I helped Optimus Prime run for president against Katy Perry. He won and was elected, but I was cancelled for being misogynistic.

"the babylon bee" documents, in such a damning and ugly way, the transformation of american conservative christianity from "group that claims to value love and caring for humanity while behaving the opposite" into "group that expressly values hatred and cruelty for its own sake"
around the time it launched the babylon bee was a christian satire site that primarily satirized intra-community issues (mega church pastors, 'trendy' worship services) and occasional jabs at Teh Liberals, with equal amounts of mocking evangelicals for supporting Trump
now it's like *"I hate my wife" joke* *joke about violent immigrants* *"women be shopping" joke* *joke about trans people grooming children into a sex cult* *racist joke* *calling women sluts* *calling women fat and ugly* *rape joke* *racist joke*
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
babylon bee was always making garbage "blue hair and pronouns" type jokes but this is a whole other fucking level.
back in 2015 i was in a conservative christian homeschool group and I cannot IMAGINE being shown the above screen shots and being told they are from The most popular christian satire website. the level of naked cruelty and prejudice would have been completely shocking.

Okay, are belly button piercings "trashy," or do you just associate them with femininity, or women, or sex work and strike it down as inherently less worthy? Are 'tramp stamps' "trashy", or do you just associate them with femininity, or women, or sex work and strike it down as inherently less worthy? Is pole dance "trashy", or do you associate it with women, or sex work and strike it down as inherently less worthy?
These are examples, but I find it interesting when people link things with womanhood or femininity or - gasp! - sex work and then immediately condemn, scrutinize, and dehumanize those who even dapple a little in these things, even if it isn't for sex work or to "look trashy." It's funny how the feminine or woman is seen as trashy until proven otherwise, and it's shameful that people still hold the bias that women must prove their humanity by not "being trashy" or "acting like a hooker."

Yeah I’m sorry, if your fearmongering about a surgery is causing people to openly admit they view afab people as nothing more than incubators whose entire life must be revolve around having children, then you cannot in any way call yourself a feminist.
She literally tweeted this to me, an infertile afab person, too. Think how this shit affects me mentally. This person is essentially saying that my life and body is worthless.

saw 3D is horrendous for several reasons, most notably the violent misogyny, but for this post i want to draw your attention briefly to the fact that they made mark hoffman the self-insert character for all these disgusting fantasies of theirs. mark hoffman. the guy whose entire character motivation was murdering the man who abused and murdered his sister. the guy who has a preestablished and very compelling reason to be staunchly against misogynistic violence. that mark hoffman. they wrote that guy doing these things and went "yep, sounds legit!"
once again: please, for the love of god, do not reference this movie for ANYBODY's characterisation (lawrence is okay but on thin ice). it warps and/or ignores practically all preexisting canon for the sake of gross fantasy fulfilment.

“Why don’t people remember that Skyler and Walt were separated and in the process of getting divorced when she slept with Ted?” They do! The people who insist that it was cheating just don’t believe that a battered woman has the right to leave her husband without his permission, hope that helps <3

Just had some god-awful conversation about casual sex that included:
Typical stuff like treating sex as a morally wrong thing unless it's in a romantic context
Saying "we're not animals anymore" and having sex with no ulterior motive is "a savage act"
Saying that people who don't end up in relationships are always unhappy and they use sex to compensate
Saying women can never have sex of their own volition and actually just do it to please guys and make them want to date them.
Saying it's awful abortion being legal made people more prone to having casual sex and less prone to getting married to have it
Etc.
I think that as soon as aros will get any kind of visibility, we'll be torn to shreds by most conservatives who already hate women having bodily autonomy and sex not being used as a way to control them as much anymore.
It's truly terrifying to imagine how all these arguments could be used against my identity as an aroallo woman.

Sadly my nature and gardening posting seems to get popular with radfems which means I have to go all the way down the reblog chain blocking people and I witness some real horrible shadows passing in the deeps
Today I saw radfem posts that were like "radblr, being a misandrist alone doesn't make you a radical feminist, I agree with anti-natalism but some of y'all are too comfortable calling women 'dickriders' and 'breeders'" [not an isolated incident, i've seen terfs calling women breeders in tags at other times]
Apparently one of the dramas right now is that some radfem made a post requesting financial help because she was dealing with an unwanted pregnancy and she got a bunch of harassment by people calling her all sorts of gross, derogatory things referencing the fact that she had sex with a man incl. "dickrider"
SHUT UP ABOUT BEING THE LAST STRONGHOLD OF TRUE FEMINISM
YOU'RE LITERALLY INVENTING NEW MISOGYNISTIC SLURS

I'm going to preface this by saying that I have really complex feelings about this, and much of it is inspired by my personal experiences and a bit of learning about what other trans people experience. If I come across as messy, it is because of these reasons.
There's this unshakable feeling I have that when allies and even other trans people talk about trans people, transition and motivation for transition, and anything related to such, that there's only certain things that x type of trans person can (and should) experience and talk about.
Like, when people talk about FtMs/trans men/transmasc people, a common idea is that we're motivated to transition to game the system, to manipulate people into treating us better because we're now seen as men. A huge reason I never even bought into that idea is because, since transition (especially medical), I have been treated worse than I ever have been. Since transitioning and being on testosterone, I've been catcalled, had people insist I hand my number over, and I have to emphasize that I've never experienced these things until a couple of years ago (to clarify, this was in my real, corporeal life). I honestly can say that, while transition has saved my life and soul, I am treated worse by others than I ever had been pre-transition. However, because the idea of transmascs is that "they were victims of misogyny and they only want to escape it through transition" is popular even among some trans people, I feel like it's almost... taking something away by acknowledging that. Add to this that I'm white and that TPoC have so many experiences that intertwine with race, and that race absolutely goes into how trans people are treated.
I am not saying that my experience is the only valid or true one. I am very aware that I'm probably an outlier. However, I just notice that, time and time again, people hear what they want to hear about transness, and if people have even slightly different points of view from their experiences, it doesn't matter, or worse, those people are duplicitous and conniving.

For those who say that "TERFs aren't misogynists" : Once I saw a TERF commenting on a post about a domestic abuse case (the victim was a bisexual woman) "well, it's her fault for getting maried to a man".
As a bi woman, I felt throughly disgusted by that.
I saw a TERF say that in Last Night in Soho, Sandie, a literal sex trafficking victim, was to blame for her own trafficking because she happened to sleep with a man that she trusted. Very unsurprising but disgusting this way of thinking extends to real life too :(

Western misogynists: Wow, those Muslims are so backwards and sexist, forcing women to go out with their hair covered! I don't get what women are complaining about, that's REAL sexism over there.
Western misogynists: Anyway every woman needs a 12 step skincare routine and multiple layers of carefully applied oil to leave the house because women have to be 100% aesthetically perfect at all times. If I see a pore on a woman I will scream.

find it interesting that when terfs talk abt the poor innocent children going under the knife left and right because of trans manipulation, it’s always the widdle helpless girls that are being mutilated. because girls will always be pathetic, easily manipulated idiots that need to be protected who don’t understand how precious and holy their femininity and womanhood is. they’ll really sit there and regurgitate fundie misogyny and then act like they’re doing women a favor.
