Oh noooo~ My hand slipped and now I accidentally didn't make an actual writing post in almost two years~ Silly me! Guess I'll just post this and be on my way... (I have also realised I am not good at writing headcanons because they are too short and have no plot so have a scenario I accidentally wrote instead)

- Whether it's platonic or not, the first time you ask to cuddle is bound to be a little bit awkward- considering how Kokichi isn't very used to physical affection. Not only that, it's also a bit scary for the both of you

- Although you're smaller, you have to be the bigger person, and take the leap of faith yourself with this one. Unfortunately, Kokichi isn't really the type to act when he is unsure of himself and, when it comes to cozy affections and you in particular, well... let's just say he doesn't exactly trust himself to make the right moves- if any at all

- Is he scared? Of you? Of trusting you to be in such close proximity to him? Of you trusting him when he can barely trust himself? Of bugs? Pfft- what- uh... no? Maybe? He pleads the fifth? Actually, maybe the last one...

- When you finally ask, he is less shocked, more so confused. Rather, he thinks you're confused: why would you want to cuddle with him? Where are the cameras? Were you bribed? Blackmailed? Did Maki threaten you to do this? To tempt him with simple, comforting affection, then to pull back last minute?

- ... From the genuine look on your face, he doesn't think so. He supposes he trusts you enough to cuddle with him. You smile when he agrees, though he can still see some left-over anxiety on your face from this new situation

- The first time -the first few, in fact- he sits there, completely still, frozen, not moving, some other fourth thing that basically means stops functioning completely, as you carefully wrap your arms around him. You see, he's a little overwhelmed but won't admit it. You're pretty sure you broke him, and would move away to check on him if it wasn't for the light grip he has on your arm that revealed his real response

- You attempt to reassure him that he can cuddle back, that you weren't going to bite, but he breaks from his frozen state specifically to comment on how weird of a phrase 'I won't bite' is, and that he knows you won't, he just doesn't feel like it. It hurt you a little, but you know it's new to him and that he'll do so when he's ready

- Eventually, Kokichi realises that he can't keep not reciprocating forever, so he makes an attempt at cuddling you back... which ends with just a very awkward pat from him. He's improving! You notice, but don't comment, just giving him a smug little smile that knows you're winning him over, which he then gives back to you

- After what feels like a lifetime, and with him hyping himself up mentally for this moment, Kokichi is able to finally cuddle you back! Yay! Until he can feel himself start to get a little too comfortable in your arms, and immediately moves away, shoving you a little. No! After making him apologise for shoving you, you calm yourself and request an honest explanation as to why he is so reluctant to cuddle you, and if you should just stop

- ...Where he proceeds to immediately lie and say that yes, totally, absolutely, you should stop because you're not cool enough to cuddle him and- and-

- That's when you realise how much this is effecting him. So you calm him, putting a little bit of distance between the two of you, and ask once again if he wants to cuddle with you. He hesitates, exaggerating a little so you can't see the sincerity in his thought, and with an extended wellllll, he admits he's fine with it. He was just lying about you not being cool enough! Obviously!

- Then the two of you just sit there. Silent. Waiting for something you’re uncertain will happen, something Kokichi hasn't figured out yet. Until it occurs to him. Oh!

- ...

- Oh-

- Another hesitation. The silence continues. A hand outstretches a slither of an amount, then curling back into himself. Patiently, you wait, not making the first move. Kokichi takes a small breath in: maybe he is scared. Just a little bit. He stares at his hands, then at you. Slowly, and cautiously, he engulfs you in his arms and allows himself to relax- to trust you and himself

a/n: might make a 1 and 2 vers. !! naur I did a few light puns in a few of them if you spot them tell me. under the cut cause it’s kinda long

Shuichi

➼ he’s so sweet

➼ he prioritizes you fully! he gives you the blankets, the snacks, he lets you choose the movie; he does everything.

➼ even if he sits on the sofa cold, hungry, and terribly quiet.

➼ he doesn’t complain a bit.

➼ you notice him shivering slightly a couple minutes into the movie, and even after he protested against getting a half in your luxury, you snuggled against him and buried him under the warm covers.

➼ once you did, he whimpered slightly against you. it just felt so nice. not the fluffy sheets, not the delectable food, and even though the movie was pretty great, you next to him really made the experience better.

➼ he moved closer next to you, kissing you on the cheek. you made him kiss you on the lips after.

➼ the movie run ends with cuddling and tangled arms and legs, overall super fluffy.

Kokichi

➼ large pillow forts with lots of soft pillows and thick blankets. he turns the ac and all the coolers on just so it’ll turn super cold in the house, leading you to bury yourself under the blankets and cuddle closer to him.

➼ he sometimes teases you by stealing the snacks and blankets, making you pissed off and subconsciously pinning him to the carpet floor.

➼ he tries turning the simple, pure movie night into a netflix and chill i SWEAR

➼ he flips the tables and climbs on top of you - kissing you lightly on the lips with a smug look. ➼ and then he gets up and goes back to watching the movie like nothing happened

➼ anyways, if he’s not in that mood, he’s very chatty during movies. ➼ he’ll comment nonstop and predict the future with pretty accurate predictions.

➼ kisses, smooth; non - pushover pick - up lines, basically everything you’d expect from a good gushy mushy date.

➼ he likes playing with your hair. tangles, small braids, etc. if you don’t have hair, then / another option for him is he runs his hands down your arms and hands.

➼ he draws small patterns on your skin with his fingers while kissing you on the head.

➼ he loves it when you do it to him as well, so by all means, go ahead !!

➼ he’s tense during the movie. but with a few calming, reassuring words - he calms down a bit and attempts to kiss you as a sign of thanks.

➼ oh he also looks up on his mental search engine how to act normal and such and comes across the term of ‘activities’ during watching movies / shows

➼ and then he overheats for a bit (thankfully while you were in the bathroom -)

➼ he likes it when you braid his hair. with any other person he’d kinda just be like ehhh, but when it’s you …

➼ he’s pretty chill, doesn’t really talk except for the parts when either you’re talking, something’s factually wrong, or when something especially pisses him off (usually when the characters are especially dumb).

➼ he likes having his hands free, so, of course, you have the blanket and snacks.

➼ because of his overall bulky, tall structure - you’re gonna need a few more blankets to cover him.

➼ and a lotta snacks if he’s especially hungry

➼ he’s the type of guy to watch smth like a bug’s life or the bee movie. and you’ll agree because he’ll be self - conscious of himself if you don’t.

➼ it’s either that or bug documentaries. he hates horror films, especially if it has bugs in it that are thoroughly portrayed incorrectly.

➼ he gets so angry it’s almost funny

➼ until you don’t calm him down and he goes to storm the director’s / producer’s place then uh good luck

Kaito

➼ tries to be romantic and kinda fails.

➼ the whole mood is sorta goofy. comedy / horror / sci - fi def. if it’s horror though, expect him to scream loudly and cling to you. and then for him to make up an excuse like, “i wasn’t scared! i was just … amazed by the stars in the sky in the film! so … spread out!”

➼ if it’s sci - fi, it’s definitely ET

➼ he cries softly when ET dies. and then he says, “I JUST GOT SOMETHING IN MY EYE WAHHH”

➼ comedy’s chaotic, but pretty fun with him. he tries so hard not to laugh, but when he does, his LaUgh

➼ it depends. it either sounds like a hyena crossed with a donkey or just a hysterical, soft sound.

➼ either way, movie nights with him are always a blast.

Ryoma

➼ he’s smooth. and he predicts the movie in his head, and shows barely emotion during sad, emotional, funny, or romantic moments. like none at all.

➼ but once he gets used to being with you during movies and finding out what exactly you like, he starts showing bits of emotion here and there.

➼ like outward pity. and sadness. and laughter.

➼ sharing is caring when it comes to blankets and snacks. sometimes when both of you reach into the bag / bowl / plate / etc. at the same time, and y’know your hands touch? he’ll squeeze your hand and bring it up to kiss it.

➼ SOME CHEEZY THING LIKE THAT

➼ and then he’ll just smile slightly at you. no matter what reaction you have.

category: one shot, hurt-to-comfort, fluff synopsis: you think you’ve caught your boyfriend kokichi ouma in a devastating lie. turns out, it was just a prank, but this still doesn't sit well with you. how could he lie about something so serious?

you watched kokichi scroll through his phone on the couch beside you, casually flipping past various apps as part of his routine. it wasn't until you saw him texting someone else that your eyes couldn't help but veer towards his screen. you didn't want to come off as too overbearing or possessive, but it was becoming hard to shrug off. you had front row seats to the ongoing message exchange between kokichi and this unfamiliar person. it probably wouldn't have been that big of a deal on a normal occasion, but something inside of you told you to worry.

you felt your heart thump loudly against your ribcage as your gaze darted away from the screen. was it right to be this concerned? you bit your tongue and took a quick peek at what the messages said.

the first one at the top was from the other person: "i miss you, my love” a wave of shock crashed over you before you could fully process anything, but your eyes kept going. the message right below it was somehow even worse.

"when are you going to come back to me and stop hanging out with that dumb bitch y/n?"

your eyes filled with horror. you couldn't help trembling at the words on your boyfriend’s screen.

kokichi quickly swiveled his head towards you with the audacity to have a huge smirk on his face. he was already in the process of responding with a heart at the end of his message but your eyes were too glossy with tears to read any of the words attached to the message.

your hurt feelings spilled out before you could control them. "kokichi, how could you do this? i thought i could actually trust you, but you betrayed me. how long have you been talking to someone else?!" you tried to stay firm in your anger but it morphed into crushing sadness.

"woah, let me explain…” his voice immediately dripped with regret as he rushed to hold your face with both of his hands, but you batted them away from you. "please... you've already hurt me enough. why are you doing this? i'm leaving."

you held your tears in your throat as you got up from the couch and headed towards the door.

“WAIT y/n it was just a prank! i’m not talking to anyone else!” his breath quickened as he chased you, "i'm... so sorry. i took it too far didn’t i? i just thought the look on your face would be hilarious if..." his voice trailed off. it hit him that there wasn't any justification for his thoughtless prank.

as you turned the handle to leave, kokichi’s panicked voice rang closely behind you, desperately pleading for your attention. you turned to face him, hot tears starting to scrape your cheeks. “you thought my pain would be funny?” your voice cracked in disbelief. “that’s not something you play around with, kokichi. how the hell would this ever be funny?”

his big sad eyes were genuinely remorseful. he took a step closer to reach his hand out to you. “i know. i’m really sorry. i didn’t think any of it through like i should’ve. you might not believe me, but never meant to hurt you like this..” his voice trembled slightly as he spoke. “i knew you’d see my phone screen if we were sitting together on the couch. that’s why like an idiot, i thought it’d be funny i’d pretend i was talking to another person…” meanwhile you felt torn between your pain and the softer side of kokichi that you knew existed. “it’s just that… i don’t understand why you would do this,” you cried, trying to control your emotions.

he took a deep breath as he struggled to put his regret into words. “i know i’m not always the best at telling you how i feel, but i do care about you. i want to make you laugh, not cry. so please let me make it up to you…” his words were starting to pull your defensive walls down but the hurt was still fresh. “how will i know you won’t pull another hurtful prank again?” you asked, your tone cautious yet still yearning for reassurance.

kokichi took your hand gently, his tone soft and comforting. “no more thoughtless pranks. i swear… if i do it again you can kick me but, i know you won’t have to.” he chuckled a little as he spoke but his regret was still evident.

“ok,” you whispered, “but you have to show me that you mean it. and let me see the messages, because part of me is still afraid it was a real person.” kokichi nodded, handing you his phone the moment you asked. he lightly squeezed your hand. “i won’t mess up like this again. i’ll be there for you in the way you’ve always deserved.”

relief washed over you as this mystery person tuned out to be kokichi’s own number. this prank was stupid, you thought to yourself, shaking your head slightly. “i see it now,” you sighed with a quivering voice. “i’m sorry i got so upset. i know you were just trying to be funny but this just got to me for some reason.”

kokichi rushed to interrupt you. “no! don’t be sorry for anything right now, y/n. i’m dumb for not thinking before acting.” he buried his face in his hands. “sitting here doing nothing isn’t gonna help me, so i’ll do what i can now to help you. because that’s what matters most to me.”

you could feel the weight of your pain starting to dissolve. his arms opened for a hug as he leaned in, wrapping his arms around you in a warm hug. your tears fell against his shoulder as you cried. he rubbed your back and held you for a moment as you savored the feeling. you felt vulnerable having him hold you so closely but it soothed the ache you had in your chest.

“i promise, love,” he whispered against your ear, “i will never do anything like this again. it hurts me to see you cry like this, especially knowing i’m the one who caused it.” you relaxed in his embrace. he pulled away to look at you, hands perched above your shoulders as he spoke. “how about i treat you to dinner? i know it won’t fix anything but i want to show you i care somehow.”

you laughed at his effort. “okay babe,” you replied, “let me go get ready and i’ll be right down.”

“i love you, y/n,” he murmured softly, pulling you in before planting a kiss against your lips. “let me make it up to you”

accuracy is something really important to me when i'm writing so if you think it was accurate then i'm so glad

and i'm so excited for a nagito request i haven't gotten one in a while

byakuya, nagito, kokichi with a socially anxious s/o

byakuya is not the type to nag you to tell him what's going on

he's such a "sit in comfortable silence" type of guy

because of your social anxiety, combined with his general aversion to people, the two of you don't go out often

he is perfectly content with you entertaining each other in your own home

but some times you can't avoid going out. errands and all that jazz

and usually he would go by himself and let you stay home, but this time he really needed your help with what he was doing

he knows how being around lots of people affects you, and while he can't relate, he can sort of imagine how it feels. you're afraid of people, he is annoyed by them. so you both kind of have something in common: you love avoiding social situations

anyway, when you're in public he always makes sure to stand near you and never lets the two of you get separated

if you were to end up separated, he would internally panic

one of the only times he ever experiences genuine anxiety: when you are left alone in a stressful environment

it took a long time to get you to open up to him. not that he was trying, he preferred to let it happen naturally so it was genuine.

and he is so glad you did because now he knows what kind of situations to avoid, and he is perfectly content with being a social hermit

nagito likes(?) being around certain people generally, but he also doesn't mind being alone, so wherever you go, he goes, and if you want to be a hermit, he wants to be a hermit

it was actually really easy for you to open up to him purely because he is so self-deprecating that there was no way he would judge you for anything

from time to time he will encourage you to go out and face your fear because yknow, it's the hopeful thing to do. then he'll apologize because you probably don't want advice from a lowlife like him (his words not mine)

anyway, when you two go out he's never afraid to hold your hand or bring you close to him

(i think nagito is so old fashioned in the way that he feels modern flirting and stuff can be too offensive or disrespectful so he likes to court ppl he is attracted to. we need to bring back courting pls)

so in public he generally has his hand on the small of your back, or intertwined in yours, wherever you want it to be

he's so damn intuitive. if he ever notices you are uncomfortable in a certain environment (and he will always notice), he will find a way to get out of there

kokichi is a very free spirit, you can't tie him down

he's always ready to go out and do things

being around people is his thing, he's hella extroverted

so he's always begging you to do things with him, and he just can't grasp how you are so anxious around people

he asked you why because he was genuinely trying to understand, and at first you wouldn't really talk about it, so he gave up

it might seem like he's annoyed about it sometimes, but he's just adjusting to being with someone who lives a lifestyle so different to his

eventually he will come around. and, like nagito, he will encourage you to go out and fight off that social anxiety

he often invites friends over so you can socialize in a comfortable environment and get used to the presence of others

when you two go out and you worry you're being stared at, he'll purposely do silly things to embarrass himself and take the attention off you. he's such a goof

and if he notices you're getting uncomfortable, he will get you out of there, find someplace quiet, and make sure you're okay. he'll also give you a ton of kisses!

and if for some reason any person is ever bothering you more than usual, he'll weird them out by barking or some shit so they'll go away (he would literally do this don't tell me he wouldn't)
