when you got a new computer did you update photoshop or maybe the vlc player? it might be the type of file….mkv is always super tricky. you can try pulling frames directly from VLC (and then loading files into stack via photoshop) instead of importing video frames to layers OR i recommend using M Player instead because its the easiest way to pull individual frames if you ask me..

that does make sense also THANK YOU SO MUCH MY FRIEND. i need advice at this point, i’ve tried all the troubleshooting i can. basically i know this problem happened on previous laptops, but i was always able to fix it, only i don’t remember how. so i tried tweaking a couple of graphics processor settings that can cause problems (no luck) as well as all manner of uninstalls/reinstalls.

i did update photoshop on this new laptop and i think part of the problem is that on leander’s laptop i rolled photoshop back the last time i had this issue, and that fixed it--but now adobe has removed all access to the version i used to use, the only ‘past versions’ i’m allowed to install are 20.0.9 and beyond. i wish i’d saved the old install. 

they are in fact mkv files. i used to just run them through a video converter when i needed to, and that would fix vlc issues, but the converter that reliably worked for me has developed a glitch and they haven’t updated it yet. 

i’ve heard of stack i think, but never done it that way, and i haven’t heard of M Player, so i will look into both of those things and see if that helps! it’s so frustrating when the source video is gorgeous and plays well and then my frames don’t reflect that. if i have to learn a better way to do it, that’s fine with me.

PEANUT BUTTER POTIONS

It’s been a while since we shared a peanut butter-based treat, but have we got one for you today. Prepare to be everyone’s favorite at your next bonfire or coven committee meeting.

PEANUT BUTTER PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE BARS

You’ll need:

1 stick softened salted butter

3/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon almond or vanilla extract 

1 cup pumpkin puree

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 baking powder

For the frosting:

1 stick softened salted butter 

8 ounces softened cream cheese

3 cups powdered sugar

To make:

Preheat oven to 350* F.

line a 9 x 13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.

Place butter and sugars into a large mixing bowl. 

Beat until well combined. 

Add egg and almond (or vanilla) extract, stirring until combined. 

Add pumpkin puree and peanut butter, stirring to combine. 

Stir in flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder until dough is formed.

Transfer to baking dish, spread evenly. 

Bake for 28-30 minutes, until baked through. 

Remove from oven and let cool completely.

To prepare cream cheese frosting, place butter and cream cheese into a large mixing bowl. 

With a hand mixer or spoon, beat until well combined. 

Slowly add powdered sugar until consistency is creamy.

Spread frosting over cooled bars and cut into squares to serve.

honestly the whole reason i started giffing and vidding and creating even all these wips is because i just love this stupid cheesy 40 year old sitcom so much and literally so few other people create content for it. and like...i’ll probably very rarely, if ever, create content fro anything else just because it’s not really worth it in the age of like-but-no-reblogs, so i can’t tell you how heartwarming it is to see people liking and rebloging my gifs. 

short of creating an actual network, i’m gonna tag some blogs who i’ve noticed give my who’s the boss stuff a lot of notes, so that they’ll at least reach everyone who wants to see wtb content. nothing of mine every gets in the tags because fuck tumblr, so i figure this is the second best way to actually get my stuff out there lol. much love to the #wtbfam.
