Chapter 1 :
The reader enjoys a serene walk in Central Park, captivated by the beauty of the autumn season. They have a chance encounter with a striking silver-haired woman, leaving them intrigued and regretful for not learning more about her. Determined to break free from their mundane routine, they plan to meet their friend Harper for an exciting adventure in the city.
Chapter 1
Reader’s POV~
As you stepped onto the familiar path that meandered through Central Park on a crisp fall day, a steaming cup of coffee in your hand, you couldn't help but smile at the vibrant hues of oranges, yellows, and reds that adorned the surrounding trees. The cool breeze rustled the leaves, creating a mesmerizing symphony that serenaded your every step. With each inhalation, the air carried the unmistakable aroma of decaying leaves, leaving an earthy scent lingering in your nose. The sunlight filtered through the canopy, casting dancing shadows upon the ground, almost as if the trees themselves were eager to join in the autumn festivities. As you took a sip from your warm cup, the soothing liquid traveled down your throat, radiating a comforting warmth throughout your body. The sip of caffeine invigorated your senses, enhancing the already delightful experience of being in the heart of nature. Your eyes wandered as you strolled through the park, capturing snippets of laughter from families playing in the nearby playground and the distant hum of street performers entertaining passersby. More and more people appeared, each reveling in the wonders of the season, clad in cozy sweaters and scarves, their breath forming small, airy clouds in the chilly air.
Lost in the tranquil ambiance of the park, your attention was suddenly diverted as you accidentally bumped into someone. Startled, you looked up to find a striking silver vixen standing before you, her piercing sapphire eyes reflecting the surrounding landscape. She possessed an air of elegance, with every strand of her silver updo meticulously in place. Apologizing for your clumsiness, you couldn't help but notice how this chance encounter punctuated the enchantment of the fall day. The silver vixen seemed to acknowledge your words with a nod, as if understanding your apology. One could say, “She exuded an awe-inspiring elegance, heightened by her extraordinary height. Her attire, a tasteful blend of vintage pieces, bold initials adorning her handbag, her hair impeccably coiffed in a blonde Alfred Hitchock-esque style, asserting its role as an accent to her wardrobe.” For a brief moment, time stood still. As you watched the silver vixen disappear into the distance, an inexplicable pang of regret washed over you. You cursed yourself inwardly for not mustering the courage to inquire about her name, to unravel the mystery behind her presence in the park. How could you let such an extraordinary encounter slip away without even knowing who she was? With a sigh, you continued to navigate through the bustling park, your thoughts consumed by the missed opportunity. As you walked, the crunching of leaves beneath your shoes mirrored the turmoil within your mind. The vibrant colors of fall, once so captivating, now seemed to pale in comparison to the older woman’s allure.
Larissa’s POV~
As she made her way through the bustling crowd of Central Park, a sudden jolt caused her to stumble backwards. She turned around and lowered her gaze, expecting to find an apologetic face, but instead, she was met with the sight of a young woman, clutching her coffee cup tightly in one hand, her face drawn with worry. It was clear she had been entirely absorbed in her own world, unaware of her surroundings. And in that moment, she couldn't help but become captivated by her.
Her graceful features and youthful energy were truly enchanting. The way her wavy hair cascaded over her shoulders, the mischief that twinkled in her eyes, and the genuine warmth that radiated from her smile all seemed to make her simply adorable. She couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for this young woman who seemed completely lost in her own little world while she clung onto her precious cup of coffee. As she hurriedly apologized for the collision, Larissa reassured her with a simple nod of her head that it was a mere accident, though secretly, she cherished the brief encounter.

Signed L.W. Chapter 2
Chapter 2 Summary:
Both reader and Larissa decided a night on the town would benefit them greatly as a way to clear their minds. The reader enters a bar in disguise alongside their friend, Harper, but the reader's drink is stolen by a mysterious stranger. A tense moment passes between them as they exchange glances, and the reader questions the stranger's motives. Finally, the stranger softens and asks for the reader's name, creating a mix of curiosity and admiration within the reader.
Chapter 2
Larissa’s POV~
Larissa couldn't shake the thought of you from her mind. Every moment seemed to be consumed by the mental image of you, leaving her longing for a distraction. Sitting alone in her office, she poured herself a glass of smooth red wine and mindlessly scrolled through her emails in search of any respite. With one final swig of her beloved red, Larissa made the decision to call it a night. She switched off the office light and headed into the bathroom for a soothing shower. As the warm water cascaded over her body, she tried to wash away the persistent thoughts of you. Determined to break free from this constant fixation, she meticulously set her hair after the shower, hoping that completing her daily tasks would help in some way. Larissa knew that a good night's sleep might bring some solace and help her gain back control over her racing thoughts. It was evident that she needed to find a way to detach herself from this persistent longing to know who you were and where you came from. Soon, morning arrived, and along with it came a text from her coworkers, inviting her to join them later that evening for a drink after work. The offer seemed appealing as a potential distraction from her lingering thoughts of you. However, Larissa, mindful of her inability to be mentally present, politely declined the invitation. She didn't want to be rude by being physically present whilst her mind resided elsewhere. The day dragged on, with Larissa feeling the weight of her fixation growing heavier as nightfall descended upon Manhattan. Determined to find some semblance of normalcy and knowing that she needed a change of scenery, she made a decision. Instead of staying cooped up in her house, she resolved to venture out, though by herself. Being a shapeshifter offered Larissa a unique advantage in situations like these. She knew she could effortlessly assume a different appearance, allowing her to blend in without arousing suspicion. So, she donned a disguise - appearing as a woman of slightly shorter stature with lustrous black hair instead of her natural blonde locks. While she loved embracing her natural state, there were times when altering her appearance proved necessary, especially to evade recognition by her coworkers. With her disguise intact, Larissa ventured on. As she walked the streets of Manhattan, the city lights casted surreal shadows, making her feel a newfound sense of freedom. For the first time in a while, her thoughts of you seemed to fade into the background, replaced by a sense of adventure and escape. That was until she saw something, or someone, who bore an uncanny resemblance.
Reader’s POV~
You and Harper stealthily infiltrated a dimly lit bar nestled in the heart of Manhattan. Concealing your true identity, you assumed the guise of the mysterious figure you had previously encountered in the park. Taking a calculated approach, you positioned yourself at the bar, while Harper excused herself to the restroom for a quick touch-up of her makeup. Situating yourself strategically, your back faced the interior of the establishment, ensuring you remained out of the direct line of sight of the patrons. Engrossed in your thoughts, you idly rested your hand on the bar, unknowingly guarding the couple of drinks you had ordered. With a sudden tap on your hand, swiftly followed by a deft movement of your body, the drinks materialized right in front of you. Grateful for the prompt service, you picked up your beverage and took a few sips, still fixated on the bar before you. However, to your astonishment, a stranger boldly approached and seized the very drink you were safeguarding. The sheer shock etched across your features was indescribable, prompting a smug chuckle from the audacious individual.
Larissa’s POV~
The audacity of this shapeshifter…That is who she assumed this person was due to their current appearance. As she pondered their motives, it became apparent that this imposter had somehow assumed her true form, effortlessly shapeshifting into the embodiment of her natural state. A surge of conflicting emotions welled up within her - a mix of bewilderment  in, anger, and a tinge of curiosity. What compelled them to don the mask of her identity? Was it a misguided attempt at impersonation, or did they harbor a more sinister purpose? She stood there in awe for a couple more minutes as time seemed to come to a halt. Inwardly seething, she couldn't help but feel violated, as if a part of her identity had been brazenly stolen. Nevertheless, a sliver of fascination mingled with her fury, prompting her to cautiously observe this shapeshifter and attempt to discern her true intentions. After all, confronting someone capable of assuming her very form required a measured approach and a steady hand.
Reader’s POV~
Stunned by the audacity of the stranger who had so casually swiped your drink, you remained frozen in shock for a moment longer. It took a few seconds for your mind to catch up and register what had just transpired. As you prepared to open your mouth and scold her for such a bold and disrespectful move, you found yourself locked in an unexpected moment of eye contact. Her gaze was filled with a peculiar mix of curiosity and intrigue, and it left you momentarily speechless. Instead of the anticipated remorse or guilt, her expression held a sense of anticipation, as if she had been waiting for some kind of reaction. It was as if she relished the opportunity to provoke a reaction from you. Your scolding words seemed to hang on the edge of your tongue, but they were unexpectedly stifled by the enigma enveloping her gaze. Caught off guard by this unexpected turn of events, you momentarily faltered. A myriad of questions raced through your mind. Who was this woman, and why did she display such audacity? Was she truly a stranger, or did she have some concealed familiarity with your existence? The initial shock from the drink theft gave way to a newfound curiosity regarding the motives behind her unruly behavior. A fascinating mix of emotions swirled within you – anger, confusion, and an inexplicable desire to engage with this mysterious stranger standing boldly before you.
Breaking the silence, you finally found your voice and mustered the courage to address the stranger's audacious act. "I assume there is a reason behind such boldness? Some might find it rude.", you stated, your words laced with a mix of firmness and curiosity. As you uttered those words, her gaze remained fixed, refusing to waver from your questioning glare. Her unwavering gaze intensified, and you detected a subtle flicker of amusement dancing in her eyes. It was as though your inquiry had piqued her interest, perhaps even sparking a game of cat-and-mouse. The air crackled with tension, and you were acutely aware of the need to remain composed and cautious in this mysterious encounter. Time seemed to stretch as the shapeshifter continued to hold your gaze, her silence revealing nothing of her motives. You couldn't help but scrutinize her features, searching for any hint of familiarity or explanation. Yet, the enigmatic smile tugging at the corners of her lips refused to divulge her secrets.
Larissa’s POV~
Though keeping her silence was frustrating, she refused to relent. You had invaded her world, assumed her form, and it was imperative for her to find out why. With a touch of determination and a hint of annoyance, she maintained a challenging stare, waiting for you to reveal your hand and provide an explanation for such a bewildering game.

btw there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with an adult living with their parents.
whoever started pushing that idea should go fuck themselves and whoever shames you for living with your parents, in an economy where doing otherwise is only possible if you make like 6 figures a year just for a small house, they can also go fuck themselves!
why the fuck would someone, in an unstable economy where the prices are rising and rising, and slowly societal classes are just crumbling and shifting into just the super-rich and literally everyone else, want to move out if they know they'd struggle to keep themselves fed every day?

Aubree hummed softly as she swept her mentor’s shop. She used a bit of magic to dust the shelves, making sure the everything was cleaned before her mentor came home. (Witch’s Apprentice!Aubree for Josh or Zelda @modernday-mages )
Zelda came back home and smiled as she saw the place was near spotless. It was always relieving to not have to do any clean up work.

a confident woman by all accounts, she becomes utterly shy and nervous when technology and machines are involved. gripping your arm, the constant confused expression on her face, looking at whatever it is as if it'll come to life and get her, eyes wide like a cat - truly, you will not see this expression on her face anywhere else. it's truly a masterpiece
