The original teasers for Don't Ruin The Magic posted on June 15, 2022.

DRTM was originally a horror survival game where the player survived in an abandoned theme park full of deadly monsters. The player would collect Min-Max Chips off of killed enemies to provide changes to their playstyle.

DRTM's mechanics would eventually evolve into Min-Max, stripping out the horror setting for a stylized team shooter. The main animatronic enemy eventually became the Computer class.

I know for a fact that Max is absolutely crazy about the Nurburgring and probably about the track more than I do. And because of his sim racing achievements, he definitely knows the track more than anyone else. And of course while he's on the way to the track in his private jet, he probably watches some of the real life onboard footage. So he came here and indeed and proven to be reality. He's done that.

Ben: Was that his first time going?

Misha: He's done three laps. He's done three laps. And he has beaten the lap record by. (..) Yeah, because I know the current lap record was 7:49.
