houses are discovered to be crack dens or meth labs, sometimes the sites of cock or dog fighting operations, or you might even find a back yard filled with a pot cultivation that can't be traced back to anybody because it was planted in yet another vacant house in a blighted neighborhood. The house could be worth less than zero - blighted to the point where you can't even give it away (this is a literal statement, I have tried to give away many houses or even vacant lots with no takers over the years) or it could be a waterfront mansion in a gated golf community worth well over seven figures that does not include the number "one". Sometimes they are found to have been seized by the IRS, the local tax authority, the DEA or the US Marshal. Variety is the rule. The end results are the law.
If the house is occupied my job is to make contact and determine who they are: there are laws that establish what happens to a borrower as opposed to a tenant and the servicemember relief act adds an additional set of questions that must be answered. Some of the people have an idea of why I am there. Some claim they never knew they were foreclosed on, or tell me that they have worked something out with their lender, some won't tell me a thing and some threaten me to never return in the name of the police, their lawyer, or the occasional "or else/if I were you". During one initial visit the sight of 50-60 motorcycles parked on the lawn suggested that we try again the next day. At a couple the police had cordoned off the area and at one they were in the process of dredging the lake searching for the body of a depressed former homeowner.
If nobody is home I have to determine if they are at work, on vacation, in the army, wintering/summering at their other home, in jail, in a nursing home, dead or if they moved away. It isn't easy. Utilities can be left on for months. Neighbors can be staging the yard and house to appear occupied to prevent blight in their neighborhood. By the same token people will stop cutting the lawn for months, let trash and old phone books pile up on their porch, lose gas and electric service and continue to live in properties that have not only physically unsafe to approach but are so filthy that when it comes time to clean them out the crews have to wear hazmat suits. One house had a gallon pickle jar filled with dead roaches on the porch. Somebody lived in that house and thought that was a logical thing to do. People like me are tasked with first contact.
Evictions are expensive and time-consuming. Ultimately once the process gets that far there isn't much that can be done to prevent it. You didn't pay your mortgage, the lender gets the house back. There are an infinite number of reasons why the mortgage couldn't be paid, some are more sympathetic than others, but in the end you will be leaving the property willingly or not. The lawyers handle the evictions - they churn through the paperwork in the background, ten thousand properties at a time. They have it down to rote function based on templates, personal experience with the various judges and intimate knowledge of the federal, state and municipal laws, along with dealing with the occasional sheriff who refuses to evict somebody, the informal policies established by the local judges and a myriad of other problems that can arise. As a business decision many lenders have determined that it is cheaper to settle with the occupants - instead of going through the formal eviction they will offer cash. In exchange for surrendering a property in reasonably clean condition with the furnace still hooked up, the kitchen not stripped and the basement not intentionally flooded the lender will cut the occupants a check. It costs much less than an eviction, provides reasonable hope that the plumbing won't freeze and can take a fraction of the time to obtain possession. This is where the personal element becomes real.
Some people jump at the chance. They don't want to live here anymore. They may be getting married and moving in but couldn't sell the unneeded house. They have a new job across the country, they're moving to the other side of the planet. They were renting and found a better place in a neighborhood where the thieves don't grin at them through the kitchen window while they disconnect a running air conditioner knowing that the average response time for the police is measured in weeks for a call like that. The cash is a down payment, a security deposit (since their landlord never returns theirs), or maybe a moving van. These are the best cases. Sometimes they are happy to hear from me. Other times, not so much.
When I make first contact and explain that the lender is offering them money to leave sometimes they tell me that they haven't slept for months, knowing that something was going to happen but never knowing if tomorrow was the day when somebody kicked in their door and threw their kids out on the lawn. Their lenders won't tell them anything, they have nothing to go on but horror stories from other people that they never knew. It never occurred to them that they should call an attorney and ask what was going on. I can be the first people to discuss their situation who isn't a debt collector: you can hear the release of a massive weight in their voice. It isn't much, but at least it is something.
Or they can get angry and defensive, tell me that they were never foreclosed on, tell me that I am trespassing and owe them $5,000 in "land use fees" for "using" their property as I walk to the front door. They threaten to sue, they threaten to call the cops, they say I should look under my car before I start it from now on. They send letters written in various forms of English - one time scribed in crayon - detailing their rights and how I am violating some maritime treaty from the 1700s. In my travels I have learned that if you copyright your name you can't be named in any kind of legal action, if you never write down your ZIP code then you aren't a resident of the United States and that if I tell somebody that their lender is offering them money to vacate while leaving the staircase (yes, these get stolen) and driveway (yes, these get stolen) in place then I am guilty of slave trading under some United Nations something or other.
For those who reject the deal, nothing changes. They don't lose any rights and it isn't counted against them in any way - neither the lawyers nor the courts care because the lenders don't have to offer anything - the eviction process continues. I listen to the stories why they can't/won't take the deal. They can't afford anything else. They don't have anywhere else to go. They want to make the eviction as expensive as possible. They're going to get "a big settlement" from some vague lawsuit any day now. They want their kids to finish out the school year. They intend to take the furnace as soon as they find a new house. All kinds of reasons. Some are heartbreaking, others not so much.
For those who do take the deal, at the appointed date and time I meet them at their former home. I walk the yard and enter every room. I open every drawer and cupboard making sure the house is clean and doesn't have old engines, toxic chemicals or dead dogs lingering anywhere. Sometimes the kids are there, maybe waiting in the car, maybe not. I see the marks on the wall showing how the kids grew over the years. I see the anguished poetry scribbled on the wall by stoned teenagers and the occasional hole punched in the wall. One woman handed me the key to her reinforced bedroom door - during the divorce her now ex-husband was still living in the house and she had to barricade herself in at night. Another said "right there is where I found my son - he couldn't handle losing the house".
Sometimes they don't want the money and don't want to be evicted so they sign a waiver stating that everything left inside can be disposed of. Hospital beds. Oxygen tanks and wheelchairs. Hundreds of boxes of shoes. A mannequin. A 2nd grader's homework portfolio. A wedding album filled with pictures with one person torn out. Get rich quick "business plans". 40 years worth of drafting documents. To the lenders and the lawyers, these things don't exist - they close the file and order a trashout. Sometimes I linger as I check the basement for mold and lead. I am the final period on so many significant chapters. To most other people it is just part of the job but in so many other universes this is where I ended up. There is no difference between myself and these people other than the intangible twists of experience.
And so I listen. I feign dispassion but I'm not fooling anybody. Somehow they can tell that I care and thank me even as they admit that it isn't my fault, that it isn't my responsibility to listen. I've stood inside another's dream for an hour as they spoke, not really to be heard but to say goodbye - to leave the ghosts behind.
They go to the car and return with the openers.
The keys are peeled from a ring.
They thank me. Sometimes they cry.
And they're gone.
I wait for their car to vanish before I put up the sign. To most everybody else it is just another house on just another block in just another city in just another financial catastrophe.
But I was there. I saw the dream end.
But at least I don't make them turn out the lights one last time as they leave.
That's my job.

Forensic Cleaning - Extreme Cleaning Services
Whether it’s a house crammed full of rubbish left by a hoarder or a crime scene, professional cleaners have the right gear and experience to safely and effectively clean up dangerous materials.
This week SBS premieres Extreme Cleaners, a humourous new Australian documentary that follows the day-to-day work of father and son cleaning duo Peter and Sam Teanby.
Hoarder Clean-Ups
Each hoarding and gross filth clean up situation is different but all require heavy duty cleaning, disinfection and odour removal. These properties often contain rodent droppings, dead animals and human faeces which can carry disease. These contaminated items can also lead to fire hazards. Sydney Forensic Cleaning work closely with social services and insurance companies to remediate and restore these homes.
Discretion assured, our expert cleaning technicians provide a non-judgemental service to help the victim recover and regain control of their life and home. We assist in removing the piles of clutter that are causing health issues, preventing access and blocking out sunlight.
Later this week SBS premieres a new Australian documentary series called Extreme Cleaners. It follows Peter and Sam Teanby, a father/ son cleaning duo from Perth with a unique sense of humour and a no-holds-barred approach to the dirtiest jobs that most cleaners would shy away from. They call themselves “the dirtiest cleaners in Australia”. The show is sure to entertain and inspire.
Crime Scene Clean-Ups
Cleaning up after a crime scene can be extremely traumatising for those involved. The clean-up process must be done in a sensitive manner that is respectful to the families of the deceased and that also complies with strict health and safety guidelines. A forensic cleaning company in Sydney specialises in this type of work.
For example, they can clean fingerprint powder residue from a property where the NSW Police Force has examined the premises for trace fingerprints. The specialised cleaning methods required to remove this residue can be carried out by crime scene cleaners who have obtained the appropriate industry accreditations.
Peter and Sam Teanby are an extreme cleaning Sydney duo from Perth who have a unique father/son relationship, a sense of humour that is infectious, and a cleaning style that has to be seen to be believed. This week, SBS premieres the new documentary series, Extreme Cleaners, which follows the pair through their daily struggles as they take on jobs that other companies would be afraid to touch.
Biohazard Clean-Ups
A variety of situations can lead to the need for a biohazard clean-up. These include crime scenes, unattended deaths, and drug and meth labs. These areas must be cleaned and decontaminated by a professional forensic cleaning team to ensure that the area is safe for people to enter.
Cleaning areas contaminated with faeces, vomit, and urine is a hazardous process that requires proper equipment and training. These materials can cause infections, diseases, and even death if not dealt with correctly.
Peter and Sam Teanby are a father-son forensic cleaning team from Perth. Their humour and sense of adventure shine through in this acclaimed Australian documentary, which shows the two men tackling jobs that most would run away from. From cleaning up a house filled with 400 bags of human excrement to balancing on a ledge ten storeys in the air to clean windows, these guys never say no!
Trauma Clean-Ups
When an event such as a crime, suicide or natural death occurs, it leaves behind a scene that needs to be cleaned up. This is a delicate process that involves removing and disposing of all bodily fluids and making the property safe for its next occupants. This work is very sensitive and requires a high level of professionalism.
Trauma cleaners are specially trained to clean locations that have been contaminated by blood and other bodily fluids. They follow strict decontamination protocols to ensure the safety of anyone entering the property. They also understand the psychological trauma that can occur for those who witness a traumatic event.
SBS is airing a new Australian documentary, Extreme Cleaners, that follows the life of Peter Teanby and his son Sam. They have a unique father/son relationship and are willing to take on jobs most other cleaning companies would never touch. From a house that was covered in human excrement to cleaning up above power lines that carry 32,000 volts, nothing is off limits for these extreme cleaners.

Everything Real Estate Investors, Property Managers, and Housing Authorities Need to Know About Vacant Property and Meth Labs
Understanding the risk of meth labs in vacant properties
In this article, we will delve into the world of meth houses, discussing what investors/owners should do if they suspect they have a meth problem in one of their vacant properties, the hazards created by a meth lab, and how to work with law enforcement. Additionally, we will provide essential tips on clean-up, hazmat considerations, legal disclosure, methods for protecting vacant properties, and more.
Recognizing the Signs of a Meth Lab in Your Vacant Property
To identify a meth house, there are several signs to look out for:
Strong chemical odors: Meth houses often have a distinct smell, which is often described as a strong, chemical-like odor. It may resemble the smell of ammonia, acetone, or cat urine. This smell is a result of the chemicals used in the production of methamphetamine.
Excessive security measures: Meth houses may have heightened security measures in place, such as reinforced doors, barred windows, security cameras, or signs warning of surveillance.
Unusual ventilation systems: Meth labs require proper ventilation to prevent the buildup of toxic fumes. Look for unusual ventilation systems, such as vents leading to unusual areas or windows covered with plastic or foil.
Extensive trash accumulation: Meth production generates a significant amount of waste, including chemical containers, glassware, and other materials. If you notice excessive trash accumulation, especially with items like chemical bottles or empty pseudoephedrine packages, it could be a sign of a meth lab.
Frequent visitors at odd hours: Meth houses may have a high volume of visitors coming and going at unusual hours, often staying for short periods. These visitors may exhibit suspicious behavior or appear nervous.
Seek Legal Assistance Immediately
Property owners may have liability if one of their properties has been used to manufacture methamphetamine. The specific liability will depend on various factors, including local laws and regulations. In some jurisdictions, property owners may be held responsible for any damages or harm caused by the meth lab, such as contamination of the property or health risks to occupants. Consulting with legal professionals can guide the specific liability and obligations in a particular area.
Contact Law Enforcement
If you suspect your property may be a meth house, it is important to take immediate action and contact law enforcement. They have the expertise and resources to handle these situations effectively and can conduct a thorough investigation. Provide them with detailed information about your suspicions, including any evidence or observations you have made. Working closely with your attorney and law enforcement will ensure a thorough investigation and appropriate action.
Meth Lab Hazards and Health Risks
Meth labs present significant hazards and health risks, both to the individuals involved in manufacturing the drug and to the property itself. Meth production involves the use of highly toxic chemicals, which can contaminate surfaces, walls, carpets, and ventilation systems. Exposure to these toxins can lead to severe health issues, including respiratory problems, skin irritations, and even long-term damage.
The presence of a meth lab can have a significant negative impact on the value of neighboring properties. Potential buyers and renters are often deterred by the associated health and safety risks, as well as the stigma attached to properties that have been involved in illegal activities. The contamination and damage caused by meth production can also affect the structural integrity and overall condition of neighboring properties. Additionally, the increased criminal activity and suspicious behavior associated with meth labs can create an unsafe and undesirable living environment, further decreasing property values in the area.
Overall, remediating property that was used as a meth lab requires careful planning, coordination, and allocation of resources by municipalities to ensure the safety of the community and the successful rehabilitation of the affected properties.
Fire Risks From Meth Labs in Vacant Properties
The presence of a meth lab in a vacant property poses significant fire risks. The production of methamphetamine involves the use of highly flammable and volatile chemicals, such as acetone, ether, and methanol. These chemicals can easily ignite and cause explosions if not handled properly.
Meth labs often have makeshift heating and cooking devices, such as hot plates or open flames, which can easily spark a fire if left unattended or if there is a malfunction. Additionally, the production process itself generates heat, which can further increase the risk of fire.
Using improper electrical wiring and overloaded circuits to power the lab equipment can also lead to electrical fires. Meth labs require a significant amount of power, and property owners may tamper with the electrical system to avoid detection, increasing the risk of electrical malfunctions and fires.
Furthermore, accumulating waste materials, such as chemical containers and solvents, can create a highly combustible environment. If these materials are not properly stored or disposed of, they can easily catch fire and spread throughout the property.
The risks of fire in vacant properties with meth labs are not only a danger to the property itself but also to neighboring properties. Fires can quickly spread and cause significant damage to surrounding structures, putting lives and property at risk.
Given the high fire risks associated with meth labs, property owners, housing authorities, and law enforcement must take immediate action to identify and shut down these operations to prevent potential disasters.
Clean-Up and Hazmat Considerations
If a property is confirmed to have been a meth lab, professional clean-up and decontamination are essential. Decontamination and clean-up of a property that has been used as a meth lab typically involve several steps to ensure the removal of hazardous chemicals and substances. Here are the general steps involved:
Assessment and evaluation: A professional team will assess the property to determine the extent of contamination and identify the specific chemicals involved. This evaluation helps in developing an appropriate clean-up plan.
Personal protective equipment (PPE): The clean-up team should wear appropriate PPE, including gloves, masks, goggles, and coveralls, to protect themselves from exposure to hazardous materials.
Removal and disposal of hazardous materials: All chemicals, equipment, and materials associated with the meth lab are carefully removed from the property. This includes removing containers, glassware, chemicals, and any other items that may have been used in the manufacturing process.
Ventilation: The property needs to be thoroughly ventilated to remove any residual fumes or gasses. This may involve fans, air purifiers, and opening windows and doors to allow fresh air circulation.
Cleaning surfaces: All surfaces, including walls, floors, ceilings, and fixtures, must be thoroughly cleaned to remove any traces of chemicals. Special cleaning agents and techniques may be used to ensure effective decontamination.
Structural remediation: In some cases, structural components of the property may be contaminated and require remediation or replacement. This could include removing and replacing drywall, insulation, carpeting, or other materials that cannot be effectively cleaned.
Air and HVAC system cleaning: The property’s heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system may have been contaminated with chemical residues. Cleaning or replacing filters, ductwork, and other components may be necessary to ensure safe air quality.
Testing and certification: After the clean-up process, the property should be tested by a certified environmental testing company to ensure that all hazardous substances have been effectively removed. If the property passes the tests, it can be certified as safe for habitation.
It is important to note that decontamination and clean-up of a meth lab should only be performed by trained professionals who have experience in handling hazardous materials. This ensures the safety of both the clean-up team and future occupants of the property. Hiring a certified hazmat team is crucial to ensure the safe removal and disposal of hazardous materials. They will follow specific protocols to thoroughly clean and decontaminate the property, making it safe for future use.
Meth Lab Disclosure and Legal Obligations
If your property was used to manufacture meth, you may have specific disclosure and legal obligations depending on the jurisdiction you are in. It is important to consult with a legal professional familiar with local laws to ensure you understand and fulfill your obligations.
However, here are some general considerations:
Disclosure to potential buyers or tenants: In many jurisdictions, you may be legally obligated to disclose the history of methamphetamine manufacturing on the property to potential buyers or tenants. Failure to disclose this information could lead to legal consequences.
Cleanup and remediation: Depending on the extent of the meth manufacturing and the resulting contamination, you may be required to undertake a cleanup and remediation process to ensure the property is safe for habitation. This typically involves hiring specialized professionals to assess and decontaminate the property.
Compliance with local regulations: You may need to comply with local regulations regarding methamphetamine contamination. This could include obtaining permits, following specific procedures for cleanup, and providing documentation to local authorities.
Reporting to law enforcement: In some jurisdictions, property owners may have a legal obligation to report the discovery of a former meth lab to law enforcement agencies. Failure to report could result in legal consequences.
Insurance considerations: It is essential to review your insurance policy to determine if any coverage is available for meth contamination cleanup. Some policies may exclude this type of contamination, while others may provide limited coverage.
Remember, these obligations can vary significantly depending on your location, so it is crucial to seek legal advice specific to your situation. Real estate investors have a legal obligation to disclose any known meth lab history to potential buyers or tenants. Failure to do so can result in legal consequences and damage to one’s reputation. Consult with legal professionals to understand the specific disclosure requirements in your area and ensure compliance.
Prevention and Mitigation
To minimize the risk of your vacant property being used to manufacture meth, real estate investors should implement preventive measures. There are several preventive measures that real estate investors can implement to minimize the risk of their vacant property being used to manufacture meth. Some effective measures include:
Regular property inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the property to ensure it is secure and there are no signs of illegal activities. Look for any suspicious activities or signs of unauthorized entry.
Secure entrances and windows: Install steel door and window guards with proper locks to prevent unauthorized access.
Adequate lighting: Ensure the property is well-lit, both inside and outside. Proper lighting can discourage illegal activities and make it easier to detect any suspicious behavior.
Secure utility access: Protect utility access points, such as electrical panels and gas lines, with locked enclosures. This can prevent unauthorized individuals from tampering with these utilities for meth manufacturing purposes.
Property maintenance: Keep the property well-maintained and in good condition. A well-maintained property is less likely to attract illegal activities and can deter potential criminals.
Neighborhood watch: Encourage neighbors to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities they observe around the vacant property. Establishing a strong relationship with the community can help in preventing illegal activities.
Regular communication with law enforcement: Stay in touch with local law enforcement agencies and inform them about the vacant property. They can provide guidance on preventive measures and keep an eye on the property during their routine patrols.
Property management companies: Consider hiring a professional property management company specializing in vacant properties. They can provide additional security measures, such as regular inspections, and ensure the property remains secure and free from illegal activities.
By implementing these preventive measures, real estate investors can significantly reduce the risk of their vacant property being used for meth manufacturing. It is essential to remain proactive and vigilant to protect the property and the surrounding community. Regular property inspections can help identify any suspicious activities or signs of drug manufacturing. Additionally, establishing strong relationships with local law enforcement agencies can aid in addressing potential issues swiftly.
Conclusion
Being aware of the presence of meth houses is crucial for real estate investors. By understanding the signs, working closely with law enforcement, and taking appropriate action, investors can protect their properties and mitigate potential risks.
Remember to prioritize the safety and well-being of tenants and future occupants by conducting thorough clean-up and adhering to disclosure obligations.
By staying informed and proactive, real estate investors can navigate the challenges posed by meth houses successfully.
Municipalities Bear Unfair Cost of Meth Lab Remediation
Municipalities face several issues when it comes to remediating vacant or abandoned property that was used as a meth lab.
Some of these issues include:
Health and safety concerns: Meth labs can leave behind hazardous chemicals and residues that pose significant health risks to both the environment and individuals who come into contact with the property. Municipalities must ensure that proper safety measures are taken during the remediation process to protect workers and the community.
Cost of remediation: Cleaning up a property that was used as a meth lab can be expensive. Municipalities often bear the financial burden of remediation, which includes hiring specialized cleaning crews, disposing of hazardous materials, and restoring the property to a safe and habitable condition.
Legal and regulatory compliance: Municipalities must navigate various legal and regulatory requirements when remediating a meth lab property. This includes obtaining permits, following specific procedures for cleanup, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Limited resources: Many municipalities have limited resources and may struggle to allocate sufficient funding and manpower for meth lab remediation. This can result in delays in addressing the issue and increased risks to public health and safety.
Public perception and stigma: Properties that were used as meth labs can carry a stigma that affects their marketability and desirability. Municipalities may need to address public concerns and work to restore the reputation of the property and the surrounding community.

So, we have this stupid inspection thing where my mom and I live. Because it’s state/gov subsidized, they come in four times a year to look around.
I mean, I get it. No smoking allowed inside, they check for that. They make sure the flooring, walls, and ceiling are in good condition. Make sure there’s no meth labs or felons trying to duck the law. Look for buggy infestations or things that could attract mice inside.
I can get the place cleaned up. I’m exhausted and terrified because of this doctor’s appointment, but I can do it. I only ask my mom to do her room. She’s really bad about not throwing out trash, keeping dishes/silverware, ect. I do every other room...My room, the kitchen, living room, and bathroom, and I got the porch straightened.
All she has to do is make sure her bedroom is passable. And she keeps taking naps, suddenly, she doesn’t feel good, she hurts, so on.
I know her issues are real. But I need her to do one room. I’m fighting off a constant anxiety episode and migraines and, in the next day or so, a painful period cycle. And I am doing everything.
I need her to do the one room.
Because if she can’t handle cleaning her room, and the doctor gives me bad news, how am I supposed to think that she can take care of herself while I might be in the hospital, or doing ongoing treatment?
This all feels like a test. The panic sets in when I realize I’m going fail it.
We could lose our housing if she doesn’t get things done. And she knows I’m spiraling. I need her to be my mom. To clean her room.
She can’t even do that for me. If I get sick, how can I expect her to do what I need her to then?
I am so scared.

Making Huge Profits With Mold Inspection
Those who are familiar with me know that I teach an EPA based mold inspection class as well as that I am certified to teach the lead- based paint RRP renovator course. Not only do I do this in my live trainings at your REIA clubs as well as Metrolina and North Metro REIA, but it is also in my SWAT home training courses so you can get it without any wait time.
Fast becoming one of my most requested classes, the mold inspection course allows you to be qualified to test properties for molds, toxins, allergens, bacteria, radon and even meth contamination etc. Furthermore, no matter if you choose to do it at home by investing in my SWAT courses or see me live, you receive a certificate of completion after passing a test proving your expertise in mold.
Mold Is Everywhere
The reason why I started using this as a major strategy in my real estate arsenal is simply this…Every room ever tested shows mold as well as many other elements in the air. The training course gives you the knowledge to test properties (I only suggest vacant bank owned properties) and use this as leverage to get about a 25% discount on the purchase price of your deal.
Without explaining the whole course which takes hours, let me sum it up for you as simply as I can. There are only two ways that a mold test can come back from a lab. One is ELEVATED and the other is NON-ELEVATED. In the live training as well as the SWAT home course you will be taught the types of mold, if they are toxic molds, how to do mold clean up as well as remediation will be explained to you. However so there is no mis-understanding, this course is mold inspection, not remediation. We don’t want to do remediation just clean up.
How It Works
The process works like this. I qualify you to use an air testing machine that collects air samples that are sent in to an independent lab for analysis. There is no conflict of interest or liability on your part because all you do is collect the sample. And you are qualified to do that. The independent lab then sends you a report sometimes listing up to 10 or 15 types of molds, toxins allergens etc. It will also mention that these molds have been known to cause illness in some cases and they recommend (not require) remediation.
The Process
Here is the step by step, but keep in mind, you can’t do this without the course being completed as then you have no qualification and it becomes just your opinion.
First you take my mold inspection course either live or from my SWAT courses. Then find a vacant bank owned house and make a reasonable offer to get your foot in the door. In your offer ask for a 10 day inspection period for rehab estimates and such. During this time is when you so your air sample collection and send to the lab. This costs about $40 to test and you overnight the sample and ask the lab return the results by e-mail. Once the property has been declared elevated, you seek a mold remediation estimate to remediate the kitchen. The kitchen is where I always test because it gives the highest estimate.
Now I re-submit my offer to the bank MINUS the amount of the mold remediation estimate. I supply the bank with the estimate as well as the mold test to back up my lower offer. Now get this cause this is the secret…The bank now has to sell you the property for your price or huge discount OR they by law must disclose a copy of the mold estimate and the lab test to all who have made offers and all new offers coming in. The banks do not want to advertise they have  a mold problem that may cause illness to someone.
So they choose most often to sell to you. Then instead of remediation, my class teaches you mold CLEAN-UP so you can clean the kitchen area and re-test.  Send in the test after the mold clean up it then comes back non-elevated. So you got your huge discount and a non-elevated test that you now can disclose saying you tested for mold and here are the non elevated results.
Summing It Up
Well there it is in as simple as I can explain, but please do not try this without coming to the class first! You can increase your profit by an average of 20K using this technique. You can also use your certificate to get a license to do this as a business for another income stream charging $250 to $350 per test.  Remember you can also do this at home with my major SWAT rehab course at PeteYoungs.com

Meth House Cleaning: A Step-By-Step Guide
Meth labs and meth houses have become a problem in many cities across the country. Although you might not know it if you live in an area where meth use is common, there are steps you can take to ensure that How to Decontaminate A House doesn't become a meth house.
If you suspect that your home may have been used as a drug manufacturing site, here's how to clean up after this dangerous situation:
Inspect the house.
When the property is empty, you can inspect it more thoroughly. This will give you a better idea of what work needs to be done and how much time it will take.
If there are any obvious signs of meth production (such as chemicals or drug paraphernalia), remove them immediately. If they're in good enough shape to use again, collect them carefully and store them somewhere else until they can be disposed of safely.
Take a walk through the house and look for stains on walls; yellowing of baseboards or floors; peeling paint; cigarette burns in furniture, carpets and upholstery; weakened wood paneling around windows or doors caused by prolonged exposure to high temperatures during cooking or drying out period
Is there any evidence that children have lived in the house? If so, look for toys, drawings on walls and books from school—anything that can help identify their age at the time they lived there
Assess the damage.
Before you start cleaning, it’s important to assess the damage and make sure you know what you’re getting into.
This is especially true when it comes to meth labs, because they can contain toxic chemicals like ammonia and other dangerous ingredients. If you see signs of mold or mildew, asbestos (some houses were built before asbestos was banned from construction), or if the windows are broken and letting in cold air, it might be best to let a professional handle the job for now.
Get all your supplies together.
To begin your clean-up, gather the supplies that you'll need:
Personal protective equipment (PPE):
Brightly colored full-body suits and face masks to protect against toxic fumes. These can be purchased at a local hardware store or online.
Disposable gloves, heavy duty rubberized ones if you have them. You can also use latex gloves, but they're more expensive and harder to find in colors other than white or skin tone colors. If you're wearing PPE, then any type of glove will suffice just fine!
Chemical resistant boots are required to wear over your PPE as well—this will help prevent all those chemicals from reaching your feet while walking around the house or garage during cleanup efforts!
Conclusion
We know that How to Decontaminate A House can be a scary process, but we hope this guide has given you some helpful tips to get started. If you have any questions about the process or would like some advice on how to proceed with your own home, feel free to contact an expert now.

Review: Breaking Bad Season 2 Episode 3 - Bit by a Dead Bee (SPOILERS)
S2E3: Bit by a Dead Bee
Written by Peter Gould
Directed by Terry McDonough
I'm sorry for not updating this project in a week and I may have to update it slower because my last year at the university is coming and I have to put most of my focus there but I'll update this project as much as I can.
This pretty much can be seen as the real starter of this season. It picks up from where we saw Walt and Jesse at the end of the previous episode and here we see them once again finding a way to escape their consequences of their actions in the last couple of episodes and come up with stories of where they were when Tuco and Hank shooting happened.
Once Jesse seperates his way with Walter, he has to deal with cleaning up the mess whereas Walt was in the hospital. Getting all the meth lab equipments in his basement was a starter for sure. Then he went to the hotel for some sex with Wendy but quickly got arrested by DEA. It's actually sad to see Jesse paying the bigger price on what him and Walt does nowadays. Of course he comes up with a story and is almost scott free until Hank brings in Hector and what's interesting is that Hector doesn't give away him. Of course, it gets real horrifying once Hector shits himself in front of everyone but it's also a really shocking moment that gets me. Hector definitely doesn't want Walt and Jesse to be arrested by the cops, otherwise the whole Salamanca drug distributing may be in trouble or there is something else Hector has in plan which we may or may not see down the line. I liked Jesse's conversation with Walt on the phone and Walt's response to Jesse saying why the hell they should still cook together is that nothing has changed. Walt still wants to keep going whereas Jesse doesn't want to but of course he has to get the money to pay Badger's cousin to get the RV filled with meth equipment out of his house. So I'm interested to see where their dynamic will lead into.
Hank had a small plot that was short but really memorable one with him getting celebrated for taking down Tuco and having his metal teeth as an award and his dynamic with Steve is surprisingly not all bad, in fact good considering how Hank acts like a racist around him sometimes.
As for Walt's plot, Walt continues to lie to his family about where he was. I really love the moment where Walt was stranding naked in a supermarket and that was how they found him. Walt lies that he had a short term memory loss but he still isn't scott free because of making Skyler suspicious. The best moment in this plot is definitely the conversation between Walt and the psychatrist. I love that Walt tells the truth that he lied about the whole short term memory loss but still he fed the psychatrist more lies with where he was. This plot's another memorable moment was when Walt comes back to the hospital after breaking into his house and securing his money and gun, puts the needle back into his hand only for more blood to come out of it and he sees a portait of a guy leaving his wife and kids behind. It's a cool shot and it symbolizes Walt getting more and more distant from his family. The ending sold the whole thing when Walt once again lied about not having a second phone to Skyler. Of course Skyler's suspicions don't go away and it pretty much only will make Walt drive away his family from him further.
This episode was a good way to kick off Walt and Jesse's arcs in this season and I can't wait to see where it'll lead.
