wip wednesday!

hey so it's been a long while since i've done anything and i think it's time to throw my hat back into the ring

Mirage groaned, her head pound and eye unfocused as she blinked. She rubbed her eyes, where was she? This isn't the club. Giant halls with tall pillars of white stone, velvet curtains and candelabras lit up the room. A chill ran through Mirage's spine, something felt off about this place. Sure it was pretty, but it was cold and dark, not a drip of warmth in the place. "What the hell?"

"Good. You're awake." She turned her head and there stood a tall woman, long black hair flowing down her back and grinning. "I thought you would sleep forever at this rate."

Mirage tensed, squinting her eyes and sat up more. "You're.. you're the girl in the bathroom. At the club who helped me."

The woman laughed. "I am. You can call me Xunami. Welcome to the house of Muse."

"How did I get here? Let me go!"

"Not going to happen, amiga." She purred. "Remember you agreed to come home with me tonight."

"I change my mind. I want to leave."

"Oh preciosa," Xunami chuckled, walking closer to her and hooking a finger under Mirage's chin. She forced her head up, making her look into her glowing red eyes. Those are definitely different than what she saw at the club. "You're not going anywhere. You're stuck here with me." She grinned and Mirage gasped, catching sight of her white teeth, fangs sticking out and looking sharper than any knife she's seen.

Fuck.

6 Sentence Sunday- Dark Hanahaki AU

Initially inspired by this post, thank you to @sweetlikesunflowersandhoney for pointing this out as a dark version of the Hanahaki trope and brainstorming with me!

Xunami’s face shifting to sympathy broke Mirage’s heart before she even spoke. 

“I’m flattered, honestly. You’re one of my closest friends, and that’s how I want us to keep it. You’re amazing, Miri. I know there’s another person out there that’s going to see it too.”

“Oh, um..okay.” Mirage stuttered out as she awkwardly fumbled with the hem of her shirt.

That’s not how Xunami was supposed to respond. She was supposed to agree to the date and then Mirage would be in love and happy and not be coughing up flower petals every day.

“I’m sorry, I don’t want to ruin what we already have.” Xunami said sympathetically. “But I’ll always consider you one of my best friends.” 

Mirage kept her tears at bay as she wished Xunami a good night. She couldn’t watch her walk away, instead, she ran back inside the bar.

hi sasha !!! tell me about your current wips, i’d like to meet them :) how many do you have? give me a short summary of your three most recent ones (or more, if you want !!!)

hi gi!! i'm glad you asked for three wips, because that's exactly how many i have :)

the first one is miranami (mirage + xunami), it's one i started pretty early on in the season and it's honestly really simple. lesbian au, as is true for all of my drag race wips. come for the one night stand, stay for the awkward and endearing dinner scene where they realize that their chemistry is a lot more than just physical. there's certainly room for this fic to expand from a short but sweet smut + fluff one shot, into a full-on strangers to lovers multi-chapter story.

the second one is planymphia (plane + nymphia), this one i started like, a week before the ship really took off but the seeds had already been planted. it's a short, slice of life fic where plane learns more about nymphia's culture in an effort to understand her, but gets more than she bargained for in meeting her mother... which ends in a hilarious disaster.

the third one is for a ship that's been with me for a much longer time, and that i keep near and dear to my heart. sashea (sasha + shea) one shot angst. after dating on and off for six years, they come to the conclusion that maybe "soulmates" isn't for everyone. i do intend to finish this one so i won't spoil the ending but it's a heart squeezer for sure.
