I am so frustrated by the fandom’s constant misogynoir directed towards Aabria. I truly think she is the best storyteller by miles, and when I come to spaces to express my genuine excitement and love for her campaigns, I keep seeing nitpicking that never happens to Brennan or any of the white players. (Her DM style is unique, notice I said storyteller not DM, because I think what you look for in a DM comes down to preference.) I am so grateful for her seasons, and the way she challenges my thinking in unique and beautiful ways. I just really feel like this community should be able to do better, and I think Brennan and the white players would want us to do better too.

K's overwhelming sense of justice and needing to right the world's wrongs, to "do everything, save everyone." Is so close to Evan's fear of asking the wrong question, of needing to make the right choice. They want to protect, to serve, to be useful.

In Brennan's BTS he says Evan wants to fix everything that could be wrong in the world with magic because that's what he would do.

They are in the dark, shaking hands. They are the same but they can never understand each other. I wish K understood, why it hurts Evan to be seen as something else to fix.

i'm so obsessed with brennan's interpretation of charisma for an extremely autistic-coded character being that evan gives up the anxiety about fitting in, he stops masking, and instead he leans into his blunt, matter-of-fact nature, and that serves him SO MUCH BETTER in social situations than constantly apologizing for being different

edit: going back to the previous AP, aabria pitched basically this exact idea to brennan so she should get credit too
