Adventurers know that — once the mana has been used up and the potions have been drunk and there are still bleeding wounds to heal — your last option, the absolute last option is to sleep.

You shouldn’t do this, they say. This isn’t reliable and it’s a very, very bad idea to sleep if you’re heavily injured. But, they say, but — sometimes, very rarely, an adventurer with a bleeding belly who goes to sleep in the bowels of the dungeon wakes up rested and restored. Bones are set. Flesh is mended. A miracle!

Very few know why this is. Humans and halflings and dwarves have their own theories — that the gods of sleep and dreams sometimes give their blessing to the sleeping, tend to their wounds in the night when magic is at its strongest.

Elves — who can sleep, but choose not to — know better.

Because the sleeping world has its own busy, buzzing ecosystem. Dusty oneroi flutter through the night on moth wings and feed on the salty sweat and tears of the sleeping, pollinating their minds with dreamstuff. Baku slink through the dark, shoulders moving with the liquid menace of tigers on the prowl. Nightmares scuttle in search of sleeping brains to torment.

And then there are the sandmen.

Humans and halflings and dwarves know about the sandmen and their bags of anesthetic golden sand.

They don’t know about their golden needles.

And the golden forceps.

And the golden bonesaw.

And every night the sandmen ooze through the dungeons, seeking wounded adventurers to mend. Nobody knows what the sandmen get out of this. Nobody knows how they select their patients. Nevertheless, in the dark, they dutifully ply their trade.

In the dark, the dungeons fill with butcher sounds.

Elves can sleep. They choose not to. They know better.

@beezonia comes up with the coolest AUs and designs. I’m always blown away by their Pokémon team compositions — they’re spot on to the point I consider it its own form of character analysis!

@purplecatghostposts is the genius who showed up out of the blue and took us all by surprise with their amazing prose. Soap, reminder that the reference to Copycat in consider the spare legally binds you to pay for my therapy.

@trishacollins is single-handedly remediating to the lack of platonic bedsharing between the cousins and I can’t thank her enough! She’s also one of the chillest and most approachable people I know.

@luckychatons is our favourite entrepunpurr and constantly lifts our mood with the cutest, most joy-filled sketches! Patting her OCs on the back because they sure need it.

@graythegreyt is such an awesome artist you’d almost forget they’re also one hell of a poet who wields mythological references like Odysseus wields his bow. Did you know they wrote me a poem inspired by God Games? I think everyone should know they wrote me a poem inspired by God Games.

@hartwign is a talented translator and draws hair like no one else. Seriously. I want to run my hands through the cousins’ hair and nestle in there forever.

@phieillydinyia is the picture of dedication! Can’t recommend Candle In The Wind enough, it’s a roleswap rewrite of the Miraculous movie that includes the songs. How cool is that. Thank you for your regular comments on my fics, they always make my day!

Sometimes you just need to let yourself be swept into a story, you know? Although, it did teach me a couple of writing tricks I’ve used for other fandoms!

EPIC! Wisdom Saga coming soon! 🩵🦉 It makes my little mythology nerd heart supremely happy. The music is a banger and you can feel the knowledge and passion of all the people involved in this project. Jorge in particular is always so excited to share his progress, engaging with creators, explaining his musical choices in a fun and pedagogical way… And the lyrics! It’s free real estate for a fanfic author looking for inspiration and/or titles!

I’d love to start Monte-Cristoposting like I’ve been Cyranoposting and Draculaposting, but I’m afraid of spoilers so for now I’m just screaming in your DMs. As you know. I’m also slowly getting into Honkai: Star Rail, and I’d like to pick up Pokémon Black and White again because a N character study would look great on my AO3 resume.

I was very happy to learn that Peacocks are drawn to shiny things so here’s Félix getting bird brain and swiping a bunch of shiny things, then isn’t sure what to DO with those shiny things. Duusu is very happy though!

I have done. A shocking amount of research looking up Peacock Behaviors for a funny fic about getting Bird Brain.

ok, sorry if question is a bit long and if you have answered, please put the link for me to see please. Well... what are the names of the heroes? What was each heroe's first choice? (I mean the ladybug and cat holder). I know that Marinette is with the Fox and Ivan with the turtle, but for some reason I think that if they swap it would combine more (I speak more in symbolism, ivan who cannot lie with the "miraculous of lie"). What is the weapon of each carrier? About the turtle and Ivan, I think a purplish blue would match more (that leatherback turtle). What are the camouflaged forms of each miraculous? Do you have the reason why every person has every miraculous?

A big ask, but thats okay! I'd love to answer! Note that some answers like names and weapons are subject to change, im not great with names and im less familliar with some characters than others so, opinions and other ideas are awesome :)

Boar, Boomerang (shaped like boar tusks).

Cirrus (a type of cloud, Aroure and Mirelle share the name and the miraculous), Lightning rod/ wind sock

Caprix (Play on Caprine), Chunky roller blades

Gibbon? (a type of monkey), one of those silly stretchy sticky hands

First choices are also listed there, if there isnt an alternative listed, they either had the same idea or no strong preference for a different holder. Regarding swapping holders based on symbolism (i.e. Ivan with the fox, Mari with the turtle) that would be super cool and i may draw them at some point in the future, but wouldn't fit with my au. This is because my bug and cat holders choose them based on preexisting relationships, traits, and talents.

Camouflaged forms are these:

Struggled with Alyas rabbit miraculous tbh, it doesnt quite fit with my au for it to stay a pocket watch anyway (the Rabbits power being swapped from Burrow in a time sense, to Burrow in a dig way) so i guess its normal activated form would be some kind of keychain? Alyas disguise currently is a tamogachi :)

Nino wears the mouse necklace wrapped around his wrist like a bracelet.

Max's snake bracelet turns into a smart watch.

Markovs claw connects to his existing claws, and mimics what claws he already has.

Mirelle and Aroure have similar chokers with the charm changed. Aroure has the lightning bolt, Mirelle has the rain drop. They have the chokers replicated by comission with Marinette so they can swap the actual miraculous between them when needed.

Sabrinas sunglasses are prescription. They could also be just normal glasses, no black tint, when appropriate.

Marcs ring, where rainbow, is iridescent!

The butterfly and peacock are still unavailable to our heroes.

1. This is the perfect polycule. They are all good on their own, but why separate them? They are perfect together and they would make such a healthy polycule.

2. Where to even begin? Again, they're good on their own, but together they are perfect. You have the fun and outgoing Marinette and Adrien, the cautious and vigilant Kagami, and the soft and voice of reason Luka. They would balance each other so well and they all could learn from each other. No need to fight, no angst, just happy fluff.

How does it work, you ask?

Ashes to Ashes- In an unfortunate twist of fate, Chat Noir ends up facing Monarch alone, and it ends very badly. Watch as it slowly destroys him. (Trauma is my middle name!) Marinette tries to figure out what the hell is going on. (Twisty and emotional, this fic is a bit of a wild ride. I've been told by readers that it's quite intense! And of course, I have to agree.) The Grove- Ladybug and Chat Noir spend seemingly peaceful days in an idyllic paradise that she created just for him. (Hard to talk about without spoiling it, but it's dark, bleak and depressing. But this for sure rests in my top 3 fav fics I've ever written. Emotional is a good word for it.) Read it here!

Friends who Kiss- Follows the Reverse kids after the Paris special, trying to figure out how to get along and be good guys. (Spoiler, they aren't very good at it) (Also admittedly, this one's 2 parts and I love them both. The sequel is called No more Friends who Kiss, and is linked in this fic) Read it here!

The First of Many Nights- (Mature fic) This is a oneshot where post-reveal Adrienette enjoy a very special romantic night on a private beach under a starry sky. I just love how sweet and romantic the whole thing is. <3 Read it here! (This is rated M for Mature! You have been warned.)

Sympathy Pain- (Mature fic) Ladybug and Chat Noir have always shared a magical connection. However, when they start to feel their magical connection on a more physical level, things start to get a little heated. (Or: Unknowingly, Ladybug and Chat Noir begin to feel each other's pain. And their pleasure!) Absolutely packed full of relationship drama and tension galore! (This one isn't published yet, but I had to put it on the list because I'm just so in love with this story, haha. Coming soon! (Or so I keep saying) it's been sitting at about 90% finished and begging me to wrap it up! (Life has been lifeing though)

Honorable mention: I'm working on a (Mature, and very dark) Enemies AU series and part 1 is done, and part 2-5 are planned out. And boy, I am so enamored with this AU! It doesn't have a title yet though, and I don't want to post part 1 until I have a title for the series.
