Ohhh that's a tough one. Considering quality over sentimentality, I think I can only reasonably narrow it down to three favorites. So, longest to shortest:

My Heart's Red Muscle - 78K, cyborg!Waxer AU. Includes a fix-it, and focuses a lot on trying to fit in when you're different as well as the question, 'how much of who you are is simply the result of your collected memories?'

We Could Breathe Underwater - 5K, written for @waxerboilmonth 2023. It's about Waxer and Boil being Force-sensitive, meeting each other, and how their Force bond effects them.

Love is - 2K, part of my huge Open Skies AU. It started with a prompt from @writers-choice, and I used some lyrics from "If Work Permits," by the Format, to write a short scene for each of these lines:

Love is speaking in code It's an inside joke Love is coming home

The wolves are 8-16 feet tall? Hello?? That's too fuckin large versus my poor tiny creature velociraptors. I have only one left as of this sentence. It did one little bite. But! They served as a good buffer for one round while the rest of us began to run out!

My velociraptor survived another round and managed to get both hits in! If it takes the wolf down it's going to be hilarious. Also I want the yellow starburst even though I won an orange one from melting the crap out of one wolf with burning hands and my fire spirit's flame spit.

One of the wolves is fighting an illusion doing psychic damage, aka, bad vibes air. At least he's off doing his own thing.

Oh hey. I cleared out two more, including yellow and pink starburst, with a leveled up fireball. Wildfire druid ftw. And our bardlock killed the last one! Proud of ya, Harper. Great job!

Trixany: Uh, sis? Check the pointy ears and his purple skin. He's a Night Elf, I'm a sin'dorei.

Coco: Who cares! I got us great seats. We're in what they call the 'crash zone.' Wonda what that means?

Sharpen: Fireworks! Explosions! And don't forget the dragons. We're seeing the dracthyr adaptation after all, Dragonflight Express!

Trixany: Guess it is cute how they keep embracing new things, even as a militaristic people. Like the arts.

Sharpen: I'm a little excited-slash-worried to see how they've adapted a highly warlike mentality to rolling around on skates and singing about their feelings, though?

2 hours later, of screeching dragons crashing into each other at top speed, mid-air...

Trixany: Um. Why was Neltharion even in this?

Coco: I can still smell my hair burning.

Sharpen: I thought that Healing Wings dracthyr put it out.

Trixany: Here, lemme help. It's still smoking.

Sharpen: So. The plot was, Neltharion commanded them all to dragon race to the death with his Titan hand device thingy. And the last dracthyr standing could marry whoever he chose?

Coco: But they're all lying on stage, dead. With broken legs, wings and roller skates. Who the heck is Rustscale gonna marry?

Trixany: I figured it out!! Neltharion is going to bring second and third place back as a two-headed dragon abomination they have to fight in Aberrus!

Coco: Or... marry? In Aberrus?

Sharpen: Hold on. Why were they wearing roller skates at all, if they were flying everywhere??

Coco: Weighted blunt weapons you can swing around on your feet at high-speed. A lot like the original production.

Trixany: ...and then after they get Aberrus-married, they create a three-headed abomination dragon that can finally do all the things Neltharion promised the dracthyr all along--

Coco: *gasp* To sing, dance, skate, and kill! Cause they could already kill. Aww, so it comes full circle in the end.

Sharpen: Actual Sarkareth would have been more believable as the lead guy.

Coco: Mhrm.

Trixany: Definitely. We're looking over this smoking heap of a broken-down Neltharion fangirl travesty on stage and I'm like, 'Didn't someone already live this?'

He's vaguely aware of Boil shifting closer to him, and after a moment, Boil says, "Did you lose a... a batchmate a few months ago? CT... 0327?"

and through the entire ending because WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! It's so good!!!

Hiii! Haha idk if those are memes, though maybe they fit the definition because they get passed around? 🤔 Anyway—ahh thanks so much! I'm so glad you like the ending of that fic! I think it's the only fic ending I've ever written where I felt like, "Yeah, nailed it" XD

Okay, I'm gonna put it behind a cut since it's kiiiind of majorly spoilery XD

First of all, I had initially thought of ending this with the same sort of reunion, but Waxer and Casey would have already gotten in touch via messages beforehand. But one of the really key things I wanted to deal with in this fic was Waxer accepting that even if he never got his memories back and never found his batchmates again, he was still a whole person and not just the remnants of one.

I thought that it would help him come to terms with that if Trapper and his batchmate were to reunite while Waxer still hadn't heard from his. And for the sake of brevity as well as hopefully making the whole ending surprise pack more of a punch, I decided to combine it all and have Waxer and Casey's reunion at the last moment. 🥹

Let's see, I'm reading through this again, and there's the thing I did with the parentheses. I'm not sure if it worked or not, but each time Waxer's inner thoughts refer to 'the other clone,' the parentheses that follow it become less questioning and more certain—like, they go from (Casey??) to (Casey?) to (Casey) to (Casey) before the () just disappear entirely. Because Waxer isn't doing a whole lot of coherent thinking here and because I wanted the moment to seem like it was going by very quickly, I used the parentheses to try and show Waxer processing the shock without being overly wordy.

The only other 'behind the scenes' bit I can think of is related to Casey's tattoo, which isn't actually mentioned in this part but just before it. He has to vertical lines like tally makes on one cheek—one for Waxer and one for Harper, their other batchmate who is dead at this point. I didn't feel the need to explain those in the fic but I thought that might serve as a little hint for readers because of the tally marks on Waxer's helmet and spaulder in canon. :D
