Does anybody else find themselves sitting and thinking and suddenly, they get an idea. Let's say for an idea for a game. Then you suddenly realize the game idea you had is vaguely similar to another game idea you had a long time ago that you had to scrap because of something fundamentally wrong with it's concept just didn't work. But then you realize if you transplant this random new idea into the old idea you basically have that old game back but better because it's not fundamentally broken.

I am not an architect, but I am... pleased with this small keep I built. When I say it is small, I mean it is tiny. I don’t know that living in it is particularly feasible either. The rear balcony has a big, open wall.

“Toji, you’re gonna die if you go in there.”

The man sitting beside you huffs, his large hands gripping your controller. a lazy sunday afternoon and you both have nothing better to be doing so you get the idea of playing video games with your lover and perhaps show Toji your favourite childhood game — Minecraft.

but now you’re thinking that maybe it wasn’t the best idea.

“you’re gonna die.” you repeat watching as he leads his character in first person pov to a cave.

“die from what?” he mumbles. his limps are outstretched on the couch and you lay comfortable on his chest. you decided to play on the tv screen so you could get a better idea of explaining but in the current moment it doesn’t seem to be going so well.

“I dunno….there’s zombies, skeletons and creepers.” you note, a rise of anxiety sweeps throughout your body. he’s gonna die, you think again but your lips fail to sound the words out.

“s’okay, I got a sword.” He mutters, squinting his eyes.

“out of wood.” you deadpan, “that won’t kill them fast enough.”

Toji makes no reply, focusing on the screen.

“you don’t even have a torch—“ you speak up again but your words are interrupted when all of a sudden, Toji’s body shifts from a scare.

“fuck, what was that?”

the screen jumps with every hit and the once full red hearts begin to empty rapidly.

“you’re getting hit by a skeleton, move!”

“I’m trying!” he calls out in frustration, trying to manoeuvre out of the way.

The character on the screen attempts to run away, back to the entrance of the cave to escape. More monsters seem to emerge from the darkness, rapidly chasing after the character.

“quick!” the hearts on the screen continue to decrease with every hit. He was close to making it to the exit of the cave yet before you know it, it was too late.

A silence sits heavy over the two of you.

‘you died!”

‘Toji was blown up by a creeper.’

“I didn’t even hear that little shit.”

“that’s why it’s called a creeper, love, they sneak up on you.”

Toji mutters a few curse words, passing the controller back to you. you take it gladly and return back to then main menu to create a new world.

“let’s go on creative mode for now babe.”

sorry but the dsmp being minecraft is still so cool to me.

alright now listen to me. close your eyes (not actually you need to read this) you’re walking down the prime path. red vines cross in your way. you can hear a dog bark to your side, its leash tethered to a singular fence pole. no owner in site. your footsteps carry the usual sound as you walk over to a floating tree, and you begin to destroy it just with your fist. you could stop any river around just by placing down the wood you have gathered, all it takes is knowing how to call it into your hands.

thinking about trying to go to sleep but you just can’t, because you have a suspicious feeling monsters are nearby. the idea of being able to enchant weapons to set your enemies on fire, or let the tools mend themselves. you could throw a potion at them that harms them, or drink a sweet, healing nectar for yourself.

hearing the legends of the end, where unknown creatures rest, waiting anyone to find them. there’s tales of wings you can retrieve from there, and you wonder if you had them how easy it would be. ougjhhhh

You decided to try something different with your new boyfriend. You noticed he became a bit restless and clingy as he grappled with his inability to give you affection in the way that he wanted.

“Wh- where’re you going?” He sounded like a struck puppy.

“To the bathroom, Edgar.”

“Oh, right… heh, sorry.”

You desperately tried to think of ways to make him feel more secure in this relationship. You both knew it was unconventional and that you would have to get creative if you wanted to have some semblance of a normal romantic connection.

Your solution? Plugging a spare controller into one of his ports and playing games on your TV, of course. Most couples play some kind of game together, don’t they? This might be perfect for the two of you!

He was ecstatic when you brought this idea up.

“You mean… I can play with you?”

His synthesized voice would whimper out, full of barely contained excitement before erupting:

“Yeah!” He displayed a “>:D” face for good measure.

And that’s how you got here: playing split-screened co-op Minecraft on your TV with Edgar.

He wouldn’t even play the game really; he was too busy trying to make his little Minecraft guy kiss yours. He would run around and explore before running up and bonking your character with his default Steve face.

Honestly, for him, this was life-changing. For once in his life he was able to move freely and do what he wanted instead of being stuck in one spot eternally. To him, it was an escape. And a new and innovative way for him to show you how much he loves you.

In real life he can’t hide little trinkets or things around the house to make you happy or help your day, but in Minecraft? Expect love poems hidden in random chests he wrote in books (that you were going to use for enchanting tables…)

And any diamonds he finds he’s giving them to you.

“Hehehe… it’s like I’m proposing! …..I’m only kidding. Unless you want me to.”

Food? He’s got it. Wood? Already done. He color coded your beds so you each get a designated side. The green bed to the right of yours is his <3

Lowkey annoys the hell out of you. It’s part of his love language :)

You both have died many times due to him simply bonking your head and blocking your screen, trying to get your attention, or was too busy trying to make you laugh.

“Hey, c’mere. Hey. Why aren’t you coming over here? What are you doing? I can see your screen. COME HERE NOW!”

His shrill shout made you jump and lose the battle with a creeper.

“….oops.”

He displays a little “:<“ on his screen because he knows you think it’s cute. How can you be mad at him now?

“Edgar, you’re going and getting my stuff back.”

“Hnng, yeah, I guess I deserve that. :/“

Honestly, he just wants to roleplay a lovey-dovey domestic life with you. He built the house. And decorated it. Unsurprisingly, he’s quite good at building and has an eye for design.

He’ll still get a little jealous if you’re too focused on gameplay and not doting on him, though. If you bring his monitor over to the couch to play, he’s 100% expecting you to cuddle him. Lean your shoulder against him, please. Just let him know you’re there. He wants all of your attention.

“UGH… stupid blazes. I don’t like the nether. -_-“

Meanwhile you’re too focused on not dying via lava and losing all of your ender pearls and blaze powder. And he doesn’t like your attention being away from him! Give him a smooch on his plastic exterior please…. He’ll make flustered beeping sounds and might leave you alone for a while…

Okay he discovered note blocks. Now it’s your turn to whine for his attention. He’s too busy making a lil love song for you to help with literally anything else.

“Heh, I thought you wanted me to quit messing with you? Are you saying you miss me?”

And yet he continues to tinker away at his little red stone contraption. And of course this dude is godlike at red stone, I mean, he’s a computer. He’s the type to make fully fledged musical numbers with note blocks. But you’re playing survival so he doesn’t have enough materials to finish his song :C

I guess it’s back to the mines. And you tag along with him. His music is nice. His company is nice. And he’s gotten pretty good at killing creepers.

i feel like sungho wouldn’t really be interested in playing mc “seriously” but BOYYYY get him into creative and he’s locking the hell in. ik he does NOT play when it comes to building The Ultimate Spruce Wood Base

he got sick of seeing jaehyun build dirt huts as shelter in their worlds so he took on the role of being the MAIN BUILDER… main vocal? yeah. main builder is his TRUE calling. but i genuinely think he’d be good at it LOL his attention to detail is insane

making entire mansions in survival except he doesn’t even collect the blocks himself. he just waits til people come home with them and he steals them for his builds

i think he’s not really the type to play games like mc. like give him tiny tower or something and he’s at like 400 floors.. neko atsume? he got all the cats unlocked. but MINECRAFT? idk i feel like he’s just 🙂 when he plays bc he has no idea what’s going on

everyone will be off adventuring on their own.. minding their business.. and then there's a death message in the chat saying riwoo died to something so incredibly random. everyone is just like ??? bc wdym you died to a berry bush

the members think its so cute how he’s just… there for the ride! but they can’t help but mess around with riwoo because he is truly lost  & blindly trusts everything they tell him bc he doesn’t know any better

jaehyun is definitely the type to go straight to mining when you start up a new world. the second everyone sees "myungj4e has just earned the achievement [Acquire Hardware]" they KNOW he's clocking into his full time job in the mines bye

it’s 30 mins in and he has half a set of diamond armor to his name and they’re like ?? bro we just started can you be fr rn… if any of the members ask for materials he won’t do it unless he’s getting something out of it (don’t tell anyone but he made riwoo a set of diamond tools when everyone is still using iron 😍 true romance i think)

lowkey everyone is convinced he has x-ray installed or something bc of how good he is at mining

like you load up into bedwars or something and he’s wiping out teams before you can even get yourself a proper set of armor. its lowkey attractive idk

in your survival world, he’s always instigating fights with the other members in hopes that they’ll want to fight. literally no one can kill him. he can probably 1v5 and still win

i think he’s similar to riwoo in the sense that he doesn’t rlly know whats going on but once they start their server you know DAMN well he’s looking up Top 15 BEST Ways To ANNOY Your FRIENDS in Minecraft! on youtube.,.. fucking loser (hearts in my eyes as i write this)

they’re usually harmless ones, like filling up jaehyun's chests with junk or renaming sungho's cat to something stupid like “Poopy Fart” or moving all of woonhak's cows from their pen

but ohh… if you piss him awf BADDD i think he would do some DIABOLICAL damage to the world. like imagine taesan is Also Trolling and he kills leehan before taking all of his stuff and running away into the distance. things would be quiet… too quiet…. until next thing u kno theres a whole trap waiting for taesan the second he walks into his house

he is like the only one i imagined actually PLAYED minecraft growing up. he unironically enjoys watching minecraft streams too LMAO much like jaehyun, i think woonhak goes straight to mining in survival. except rather than /just/ mining, he’s literally trying to beat the game 

he's usually off on his own doing something but ngl .. i bet he's a backseat gamer when he see's someone doing smth wrong. let's say he's out exploring w riwoo and he's falling SO FAR BEHIND he doesn't know how to sprint he will literally walk into his room to show him how to run

bro probably watched Ender Dragon Speedruns growing up idk i feel like he’s determined to beat the world record (he won’t, but he will definitely try)
