May I say more than 1?

I haven't seen much people say this so I assume it's an unpopular opinion

1. Leopold still gotta apologize to Jamie, man. I mean, calling him hideous? That's kinda, nah..

Also Gwen's reaction to Jamie being called hideous doesn't really satisfy me. I mean, she knows how it feels to be called smth like that so I expected she would be more defensive to Leopold. Maybe say something like, "Hey, don't say that!"? Or anything similar to that but more softspoken considering her personality.

2. Blaine still owes so many apologies to Lance and Frederick (is this an unpopular opinion?)

Look, don't get me wrong here. I'm glad Blaine is going on a self discovery journey and all, but he could at least bid farewell to his family first. Not to mention, he was supposed to be the king, right? I assume he already study a lot for that so really, he could've taught Frederick a thing or two. I just really want the plaid family (minus Leland) to actually bond together as a healing family, man... Also i feel bad for Isolde, y'know?

3. I'm just gonna rip it off like a bandage, the plaid princes not ruling the kingdom together.

I know, I know, they all have each their own dreams and aspirations. I love that! Really, I do. But damn.. Imagine all of them ruling the kingdom together! That would be so cool?! Like, each of them sharing their own perspective on things. Maybe I'm just desperate for more Plaid Princes content :') Their relationship at the epilogue just kinda dissappoint me, aha..But! At least each of them got their own happy endings, so I'm thankful for that.

To be honest this is a hard one...Mostly because I've already forgotten most cpc theories aha. But I do remember one I quite like. The theory that Leland pushed Blaine away at the dungeon because he was momentarily possessed by Leelathae who was angry that Blaine called Gwen ugly. I just think it's neat and pretty sweet.

Also the theory that Nell's parents ate the omniscient clam still makes me giggle to this day. It makes sense but it just kinda sound silly XD

Oh! Oh! The uh, the theory regarding what each of the Plaid princes and Pastel princesses costumes mean! Like the correlations between Frederick and The Little Prince! That is also cool!!

1. What memory would your OC rather just forget?

This is a memory that Selsi would rather forget: It is the memory of the same stone, the same silence, experienced from the same patch of ground for 10000 years. It is not the day the Council publicly condemned them as a monster among monsters and sentenced them to imprisonment beneath an unnamed mountain. It is not the moment ten spears of the purest silver, magicked with the strongest of wards, nailed them to stone and sealed them away. It is knowing every rock, every echo, every groove and grain beneath their palms of some unnamed cavern beneath some unnamed mountain in the farthest reaches of the earth.

This is a memory that Anadeim would rather forget: It is the memory of waking up in his lover's arms with a magicked silver blade pointed at his heart. It is the sting of betrayal as the metal pierced his flesh, as he tossed his lover--the hunter--aside. It is the burning on his skin as he shattered the silver blade, the rage and grief as he sank his fangs and claws into them, as he felt the hunter die in his bare hands. The twisted scar and the fragment of silver still in his chest remind him every day of what he calls his greatest foolishness.

24. What is an alternative life path your OC might have gone down? How different would their life be if they'd made those decisions?

This may change later on, but:

For Selsi, I think they've always been seen as this sort of accursed monster. Extremely powerful, undying, feared by all. There were people who sought to make use of this, but Selsi chose to wrest power for themself such that no one could ever touch them. In an alternate life, maybe Selsi chooses to hide away instead. They remain undetected for a time, but in the end, running backfires on them. They are found by powerful people, are fettered, and are made to act as a weapon, anything that could make use of their strength and undying nature to keep enemies in line.

Before he settled in his current residence, Anadeim was the son of a high-ranking Council member and was likely expected to follow the same path. Instead of fucking off to who knows where (a decision that may have led to his disownment?), in another life he does follow that path. He is used as a chess piece and becomes embroiled in the politics of the Council, becomes mired in its danger and stagnation both, and lives the rest of his days a very unhappy man. In one life he is unhappy because of betrayal and heartbreak, in this alternate iteration he is unhappy because he is living a life he doesn't want to live, with very little sense of agency.

It’s time for the school play and it’s Romeo & Juliet. Mikasa gets the role of Juliet and Eren couldn’t give a fuck about the play until he found out Romeo and Juliet kiss, in front of everybody. And now Eren is obsessively after the role, only he can’t act to save his life

There's this animanga from the late 80s/early 90s that I adore called Ranma 1/2 that has a Romeo and Juliet high school theater production arc and all I can picture is that but with Eremika as Ranma and Akane. I'm going to try to break free from that restraint.

Okay, so first things first, if Mikasa got the role and Eren didn't, that means she auditioned and he probably didn't bother. So he's shit out of luck by the time he finds out the guy cast as Romeo (Jean??? Maybe???) is going to be kissing Mikasa. This means Eren has two options: to make sure the kiss doesn't happen or to steal the role.

So, what does Eren do?

He gets himself appointed to the stage crew, of course, and begins doing everything he can to make Jean's life a living hell.

He's smacking into him with set pieces, sabotaging his props, he is orchestrating wardrobe malfunctions left and right. During rehearsals, every time they get to the kiss he knocks something over and interrupts them. The director is getting fed up but they also can't help but love watching the drama unfold before them, so they let Eren do his thing for the most part and wonder what is going to happen when the boy can't delay the kiss any longer.

Eren's already on top of that. He knows he can't keep dropping set pieces when there's an audience because he doesn't want to ruin the play for Mikasa, but he also would rather die than see her kiss another guy. Therefore, he needs Jean out of the picture. He concluded long ago that if he's going to keep Mikasa's lips for himself he has to give Jean mono. What better way to put him out of commission and prevent the kiss than the kissing disease itself? Eren loves the irony. Or, he would if he paid attention in English class long enough to know what irony is.

And so, Eren's quest to give Jean mono is already well under way by the time he enters the scene as a member of the stage crew.

But wait, you may say. How is Eren going to infect another kid with mono if he doesn't have it? You forget that Eren's father is a doctor. Eren knows from dinner time conversation that there's been an outbreak of it at a nearby high school and tons of those kids have it. All Eren has to do is get in touch with one of them and obtain their spit. He is not bound by the strictures of common decency or shame, so he starts hitting kids at the other school up, trying to find one who is just as depraved as he is who is willing to sell him their diseased saliva. And you know he manages to find one.

He cuts school takes the bus to the next town over , exchanging fifty dollars for a baby food jar full of saliva from a fellow unhinged teenage, then hurrying back to campus before the virus loses potency.

He arrives just in time for lunch and immediately gets busy contaminating poor Jean's food when he isn't looking.

Then he sits back and crosses his fingers that Jean's symptoms will hit before opening night (it takes 4 - 6 weeks for the infection to brew). He also makes sure to keep Jean's putrid lips off Mikasa. His on-stage kerfuffles have been protecting more than just his own tender heart. He's got to keep Jean from infecting Mikasa, lest Eren find himself onstage as Romeo without his Juliet.

Jean is looking concerningly healthy as opening night approaches, though, and Eren is beginning to think he's going to have to go back to the other kid's house and demand a refund when, with only two days to spare, Jean succumbs to Eren's machinations and falls ill with mononucleosis.

The director is freaking out. Jean can't be in the play if he has mono but who is going to fill in for him?

Eren to the rescue. Surprise, surprise. He has the part memorized.

The director has no choice. The show must go on even if it means Romeo recites all his lines like a robot and everyone in the audience can tell he's slipping Juliet some tongue when he kisses her. At least, the audience all tentatively agree as they try to find a bright spot in the mess of a play they just witnessed, the two leads have tons of chemisty.

Here's how to watch season 2 of Tsukutabe with jp subs LEGALLY!

You're gonna have to get 2 things - a VPN with a japanese location, and a temporary NHK+ account, which only requires you to put in a valid email address.

The broadcasting channel NHK which airs & produces Tsukutabe puts up all episodes immediately after the TV broadcast on their on demand streaming service, NHK+, which only works if you're either in Japan or have a jp VPN address. For VPN personally I use windscribe for now, their lowest plan is 4$ a month for any 3 countries you want. So that's what I got. It has decent speed. You can also use a totally free VPN like Proton, and I tried that too but it was so slow that it annoyed me (lmao). But it does indeed work and if you wanna watch it that way try it out!

For NHK+, you're gonna wanna keep google translate or deepl close by to navigate their website but it's not hard either. Go and make an account but make sure to only make it a temporary one, since a full account requires you to put in your address etc. This whole process is free and you only need to register with an email address that you then need to verify. And it's done! Pull up Tsukutabe in their search or click any of the links on the NHK drama twt (they very nicely post a link & short clip after each episode has aired). I think all episodes are available on demand for a week, so for ep11 you've got the whole weekend to watch. Again, these are not subbed in english, you're gonna have to wait for a fansubber to get to that since it hasn't been picked up internationally yet. I know furritsubs has announced upcoming subs over the weekend.

You've mentioned using fountain pens in passing before. Do you have any pens, ink, and paper you prefer? Tried and true supplies? Others saved for special times?

Paper: AFFORDABLE! I would say that answer is in jest, but my budget is giving me side eye. While I do have special paper for special things that may or may not intersect with the use of fountain pens, it is for a greatly limited reason. Most of the time, I'm writing on whatever paper/notepad is in reach and it is for this reason that most of my nibs are F or EF to limit feathering. Because cheap paper will suck ink out of a pen faster than you can refill it if you use a M nib or larger.

Pens: Pilot Kakuno, my beloved. I have found them to be accessible to my budget and accessible to my needs. I have a few set aside (with corresponding ink) for use in magical endeavors. If they get lost or I drop it nib down, it's not a reduction in my net worth.

Right now my fountain pens and inks have been put in storage because I just don't have the room to go all in with them again. Once I finish rearranging some stuff and clearing out some debris from my life (emotional and physical), I'll be able to sit down with my pens again and stain my fingers unique combinations of colors.

I have a few Edison pens, and some Stipulos, but the day I dropped a LE Stipulo one foot onto a tile floor and shattered the end knob off of it was the day that I realized I'm not paid enough to have a "true" fountain pen habit. Give me the Kakunos and Metropolitans, and I'll be okay.

I had an idea. You know how Scarecrow Girl likely had a sister? And how every lady needs a Mono and Vice Versa? Well, MAYBE Scarecrow’s mono and Scarecrow’s sister are one and the same!

Your brain is enormous because I think it implies the idea of Transgender Mono, and tbh even if that wasn't the case it's such a cool idea... I really like it...

I want to put in my two cents though and say that while I love this idea, I think the (supposed) identity of Scarecrow's sibling would be that of another Lady simply because of the symbolism laying around both her and Tengu's quarters.

There is this recurring symbolism of 3... the three Lady statues in Scarecrow's quarters, the the three eyes one has to blind to get to her (+ the fourth on the door [which is strange considering that when you place her on her pedestal, Scarecrow is the second tallest, effectively making her the second]), the 3 children depicted in Tengu's room in VLN... it keeps pointing to the presence of 3 people at both points in their lives. Three children (the two sisters and Mono) and three women (the sisters and Fox).

This is what I think, personally. I keep thinking that their part of the cycle was the most odd as it was (tecnically) nearing the beginning of it. They are quite silly to Me specifically. I keep thinking about little Scarecrow looking after her two younger sibling (one of which they randomly aquired😭)

So does Prince Frederick finally realize that his dad was the serpent the whole time? Will he fight him?

Hm.. I mean, eventually he's gonna realize that, right? But how? Well I'm thinking of 3 scenarios!

1. Frederick realized while thinking on the way to Gwen's room. During the fear moments as he will finally face the serpent, he got an "a-ha!" Moment. Y'know like that one moment where you suddenly remember/realize something? Yeah he suddenly realize who the serpent was in his dream.

2. Same as the 1st one but he realized it through careful thinking of who has been acting like the serpent in his entire life.

3. He found out from entering Gwen's room and actually facing the serpent

Oo, in the dating sim version of Birdsong's story, I think player choices could lead to either a good end or bad end.

Birdsong was made to be a weapon by nefarious forces, and planted as an assassin into the Selene, an elite unit of knights chosen and granted power by the lunar god-monarch themself. After killing the then current commander of the Selene and fleeing, Birdsong is marked as traitor to their fellow knights, to the lunar monarch, and to the entire kingdom. The player meets her while she's on the run, avoiding the eyes of the Selene guard and the Lunar Bird, and secretly continuing her work as an assassin under the guise of a harmless healer.

Their route would include things such as:

How they view themself as a thinking, feeling being vs. how they view themself as a weapon. How they feel that their life is not and has never been their own.

Their secret desire to break free from the people who made them into what they are vs. just following the path of blood and death set for them.

His possible reconciliation with the Selene.

Their feeling of disconnect with people, the feeling that they cannot or should not form close relationships with others, the unconscious feeling that every kill takes away a little more of what little of themself they have left.

In the best ending, he's able to reconcile with the Selene, is able to work with them to bring down the people who made him and who threaten the entire world. He is able to live quietly, a life of peace free from the anxieties of running from some of the most powerful people in existence. And in the romanced route, Birdsong gets to spend that life with you.

A few choices for a bad ending: They are either caught by the Selene and executed, or they fully embrace their life as a weapon to be wielded by others against the Selene, the Parhelia, the gods, and even you.

In a more neutral ending, Birdsong continues her life on the run, facing enemies from all sides. She's on the run, but she's alive and, against her attempts to persuade you otherwise, perhaps you can join her for it.

Factors affecting the ending include but are not limited to:

Whether you believe that Birdsong truly wants nothing to do with the kind of life they've lived thus far, see that deep down they feel immense guilt and regret over having betrayed their past friends and lovers in the Selene.

Whether you investigate the organization behind people like Birdsong and encourage the Selene to do the same, encourage them to seek some sort of reconciliation with Birdsong.

Whether you give up Birdsong to the Selene, or otherwise actively work to condemn them.

Whether or not you can remind Birdsong that they are more than a blade to be wielded by others. Whether or not you use Birdsong for your own ends.
