I wish theyd expanded it to like… maybe 5-ish arcs? All of it feels fast and it works because season 1 had a (from what i remember) strong story which they built off of BUT i think what they built/the questions they posed in the first season was way too much to tackle properly in season 2 without it feeling a little unfulfilling

Thursday on Tony Hawk's American Wasteland / Soundtrack:

It was really great getting to cover "Ever Fallen In love?" by the Buzzcocks for the Tony Hawk soundtrack. We've all been fans of the Tony Hawk series for since the first release, and have always loved the music in the games. A lot of us skated before we started playing music, really it was all we did, so when Neversoft figured out how to realistically translate it into videogame form we were definitely psyched. It seems like such a great idea to actually release the soundtrack as a CD, because the list of bands has always been so good. To be part of the first official Soundtrack Release is fun, but its even better that we get to be on a disc with so many of our friends band's like My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Thrice, Saves The Day and all the others. Recording the Buzzcocks cover was a fun and unique experience. The song had a much different structure than what we normally write in, so working in a more straightforward structure was a great learning experience. So much post punk music gets lost in a maze of parts, it was an eye opener to see how powerful a song with basically 3 different parts could be.

The Tony Hawk series has always done a great job at tapping into and portraying the most potent aspects of skateboarding culture, from music to clothes to general attitude...they've always done justice to the culture. It will be fun to see how they depict the roots of skating...and I think it is a great twist to have contemporary bands doing classic songs from that era, hopefully kids who are too young to remember who originally wrote these songs will now another have a way to discover bands like the Buzzcocks and Minor Threat, Bad Brains or Black Flag. We are definitely honored to take part.
