Elaboration of the art scene + initial Lady Void post link ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Art inspired by Milk of the siren by Melanie Martinez
In the moment Pete's body is passed out in real world, in his mide he's been transferred to the void, Lady Void sings telling the story of her being cast aside as a goddess. During the song her monster appearance slowly shifts to more humanoid because of Pete's devotion and finally acceptance and understanding of her.
Finally she has a strong connection to the outside world, her roots are so much stronger than they were before and on the bet drop with the yelling of "LET THEM DROWN" Pete's physical body begins to ooze void itself.
Yes this is a play on Catnap type power where Pete now can drool void that would suck out the life of his enemies. He has become a siren of the Lady Void herself 🥰 so like instead of a "priest" or a "God representative" or "apprentice" he's a siren

oooo i wanna know about orphi!! he’s a gorgon right?
YES YES HELL YEAH!! hellooo i have loreeee hehhe
Ophi is a stargorgon to be super specific, which falls under the larger species of Voidwalkers, End-inhabitants created by the Ianite of his home-realm Astrakheins :D She used energy derived from the Void and starlight to transform gorgons and other mythical creatures into these beings who could move freely about the end through flight and overall had a stronger affinity to transformative magics (such as magical properties related to invention, building, engineering, etc.) They somewhat still retain features from their origin species, in Ophi's case the snake hair, and the Eyes tm (he can somewhat turn people to stone too if they look in his eyes, but its on his own volition, meaning unless he's mad at ya you could look right into his eyes without his shades on) Other Voidwalkers could have wings, any other number of eyes (like cyclops), hooves or whatnot, what's most important is that they have some kind of star like feature about them such as the blue snakes on Ophi's head
Ophi is trans, like all gorgons is AFAB and transitioned at a early age :D He's also demisexual/biromantic! As a whole he's a very loyal, sometimes irrational silly chaotic guy who makes up for a lot of social awkwardness (sometimes he doesn't know when to shut it) with a decent amount of technical knowledge. He's had an interest in portal travel and their capabilities from when he was young which is what led him into his field of work. He also likes bees, and singing as side hobbies :D
Before he came to Oakheart (realm of Mianite RPG) Ophi worked for Syn inDustries as a materials engineer, where most of his research was in experimenting with the physical, magical and mechanical properties of materials being uncovered out of the Nether, which for the longest time was shut off as it fell to ruin in the absence of a god (as on Astrakheins, there is only Ianite. Mianite and Dianite are not present at all, and haven't been. the reason why I can't reveal just yet smiles menacingly /silly ;] Ianite in a way rules over both the Overworld and the End in this universe)
He was somewhat content with his work, but part of him knew that there must be more out there, out in the vast multiverse and was worth exploring, that he could make a name from. He never felt like he fit in amongst his Ianite worshipping peers, and was often seen as the odd one out- this only being fueled more on a day that changed his life forever.
He was in the Overworld visiting his mom's supervisor strolling through some woods when he sees a fiery rift tears a hole in the sky, from it, a blazing horned red god draped in a black fur cloak. He drops what he's carrying and runs through the exit when the god takes something (he's not sure what, or who) from the ground, and leaves with an inferno in his path. He's drawn to whoever this god is, and now having some greater sense of what's really out there, he promises to himself he'll find him again. Ophi spends the next two years putting his research to the test, on days off retreating to a shack in the corners of the End to build a portal. Using some stone fragments from the crater from where the god landed, he's able to hopefully have extracted and located a quintessence signature in a branch of the "greater mianite multiverse" and sets his sights on that realm- somewhere far away from what he's known all his life.
As he does this, he does become shunned by his peers, who bring their concerns to his mother and eventually Queen Ianite. He gets summoned to the goddess who gives him a name for this god- Dianite. She warns him that the god is not someone to be meddled with and that it would be in his best interest to abandon his side project; but the name calls out to the chaos living dormant in Ophi's heart and he goes on with his plan regardless. A few days before he leaves, his mother visits to plant a patch of new sunflowers next to his house, wishing him good luck, and not to forget her.
Upon landing he arrives in Oakheart and is greeted by the others- many of which who also came from other universes. Without question, upon learning that there is in fact a Dianite here, he pledges his undying loyalty to him. When he finally gets to meet Oakheart's Dianite, he doesn't look all like the Dianite he saw back on Astrakheins. But he knows time moves differently between timelines, theres offsets, so it must just be that a ton of time has passed. This is his god. Over the course of the next year, he embraces his silliness, his chaos and contributing what he can to prove himself to the old man- through fights, being apart of the legion and making friends and allies and fighting the bringers of Darkness, finally feeling that sense of belonging he's longed for. There are days he still looks up to the stars not sure if he'll stay here the rest of his life, but for now he's happy by the legion of dianite and the guardian's side- no matter where it takes them (even back to the season 1 world uh ohhhh)

Mianite D&D AU/headcanon ideas inspired by this ask from @licantropa and the tags by @syndianites and @kiwibirdlafayette
Jordan - Aasimar Paladin (Judgement)/Artificer (Artillerist)
The recently chosen champion of Lady Ianite.
He ran away started his journey away from home to find the answers of his mysterious goddess’ whereabouts in the middle of the night with only basic adventuring supplies and a small robotic companion/pet he’d crafted himself. He ends up finding an abandoned temple turned prison, which it seems his goddess had thankfully escaped from, but he quickly found himself locked in it as a group of opportunist bandits decide to try and get a ransom.
He ends up rescued by Tom, Tucker, and Sonja, a very slightly more experienced group of adventurers which happens to include the champions of the other two gods. They had been hired to rescue Jordan by his (non-biological) brother, and are surprised to hear about Jordan’s quest to find the lost goddess, but all happily join on the quest for their own reasons.
Tom - Tiefling Barbarian (Zealot)/Warlock (Fiend)
The not-quite-undead champion of Lord Dianite.
Once upon a time, Tom was just a normal barbarian, though he doesn’t remember those times very well. As far as he knows, he was once a part of an adventuring party that ended up running into a monster far beyond their own skill and ended up dead. However, his own skills ended up catching the attention of Lord Dianite, who brought him back to life as his champion -- as well as giving him a few more bonuses.
He’s the champion with by far the closest relationship to his god, having a lot of communication with him compared to Jordan (whose goddess is missing) and Tucker (whose god might as well be missing). However, his communication with Dianite has become a double edged sword as the god seems very against him helping Jordan find Lady Ianite, instead telling him to get the man to join their side. He’s happy enough to do the task, but can’t help but get nervous as they start to find more evidence that Dianite might have something to do with his sister’s disappearance and what that might mean for his friends with his loyalty to his god.
Tucker - Human Cleric (Forge)
The champion of Lord Mianite.
Tucker has always been especially loyal to his god, having grown up in temples surrounded by clerics and paladins of the highest respect. He trained and duelled with the best throughout his childhood, though a lot of his training ended up being spent in the forges creating weapons for heroes older and more powerful than himself. Most expected Tucker to become a Paladin, but his divine blessing came a lot more directly and his skills with metalsmithing became his very connection with the god he's a champion for.
He was the first person in the adventuring party after he went out into the world to prove himself as Lord Mianite's champion, meeting Tom when the two were hired for the same job. He's happy enough to help Jordan, though he's never heard of Lady Ianite before, as he believes that it might finally be the quest he's looking for to prove himself as a champion.
Sonja - Shifter Bard (Lore)/Warlock
An Archivist of the Gods.
Sonja has always been a gatherer of information, making sure to collect and tell the tales of great heroes. She was able to gather great crowds to listen to her spin tales into songs and performances. Though showy, she rarely bends the truth of the tale, giving a far more accurate tale even if it does not give the best reflection of the heroes or gods she is telling the tale of. She's popular with the people and can typically charm those who don't like her to get them on her side. However she's banned from a fair number of libraries and museums dedicated to heroes who would prefer their tales be told the way that they're currently being told.
If anyone asks, Sonja is a follower of Lord Mianite. And in fact that's what the other members of the adventuring party believe this to be the case, as in the most technical sense it is true. While definitely not as devoted to the gods as any of her fellow party members, she has a more powerful than most connection to Lord Mianite; she just also happens to have made a pact with an ancient god eating entity for more magical knowledge, but that's really her business and no one else's, even if she can feel her patron tugging to ruin their quest for the lost goddess at every opportunity.
Capsize - Half-elf Rogue (Swashbuckler)/Paladin (Crown)
“The Paladin of Ianite” / The messenger of Ianite
A pirate captain on her own quest to free Ianite who the main party find and join up with by apparent coincidence. They ordinarily meet in a tavern where Jordan, Tom, and Sonja all try flirting with her, only Sonja being in any way successful. However, said first meeting is cut short by a group of armed individuals entering the tavern, demanding a meeting with “the Paladin of Ianite” alone that evening and to make sure she actually shows, they have her brother. As the thugs teleport away, Capsize dashes out to try and find Redbeard as she recognised them as lackeys of one of her less trustworthy clients. The main party doesn't see her panicked reaction due to them all panicking themselves, believing the threat to be directed towards Jordan.
Due to the mix up, the main group end up breaking into the back and freeing the prisoner who it turns out is not Jordan's brother, but Capsize's. They quickly rush to help Capsize, who is holding her own in the meeting turned fight but severely outnumbered until the others show up. After the fight, introductions are done properly. Upon learning of Jordan's quest and title, Capsize and her brother both burst out laughing but offer to take the group to Ianerea to meet the other champion of Ianite as a payment for their help.

every once in a while i think back to like. my main cast of ocs and their story. whose whole theme/concept revolved around the personification of destruction and creation, except the twist was that while the antagonists saw destruction as this evil chaotic force, they were really more of a neutral being, as destruction can destroy chaos as much as it can destroy life. the same went for creation; you can create chaos as much as you can create life. and i’m like. hm. i wonder where i got that inspiration for

vikingpilot is gonna make me lose my mind and so is legundo, you fuckers
god. im always paranoid about writing characters that arent my own ocs (i blame quotev rp culture circa 2015, it was.... rough out there) but i am soooo tempted.
would whatver fic i write be for the mianite au im making. almost definitely. will it make sense? probably not. do i wanna yeet legs and viking specifically into the mianite verse to see what happens? 100% it would be hilarious. their existing dynamic would be so interesting to explore when dropped into a world where eachother are the only people they know.
i still need to settle on which if any gods they would follow and i keep flip flopping. so uh. hey viking, legs, viking i know youre enjoying tumblr an awful lot lately, and legs you literally follow me. lawful god (overworld), chaos god (nether), balance goddess (end), or none. i guess technically theres also the wizards which were the builders w creative mode, and the shadows which is.... complicated but my take is hes the void god and is kinda primordial and is the other 3s dad bc well. that part is canon.... or multiple? viking specifically kinda strikes me as the type to say hes following mianite and dianite at the same time. is he actually? unclear.

sketch requests
alright I've decided to open up sketch requests for an indefinite amount of time
(like I said in the other post, this is mainly to acquire more warm-up material)
you can use the ask feature to send requests, but be aware that I won't answer them until the sketch is finished ^-^
fandoms I'm familiar with (most to least): destiny, mcyt (dsmp, hermitcraft/life series, mianite), lotr, good omens, atla, mp100
this isn't a complete list and people are welcome to ask about other fandoms, but I most likely won't sketch unless I'm at least a little familiar with the fandom in question
this is a fun low-pressure thing so there's no guarantee I'll complete them at any particular rate, but I welcome all requests (no ocs though)

I'm going to go BRRRRRRR for a quick second because of a stupid ragnamod and sun guardian jokes that literally didn't mean anything to anyone but mean enough to me to make this
MIANITE GODS AREN'T THE ONLY ONES!!
Yes, the world's are ancient and the filled with Gods and entities that sadly have been forgotten over time. It's uncommon to meet a worshiper that doesn't follow one of the sibling Gods but it's positive
A small village hidden away on a mushroom island housed a very rare religion.
Void worshiping.
Tumblr media
Lady Void is a mischievous, hungry and powerful entity. It was compared to a siren because of its influence over any and all living creatures.
The call of the Void.
Was considered to be the entity reaching out and taunting its followers to join her. Anyone who followed the call of the void ended up giving their life away to her, feeding her.
Void is ruthless and it's everywhere: lava lakes in the nether; the sky; the ocean; even the mind itself housed void according to worshipers. That's why it was worshiped back then, unfortunately fear destroyed everything. Worshiping the Sun or the Moon was less lethal. (but the goddess of Death exists and no one bats an eye.. SOCIETY)
Many other religions developed explanations for the phenomenon. One of the most widely accepted one is: Ianite, though a keeper of the End, was placed in charge of the ocean to keep the Void at bay. Mortals believed the darkness of the ocean was the void spilling out into the overworld from old forgotten end portals trapped deep bellow surface level.
Void song.
Pete was born with an ability to hear the Void. His family believed it was just a child's imagination being too reactive to the worship around him. But he was on the same soul wave as the Void itself. It's an extremely rare phenomenon to be born on the same soul wave as a deity. Such mortals always went on to become the right hand of the deity and was valued as a bride between the God and the mortals.
Void worshiping is such an old practice even Void itself gave up on trying to reach anyone herself, she just sang and sang her endless sad song calling anything that could hear her to come merge with her, to feed her.
She sung beautifully, truly a siren but Pete never had the urge to follow. Until she realized she had an audience.
For millennia she wasn't able to connect with her worshipers, fearmongering and deliberate erasure destroyed her presence as a Goddess. Without power of the rituals and offerings she was reduced to just an entity. Her worshipers carried on what was left of the religion, not enough to nurture Void back to its glory but enough to keep her a sentient being.
Her first intent with Pete was to guide him to her, to the End and consume him. But Pete never understood her call. Only enjoyed the melody of her voice. A language barrier stopped her mischievous hunger. Instead her mission became to restore the language and traditions of the past, to nurture herself back to glory.
That's why Pete hears voices and most importantly singing, he's being guided, taught a language. Sometimes he gets visions of the sea, she wants him to find a specific abandoned End portal, one that used to lead to her humble temple. Sometimes he gets an urge to do a little ritual his mother taught him, but change a few things, mix up the order of the steps just for fun. He's having fun with his personal traditions not exactly wanting to have his identity wrap around them nor sharing with anyone. His only audience is Sparklez. The demigod was fascinated by traditions and cultures of the Gods and other creatures. Captain was the only one who got to unknowingly witness and experience the true Void worshiping, guided by the Lady Void itself through Petezahhutt.

would it be alright if you went into aitheaca embersduo dynamic?
the watcher (merina) and the watched (flash)…
Heck yeah! :D I've been lookin for a good excuse to talk about them (also im definitely borrowing the watcher and the watched for something I love that so much)
The main bit of their dynamic stems from the fact that Mer and Flash are childhood friends; from when they were younger before she became a watcher, and Flash was picked up by Ianite to be her protégé, after he had left the Eden Dimension (which is a whole other thing with him literally gotten sealed out of his home realm, but he had come from there which is why he's got a very sun/light motif about him)
They grew up in the same village kind of on the outskirts of Ianite's initial realm of control and got into a lot of shenanigans together, but eventually as her reign spread to farther across the lands, she's able to find her champion and takes him away, effectively aiming to take control over his mind (as she eventually does). Merina tries to chase after her friend, eventually leading her to the End (knowing that to be Ianite's realm of control, from the legends she heard growing up) to not find him there. She collapses, and this is where the Watchers find her, and take her in as one of their own. As she steps into her role as a Watcher, she continues to actively seek out Flash (now being able to find him a little easier) despite warnings from her superiors across the multiverse that they are not allowed to interfere, only observe.
Regardless, while she spends most of the time in the shadows (as the champions of other gods do)she's the only one not afraid to directly confront to him once he becomes the admiral of Ianite's army. She'll regularly taunt, tease, become an eldritch horror to scare and provoke him in hopes of encouraging him to try and see what ultimate balance has done, and remember who he used to be, not a puppet to his goddess, but himself. She's seen who he was, she sees who is he is now, and she knows he wants to break free.
From Flash's perspective, she's a nuisance. Like Ianite, a presence he can feel all of the time (albiet evoking different emotions), watching, and watching his every move, that sometimes she's there to assist in evacuating a village of chaotic Dianitee's before he and his army can swoop in from the skies to take their leader hostage. He knows he's supposed to be upset, but why isn't he mad? He knows she works for the elusive hermit Mianite but he still respects her. He doesn't remember some of the things she tells him about their past that his Lady insists aren't important, but they still hold some meaning he can't quite place. He can take her taunts, and is able to fight the voice in his head telling him to up and get rid of whats ultimately a threat to their goals. She treats him like a friend but he doesn't understand why. Flash doesn't have friends, he knows this- he has allies, he has work to do.
and going back to the Watcher and the Watched you used, i think also fits really well as a descriptor of their dynamic as a whole as this banter being between two people who have this barrier between them, where there's only so far that Mer can reach through it, that Flash can peer through the veil cast over his eyes before their tie to a role given to them by a higher power has to come first :]c

if Tom n Jordan had arrived alongside everyone else, what would their reactions/ mentality be on ghost capsize and reviving her? and what would capsize’s attitude be to Jordan? I assume rude and unhelpful to the point where he questions why she’s acting like that to him specifically because he didn’t do anything wrong, obviously. Spark answering that question on her behalf with a “after meeting you I can take a couple of guesses” type of response or a “wondering the same/hoping you’d have an answer” response.
Hi hi hi!!
So I have some wandering thoughts about what ifs for my AUs, and thinking about Tom and Jordan interacting with ghost Capsize makes my brain go places.
Firstly, and kinda immediately, they’d be a really interesting interaction with Tom the moment he interacted with her since he has another piece of Capsize’s soul that would kinda instantly leave him and join Capsize. I haven’t fully discussed the way that ghost Capsize works, but she’s kind of fractured and incomplete, due to the original soul shatter that caused her failed revival. One of the major parts of their pre-revival efforts is finding enough of her soul pieces to make her able to revive, and Tom arriving and meeting ghost Capsize would’ve instantly given them that information.
I imagine that both Tom and Jordan would be pretty stoked to see ghost Capsize, Tom because she was genuinely his friend and Jordan because it definitely brings back his saviour complex towards her. And I imagine that they both want to help with the revival, though I imagine Jordan gets a lot more frustrated with the task because, as you’ve kind of guessed, Capsize does not like him and her ghost doesn’t have any desire to hide any of her feelings. Tom has a more positive attitude, but he’s definitely kind of impatient with the process being slow, but he’s a fan of the far more chaotic energy ghost Capsize has, so he’s put on distract her duty quite a bit (typically whenever Spark and Sonja either need to go to Ianerea or Aethoria places that they’re really trying to keep Capsize away from).
Oh Capsize would be just so annoying towards Jordan. She’s not quite the level of violent she is towards S2!Dianite, but definitely repeating her behaviour she originally had towards Spark, maybe even a little worse since she’s now sure she’s dealing with Jordan. Though she mostly avoids him, I do think she has so much petty fun with just directly throwing things he wants out of windows. And yeah, I imagine that he does question why she acts this way towards him, which she answers by trying to drag him towards the nearest Nether portal. Spark I think is more “I was hoping you’d have answers”, but thenTom throws a few “she was into women and you kept trying to date her” and Sonja so heavy and clearly bites back her options that Spark begins to realise the issues (Jordan reminds very much confused)

8. Do you have any OC family trees? 17. What are some tropes and character dynamics found in your wips? 29. What was your first fandom you were in? Did you make any art/fanfic for it?
Thanks for the ask Raven!
8- I really don't have many family trees for my OCs, mostly because for a lot of them it's not their family that matters? Usually the branching trees happen with their friends and other characters in the story, so I can keep track of them! I think the only family tree I ever made for an OC was for my Mianite OC Star, since in her case it was important to know that she was descended from some canon characters.
17- My main original project is built on the soulmate clock trope, where you have a clock in your wrist that counts down until you meet your soulmate, and each character in that project play off of different subtropes within that genre.
29- I remember that the first show I remember being introduced to more fandom-y stuff was Black Butler in middle school, but my second one and the one I wrote fic for was Soul Eater! It was an OC story written in a script format, and it's still online 😅
Send me a number!
