Pretty much just Hazbin and some OCs of mine! (That's basically all I've been drawing the last month or two lol) I've also been reading way too much (not really, fight me) Charlastor/RadioBelle fics and consuming ALL the artwork. I might just be obsessed with Al in general though - *sigh* - before my Charlastor fixation it was RadioStatic/Silence. Anything with the Strawberry Pimp or Vox tbh. Fuck I'm just rambling about Hazbin, huh? uhhhh where was I? RIGHT here's the one and only reference I actively used besides glancing at some official Hazbin art:

I saw it, and then immediately fell into a fit of laughter at the idea of drawing Charlie and Al like this. The whole drawing process made my cheeks hurt bc I was giggling over getting to make those two idiots be, well, adorable fucking idiots! XD

Anatomy is so harrrrrd but I'm actually really proud of myself for how I did with this one, I'm still terrified of drawing the lower body but heyyyy, problem for another day!

OH I almost forgot to talk about my own characters a little?! Hyperfixation, what have you done to me?!!! We've got four of my babies here, all from the same project called Ashland Bites, which will hopefully, someday, be an animated series! I've been writing it for years and years (slow but steady, I'm a team of exactly one person lmao) and I've been trying to get my art skills honed so I can do as much of the (probably very distant, but hopefully someday) future pre-production work myself! I started learning more about animating recently, and the openness that Vivienne Medrano allows her cast and crew to have has been a godsend for learning more about the different steps of the process (all while feeding my ravenous little neurodivergent brain with that good good fixation content lmao)

Can't share too much about my own project at the mo, but let me just say it's got Vampires, the fair folk, godesses, ancient fantasy cultures, modern humans running around thinkin' the world is our definition of 'normal', and SO much more (I wish I could tell u all the things oh my GODDD)

Now I'm curious: what did your first Kirbysona look like? It's hard to imagine you not being the bubble witch!

Once upon a time… I made my very first Kirbysona in 2010! I was in middle school hehe. I was still keeping to myself in the fandom (definitely a good thing since I was so young), so I could only think of Kirby’s species as an option for myself! I loved the Beam jester hat, and I had just played Crystal Shards for the first time so I used them to tip the ends of my hat! :P Then I just straight up gave myself the Star Rod to carry around simply because I liked it! Tying a ribbon around it means it’s mine now haha. I think I had light powers or something like that.

I couldn’t find any colored pictures of her from my childhood in my short search- so this is what I think I remember her colors as. (Colors have always been a little hard for me in art. When I visualize things in my head they look more like black and white storyboards so I rarely colored my art at the time.) if I do find an old colored drawing I’ll show it hehe.

It’s nice to look back at this. This was before I learned about how people online made fun of “Mary Sues” or “cringe oc’s. (A trend that I’m happy has quieted down in recent years.) Before a time I felt too afraid to share my ideas and art in fear they weren’t “special or original enough.” This was just a pure expression of how I imagined I’d live in the Kirby universe, and how much fun I might have with my favorite characters….

I stopped drawing this little puffball shortly after starting high school. But I still thought about her sometimes.

Fast forward to 2023. I wanted a sona to represent myself once I realized my art had a small following on here. But I wanted take the design beyond a puffball, and maybe create a sona that actually looked a bit more like me while still existing in the Kirby universe. It’s not super obvious but when I was designing my Bubble Witch form I thought it would be nice to carry over a few small elements from my original childhood Kirbysona. Just as a small homage to the child I used to be. And in a way, she’s still part of me.

I can’t physically hug the little girl who made that Kirbysona… But I can definitely keep doing my best to take care of myself and create work that she might’ve liked.

Another year Another summary of Art! An Entire Year of Submas lets gooooooooooo!!!! This year I feel like I really pushed myself when it comes to illustrations and I feel like I've learned a lot! But at the same time I feel a little tired, next year I think I wanna relax and experiment a bit more, I gotta learn to loosen up! Might get more art out if I do :p

I also feel the Submas grip ever so lightly relaxing (unless they decide to do Unova remakes haha XD), so I might introduce some of my numerous ocs in 2024! I'll probably start with the conductor oc ;]

Lunch Break

hoho! This one is the sort of AU thing in which the only thing that changes is that I give Emmet a Victini friend (not a part of his team, I dubbed them the "victory duo" because Emmet likes winning and Victini is the Victory Pokemon), I planned out a few wordless comics regarding the idea, they were all very lighthearted slice of life kind of stuff, usually Victini causing some mischief and the brothers having to deal with it

and here's the thumbnails for this piece! I played around with various angles but decided to keep it simple and choose a straight on angle. It was originally a snack break and Emmet sharing a granola bar with Victini, but as I was planning it, submas unexpectedly showed up in the Pokemon Anime where they were serving ekiben, after learning about it it quickly turned into a lunch break! (how fun when new information lines up with an art piece you are working on hoho! ^ ^) After studying what foods Ekiben usually have in them (there was quite a variety!) I took what I learned and try to make the food look like the gear station logo :D

In the background there are children drawings because in the battle subway one of the trainer classes you can face off against are preschoolers, and I thought at least one of them would share their drawings with the subway bosses (and of course why wouldn't they hang it up?), there is also a trophy in which you can get in the players room if you beat the subway bosses on the super trains (one day, battling competitively is not my forte), I did my best to make Emmet's office feel lived in by adding a little bit of clutter (like adding a note) but overall very organized

Bonus Emmet and Victini Drawings

aw come on dude, not on the trains!

ah this one, it gave me quite a bit of frustration! This piece I used to challenge myself on perspective, and challenge me it did! The version you see now is I believe the 6th iteration of this drawing! The reason for restarting so many times is because I originally wanted it to be in 3 point perspective, but I couldn't get it to look right so its now in 2 point... Haha Some valuable lessons learned there!

This illustration was inspired by the history of New York Subway Trains and Graffiti! I read about it when I got to visit the New York Transit Museum and found it super interesting!! Then I went I gotta do something with this! Since Unova is based in New York after all!

I got so many subway surfer comments, they don’t know I forgot subway surfers existed while making this and that I am a huge nerd lmao

I had a lot of fun designing the graffiti on the train (yes it says among us) stylizing the fictional letters was so fun! I studied some graffiti to see how they do it, I could've pushed the graffiti style more but then it would be illegible! I also mixed in elements of Grafaiai graffiti, and trainer that is running away is the artist trainer class in SCVL because they are graffiti artists! And the train that got graffitied is the Wifi Train, due to BW (and the DS) servers being shut down, I doubt that train gets used much anymore, which makes it a perfect target!

hohoho! This was a fun one! I'm not sure how many of you guys read my tags, but in there I did state that this piece was based off the fact that model trains are powered by electrifying the rail it runs on (very low watts mind you) and the fact that Joltik eats electricity, but thats not the only inspiration, it was also inspired by those videos of cats laying on the layout and derailing the train!

Theres quite a variety of thumbnails for this idea (including a comic!), and the idea was there in 2022, but this year I decided to fully commit to it! I started rendering the top right one and almost finished it, but it felt really boring to me, so I switched it up and made some thumbnails in a new perspective and viola! thats what ended up being finished!

The train that is being derailed are Sanriku Railway Type 36s, based off a model train I have in my collection! (While sharing this fact on the original post Haiku Bot detected it as a Haiku?! and this art went out of my target audience, that certainly was a day (⊙□⊙;))

Also I straight up put a picture of Thomas the Tank Engine in the background, I'm not sure if people noticed cuz its quite blurry, the fact that nobody said anything means I probably would’ve gotten away with it before sharing this fact, so hehe :3c

Unexplained Melancholy

eyy! this one! It started out wholly different

It was originally me dropping Warden Ingo in various natural landscapes around Hisui as I didn't feel like drawing anymore linear perspective (ah, but heres the thing, all environments require a little bit of perspective lol), and it was just going to be Warden Ingo hanging out in a lush forest, specifically by the train rock that was shown in his concept art! but after sitting on it, I realized I could do something more with it! by making it a snowy environment I could make callbacks to Emmet's coat being white! hence the "SNOWY!!!" being scribbled there, that was added like weeks afterwards, Then I realized I could push it even more by making the whole environment about Emmet's colors! So the new thumbnail is in color because thats whats its about!

The moon smile thing was stumbled on by complete accident, while working on it it felt empty there and I added Emmet's smile to fill the space before going "moon!!!"

The piece is also a sort of a parallel to last years piece “I am Emmet, I wish for Ingo and I to be a two-car train once more” composition wise, sort of, I tried to at least 👍

Black Tower and Whitetree Hollow

Ah! I was quite proud of this one! Black City and White Forest are some of my favorite places in Unova mainly because the parallels are so very cool!

As the thumbnails suggest it was all going to be in complete black and white, as I was working on it though I could not help but add some values in there so yup! I quite like both compositions but the perspective won me out, plus that one focuses more on the characters than the other one (as much as I love backgrounds, it really is supposed to be about Emmet and Ingo U_U)

Being places of duality and having a battle challenge in there, it really fit them!

Not really much to say about this one since it was very much done on a whim, but

its not the first time I drew Emmet with his hat backwards, I did this little doodle around the same time I did the train graffiti piece, been wanting to do something with this silly idea, and when I heard that audio, I went :o

Following Some Rumors of a Time Machine

the finale! I decided to choose Area Zero because its a very cool place! I am inspired by cool places! and I decided to give it my all for this one!

The thumbnail I made was more for jotting down the idea, and the landscape was going to be more eyelevel? Later I decided to make it so you were looking down into the crater and you get to see the fog blocking the crystal caverns, to show that Emmet was going deeper into Area Zero and the Deepest part is his destination (the time machine, not the underdepths, I didn't know about that yet haha!) I was always going to make Emmet encounter a Slither Wing, with it being based off Volcarona, a gen 5 pokemon :]

Im literally screaming right now because that tiktok thing with "I could never love another" has me thinking of my girl and John

Like, Raya seriously becomes the "I could never choose to love another."

This bitch doesn't do relationships, she had one and only because she was curious about it, they didn't last more than a year and she never had the desire to be in one. Everyone in her family thought she was gonna die alone. Then her and John just click in a way she never thought possible. It takes time but they become each other's comfort people. Raya would kill for him. The probability of her finding another person is slim to none, she could seriously never choose another.

When he goes AWOL, she will cover for his ass and say "good for him". She will not help bring him in unless it's to go help him find Cortana.

And John is the "Maybe one day I can learn to love you, too"

This man hasn't had anyone but his Spartans and Cortana. Now enter this Spartan-IV that is his opposite; social butterfly, knows she's the shit, doesn't gawk at him and is like 'whatever, it's just the Master Chief'

But mostly

She understands grief, she understands his grief and doesn't beat around the bush, and calls him out. And for whatever reason after a mission together, he tells her about Cortana. Not everything, not specifics, not names, just a hypothetical scenario that she understands and listens.

They've both suffered and lost but are two very opposite people.

And he can't figure out why he's so comfortable with her. And eventually, with time, he starts thinking that maybe whatever this feeling called love is, he might be able to do with her.

Zero uses a Gusto Deck and his Ace Monster is Clear Wing Synchro Dragon.

I don't see my Patreon becoming knights only, I still draw Geraskier and other ships. But I had three years of Geraskier hyperfixation and with the way the show and the fandom went it's just nice to have my own thing. People have been incredibly supportive of my OCs and I love that it is just... mine. I can tell their story how I see fit and don't get whiplash by some weird canon decisions. People don't come after me bcs the one they like bottoms or the one they like is too buff or not big enough or mistag the art with the wrong characters. There is no discourse in my fandom, it's just me and my tincans having a grand time. I love Geraskier, it's the ship that got me where I am now, artwise. They were the reason why I started drawing every day and why I started posting smut online. So I don't see them going away. But I won't stop drawing other things. It makes the times that I do come back to the Witcher more special to me.

I know not everybody is a fan of everything I do, that's completely normal. And I do try to be transparent with my stuff, especially on Patreon. I had more camboy AU planned for this year but I had my whole life uprooted so plans sadly changed. I do still hope to do the rest of the comics I had planned for it (two sfw and two nsfw ones) but I can't promise when that will be. Although I had planned to overhaul my Patreon which might help me with planning things out more. But yeah, when that happens supporter will know first.

Here we are again… back again with another year down. Wow time really does fly by doesn’t it? My Anniversary for my tumblr was back in August but I was not really active until near the end of the year, (sorta) So I’ve decided to welcome the new year, with a ‘get to know artist’ post. I should’ve done this a while ago but I didn’t think of it till now. 😘

How long have I been drawing?

I’ve been drawing for about 3ish years, however the first year and half was on and off.

Would I be a good art moot?

If I’m being honest I’m more shy and people scary me, so if you would like to be friends you might need to approach first…. But I do have small surges of courage to message first sometimes! How my friends would describe my personality…

I have been thinking about open commissions and I think I will some time this year, but I’m a bit of a noob with rendering so I will practice before then!

A Fun fact: I’m a cat in a human’s body and need at least 10 to 12 hours of sleep to feel full rested, this also causes my sleeping schedule to get messed up. :P

What type of crime would I get arrested for?

Arson, honestly fire is so pretty when it burns things…. Has a weird magical feeling when you watch it….

An art advice?

I’m honestly still an artist noob so take what I say with a grain of salt. But for those starting out drawing, don’t worry about finding your art style it will develop in time while you learn and improve as well when you discover your likes and dislikes. I know one of the common advices usually given to find an art style is to reference off your favorite artists, it can work for some but for many others this advice doesn’t work, sometimes it can create a perfection of wanting to copy someone else art style or getting frustrated that it doesn’t look similar to your favorite artist style. But I promise patience and practice will pay off, don’t be afraid to indulge a bit out of your comfort zone and explore different styles, besides you may find yourself surprised with what you discovered.

What and when did you play obey me?

I start back in early April, I kept getting ads for it on my Instagram and at some point I got tired of seeing it (and thought somebody in the universe really want me to play the game) and decided to play it, I didn’t think much about it and it was mostly something to kill time and I could have deleted it later when I got bored.

Did I mention that would be almost 4 years ago? (April 3, 2020)

Which of the brothers and side characters would I get along the best?

If I’m being honest I feel like I would get along with the majority of the cast, there always seems to be something I have in common or could do with the characters, I’ll start with the brothers first and also keep it short.

Lucifer: listening to classical music together or attending classical music concerts.

Mammon: ??? (actually the least brother I have common with)

Levi: video games, discussion of franchises and theories, etc.

Introducing my new Feitan and Psyche (OC) fanfiction: Crimson Bound !

Feitan, a member of the Phantom Troupe, finds a mysterious young girl named Psyche and takes her in. From a young age, Feitan learned to fend for himself on the streets, while Psyche's mysterious past left her struggling to fit in with the group. Despite her lack of communication, the Troupe sees something special in her and accepts her as one of their own. As they grow up together, Feitan and Psyche develop a close bond and navigate the dangerous world of the Troupe.

It's been a while since I first created Psyche, my own original character for the world of Hunter x Hunter. I remember reading a lot of reader insert stories and tried to visualize a character to use for Y/N. I started using picrew to imagine what character would I want it to look like, trying to come up with a character that would make me smile. And that's how Psyche was born.

At first, she was just a silly girl with blue hair and a mysterious aura. But as I kept commissioning drawings for her and writing short scenes about her, she started to take on a life of her own. I imagined her as a member of the Phantom Troupe, with a tragic backstory and incredible powers. She's not just a character with no life.

I started sharing the drawings and scenes with other fans of Hunter x Hunter way back 2021 on my old tumblr blog, and to my surprise, people really seemed to like Psyche. I received messages of encouragement and support, and even some fanart from other artists who were inspired by her story. Even my irl friends like her, sometimes they ask for more stories about her and what is she like. It was amazing to see how this character existed in another person's life.

As I delved deeper into the lore and fandom of Hunter x Hunter, I began to imagine a story for Psyche, one that would explore her origins, her abilities, and her relationships with Feitan and other members of the Phantom Troupe. I wrote short scenes, commissioned artworks, and shared them on social media, hoping to find other fans who shared my fascination with this elusive character.

Over time, Psyche became more than just a fictional character to me. She became a source of inspiration. As I wrote and drew more about her, I realized that I was also creating a version of myself, a persona that embodied the qualities I wanted to have or express in my life but couldn't. This might also be a case for some people out there. I am a silent, reserved and shy person, quite the opposite of who Psyche is.

Of course, Psyche is not a perfect or happy character. She has gone through many hardships and traumas, both as a creature from a dangerous continent and as a member of a ruthless gang. She has struggled with communication, identity, and loyalty, as well as with her own powers and desires. Yet, I see in her a potential for growth, for self-discovery, and for making a difference in the world, even if it's a dark and chaotic one.

Now, years later, I still think about Psyche from time to time. Even though she's not a canon character, she has a special place in my heart. She's And I hope that one day, I'll be able to tell her story in a way that does justice to her strength and complexity.

I am grateful for the creators of Hunter x Hunter for introducing me to Psyche, and for the people who share my admiration for her.

So here's to Psyche, my silly little girl. Thank you for being a source of inspiration and comfort all these years.

Fast forward to the year 2016 when something stupid happened and everyone was forced into the same apartment, they then started getting along once again and Seeker told everyone there that Her and Cremini were dating and everyone.. wasn’t surprised since seeker is a straight up bitch who has dated 18 people now and including a chicken… And then Seeker and Thing had an idea about making a hotel and everyone ended up agreeing or wanting to try it out, so 7 years later when it was finally built, all of them took on roles such as

Just wanted to know what inspires you to make such amazing art pieces? As well how do you deal with art block?

Morning! Love your name :D

Truthfully, my biggest motivator is born of necessity these days. I create art because I have bills to pay and family to support. My patrons are a huge driving force in all this, cheering me on from the sidelines while I work; my band of blessed saviours.

I also make sure that my social feeds are full of artists I love, who make art that makes me happy. I'm always watching films and playing games, always constantly absorbing media in this wacky age of technology-infused information. Then if I'm lucky, I get the chance to step outside for a walk in the woods with my sibling to help ground ourselves in the world and reconnect with nature, pure medicine for the troubled soul.

All of these activities serve to stir the Brain Soup and sometimes reflect in my artwork. I rarely get struck with the "fabled bolt of inspiration" these days, but I blame the current climate. I did used to.

As some of you will already know because I'm being quite open about it this time, I'm currently battling the worst bout of burnout I've had in literal years. So really, I'm not sure I'm the best person to be asking on the topic of how to deal with it, but here you go:

In my experience it’s not the best idea to wait for inspiration to strike. Inspiration is unreliable, constantly waiting can leave you anxious, and also most of us just don’t have the luxury of being able to. I kinda think we just need to create despite it (or TO spite it, or in order to spite someone who told you you couldn't, if that's your sauce).

If you feel like your art sucks, instead of expecting perfection try just giving yourself permission to be bad at art for a while, you might be surprised about how much of a relief it feels. Make a hundred terrible little sketches, doodles, scribbles, or just make marks on paper. You don’t even have to show them to anyone, they can be just for your eyes! More often than not I’ve found that the physical act of creating artwork can genuinely inspire you to make more, and better work. It flexes those art muscles and gets the creative cogs whirring. Just make stuff!!!

As a person who’s had little choice but to create for years, it can be really helpful to push through it. Not always, though.

Sometimes the art block you’re staring down actually goes layers deep into the realms of debilitating mental health and poor living status, right into dangerous burnout and breakdown territory. Some would argue that creating art in times of real pain is the best medicine, and indeed, creates the best results. I wholly disagree.

My advice is to always make art in those moments when you can, even if it sucks. And when you just can’t, then rest. Watch your favourite guilty pleasure anime, cook some delicious food, hug your pets, go exist in nature for a bit. Have you ever seen Kiki’s Delivery Service? That!

Generate some colour palettes to use as a challenge. Adobe’s colour wheel tool isn’t too bad either

Other more practical tips include:

If you struggle staying motivated, try to refocus by sitting down and asking yourself "What kind of art do I really want to create?” Try to rediscover what excites you! Is your aim to work in the art industry? To be able to draw your OCs smooching? Draw beefy bara men? Do you really just wanna paint cool rocks? All valid af

Pull up images of your favourite artworks and study them. Ask yourself “Why do I like this artwork?” Are the outfits really cool designs? Is the lineart super stylish? Do you love the way they used colours? After that, think about what you need to learn to get to that point yourself, and start small. Mimic your favourite artworks in order to learn how to do it.

Example: If you realise that you want to improve at drawing hands, just spend a week learning about them. Draw pages and pages of them, find a way to make them fun and sexy to draw! I did just that, and now hands are actually one of my favourite things to draw, it works.

Warm-ups are SO important. If you just started on a piece and already feel defeated, ask yourself “Did I warm up enough first?” You can try looping fifty quick spirals in different sizes with your pen, scratch out some box shapes, doodle some funky wiggly shapes, crosshatch them, whatever you want! Just get that hand moving before you leap into your artwork of choice, it helps to loosen up to keep your lines from becoming too stiff.

If it’s just not working today, that’s okay. Take a break by filtering your creativity into another entirely different creative pursuit. You could try baking something tasty, making music, writing for your next D&D campaign, building cute houses in minecraft or the sims, painting miniatures, crafting with paper or sewing fabric, etc etc. Anything that keeps the creative brain ticking that isn’t drawing is also worthwhile.

And, mentally:

Try not to worry about what other people think of your artwork. Doesn’t matter what age you are or your background, the fact you’ve created anything at all is incredible. You brought something into the world that didn’t exist before. You’re powerful as hell.

Related: please please please don’t focus on being “successful” on social media. Even though I know it can feel awesome to post your art and get instant reactions, these things are a death spiral of addictive behaviour and shouldn’t dictate your creativity. Use sparingly.

Remember that your kid self would absolutely be losing their mind over the cool stuff you’ve made now. Same goes for your ancient ancestors who used to make those little clay animals. You’re doing great, be proud.

Don’t be so damn hard on yourself. I mean it <3

If you keep drawing you will improve. You will get your motivation back. You will make art again even if it takes you a while. And know that a muffin is cheering for you c:

Hello! Ella here, it's nice to meet you. How did I get here? That's not important. Welcome to my page!

This blog mainly functions as a writer's blog. I've been writing original fiction for five years now, but I've been a storyteller at heart for even longer. Science fiction, fantasy, and horror is where I'm happiest—‌contemporary fiction is great, but I'm not truly happy without robots, dragons, or a witch's curse thrown into the mix. I may even write a poem or two if the mood strikes, though I'm still relatively new to poetry.

I also draw, sometimes. It's been a long time since I've dedicated time to making art, and I've lost a lot of my mojo, but it's still a hobby of mine. Maybe one day, I'll end up posting something here!

If I'm not doing any of that, I might hop on just to say whatever thoughts are on my mind. Honestly, who knows what I'll do? Certainly not me. But hey, I make the rules, and mostly, I'm here to have fun!

Behold a pikmin OC

Their name is Mint and they live on PNF-404

I don’t know what the collective species that Hocotations, Koppai, etc fall under like humans do, but they’re inhuman* basically

I don’t know what to call them tbh. A shapeshifter maybe

I might be about to infodump a timeline a little 👌 under the cut

Mint landed on PNF-404 years ago. Their species is designed to be great hunters, since they’re shapeshifters and whatnot. Maybe I’ll try to delve into the species or not I have no idea at the moment

In my opinion, Pikmin 4 takes place after Pikmin 3. Olimar just crashed and got stuck again for like the 4th time idk

Anyways. Koppai trio comes in and Mint is curious about them and starts mimicking them and filling them around. Koppai trio is equally curious because how tf is someone living there. Mint can’t communicate with them so yeah. She gets to know the crew + Louie and Olimar. Very much likes Louie because he’s weird and eats creatures too.

Mint travels back with them to Koppai since they think she’s a castaway, but they can’t find her on any databases which is just… puzzling. Even more, blood tests say that she’s not part of any known species. She becomes an oddity because of these things including her PNF-404 orgins, but the Koppai trio protect her and keep her safe.

She’s stays with them for the time being, they teach her english* (whatever they speak), and she slowly gets integrated into society. Alph even teaches her a thing or two about engineering. I don’t know how many years it would take for these things so idk how long yet. Probably speaks a broken english*.

Once she can communicate with others efficiently they still don’t know where she’s from because she doesn’t know either. She just woke up on PNF-404 and lived there until the Koppai trio’s mission. She’s learned to be more secretive about whatever her mystery species is because like… a shapeshifter is not a common sight to see or know about and Mint doesn’t like a lot of attention.

I want to give her a dog or something similar. I’m working on it

Idk. She gets recruited on a treasure trip to PNF-404 because it’s very known that she’s lived there and probably knows her way around things. Thing is, the people who hired her are shady as heck. She ends up not liking them and tends to avoid them and run off while exploring the planet

In the end something happens, could be the group is getting attacked or whatnot, but she gets left behind. She’s kinda sad but not helpless. After some time she gets her communicator working and messages the S.S. Drake to check in and ultimately chooses to stay on PNF-404 because she’s felt homesick

The communicator actually breaks a year or so in so she’s actually stuck, but she brushes it off because.. eh

Pikmin 4 appears ✨

Meets Olimar and Louie again and is happy. Helps them out. Olimar goes missing uh oh-

A lot of ships seem to be crashing lately and Mint doesn’t really know why, not looking into it much. This red leaf b-word also showed up and now everyone’s day is ruined

Mint kinda just stumbles into Collin, Shepherd, and Oatchi and decides to help out. They accept her help because who else is gonna go out in the danger planet? At first, Mint doesn’t stay during the night to which the crew worries because how could someone possibly be living out there? It’s dangerous?

I didn't expect to get an ask about my OCs in this time, but I did talk? about them before from an ask, which is on the left.

Thing is, it's been a long while and I've sort of drifted off from them. Recently, I've been thinking about a pair of OCs more inclined and focused on the Milgram theme which is on the right! (So that I can match what my blog is mostly focused on as well. Although, I'm more focused on their backgrounds rather than their current Milgram state.) You inspired me to draw the mini reference sheet of them, so thank you! I'll add a short description of each of their lives below too, but it's not fully fleshed out yet since this is pretty recent XD

Fair warning, some of what I'll mention can be upsetting and will contain suicide, abuse, drugs, murder, and violence.

Small background, but this would mostly take place in the slums, and one would know what to assume in places like this. This got a bit long, sorry!

So before Milgram, Krow was a troubled teen. The core reason he landed in Milgram was due to his mentality of "ending things from the root" which shaped him this way thanks to his past. Having a shitty life at home led by parents who only want to meet their end, at one point he's figured the only way out was by force, and kills his parents, whom he deems to be the root, or the cause. Around this time, Milgram doesn't register this yet, and his life continues. (Man, I just realized how edgy this sounds, he would possibly be a year or so younger when this happened, anyway continuing.)

A year or so figuring out a way through life, although going more and more downhill, he finds his way to the slums. His life by himself wasn't as bad as he thought, but it wasn't too great either. He moves from place to place, some taking him for a few days, but at the end of the day the entire environment he was in could only do so much. He could only get as much pay as well, along with the side jobs he could get and handle. His knowledge and experience did increase, and he's thankful, as a person who's killed his parents, he'd always had lingering doubts. That his mentality might as well be who he really is, but he thought that might not be the case after all.

There in the slums, he meets Yui. They get along, and even with a rough life, she still tries to find places she thought he could at least stay in, give him as much food as she can, and managed to help him. It doesn't take long for Krow to learn about her rough life; in a place filled with drug abusers, Yui receives the terrible end from both of her parents, things unimaginable. He figures the way out was none other than back then, and he strikes for the kill. Running wouldn't get them anywhere with their deteriorating state, and they wouldn't be able to recover in time if they're continued to be pushed down.

Yui is a kind person to a fault, frustratingly so, and doesn't let this happen. She didn't want him to be a killer, and at the very start, she had always wanted to take her own life, but she just couldn't.

The catch? Krow had already killed someone. This was something he admitted, but regardless she never wanted him to harm anyone ever again. Out of all options, one day, Yui tries to stab herself to end it all. Krow intervenes of course, and what he thought that he'd long forgotten comes back again, his idea of simply "ending things from the root". He kills Yui himself, to which she didn't want. He tries to kill himself after, but he end up not doing it. Here she unravels the truth he's always avoided, that yet being so similar, they're also both vastly different. She would never hurt anyone, no matter what she's faced, the very thing he's done now. Worse, it was something she didn't actually want. Was it out of desperation that she didn't actually want to die? Was it because she didn't want him to be a killer? Was it something else? It was too late and he'll never figure it out.

She also made him realize things aren't entirely black and white, like his household, like how the people in the slums ended up, simply killing her, or anyone else, can't be the only option. Right? He tries to end things for himself too, but he ends up not being able to, and his only way was to move forward. This time vowing he wouldn't hurt again.

Cue Milgram, which would be a few years after, and he'd be around 21-23. I don't really know how to insert him in the canon story, and even figure out the timeline plus time gap, but for the sake of the idea I had, Mahiru, especially T2, would be who he's going to be connected to most, for the better or worse.

So the question, Would the cycle continue?

And that's it! Thank you if you read this far! Since the focus was more on Krow, Yui got a bit overshadowed, but I do treasure her as much (if not more.) One thing I want to point out as well is the symbolism I have for them, because I fricking love symbolism:

The Cosmos symbolize Yui as a flower, before he "pulls it from its roots" and hangs it by rope.

Essentially, most plants grow fuller only when cut, and this is the case for Krow (similarly Yui). Having endured too many hardships, he's grown the most, but anything too much is a bad thing. The flower that would symbolize him would be Black Dahlias.

Orange Cosmos in flower language means resilience when healing oneself, and also forgiveness.

They both have plant clippers, symbolizing how they can harm either their own self or someone else. Krow's is rusted for obvious reasons, meanwhile Yui's isn't.

The rope itself is a metaphor about how Krow kills the person "for them", as so far the people he had killed were those he thought and deemed to "not want to live" anymore. He also happens to like dried flowers.

He brought the two hair bands Yui uses to Milgram.

The flowers that would symbolize Krow's deceased parents would be Yellow Carnations and White Roses.

Finally, this is the closest thing to Krow wearing a Milgram prisoner outfit (I didn't really think I'd be too into it before and just drew for something for the heck of it but here we are now.)
