With the recent announcement from the UK government that they are going to be doing 2 weeks of mass immigration raids across the UK. This is for their illegal and fucked plan to send refugees and migrants to Rwanda. It us more important than ever that people who are against this know what to do if they see an immigration raid. There are several lovely images of what to do if you see an immigration raid in progress as well as what your rights are.

You do not have to disclose anything to immigration enforcement officers. You do not have to show them your passport. You do not have to tell them your immigration status.

Of course, this community isn't without its flaws, but I think you'll find that overall, it will be a much better experience than the old bird app. First of all, there are no CC's here, so I guess it's kind of a safe space in that sense? You can post the most batshit insane thing and not have to worry if a cc will see it or not XD

Ok, so here's how Tumblr kinda works:

Tags. Tag your posts appropriately, but don't spam (in other words, don't use unecessary tags- like tagging a character even though they're not even mentioned in the post)

Make sure to change your pfp. If you keep the little shape guys, people will probably think you're bots or smth.

You can actually BLOCK tags and people here! Remember, if you don't want to see any discourse, the block button is your friend. No one's going to come after your throat if you just simply want to filter the posts you see.

Some examples of tags you might want to filter out are: #discourse #neg #crit #qsmp neg #qsmp discourse #qsmp crit etc.

Be kind, respectful, courteous, and considerate of everyone in the community! If you have a certain opinion, or you want to talk about certain topics that could spark discourse, then use the appropriate tags I've listed above!

Also, literally number one internet rule: It's not that hard to show kindness and compassion towards others. It's really what we need the most in this community right now as well, so just keep that in mind, please and thank you!

Miette is… everything. We have all agreed that cats are little Victorian children. Miette is referenced often too, so… love her.

Ea-Nasir is the weirdest one, and the one it took me the longest to figure out. This is the transcript of a 3800 year old complaint tablet in cuneiform about Ea-Nasir the terrible copper salesman. This is the oldest recorded customer complaint in the world. People quote this one often without directly stating what it is, so if you didn’t know about it, you may not even realize there’s a reference there, or you’d skate on by and ignore it. It’s much funnier when you know the context, so… you’re welcome.

Those people that are fleeing their land at thousands, if not millions, are met with the military and oppressive apparatus of the “first-world”, the “north-world”, European countries letting people die in the seas of the Mediterranean sea so they don’t get to the borders of the south Europe or the concentration camps in the Mexico-US border where agents of ICE and the United States Border Patrol behave as Gestapo agents by leaving people without food or any human care as they are caged – even children are separated from their families. This happens due to the eugenicist mentality of this countries, their white policies that had origin in the colonisation and the bases of the creation of the nation-state mentality.
