Hey since youre into BL and seem to like the more artsy stuff, do you have recommendations? Trying to get back into the scene haha
Hii! Thanks for the ask! :D I do love artsy BL (just as much as I love horny and silly BL stories lmao). Here are some manga that I guess you could call artistic based on the unique art, interesting paneling & visual storytelling, subject matter etc.
Since you said you’re getting back into the scene I’m presuming you have some experience with BL and are maybe already familiar with artists like Nakamura Asumiko, Kii Kanna, est em and Kusama Sakae, so I’m focusing on some newer creators/series instead.
All of these are available in english on mangaplanet.com
For Edo period historical goodness
Momo & Manji by Sakura Sawa (my intro post to momomanji)
Yuki & Matsu by Takahashi Hidebu (my v short intro to Takahashi Hidebu)
Unusual narrative structures
God is probably left-handed by Mushiba (deals with identity and artistry)
I want you back by Kuroda Sakaki (loads of atmosphere, very little plot)
Naive/simplistic art style combined with more serious themes
Save serious talk for later and It’s fine even if it’s just a dream by Ayu Yamane (the former deals with overcoming trauma and the latter healing from a past relationship. btw this is an indie artist and it's super cool that their work has been published in english!)
Sneaky Red by Thanat (for the unsafe S&M appreciator crowd)
How to find more artistic stuff to read?
Personally, if I’m in the mood for more ‘artsy’ BL manga, my usual go-to magazines are .Bloom, onBlue and Opera (and Canna to some extent). Some database sites like mangaupdates.com make it possible to search manga based on their home magazine and publisher, which makes it easy to find similar series (if you’re not like me who just buys the magazines or reads stuff on the publishers’ websites lol).
I hope you enjoy reading at least some of these and have fun getting back into reading more BL!

Bang, Bang, Pop!: Reviewing Girls With Guns Anime
Tumblr media
Created in Microsoft Paint.
In recent years, there have been even more anime featuring girls with guns, expanding the genre. I decided to examine this genre and offer my thoughts.
Reprinted from The Geekiary, my History Hermann WordPress blog on Feb. 17, 2023, and Wayback Machine. This was the fifty-first article I wrote for The Geekiary. This post was originally published on August 16, 2022.
When you think of girls with guns in popular culture, you might think of Lara Croft, Sarah Connor, Alien, Foxy Brown, or Coffy. However, there are more than just hundreds of films featuring girls with guns. In anime, there are over 20 girls with guns series.
While there are many strong anime gunslinging girls, there aren't as many anime which are truly "girls with guns". It is a genre defined by series such as the 1980s sci-fi comedy and space opera, Dirty Pair, centered on two women: Kei and Yuri.
Since then, there have been many more series, including the recently-ended Vampire in the Garden and currently airing Lycoris Recoil. There are also older series such as Gunsmith Cats, El Cazador de la Bruja, Noir, and Otherside Picnic. This article reviews these six series and four others. It is sample of a much wider array of girls with guns anime.
This post contains spoilers for the ten series that I'm writing about. So, without further ado, let me begin!
Girls with guns are stars of the show in Lycoris Recoil
Tumblr media
Chisato Nishikigi defends herself from those trying to kill her in the show's sixth episode
This original anime series by Spider Lily and Asaura is all the rage. The /r/yurimemes subreddit is filled with posts of Chisato (Chika Anzai) and Takina Inoue (Shion Wakayama), the show's protagonists, as is /r/wholesomeyuri. The show's yuri subtext is often noted. Furthermore, the show's subreddit, /r/LycorisRecoil, has over 4500 subscribers. The show's story, characters, animation, and dialogue make it easy to like.
The series begins when Takina brazenly uses a machine gun against criminals, threatening the life of a fellow "Lycoris", an armed intelligence agent. The covert organization, Direct Attack (DA), fires her. She is then transferred to Café LycoReco, a DA front organization, where she meets Chisato, a fellow Lycoris. She also meets a former DA member named Mizuki Nakahara (Ami Koshimizu) and an Afro-Japanese man named Mika (Kosuke Sakaki) who runs the cafe.
The series pulls you in due to Takina's struggle with fellow DA agents who resent her, and villains who attempt to take down Lycoris. The same can be said about Chisato's mysterious past and a hacker named Kurumi (Misaki Kuno) joins the show's heroes. The series often focuses on growing friendship between Takina and Chisato, arguably with romantic undertones. Unlike other anime about girls with guns, Chisato only uses rubber bullets. This means that those she does not kill anyone, a practice Takina adopts, as they work together as a team.
Momo shines through in Vampire in the Garden
Tumblr media
Momo defends herself from a vampire girl, Alicia
This original dark fantasy net anime features many girls with guns. Front and center is Momo (Megumi Han) who runs away from home, where she is a soldier, and trainee in a war against vampires. She meets Fine (Yū Kobayashi), queen of the vampires, learning to love life and experience music all at the same time. Unfortunately, her controlling mother, Nobara (Rika Fukami) sends out a search party to find Momo. She wants to bring her "back" to "civilization" and way from the purportedly "barbaric" vampires.
In the process, Fine and Momo grow closer to one another. Like many other girls with guns anime, there are many yuri vibes in the series. In fact, neither of these protagonists gets a chance to live together. They are chased throughout the anime and do not have a chance to rest. This is because society sees relationships between humans and vampires as "unnatural" and does not accept them.
The focus on the relationship between Fine and Momo parallels those who do not accept queer relationships and those othered by society. Rather than an anime solely about girls with guns, Vampire in the Garden is a mature dark fantasy filled with blood, death, explosions, and serious injury. Even so, there are scenes with a slice-of-life feel. This five-episode anime ends positively. Momo founds a society many years later where humans and vampires can live together in peace.
Gunsmith Cats exemplifies the girls with guns genre
Tumblr media
Irene "Rally" Vincent at the shooting range in the episode "Neutral Zone"
This adventure-crime series is based on an eight-volume manga of the same name illustrated, and written, by Kenichi Sonoda. It is different than other series in this post because it is loosely set in Chicago. It centers around Irene "Rally" Vincent (Michiko Neya), a 19-year-old woman who operates "Gunsmith Cats" gun shop. She works with 17-year-old explosives expert and former sex worker named "Minnie" May Hopkins (Kae Araki) as a bounty hunter in the underworld.
The anime is an original video animation (OVA), released between November 1995 and September 1996. It is only three episodes long.  Some reviewers praised the animation as colorful, fun, and a "solid piece" of filmmaking. Others praised the action, artwork, and said it sounded like a "gritty" suburb of Chicago. Moreover, there were those who described the animation as smooth, said it has the same amount of humor as the original manga, but complained that the series should have been longer.
Like Vampire of the Garden and Lycoris Recoil, yuri themes are implied. Although Yuricon's founder Erica Friedman does not write about the anime on her blog, Okazu, she did review each volume of the five-volume manga, Gunsmith Cats BURST. In her reviews, she notes the yuri subtext between Rally and Minnie. She also noted that mafia donna Goldie Musso is a stereotypical "evil" lesbian. In the manga, all three of them live together. Otherwise, the series fits within the girls with guns anime genre.
Love, amnesia, and guns in El Cazador de la Bruja
Tumblr media
Nadie, Ellis, and nuns shelter in a basement, hiding for people out to get them, in an episode
This 2007 series, a mix of modern Western, adventure, and yuri, is a classic girls with guns anime. It centers around Ellis (Ai Shimizu), a fugitive who has amnesia, an unknown past, and powers of some kind, and a bounty hunter named Nadie (Shizuka Itō). Both travel south in hopes of finding the key to who Ellis is, where she was born, and what she did.
In a review of El Cazadar de la Bruja first episode, Friedman noted that there were clear yuri vibes. But, she worried there would be another "ambiguously yuri" relationship like other Madlax series. However, in a review at the end of the series, Friedman praised the growing romance between Nadie and Ellis. She said it is different than Noir in more ways than one.
Others were more critical of this series, especially purported "filler" episodes. They noted that even the show's gun violence is restrained. This series is unlike other anime in this genre as it is set in the Southwest United States and Mexico. As a result, it shares similarities with Western animations like Nomad of Nowhere and The Legend of Calamity Jane. Both series have gun-toting female protagonists.
Girls with guns are at the center of Noir
Tumblr media
Kirika and Marielle in the front, with Chloe in the background, in an image on the show's now-defunct official website in 2003
This adventure anime is as well-known as El Cazador de la Bruja. It is often noted as exemplary of the girls with guns genre in anime. It centers on two female assassins, a Corsican woman named Mireille Bouquet (Hōko Kuwashima) and a Japanese woman with amnesia, Kirika Yuumura (Kotono Mitsuishi). Both journey together to learn about their past. They ally together and assassinate "bad" people under a code name: Noir. They face a French secret organization named Les Soldats, led by Altena (Tarako), which is out to kill them, and a skilled assassin named Chloe (Aya Hisakawa).
Friedman, who I've mentioned earlier, criticized the series for weak animation at times. But, she praised the show's music, settings, and yuri vibes in the series. She added that people will put up with the series, despite absurd storylines because it has an attractive woman with a gun. TV Tropes, on a page about LGBTQ fanbase of anime and manga, stated that the series garnered a "sizable lesbian fanbase" due to the "ambiguous" relationship between Mireille and Kirika. They also noted the subtle lesbian attraction shown later.
Director Koichi Mashimo described this series, Madlax, and El Cazador de la Bruja, as his "girls-with-guns genre trilogy". Some praised the 26-episode series for redefining girls with guns series, with an elegant, and sleek story. But they criticized it for having repetitive actions sequences. Others said that Noir was an original anime which "stands out". In the end, the series changed the girls with guns genre for years to come, although no series since then has been exactly like it.
Girls with guns are focal point of Otherside Picnic
Tumblr media
Sorowo aims a military-style weapon while Toriko sits next to her
This adventure sci-fi yuri series centers around two women. One is a college student named Sorawo Kamikoshi (Yumiri Hanamori) who enters parallel worlds named the Otherside. The other is the woman who saves her, a former Canadian special forces soldier named Torika Nishina (Ai Kayano). The series focuses on Nishina's quest for her friend, and their repeated attempts to return to the Otherside to gain artifacts, with the help of Kozakura (Rina Hidaka). However, the world affects them physically and mentally in ways they didn't expect.
Early last year, I began watching this series, excited to watch it since too many yuri anime are either set in schools or fantasies, with the implication that lesbian relationships will be short-lived and even replaced by heterosexuality. Unfortunately, this series did not deliver on that promise. Friedman criticizes the series for being a "children’s version of the novels". My bigger qualm is that the series did not deliver on the yuri that seemed present from the beginning, despite romantic vibes throughout.
Otherside Picnic remains within the girls with guns genre. Even in a few episodes, Sorawo and Torika save U.S. military soldiers from Okinawa who are stuck in the Otherside. Unfortunately, this becomes imperialist apologia. It glosses over problems with U.S. military occupation, and presence, in Okinawa, and Japan. It marks a low point for the entire series.
Girls with guns have an important role in Blue Drop
Tumblr media
Yūko takes out a gun to defend Mari from harm in the show's sixth episode
This 2007 yuri sci-fi drama contains some girls with guns. On the manga cover, a girl named Shōta has a gun. On the other hand, neither of the show's protagonists, Mari or Hagino, uses a gun during the series. Instead, secondary characters like Yūko and Tsubael have guns. Yūko even confronts Hagino at gunpoint. Otherwise, there are armed sentries on the ships from another world.
Blue Drop delivers more on yuri themes than Otherside Picnic or even, arguably, Lycoris Recoil. And you don't even need on yuri goggles to see it. It is more than a "fun watch" with likable characters, some of whom are morally ambiguous. Instead, it is an enveloping story which draws you in, with its plot and animation. Even the ending is heartbreaking.
Since the series is usually put into the sci-fi and yuri genres, reviewers don't often put it into the girls with guns genre. Although there are fewer girls with guns in Blue Drop than other series noted in this article, it has positives which go beyond other series. It is a classic that can be watched over and over. The same can likely also be said about the affiliated manga which ran from 2004 to 2008.
Badass girls with guns are central to Canaan
Tumblr media
Canaan about to fire her pistol during the show's opening
This 2009 mystery thriller is little-known, despite the fact that a Japanese game company, Type-Moon, created it. It's based on a special scenario originally outlined in 2009 game, 428: Shibuya Scramble. This anime centers on a gun-toting assassin and mercenary named Canaan (Miyuki Sawashiro). She faces a rival named Alphard Al Sheya (Maaya Sakamoto), a skilled assassin who heads a terrorist organization named Snake. Canaan also has a pretty reporter friend named Maria Ōsawa (Yoshino Nanjō).
Canaan and Alphard are both skilled at using firearms, as is ex-mercenary Siam (Akio Ōtsuka), Alphard's lieutenant, Liang Qi (Rie Tanaka), and many others. Predictably, yuri themes are spread throughout this anime. Canaan often saves Maria from sticky situations thanks to her ability to perceive people's emotions as colors. They clearly are attracted toward each other. The series ends with Canaan being, in the words of Friedman, "awarded equal status to Maria in her heart."
Otherwise, Canaan is action-packed, with fast-paced fight sequences and chases. In some ways, it makes me think of chase scenes in Carmen Sandiego, although the ones in that series are never filled with guns, but with other deadly weapons instead. This series is unique because Canaan is from an unnamed country in the Middle East, presumably Syria or Lebanon. It adds another dimension to the story.
Guns, love, and demons in Engage Kiss
Tumblr media
Shu, Sharon, and Ayano pictured on the show's official website.
In this ongoing, and currently airing, romantic comedy, one character stands out as a girl with a gun: Ayano Yugiri (Lynn). She is the former girlfriend of Shuu Ogata (Soma Saito). He lost his memories of their relationship after partnering with a demon named Kisara (Saya Aizawa). To give her the necessary demon powers to fight, he kisses her, which erases a memory every time he does so.
While it seems, at first, that she chooses his memories to erase at random, it is later shown that she can choose which ones to erase. She even eliminates a time that Shuu and Ayano have sex, enjoy each other's company. She also eliminates a time when Shuu had sex with the demon-hating priest, Sharon Holygrail (Rumi Okabo), and poisoned her in a devious way.
Ayano has the most skills at using firearms apart from Shuu. It has not been revealed how she is so skilled, but she may have on-the-job experience. Unlike Lycoris Recoil, the only other people who use guns are the police, as the villains often manipulate demons instead. None of the show's characters without faults, and have all likely done deplorable things.
A gun-toting protagonist in Venus Versus Virus
Tumblr media
Lucia fires her gun in the show's opening
This dark fantasy and supernatural thriller centers around two girls with guns: Lucia Nahashi (Ayahi Takagaki) and Sumire Takahana (Minori Chihara). Although it has been rightly described as a series to avoid by Stig Høgset of THEM Anime Reviews. He argued that it is "lazy and dumb", with mild fanservice and violence. That makes it different from others in this genre, which are usually more violent and bloody.
In Venus Versus Virus, Lucia, especially, is skilled with use of a firearm. She works to protect Sumire, along with others, from harm that demons, known as "viruses", can inflict. Predictably they both bond in the process. Even so, the yuri themes in this story are not very strong, with neither Lucia nor Sumire appearing to be lesbians.
On the other hand, the series is strong as an anime that features girls with guns. As such, it is relatively well-established in the genre. In fact, when bullets hit Sumire, it causes her violent personality to surface, which can be harmful to anyone around her.
Closing thoughts
There are many other examples of girls with guns anime.  Some of the most prominent, apart from Dirty Pair, include Bubblegum Crisis, Miami Guns, Gunslinger Girl, and Burn-Up. One critic argued that while there aren't many true girls with guns anime, the ones that do exist have been so influential, it has created "an entire thematic genre and stereotype of anime."
Princess Principal and the film, Kite Liberator also fall into the genre. Even Izetta: The Last Witch might fall into the genre since Izetta rides an anti-tank rifle. Apart from Sabine Wren, Padme Amidala, and Zam Wessell, who tote guns in the Star Wars franchise, there's no Western animated equivalent of the genre. On the other hand, there are some gun-wielding women elsewhere, like Millie in Helluva Boss.
There are many girls with guns within anime, but even with newer series, it remains to be seen if the current trend toward more girls with guns will continue. Many of the series within the genre, such as Strike Witches, Michiko & Hatchin, Grenadier, and Upotte!! are years old. The same is the case for Madlax, set in the same world as Birdie Wing.
With anime production companies flush with cash, there is a possibility of further girls with guns anime in the future.

Pandora's Gift Ch.5
Warning: this story will contain mature content such as but not limited to sex, cursing, blood, violence, breeding kink, A/B/O themes ect.
Last Chapter
Sakaki was still tense as they left her apartment and made their way out of the older building. She completely expected at least one of the two men to say something. She wasn’t an idiot, she knew their noses worked, they had to be able to smell her all over the apartment and the fact that she was an omega. And yet neither said anything. Which surprised her. Sure Kirishima was a gentleman and she never expected him to say a word. But Bakugou was another story, the man was an asshole. This would have given him the perfect thing to hold above her head and use against her. And yet the blonde just shoved his hands into his pants pockets and didn’t say a word as the trio walked and Kirishima was once again happy to gossip about their friends and classmates and what had been happening in the last few years.
It was oddly soothing being able to talk so freely with Kirishima as she ignored the angry dog that was tailing them with his hands stuffed in his pockets and his angry scowl on his face. But even he seemed able to behave himself simply looking like he didn’t care and wasn’t listening even though he actually was listening to his two coworkers.
It wasn’t till they reached a rather familiar little cozy restaurant that the three walked in. Well it was familiar for Bakugou and Kirishima as they had enjoyed the little hidden peace of heaven they had found. Sakaki hadn’t even noticed the little place tucked away along the busy street. Almost made her feel bad she had lived in the area for so long and she had never noticed the little place.
The three were greeted by an older gentleman who was quick to lead them to a little corner booth as Bakugou sat across from her and Kirishima beside her. Now she was boxed in, a wall on one side, Kirishima on the other and Bakugou in front of her. She would have had to flip backwards out of the chair to get away from them if anything happened.
They were friends, or at least Kirishima was. So why did her skin crawl at the thought that she was caged in between the men and the wall? Now she was just being weird and she knew it but still it felt odd being stuck between the two.
It was easy to tell the two had eaten here a time or two as Bakugou didn’t even touch his menu as he was glaring holes into the wall beside them, Kirishima glanced at his though still seemed to know what he was going to get.
“Do you know what you're gonna get?” Kirishima asked with a wide toothy grin on his face.
“Yeah, I’m gonna go with a miso ramen,” she said after thinking over the question for a split second before she answered. To which Kirishima gave a simple nod that smile never left his lips. Did his face ever get sore smiling so much? Then again the man always was a bundle of sunshine it seemed.
A waiter quickly took their orders and of course Bakugou went with the spiciest option. She didn’t even get a chance to look over and see what Kirishima had ordered as their dishes were quickly brought out. A bonus of the place being so empty at the current late hour.
“Jeez Bakugou what the hell did you order? My eyes are watering from over here,” Sakaki said, unable to help the dramatic expression and tone as she teased Bakugou for his love of extremely spicy food. It made her think of one night in the UA dorms where Kaminari had stolen a bite of Bakugou’s homemade ramen and the poor kid downed 3 glasses of water and nearly had smoke coming from his ears before Momo corrected him that he needed to drink milk to help the burning not water.
“Oh shut up. You're not the one eating it so don't bitch,” he growled at her which just had her laughing at him. He never did take teasing well and his outbursts were often entertaining at least.
“She’s got a point Bakugou that bowl smells hella spicy from even across the table,” Kirishima said joining with with a low hearty chuckle as he watched his friend proceed to then grab a large mouthful of the noodles before slurping them up as he scowled at the two people sitting across from him. This just had Sakaki giggling softly in her own hand as if that may somehow save her from being noticed, before she turned her attention to her own bowl happily starting to eat her meal.
So much for being mature adults, it truly felt like for a moment she was sitting among her classmates back in the UA dorms listening to friends chat and tease each other. Usually she would have watched Mina tease Bakugou while either Denki, Sero or Kirishima would join in. It felt nice knowing she was the one joining in for once.
Kirishima was more than happy to engage in a little small talk in between mouthfuls after Bakugou had scolded him once for talking with his mouthful. The duo was rather interesting to watch. Kirishima was so outgoing and kind while Bakugou sat back simply listening, not saying anything unless he really felt the need to. And often it was with an outburst of anger.
It had her wondering as to when was the last time she went out for dinner? Often she just ate a quick meal at home alone. She had a small handful of non hero friends she had gained since leaving UA but her hero job often made it hard to hang out with them since she worked a lot longer hours than they did. So it was nice sitting there even if Bakugou didn’t really interact with her, his presence was still oddly soothing.
Both guys were nice to be with even as the dishes were emptied, glasses empty and ice melting in them. She almost wanted to ask if they wanted to get drinks maybe somewhere else. But then again she was going to be working with the two men a lot for the next bit and she imagined the angry Pomeranian would very quickly get sick of her. So she didn’t want to press her luck and was happy to end the evening on a good note as the three slowly got up from their seats. Sakaki reached into her back pocket to pull out her money and pay but Kirishima was quick to put a stop to that.
“Hey now don’t do that. Put your wallet away. This is my treat. After all I’m the one who wanted to go out for dinner,” Kirishima said quickly as he spotted her wallet in her hand.
“Are you sure? I don’t mind paying for my own meal,” she said softly, as she hesitated as she stood there fully ready and willing to pay for her own meal.
“You got cotton in your ears dumb ass? Your money is no good here,” was the bark that came from the scowling blonde. Sakaki scrunched up her nose a little at the insult and not being allowed to pay for her meal. And yet another part of her was far too pleasantly happy to know neither man would let her pay and they both were happy to cover her meal.
“Fine but I’m getting the next meal,” she said with a huff even though she could tell by the look both men shot her that she was not going to be allowed to pay for the next meal either. And yet why did it warm her heart so much to feel like there was going to be a next time, that this was not the last time she was going to eat with both or either of the men.
So she gave in as she huffed softly to herself and stuffed her wallet back into her back pocket. After all, it wouldn’t do her any good arguing with both men over something as simple as buying her supper. And she had long since learned you never wanted to pick a fight with Bakugou. Kirishima would be one thing but Bakugou was another. Once the meals were paid for, the three headed out of the restaurant.
“Well thank you both again for the food. It was good even though I’m pretty sure Bakugou’s made my nose water from across the table the entire meal,” she said trying to bite back the urge to laugh as he turned on her and proceeded to tell her she had no good taste in food. Kirishima was trying not to either knowing he didn’t want his friend's violent attitude turned on him next. But that didn’t truly stop the soft shake of his shoulders.
“It was our pleasure. You know every second weekend we all get together. We game and eat a little junk food, often some booze is involved too. Mina, Sero, Denki, sometimes Hitoshi when Denki can force him out, Jirou tries to make it but her schedule seems the worst to work with weekend get-togethers. It’s a hell of a lot of fun. I bet everyone would love to see you again. You should come join us,” she should have seen that coming. He also used to invite her to the same get-togethers the group would have when they lived in the dorm. Seems their gaming weekend get-togethers were still going strong even eight years later.
“I see you guys haven’t changed much. Does Bakugou still melt the controllers?” She asked, smirking playfully, not completely agreeing or disagreeing. But she couldn’t help but tease the blonde remembering how Denki and Kirishima used to horde controllers for their consoles because Bakugou would get so worked up he would melt the plastic controllers in his hands.
“He’s not as bad at it anymore,” Kirishima said with a chuckle as Bakugou yelled at both of them to shut the fuck up to which only made both parties laugh even harder.
“Sure I’ll join one weekend. But I better head home, it's getting late,” she said, realizing all three were just standing around outside the restaurant.
“Let us walk you home. After all, what men would we be if we let a young woman walk home alone in the middle of the night?” He questioned flashing her that million dollar smile he always had. It just melted her heart and she could not deny him.
“You know I’m a pro hero. Someone would have to be stupid to try and mug me,” she said lightly before she started to walk towards her home expecting the two to tail after her anyways.
“Just shut up and let us walk you home dumb ass,” was the growl that came from Bakugou which actually surprised both her and Kirishima.
“Oh wow Bakugou can be a gentleman?” Sakaki didn’t even hide the surprise in her voice but also a slight teasing tone as she burst out laughing as he turned to scowl at the woman who was walking ahead of him. Laughing she threw a wide grin over her shoulder at the two men who were walking behind her. She didn’t even notice the light blush that covered both men’s cheeks.
With her long dark hair left loose it was free to flow around her face as she looked back laughing over her shoulder. Her bangs swept over her eyes a little before she pushed the hair out of her face. Dark brown eyes shimmered playfully as she looked over her shoulder at both men.
The fact that the blonde man had remained quiet was a surprise to his red headed friend who once he was able to pull his attention away from the woman turned to watch his friend's reaction. Kirishima had to bite back the urge to laugh, his friend was smitten and he knew it. Though the fact that the blonde would probably never admit it was annoying for the red head to deal with.
The walk back had grown a little silent as both men let the woman lead the way back to her little apartment. Kirishima would glance at his friend to watch his friends eyes not even hiding the fact he was watching the woman’s ass as she walked. Then again even Kirishima couldn’t deny Sakaki had a near perfect figure eight figure. A dainty waist with nice wide hips. Good birthing hips if Kirishima could say so himself. And if he thought so then it was most likely Bakugou would think the same. The duo shared a lot of similar tastes in women so it felt rare when the blonde and redhead didn’t both find a woman attractive. Though Bakugou would probably never admit it out loud, Kirishima knew the man found a strong independent woman more appealing than a woman who just tossed herself at him. Though Kirishima liked his woman a bit more bubbly and happy than he figured the blonde would like. It was probably the biggest difference in their taste in women.
Kirishima’s assumptions were not wrong. Bakugou would never admit it but he did find the woman walking ahead of him attractive. Her ass was nice and round, wide hips made it look like her waist was tiny. Even the way her hips swayed as she walked was nearly hypnotic. It wasn't till her head would glance back over her shoulder that both men’s eyes would dart away not wanting to be spotted watching her ass as she walked.
“What’s the plan for tomorrow?” She decided to talk about work as it felt awkward just walking in silence with the two men a few steps behind her. The street where nearly empty as she asked her question she turns to face them while walking backwards. Bakugou scowled at her for the childish antics though it was also because he couldn’t blatantly watch her ass now.
“Same as today I’ll be doing patrols and you two will be staking out that warehouse,” Kirishima answered her question. And both men proceeded to watch the woman pout as she didn’t like that idea.
“Ugh but stake outs are so boring,” she whined softly.
“Oh you’ll live. Stop complaining,” snapped Bakugou as he growled at her.
“But I’m used to fighting villains, helping little old ladies. I’m not made to sit on my ass all day,” she whined like she had earlier while they were getting back to the agency after the hours spent watching the warehouse.
“Miroku kept you busy huh?” Kirishima asked quickly, trying to change the subject as he watched Bakugou quickly growing irritated as they walked.
“Yes. We trained every morning. Then we would go out and patrol for ten hours. Do a bit of paperwork. Not a lot of paperwork is done, Miruko tends to ditch that on her sidekicks. Often we would train some more before heading home,” she answered honestly. Really it was a surprise she wasn’t burnt out with all the work that Miruko put her through. But that’s what kept her getting up in the morning nice and early, and working her ass off. Miruko was amazing to work with and it really didn’t feel like she was even working most days.
“Oh wow Miruko really puts you through the ringer every day,” Kirishima said, surprised to hear she worked so hard. Yet she wasn’t a top ranking pro but she still worked so hard. It almost made the red head feel guilty he was sitting in a top ten position.
“Yeah but I wouldn’t ask for it any other way. Working for Miruko is just amazing,” Sakaki answered before she turned back around facing the correct way as she spotted her apartment building come into view.
“I bet. Almost makes me jealous,” Kirishima said with an innocent wide smile as he ran his fingers through his spiked red hair. Sakaki chuckled lightly as she listened to the man say he was jealous of her working for Miruko.
“Yeah but you're a top ten pro. You have nothing to be jealous of,” she said with a light chuckle as she slowed down as she started to approach her front door.
“Well this is my place. Thanks again for supper,” she said, flashing both men a wide grin. Kirishima was quick to return a wide smile while Bakugou just scuffed at her.
“Good night,” she said with a wave as she turned and walked in through the main lobby of her apartment.
“Good night,” Kirishima was the only one to give her a reply before the door closed behind her.
Sakaki smiled happily to herself as she took the stairs, flying up them with a feeling like she still had far to much energy for the given hour in the evening. Hopefully running up her stairs would help burn a little of that energy she felt, or it was going to give her cramps from running right after eating but she wasn’t too worried. It was only a few stairs and she needed an outlet for the energy.
Once she reached her apartment door she was a little out of breath but not bad. After all she was used to taking the stairs only ever using the elevator when she was hurt or too exhausted. Stepping into her home she took a deep breath before sliding her shoes off and changing them for some slippers before making her way into her little home. It wasn’t hard to notice that both men’s scents still lingered around her doorway. But by the time she reached her bedroom their scents were just lingering thoughts in her mind.
Once in her bedroom she happily stripped out of her clothes more than happy to toss on a large baggy t-shirt and some little shorts before she crawled into her bed happily welcoming the mountain of pillows and blankets. She grabbed one of her softest pillows pulling it into her chest as she cuddled with it. She had actually had fun with the two former classmates. Oddly enough even Bakugou had been fun to be around. Sure he was still explosive but he wasn’t a done right ass hat about anything, after all he only got explosive when she teased him. So her poking the bear really shouldn’t count towards him being an ass.
She couldn’t remember the blonde being so easy to get along with when they were in school. What changed? Had the blonde simply simmered down at least a little? Maybe, no that had to be it he just simply wasn’t as bad as he once was that had to be it. But still it made her wonder as she curled up cuddling the pillow as her eyes drifted shut and she welcomed an early night. After all it wasn’t often she got to bed before midnight.

When they were young, Nino Arisugawa and Momo Sakaki had promised that if they were ever separated, they would use their song to find each other again. However, Momo moved away without notice, leaving Nino with a constant urge to scream. For this reason, she begins wearing a mask. During this time, while still missing her first love, Nino encounters Kanada "Yuzu" Yuzuriha, a boy her age who composes music and gives her the nickname "Alice." Nino falls in love with his music, while Yuzu falls in love with her. Every Wednesday they would meet at the beach—but one day, Yuzu also stops coming. Six years later, Nino and Yuzu reunite in high school—unbeknownst to her, Momo has also entered the same school. Holding on to the childhood promise she made with him, Nino sings Yuzu's songs, hoping that her voice can still reach Momo. However, while she tirelessly tries to reach him, Yuzu continues to long for her, escalating a love triangle that has been built across years of separation
