My husband and I have been in full time ministry for 33 years here in central Florida. We started out as youth pastors, then started our own ministry about 9 years later. We started a church in 2000 and then five years later our ministry shifted once my husband had an encounter with the Lord in 2005 that radically changed everything. We transitioned our Central Florida church into a house of prayer. . . I’ll never forget the first time I walked into the International House of Prayer in Kansas City @IHOPKC which I like to call the mother ship of all prayer rooms. I believe it was in 2006 when I walked in and sat down in their prayer room for the very first time. I was so touched by the sweet presence of the Lord that I literally didn’t move out of my chair for at least six hours. My husband had tried to explain the prayer room to me but it wasn’t until I experienced it for myself that I could truly understand it. . . I’ve been saved for most of my life and grew up in the church. I had attended many prayer meetings and honestly my mind would be distracted but that all changed once I experienced prayer and music together. It helps to keep me focused on what I’m praying for and keep my eyes focused on the Lord. . . I love the prayer room and I’m so grateful for @ihopkc , @mikebickle and Diane Bickle. I’m so thankful for their leadership, humility and for their obedience to the Lord. They have been monumental in establishing my husbands and my ministry the Orlando House of Prayer @ohop247 Their wisdom, love and friendship have helped and guided us with each passing year. They have listened, counseled, cared, supported and helped us in so many ways. . . Congratulations on 20 years of day and night prayer IHOPKC!
