love on display (Charles Leclerc X Max Verstappen)
It all starts with a bet.
Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen, arguably the biggest rivals on the F1 grid, are dared they couldn't spend a day with each other, let alone build a solid relationship.
And who were they to turn down a challenge?
Chapter 2: Last Friday Night
There's a stranger in my bed, there's a pounding in my head,
Glitter all over the room, plink flamingos in the pool,
I smell like a mini bar, DJ's passed out in the yard,
Barbies on the barbecue, this a hickey or a bruise?
- Last Friday Night, Katy Perry
_____________________________________________
After swiftly maneuvering through the crowd, Max pulled Charles into a night black car, which the younger one would later find out was an Uber Max had ordered before hand.
Placing himself beside the Monegasque, the older boy instructed the other to tell the Uber driver his address, which came as great difficulty considering his brain had short circuited at that moment.
Every inch of contact between both of their skin made the younger's body light ablaze, the alcohol amplifying the bitter feeling.
Looking out the window, the boy diverted his attention to the night sky above. Small flashing stars painted the canvas of black. The full moon hung lowly, observing the busy setting of Monaco; the home of glamour.
As the car swayed left and right, the liquids in Charles began to swirl as well, causing his face to go a sickening green colour, belching slightly.
Noticing the worsening state of the boy beside him, the older boy re instructed the driver in front with some slurred French. His hand
moved to support the boy's back, rubbing circles in order to help soothe the pain.
While the action didn't help numb the pain much, the thought of Max caring for him certainly brought some color to his cheeks.
After what seemed like an eternity to Charles, the car finally pulled up to an apartment complex, unfamiliar to him.
Almost immediately opening the door, he belted out of the car and ran to the building's door, only then realizing this wasn't where he lived. Just in time it seemed, the older boy re assured him that he hadn't gone mad.
"This is my apartment, you're too sick to stay the night alone at your's," he clarified as he opened the door.
Charles groaned at the thought of having to spend the entire night at Max's apartment, his rival's apartment.
Stepping aside to let him in, the Dutchman lead the Monegasque to his apartment, coming as great difficulty considering Charles continued on stumbling.
Finally reaching the apartment, Charles almost immediately sprinted into the bathroom (which took him quite some time to find considering it was his first time here.) Leaning against the toilet, he emptied his guts, releasing some of the previous pain that had been haunting him.
Noticing the puking boy, Max asked if he needed anything, because while Charles might be his rival, he is still human.
"I'm good," Charles began, but was quickly cut off by his own vomiting.
Realizing the boy would need some time in the bathroom, the older one disappeared into a nearby room, presumably to get ready for bed.
After an eternity of vomiting until he had nothing left to empty, Charles exited the bathroom, head still spinning but his liver in a slightly better condition.
Noticing the boy who had just exited, Max moved to guide him to a nearby bedroom, pressing on his back to lead him, careful not to push him too hard and stir his stomach again.
Opening the door to the room, the Dutchman pointed to a bed that lay against the wall, "This is where you'll sleep for the night, bathrooms on the left if you need it."
Rubbing circles onto his eyes, the other boy plopped himself face flat on the bed, not bothering to change out of his clothes.
Max laughed at the stupidity of Charles sleeping in his filth soaked clothes, causing the other boy to shoot daggers at him through his eyes.
"What," he mumbled, mouth still half covered by the bed sheets.
"You're really gonna sleep in those alcohol drenched clothes?"
Charles rolled his eyes before smacking his head back against the pillow, hearing one last voice before the door shut, "You can take your clothes off, I'm not going to be stalking you like a pervert at night."
Considering Max's words for a short minute, he stripped down to his boxers, this time properly getting into bed. He placed his phone on the bed side counter before slipping under the covers, nuzzling his face deep into the soft pillow.
It didn't take long before for the boy to drift off into deep sleep, tiredness overwhelming him.
____________________________________________________________
Awoken by the light seeping through the windows, Max's eyes fluttered open, immediately met with a blurred memory as to what happened last night. Lifting the covers off his body, the boy quickly put on a pair of pants and a shirt that were on the floor.
Opening the door, Max made his way to the kitchen, fetching some paracetamol and a glass of water. Careful not to disturb the sleeping boy, he entered Charles's room and placed the glass of water and aspirin on his bedside table. As he did so, he noticed a new notification on the boy's phone, it was from his text messages.
Don't snoop Max, the angel on his shoulder told him, but curiosity got the best of him.
Picking the phone up, he noticed the text message wasn't from a person, but a group chat:
"Lecstappen Bet".
Trying to open the message, he was met with the remembrance that Charles had a password. Practically sprinting to his bedroom, Max snatched his phone off the table, once again seeing a message from a group chat, "Lecstappen Bet".
Opening the message, he scrolled to the beginning of the chat, which took quite some time considering the amount of text messages they had sent.
Pierre added Max, Charles, Daniel, Carlos, Lando, Oscar, Logan, Alex to the group.
Pierre changed group chat name to "Lecstappen Bet".
Pierre: Bonjour bitches
Daniel: tf is that gc name
Pierre: i kinda made a bet with max that he and Charles could never date each other
Daniel: poor maxs wallet
Pierre: yh so I'm here to make sure I don't lose em 1000 dollars cus like he was pretty serious yesterday
Carlos: and why did u drag us into this
Oscar: yh why did u
Carlos: stfu Piastri
Oscar: fuck u
Lando: I'm not complaining I love drama
Pierre: cus I needed witnesses
Alex: tf is this court
Pierre: yes just roll along albon
Feeling slightly enraged, the Dutchman decided to also have a word in this.
Max: so what r u gonna do
Pierre: would u look at that, the man himself is here
Pierre: since u took Charles home with you yesterday take a selfie with him to prove it
Max: he's sleeping
Pierre: cmon u need a better alibi than that
Deciding to prove the irritating French man wrong, he strode towards Charles's bedroom once again, this time leaning on the floor beside his bed. He snapped a quick selfie, sending it to the group chat in hopes to humiliate Pierre even more.
Max: sent an attachment
Max: would u look at that French boy he is here w me
Daniel: lmaooo he js logged off 😭😭
Max: coward 🤣
Lifting his gaze from his screen, the Dutchman's eyes traced over the younger boy's features, examining him closely. His gaze wandered downwards, a thought that he would've never said crossing his mind,
Nice ass Charles.

Todays rip: 11/12/2023
Initial Deluxe (I've Just Raced on this Course Before)
Season 7 Featured on: Now That's What I Call Quality! 3
Ripped by Madinstance
youtube
Tentative rip name: Initial Deluxe - I've just raced on this Course before
This is another recent one - as recent as just the beginning of this month, to be precise. And if you're keeping up with the channel, I don't really blame you for missing it: it was uploaded right after the conclusion of a day-long mini event in Fisher-Price Day on the 29th, and just a few hours before the way-too-big Goomba Got Back Day event - squeezed in the middle alongside just a half dozen other rips. Frankly I was almost about to skip this one to focus more on catching up with the prior events, yet...people in the SiIvaGunner Discord server were absolutely enamored with this rip in particular. And after giving it a shot, its immensely easy to see why - Initial Deluxe (I've Just Raced on this Course Before) was an absolute delight of a surprise that I can't believe wasn't given more fanfare.
Honestly, before the rip's creator was revealed, I was partially convinced this was another collaboration project in disguise, similar to Patched Plains Fusion Collab - yet if it were to be any one ripper to take on this wide variety of different musical styles to rearrange, I suppose it WOULD indeed be Madinstance. The guy's not a new face around here at all, and his skills in arranging are damn near unrivalled: Fell From a High Place (Reprise), M-O-O-G City, Every Mob Wants to Rule My World, and so many more...you'll notice, though, that all three examples I used here are all made in reverence of the same game: Minecraft. Having talked with Madinstance myself before, he strikes me as someone who's most willing to go all-in if it means being able to pay respects to something he truly adores and cherishes - like Minecraft, like Plok and other Follin-composed games. What Initial Deluxe (I've Just Raced on this Course Before) signals to me, is that this feeling of respect also extends to the Mario Kart series.
Released earlier in November, the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass has brought Mario Kart back into discussion for a lot of Nintendo fans - both in the valid criticism against its graphical quality, but also in reverence and celebration of just how well done several of the track remasters were done. Since Mario Kart DS, part of Mario Kart's identity has become to celebrate the race tracks that built the series' legacy to what it is today - which the Booster Course Pass amplifies a hundredfold. Initial Deluxe (I've Just Raced on this Course Before) thus feels like a celebration of a celebration - a lovely, heartfelt medley of musical styles from all the different Mario Kart games represented within Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. All the sections are primarily based on one notable track featured in each game - Neo Bowser City from Mario Kart 7, Cheese Land from Mario Kart Super Circuit, and so on, and all the picks feel like they were chosen with utmost care to truly represent the vibe each game's soundscape holds. As a Mario Kart Wii-kid myself I certainly feel very represented with the choice made!
All of that isn't even touching on the joke being adapted onto these various Mario Kart soundscapes - the iconic Eurobeat song Deja Vu from the anime series Initial D. A song long associated with the love of driving and racing at high speeds, it now takes on a new meaning when associated with all of these games, that together raised generations of kids into becoming fans of high-octane driving - its a meeting that felt destined to happen, and each style renders the song in such refreshingly high quality. The styles feel like so much more than just setdressing, as tons of flavor is injected from each one: from the lighthearted whistles of Mario Kart Double Dash!!, to the rawness of Mario Kart Super Circuit's compressed instrumentation, to the elements the Mario Kart Wii segment takes from tracks like its Options menu music... Initial Deluxe (I've Just Raced on this Course Before) is such a whollistic, dense and wonderful celebration of all that Mario Kart is and has become, all to the tune of one of the internet's most beloved pieces of racing music.

Tube amp trio, 10 years on
Yeah I'm not dead, I just bought a house and took a few years off from making music-stuff so I could focus on house stuff
Anyway
Last year I spent... countless hours designing some guitar pedals that I still haven't built yet... but in the process, learned a lot of new quirks of vacuum tube behavior. And while designing & prototyping those pedals (which I will finish the next time that I get the urge to solder), I realized that some of those weird quirks explained why my amps never sounded quite the way I wanted to sound.
For example:
Did you know that the gain factor of a triode changes depending on the impedance it has to drive? And that's in addition to whatever signal loss you're going to be seeing when you consider its own somewhat high output impedance? For example, a 12AX7 common-cathode gain stage loaded with 50k only generates a little more than half as much gain as it would with a 500k load, and you're still looking at a 38k anode impedance running into that load. So it produces a smaller amplified signal and then attenuates it more. Consider the final preamp triode in the classic Fender AB763 circuit: at a glance it looks like its output just runs through some mixing resistors on its way to the phase splitter, but then you spot that pesky Tremolo intensity pot hiding further down in the schematic. Oh, and those mixing resistors and the other channel's anode resistors all form a big complicated network of AC paths to ground, acting in parallel with the more obvious parts of that load... and right before that triode is the big signal-attenuating reverb filter. So that last stage isn't spitting out a great big signal and slamming the phase splitter like I thought it was in 2014: it's taking a very manageable signal, spitting out a small signal, and then throwing even more away on its way to the splitter. No wonder my Fender-inspired build always seemed too dirty and never did the spanky-clean funky stuff properly.
I rebuilt the entire pre-amp in the Fender-y amp and now it's just dandy. Added some more options too, so now it convincingly covers the entire Fender clean spectrum, certain Dumble settings, and the Mesa Mk1, Lonestar, and Blue Angel pre-amp circuits. Very flexible. Lots of mini toggles.
Another example:
I was - and remain - power tube agnostic when it comes to BS like "American power tubes sound glassier and cleaner than British power tubes!" No they don't. That's how the preamps and speakers are voiced. It has nothing to do with the power tubes.
Buuut
That "they're all the same, just different power levels" attitude made me miss that different models of tube have different levels of input headroom.
For example, it turns out that a 6v6 starts to distort at about the same level of input signal as an EL34 does, which means that the power tube distortion start at an appropriate level for my Fender and Marshall styled amps when they're cranked up loud, but an EL84 offers much less clean input room before it hits its maximum output and distorts. So the Vox styled amp, with the 6v6 output section I gave it back when there were no trustworthy manufacturers for EL84s, was completely incapable of pushing its output tubes into the kind of saturation demanded by Queen. So I ended up rewiring the power transformer to nerf the voltage, replaced the output transformer to an EL84-friendly value, and popped in new sockets to use the right tubes. Luckily JJ makes good EL84 tubes now and so the reliability problems are solved and the amp sounds right again.
Okay, one more example that has nothing to do with the tubes:
When I chose my speakers for these amps I based my choices on what kind of aftermarket speakers people were putting into their amps at the time, and alnico blues were extremely popular. So sure, why not? Jensen alnicos it was. Fast forward ten years and I've realized: that's not what came in Fender amps in the 60s, and that's part of why my Fender-ish never sounds properly Fender-ish. Bought me a proper cheap ceramic Jensen, wired it up in the speaker cabinet, and voila: the crisp dare-I-say "ice-picky" trebles that were always missing were there. And to think, this wouldn't have been a problem if I had originally gone with the same "we chose this one because it was cheap" speaker the things shipped with half a century ago.
. . . . .
Yeah it turns out if you want to make something that sounds like the amps you've been listening to from the last 60 years of recordings, the best way to do that is to pay careful attention to what was inside those amps instead of trying to reinvent the wheel.

The Evolution of Vox Amps: From Vintage Classics to Modern Innovations

Vox amplifiers have a storied history that spans over six decades, leaving an indelible mark on the music world. Renowned for their distinctive sound and innovative designs, Vox amps have been a staple for iconic musicians and continue to be a favorite among guitarists today. This blog delves into the evolution of Vox amplifiers, tracing their journey from vintage classics to modern innovations, and exploring how they have remained relevant in the ever-changing landscape of music technology.
Early Beginnings and the Birth of a Legend
The story of Vox amps begins in the late 1950s with the founding of the Jennings Musical Industries (JMI) in Dartford, England. The company's first major breakthrough came with the introduction of the Vox AC15 in 1958. The AC15 quickly gained popularity for its unique sound, characterized by a bright, jangly tone that was perfect for the emerging rock 'n' roll scene. Its success paved the way for the development of what would become Vox's most iconic amplifier, the AC30.
Introduced in 1959, the Vox AC30 was designed to meet the growing demand for a louder amplifier that could fill larger venues. It featured two 12-inch speakers and 30 watts of power, which was a significant increase from the AC15's single speaker and 15 watts. The AC30's distinctive chime-like tone, achieved through its use of EL84 power tubes and the famous Top Boost circuit, quickly caught the attention of influential British bands like The Beatles and The Shadows, cementing Vox's reputation in the music industry.
The Golden Age of Vox
The 1960s were a golden age for Vox amplifiers. The AC30 became synonymous with the British Invasion, gracing the stages of legendary bands like The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, and The Yardbirds. Its ability to produce both clean and overdriven tones made it incredibly versatile, and its robust construction ensured reliability on the road.
During this period, Vox continued to innovate with new models and features. The Vox AC100, also known as the Vox Super DeLuxe, was introduced to cater to the increasing demand for more powerful amps. Vox also experimented with transistor technology, releasing the Vox Super Beatle and the Vox T60, which found favor with bassists and keyboardists.
Challenges and Resurgence
Despite its early success, Vox faced significant challenges in the late 1960s and 1970s. The rise of American amp manufacturers like Fender and Marshall, combined with financial difficulties at JMI, led to a decline in Vox's market share. However, the company's acquisition by the Rose-Morris Group in the early 1970s provided a much-needed lifeline.
The 1980s and 1990s saw a resurgence of interest in vintage gear, and Vox amps experienced a renaissance. Musicians began to rediscover the unique sound of vintage AC30s, and the demand for reissues grew. Vox responded by reissuing classic models with modern updates, ensuring that the iconic sound of the AC30 remained accessible to new generations of musicians.
Modern Innovations and the Future of Vox
In recent years, Vox has continued to innovate while staying true to its heritage. The company has expanded its product line to include a variety of amplifiers that cater to different needs and preferences. The Vox Valvetronix series, for instance, combines analog tube technology with digital modeling to offer a wide range of tones and effects. The Vox Mini Superbeetle, a compact amp with vintage styling, pays homage to the classic design while incorporating modern features like Bluetooth connectivity.
One of the most significant innovations in modern Vox amps is the introduction of the Nutube technology. Developed in collaboration with Korg, Nutube is a new type of vacuum tube that offers the same warm, rich tones as traditional tubes but with greater efficiency and reliability. This technology has been incorporated into several Vox models, including the MV50 series, which delivers powerful tube-like sound in an ultra-compact form factor.
Conclusion
The evolution of Vox amplifiers is a testament to the company's commitment to quality, innovation, and timeless sound. From the vintage classics that defined the sound of the 1960s to the modern innovations that continue to push the boundaries of amplifier technology, Vox has remained at the forefront of the music industry. Whether you're a seasoned professional or an aspiring guitarist, Vox amps offer a rich legacy of tone and performance that continues to inspire musicians around the world.

Complete Guide to Flash Crashes: Understanding, Preventing, and Learning from Market Shocks

Flash crashes are among the most startling phenomena in financial markets. They represent sudden, rapid drops in market prices, often followed by an equally rapid recovery. Whether you're an investor, a trader, or simply curious about financial markets, understanding flash crashes can equip you with valuable insights into their causes, consequences, and prevention.
What is a Flash Crash, and Why Should You Care?
A flash crash occurs when the price of an asset or index plummets dramatically within minutes, disrupting market stability. These incidents, driven by factors like algorithmic trading and high-frequency trading (HFT), have become more frequent in today’s tech-driven financial landscape.
Real-World Example: Indian Stock Market Flash Crash (2012)
In October 2012, the NSE Nifty 50 experienced a sharp decline of 900 points within seconds. The cause? A mistaken trade by an institutional trader triggered automated sell orders, sending the market into a tailspin. While the market recovered quickly, it highlighted vulnerabilities in India's trading ecosystem.
What Causes Flash Crashes?
Flash crashes are often the result of a perfect storm of technological and human factors. Here are the primary culprits:
1. Algorithmic Trading and High-Frequency Trading (HFT)
Algorithms execute trades at lightning speed, responding to market conditions. While they enhance liquidity, they can also amplify volatility. For example, during the 2010 Flash Crash, algorithmic trades intensified the sell-off, causing the Dow Jones to drop 1,000 points in minutes.
2. Lack of Liquidity
When there aren’t enough buyers to match sellers, prices can nosedive. Liquidity gaps were a key factor in the 2012 NSE Flash Crash, as automated systems failed to absorb sell orders.
3. Technical Glitches
System malfunctions or rogue algorithms can trigger crashes. In 2019, a glitch in HDFC Bank's trading system caused sharp price swings in several Indian stocks.
Famous Flash Crashes in History
1. The 2010 Flash Crash
On May 6, 2010, the Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged nearly 1,000 points in minutes before rebounding. Investigations revealed that a trader, Navinder Singh Sarao, had manipulated the market using a technique called "spoofing."
2. Black Monday (1987)
One of the earliest recorded flash crashes, Black Monday saw the Dow Jones fall by 22% in a single day. While this predated algorithmic trading, it showcased how market psychology and lack of circuit breakers can fuel volatility.
3. India’s Mini Flash Crashes
January 2020: Reliance Industries experienced a sharp intraday drop due to an influx of sell orders.
April 2021: HDFC Bank’s stock faced sudden volatility caused by erroneous algorithmic trades.
How Algorithmic Trading Drives Flash Crashes
Algorithmic trading dominates modern markets, enabling rapid decision-making based on data. However, this speed can backfire:
1. Amplification of Sell-offs
Algorithms often follow trends, amplifying sell-offs during a panic. In India's 2012 Flash Crash, automated systems cascaded sell orders, worsening the drop.
2. Lack of Human Oversight
Automated systems lack emotional judgment, leading to irrational outcomes. For example, HFT firms have been blamed for destabilizing markets during crises.
The Role of Trading Tools
Platforms like Strike.money help investors monitor market conditions and set automated stop-losses, reducing the risk of flash crashes impacting their portfolios.
Impact of Flash Crashes on Investors and Markets
Flash crashes disrupt markets, erode investor confidence, and cause financial losses. Here’s how they affect different stakeholders:
1. Retail Investors
Retail investors often suffer the most. For instance, during the 2010 Flash Crash, many stop-loss orders triggered at artificially low prices, locking in losses.
2. Institutional Investors
While institutions recover faster, they face reputational and operational risks. For example, in the 2012 NSE Flash Crash, brokers faced scrutiny for their role in the sell-off.
3. Market Stability
Flash crashes shake confidence in market reliability. Studies show that such incidents reduce liquidity and increase spreads for weeks, impacting overall efficiency.
How Do Regulators Prevent Flash Crashes?
Regulators worldwide have introduced measures to mitigate flash crashes:
1. Circuit Breakers
These are mechanisms that halt trading if prices move beyond a predefined threshold. In India, the NSE and BSE implement circuit breakers to prevent excessive volatility.
2. Monitoring Algorithmic Trading
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) mandates pre-approval for trading algorithms and has introduced penalties for market manipulation.
3. Real-Time Surveillance
Regulators use advanced systems to monitor unusual trading patterns. For example, SEBI’s Integrated Surveillance System tracks anomalies in real-time.
Flash Crash vs. Market Correction: Key Differences
A flash crash is a sudden, short-lived drop, while a market correction is a gradual decline of 10% or more over weeks or months.
Example: Indian Context
Flash Crash: The 2012 Nifty plunge, driven by errant trades.
Market Correction: The March 2020 market decline due to COVID-19 fears.
Key differences include speed, recovery time, and underlying causes.
Lessons for Investors from Flash Crashes
Flash crashes can be unnerving, but they also offer valuable lessons for investors:
1. Use Stop-Loss Orders Wisely
While stop-losses protect against big losses, they can backfire during flash crashes. Platforms like Strike.money allow you to set conditional stop-losses that account for price volatility.
2. Avoid Panic Selling
Reacting emotionally to a flash crash often leads to selling at the worst time. Staying informed and relying on data-driven tools can help.
3. Diversify Your Portfolio
Diversification minimizes the impact of sudden crashes on your overall investments.
Future of Financial Markets: Will Flash Crashes Continue?
As markets become more reliant on technology, flash crashes remain a concern. However, advancements in AI, better regulations, and tools like Strike.money are helping mitigate risks.
What’s Next?
Stronger Regulations: Enhanced oversight of algorithmic trading.
Improved Technology: AI-driven tools to predict and prevent crashes.
Increased Investor Awareness: Educating traders about risks and safeguards.
Conclusion: Navigating the Era of Flash Crashes
Flash crashes highlight the vulnerabilities of modern financial markets. By understanding their causes and using tools like Strike.money, investors can better prepare for these market shocks. Whether you're a seasoned trader or a beginner, staying informed and proactive is key to navigating today’s volatile markets.

I set up the circuit — the telephone microphone into a mini amplifier, that into my MFOS Echo Rockit for modulated filtering and echo production, and its output into a little Honeytone amp, which I am listening to with headphones — before I realized that I didn't have anything in particular to say into the handset. So for the last fifteen minutes or so I've been standing here reading the ingredients lists from Oreos and cooking spray and the warning labels from glue packaging just to listen to the swooping echoes.
I worry that there's a greater metaphor here.

Rising Demand for Class D Audio Amplifier Led by Rising Usage of Smartphones
The class D audio amplifier is projected to rise in the coming years. The audio amplifiers are used for reproducing the input audio signals at sound-producing output elements, with desired power levels and volume at low distortion.

Audio frequencies usually range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, so the amplifier gives a good frequency response in this range. Power capabilities vary massively relying on the application, from milliwatts in headphones to a few watts in PC audio or TV, to tens of watts for mini home stereos for automotive audio and mini home stereos, to hundreds of watts or more for powerful commercial and home sound systems.
A direct implementation of analog involves an audio amplifier to utilize transistors in linear mode to develop an output voltage, that is concerned with as input voltage copy. The forward voltage gains primarily high. If the feedback loop involves forward gain, then the overall loop gain is high.
Feedback is also utilized for improving performance in high loop gain. It involves suppressing distortion caused by nonlinearities in reducing the power supply noise and forward path, by increasing the power-supply rejection.
In a conventional transistor amplifier, the transistors supply instantaneous continuous output current in the output stage. There are numerous possible implementations for audio systems, such as Classes A, AB, and B. The output stage dissipates large power compare to Class D designs. The difference offers major advantages of Class D in various applications due to lower power dissipation that produces less heat and saves space, cost, and circuit board, with increasing the life span of the battery in portable systems.
Linear-amplifier output stages are used for directly connecting to the speaker. The bipolar junction transistors usually operate in the linear mode, if utilized in the output stage. The output stage involves MOS transistors implementation.
The class D modulators' implementation in various ways, supports a massive quantity of relevant research and intellectual property.
All the Class D modulation techniques involve encoding information on an audio signal into a pulse stream. Usually, the pulse widths are connected to audio signal amplitude, and the pulse spectrum includes undesired high-frequency content and desired audio signal.
The total power in the time-domain waveforms is similar, it results in the same total integrated high-frequency power in all schemes. This energy is shaped for the elimination of the tones, with a higher noise floor.
The major players operating in the industry are; Texas Instruments Incorporated, Infineon Technologies AG, ROHM Co. Ltd., NXP Semiconductors N.V., Analog Devices Inc., STMicroelectronics N.V., and Monolithic Power Systems Inc.
Therefore, the demand for class D audio amplifiers is rising due to the high capacity for amplifying low-amplitude sound signals to higher-amplitude sound signals and increasing the battery life of devices in which they are used.

STEREO CONTACT MICROPHONE PREAMP

The METSÄÄN STEREO CONTACT MICROPHONE PREAMP is a based on a ‘CHARGE AMPLIFIER’ circuit, which is commonly used in industrial grade measurement devices, such as ionizing radiation meters or X-ray detectors, it is also used in digital camera sensors. Compared to regular high impedance preamps, this one has the advantage of much less hum being added to the signal, even when used with longer cables. Plus it seems to have a much wider frequency response (at least to the ones i have previously used, i have to add). More scientific explanations can be found here. Throughout my time with experimental music, i have not found a contact mic preamp that worked this good and i have build quite a few, based on different circuit designs. Using a preamp for piezo contact mics has the benefit of better frequency response, because it is very uneven with piezos, as the higher frequencies are much more prominent, than the low end and the 'natural’ sound of them is very tinny (something which seems to not bother many).
The METSÄÄN MACHINE is housed in black a barebones PCB material sandwich, with it’s circuitry and battery in between and the solderpoints at the bottom protected by a handcut transparent acrylic layer. The design on the upper side shows a pylon occupied by protestors, who attempt to protect parts of the south american rainforest from electrification and colonialism. The bottom side shows and unfinished high rise building in Lima. On front of the device we find the two 3.5mm inputs for the left and right contact mics and on the back end, a 3.5mm stereo output and a 2.1mm DC (9-12V) Power connector [WARNING! FIRE HAZARD! Only use the DC power connector when the battery is disconnected.] A mini ON/OFF slide switch for each channel is accessible from the open sides, to be able to only power one of the preamps, when the other is not in use, preventing uneccessary battery drainage. Power per channel is indicated by UV LEDS on top of the device and the GAIN control can be adjusted on the flush top surface with the help of a fingernail or small screwdriver (so it does not accidentally change the levels during recording). The memory of the observer [Ch2]
Here’s chapter two! I’m really happy about how much the first chapter was appreciated! Hope you guys will enjoy this one as well! ^^ Also a special thanks to my friend @ceaderblocks for helping me fix errors! <3
[AO3]
---
They wanted to ask.
Oh, they wanted to ask so badly.
Grian could see it on their faces, especially Mumbo's.
How long did it last this time?
What were you doing when it happened?
Did you remember anything else?
Those were the golden questions.
He hoped they wouldn't find the courage to ask them, he wasn't feeling like answering right now… and he wouldn't have liked to lie to them about the time part. Telling them that he had just lost an hour would have only caused more concerns for a problem they couldn't fix.
He played dumb. Pretending not to notice Mumbo's constant fidgeting with his ring or Iskall's hesitation whenever he spoke.
He checked his watch. 4:35 PM
It had been a while since all three of them had been together in the same room. Grian had been busy with the hippie commune. His plan to get his time machine and villager Grian back was talking a lot more time than expected. He should have just broken inside the facilities when he had the chance.
Mumbo and Iskall were spending more and more time on their villager trading competition, but they managed to work on Sahara too. They upgraded the redstone circuit, made a new interface and were almost done with Sahara Now. Grian almost felt like they were working harder than he was and that they were accomplishing more things. He didn't do much for the project lately, other than the building that now hosted Sahara Now and the little stand of golden carrots at Hermitland.
Iskall was talking about the lock system he had in mind for the Sahara Now. It sounded very cool, but he couldn’t help with it. He was getting better with redstone but was still pretty much useless compared to the other two. Mumbo was mostly silent during this conversation. It looked like he was about to ask something but decided against it a few times.
Grian just wanted a normal, fun meeting. Even if that looked kinda unlikely right now.
He shouldn’t have told them it happened again before coming. They would have had a suspect but it wouldn't have been this bad… maybe.
He checked his watch again.
4:40 PM.
He didn't really need to know the time, but he had found much easier to keep track of his space outs if he always knew what time it should be. Looking at him it gave the impression that he was always waiting for something.
He technically was. He was waiting for the next inevitable realization that had gotten lost inside his own head.
He was losing hope in his first idea that ignoring the problem would be the best option. There was no way of stopping his mind from going astray and it appeared to be happening more and more often and for longer length of time. There were also other concerning things that were starting to occur. Things that he didn’t share with the others yet… And he really didn't want to share them at this point. They always seemed too concerned to actually have a good time with him lately.
"Grian?" Mumbo's voice came out hesitant.
Oh, please no.
The watch pointed 4:41 PM. No space out, which meant…
"I'm sorry, I need to know. Are you feeling alright-"
"Yes I am." He said, too quickly and harshly for it to sound natural.
Mumbo went quiet again. He looked like he was sorry he had even asked.
Grian felt immediately awful.
"Sorry..." he started looking away from Mumbo. "It's just that… You two keep looking at me like I'm a timebomb or something." He sighed and looked back up at his friends.
Mumbo looked sorrier than before while Iskall looked down at his own hands on the table, clearly, they thought Grian wouldn't notice.
"We're just worried for you." said Iskall.
"You… don't really talk much lately." Added Mumbo.
Grian signed and leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms tightly. Of course he didn't talk much lately, almost every hermit just wanted to know about what was going on in his head.
"Because It's useless. It's just gonna make you even more worried." He said bitterly.
"I wish we could just ignore my problems and have fun."
"I think we are more worried not knowing than knowing, Grian." Iskall stood up from his chair and moved closer to Grian's chair.
"You are our friend, we can't ignore your problems."
Grian wished they could. He looked at the side for a moment then back at Iskall and then Mumbo.
"We want to help you." Said the Redstoner.
"That's the problem, you can't do anything to help," Grian replied. "It's not like you can build a machine that keeps me from disassociate!"
"I know we can't, but maybe… we can just talk" Mumbo stood up as well.
Grian suddenly felt really small. A familiar sensation amplified by the fact that he was sitting down while his friends, already taller than him, were both now standing up.
"Sure, it's not a solution, but wouldn't it be better to talk about what's going on instead of scuttling away and avoiding the conversation every time?"
Grian looked at his friends. Their expressions were soft and full of worry and affection for him. He didn't like being the cause of all their distress.
He sighed heavily, pressing his palms on his eyes.
That moment of darkness helped him a little.
He took his hands off his face and saw his friends again, expectantly waiting for his reply.
"Fine…"
Mumbo immediately smiled a very hopeful smile. Iskall smiled too, but looked more like he didn't really expect him to agree. Grian didn't expect that from himself either.
"I will talk more about how I'm doing.. but-" He wasn't actually sure on what to add, he was mostly trying to prepare himself on what he should say. He cleared his throat. "First off. Sit down, you're making me feel like a kid scolded by his parents."
They quickly did as he said. Good.
"I swear I'm going to build a taller chair." He saw a small grin form on his friend's faces. This felt a little better, their expressions were less concerned. They still had all their attention on Grian, but that was expected.
"Second-" He took one last moment of preparing. "Don't expect me to tell you everything right away… I- uhm.. somethings I’d rather tell you… later." He saw the concern build again on their expressions, but they nodded accepting this condition.
" And- When we are done talking...please treat me normally... Even if I space out in the middle of something."
"We promise, right Mumbo?" Iskall said. Mumbo quickly nodded.
"We will." Mumbo agreed. He sounded sure of his words. Something that was happening rather rarely lately.
Grian took a deep breath.
"Okay… what do you want to know...?"
"How are you feeling?" Mumbo asked without hesitation. It was the question that started this whole conversation, and in the end, it was almost obvious that that would have been the first question.
"Oh boy. That's the complicated one…" murmured Grian. Putting words to all he was feeling lately wasn't really easy. He couldn't say ‘fine’ that would have been a lie. He couldn't say ‘bad’ because that would have been a little... vague. He picked a word that seemed to fit just enough.
"I'm feeling.. annoyed."
Iskall raised an eyebrow and Mumbo looked a little confused.
"Annoyed because of everyone's concerns with me. Annoyed because I- I don't get it. One moment I'm having a good time and the next my head just stops working." His tone grew very angry at first. Then it softened.
"It's frustrating. It's...It's scary."
He looked down at an unspecified place between the table and the ground. Then at his watch which he had learned every single detail about after so many times looking at it. It pointed to 4:50 PM.
"I can't control it and that's scary."
He kept looking at his watch, following the second's hand moving around.
"Do you..." Mumbo started.
Grian looked back up at him.
Boy, did he suck at hiding how much he was worried. Iskall looked a little more...thoughtful than worried instead.
"Do you have any idea what might trigger it?"
Grian shook his head.
"I have no idea whatsoever. It's... mostly random I think?" He tried to think about it, trying not to focus too much on the details.
"Some words said in a certain way. Things you guys say, things I say... seeing certain blocks or builds... walking through nether portals..."
"Oh no! Mini doesn't have a buddy!" He heard his friend say in a jokingly sad tone.
He shook his head again, then looking at the watch. 4:57 PM.
He looked at his friends. This was a short one, they didn't notice.
Iskall frowned.
"You said you remember things when it happens, what sort of things did you remember?" He asked.
Bits and pieces.
Random information that he didn't know where to put. Words. Feelings.
Block combinations that he didn’t really like.
Shapeless structures that he would never build.
Familiar voices that didn't have a face or name yet.
He looked at the watch's hands moving. 4:59 PM.
"I.. I remember that I once had a base made out of snow." He started. He had already told this to Stress once, but it was the thing he remembered better for now.
The supposed base he once had.
A block combination appeared in his mind like a recipe to complete his memory.
"Snow, Stone, and Clay. I remember the feeling of always needing more resources because it was so big and it was never completed." He tried to add more details to that little memory, a shape, a place, a feeling.
"It was… very isolated."
"Why do people keep building stuff in my base!!" Grian said exasperated as he looked at the statue in his garden. A little chicken made out of wood and wool.
Next to it two signs read:
"Thought you might need some friends all the way out here! Take care of Jeff, Paul & Sophie. -Mini"
He looked at his side to see two more chicken statues. With a grimace, he took his axe out of his inventory. He didn't need these silly things. He needed his base to be beautiful and perfect as he envisioned!
"I don't want these at all." He muttered, annoyed. He took off his friend's message first.
His base felt rather cold compared to the others, full of messages and goofy gifts.
That was the price to pay to have it how he wanted it. It was okay.
A firm hand shook him lightly on the shoulder. He blinked his eyes a few times, seeing Iskall and Mumbo close to him. Soft expressions of worry and a little relief greeted him as he came back.
The watch pointed 5:34 PM.
Grian pressed his eyes with the palm of his hands, the frustration build up in his chest. He wanted to curse, to just take his elytra and fly away to yell at a wall in his base. To get away from his friend's need to care for him. Then he felt his eyes get watery. He rubbed them in an attempt to stop the tears from escaping. It probably would have been more successful if Mumbo and Iskall weren't watching him now.
"I'm sorry..." Why couldn’t they stop caring about him? That would have been easier.
"Hey, it's okay. You don't have to apologize." Iskall said. His grip still on Grian's shoulder became less firm and more like a comforting pat.
"It's not your fault." Mumbo said softly.
Grian took his palms off his eyes, the tears were not coming out but it must have been pretty clear to his friends how close they were to.
Mumbo hugged him tightly.
It felt warm, comforting.
Grian closed his eyes and hugged his friend back.
He was glad they cared.
Even if it made some things more difficult.
---
Grian stepped through the portal. He looked at the mapped floor of the nether hub and calmly made his way to the tunnel for Hermitville.
Talking about feelings and crying was very tiring apparently. Not that he regretted his conversation with the other two Architech's, it was needed even if painful to go through, and now they seemed… calmer? Now that they knew that Grian would talk more about his problems at least.
It was an improvement.
They would probably have another meeting soon…
Hopefully, they would talk more about Sahara and less about Grian.
Now he wanted to just get to his RV at the hippie commune and go to sleep. There was a lot of work that needed to be done but he couldn’t be bothered right now with it. All he felt like doing now was sleeping. He would start fresh tomorrow.
He noticed some movement in the corner of his eye as he arrived at the tunnel.
He turned to see someone flying away. They must have been busy to pass in such a hurry. They were gone so fast that Grian wasn't able to tell who it was.
He shrugged, it was for the best anyway. He had done enough talking for the day. He opped in his boat and hummed a little tune as he made his way through the long tunnel for the new lands.
It was getting close to sunset when he got out of the nether. The sky wasn't quite orange yet but it was getting near it. He took to the sky and watched the pinkish hues in the clouds as he reached the hippie commune. He landed perfectly in the center of the RV circle, next to the campfire.
He heard a low humming coming from the garden, Ren must have been busy picking up crops.
He yawned and sat next to the fire. Usually, they would have music playing non-stop here, it was fun and a childish way to annoy Doc and Scar in Area 77. He guessed that Ren must have been tired of it because the stereo was turned off. It was nice to enjoy the quiet.
He closed his eyes and let his back fall on the grass.
He laid there for a while, playing with a single grass string from the little patch under his palm. He didn't really think about anything in particular. He concentrated on the atmosphere that surrounded him. The sound of the fire cracking, the leaves moving with the wind, the water rushing down from the garden, Ren's humming, the smell of flowers, of the smoke of the fire, of the giant mushrooms around him.
He needed to be careful to not fall asleep right there. He had already taken a few naps on different occasions by accident. He opened his eyes and looked at the sky. The orange had settled in the sky as the sunset arrived at its peak.
The sound of footsteps came from the side. He lazily turned his head in the direction of the sound and saw Ren coming out of the garden. Ren didn't notice Grian right away, he was still humming his little tune and not really looking at the campfire. He rubbed his hands against his pants, trying to get some of the dirt off them.
Grian raised a hand and waved lightly.
"Hey, Ren."
Ren looked in his direction and smiled as he saw Grian waving.
"Hey man! Are you taking a nap over there?” He asked with a little grin making his way from the garden’s entrance to the campfire.
“Maaaybe,” Grian chuckled. “I was just enjoying the atmosphere… It’s quite different without music.”
“Yeah, we need a new stereo actually.” Grian raised an eyebrow.
“What happened to the old one?” He asked.
Ren shrugged. A few pink petals fell from his flower crown.
“I don’t know, man. Yesterday it worked just fine while this morning it was completely fried. I swear smoke came out when I tried to turn it on.” He frowned and leaned a little forward, looking down at Grian and blocking his view of the orange sky a little.
“Maybe we kept it on for too long.”
“Or maybe Scar finally snapped and sabotaged our stereo!” Grian suggested jokingly.
Ren laughed at the thought of Scar sneaking in the commune at night just to break the stereo. Unlikely but if true would have just meant that the Area 77 guys needed to change their priorities. More petals from Ren’s little crown fell, this time on Grian’s face. He dusted them off with his hand.
“You need some new flowers there.”
“You do too, but don’t worry! Ren’s got you covered!”
Ren reached for something in his inventory while Grian touched his own flower crown. The flowers crumpled a little under his touch, he hadn’t changed it in a while, now that he thought about it. He had forgotten.
He looked at Ren as he pulled out a freshly made flower crown. It was made of bright red poppies. Grian smiled.
“We can’t be good hippies without nice and fresh flowers in our hair!” He passed the flower crown to his friend.
“I remember you said the poppies were your favorites, right?” Grian nodded as he looked at the crown in his hands. Something about it made him so happy, it was a nice gift and it was his favorite flower. He loved it.
“Thank you, Ren.“
“You’re welcome, my dude.” A low buzz came from Ren’s communicator. He took a quick look and then put it back in his pocket.
“Gotta go now, I’ll see you later!” He took a handful of rockets out of his inventory and a few moments later he was gone. The sky was slowly letting go of his orange shade now, stars were starting to appear.
Grian should have stood up and went to bed at this point.
But he stayed on the grass.
Just a little more.
He watched his gift carefully. The lovely red shade of the petals that felt so soft against his fingers. The familiar shape of that simple little flower.
The poppies were his favorites.
A little doubt came into his mind.
Why was it the Poppies?
“Here they are!” He said cheerfully as he found a little patch of them.
He carefully picked the red flowers from the ground, trying not to ruin their roots. He smiled excitedly as he looked at them.
Four poppies.
Would they be enough?
He hoped so. He felt lucky today.
He made his way back to his base jumping from block to block. He passed next to his train station and arrived at his destination. A little platform that was slightly higher than ground level. With a friendly and familiar face on it, made out of stone and black wool.
There was a line of poppies at its base.
Grian looked at the friendly face and smiled.
“C’mon, today’s gotta be the day.”
He picked the flower that seemed the best, the brightest and the best shape and smell. This was the lucky flower.
He held his breath and planted it next to others.
He waited expectantly but...
Nothing happened.
His heart sank a little.
He waited a few more minutes. Maybe the flower wasn’t good enough? Maybe he liked dandelions better? He sighed and sat on the grass of the platform, looking at the line of flowers gently move with the breeze.
“Maybe tomorrow..” He looked up at the stone.
“Right?”
Grian was looking up at the moon and the stars, now clear to see as the sky was at it’s darkest point.
His vision was slightly blurry. At first, he didn’t understand why.
He blinked a few times and felt tears make their way down his cheeks.
He didn’t understand why he couldn’t stop crying.

Locating Perfect Speakers
There are lots of actions to finding the ideal speakers to satisfy your music needs. There are all sorts of stereos that may generate a surround audio that is high-def. Possessing the speakers may also be significant to event or DJs planners who desire them for events or meetings.

You can find a couple things which constitute a fantastic speaker from Audiophilez; among those things is the watt. Watts has a whole lot to do with summit flowering. The maximum quality speakers possess a maximum thickness of 3.7 inches. Another element that makes a audio that is fantastic is your aluminum woofer. For top excellent audio, the aluminum woofer must be at least eight inches (that is also great for producing heavy bass in audio ). If the customer is considering making use of a speaker to make a house entertainment audio (surround sound components ), it's a great idea to put money into a speaker bundle.
Speaker packs arrive with a number of mini-speakers that may create the capacity to make a surround sound and deep bass effects. A audio and video recipient may be utilized to power the subwoofer. The majority of the top speakers have a 5.1 channel audio. Twiddler drives also have a hand in producing sounds that may move air out of their enclosures. A desired size for your Twiddler pushes must be 2.5 inches.
Some speakers have built-in surround speakers. A low elevation VCS-10 is an alternative for consumers who need a speaker to sit down on top of their tv. Amplifier power has a great deal to do with this speaker's cosmetics. Amplifiers for caliber speakers have approximately 10 to 100 watts per channel driveway. Sometimes, speakers may get overworked. There should be attributes included to keep this from happening, which may make the speakers survive a lot longer. Automated protection circuits helps in preventing speakers from becoming overworked. This may also create room acoustics.
To decrease air turbulence, which may get in the way of their quality of audio, speaker slot vents should be contained from the speakers by producer. Consumers must also be mindful to use the right gauge of cable for the space between the speakers and the amplifier. Some speakers include mounting brackets, making it effortless to incorporate speaker wires and/or wires. It's also a fantastic idea to invest in a set of speakers that add a user's guide and self-adhesive rubberized feet.
