I'd like to introduce to everyone this horrid thing I created about a year ago but haven't shown many people yet (probably for the best).
This is Baby. AKA The Monster. AKA Sight Tremendous and Abhorred, AKA Vile Insect, AKA A Thing Such As Even Dante Could Not Have Conceived, etc, etc. It's made from bits of scrap fabric I scrounged from various sources and is roughly the size of a human toddler. Its design is based on Mary Shelly's original descriptions of Frankenstein's creature.
But that's not all! Behold!
You can dissect this little abomination to reveal a full set of crocheted, knitted, and scrap fabric organs, all hand-stitched by yours truly!
It has a heart, stomach, lungs, liver, small and large intestine, kidneys, bladder, and, of course, a brain! So it can ponder the horrors of its own existence!
I used this pattern by Less Than Three for the heart. I ended up felting it because I screwed up most of the stitches (I was relatively new to crochet at the time). The result was a bit of a blobby mess, but oh well.
So yeah. This thing lives in my house now (my family hates it). I have yet to reap the full consequences of my hubris.
One week before Artober! 🎃🍁💖
Last year I did Girltober, where I drew monstergirls that the members of my Discord helped design! This year, they'll be helping me design some monsterguys!
Each week, members will vote from a list of traits- and the top 5 traits will be combined into a monsterguy! ♡
I'm sharing all the traits in this prompt list, so anyone can use this for inspiration for Artober. The list and instructions are on the second slide; and if you use this list, tag me! I would love to see your monsterguy art 💖💙👀
Have fun~! ☆
yandere monster x darling who found them in the woods. Darling y/n who showed them a bit of kindness by not running away immediately and offering a bit of food from their bag. The creature looked thin but large in height and certainly not weak in any way.
You’ve heard legends about this monster. Legends that strictly stated that it killed anyone who crossed the woods and was the opposite of forgiving. But it didn’t try to hurt you so why not!
Oh and it would never hurt you. Not after you treated it so kindly. Surely it must mean you hold them so dearly in your heart, right? You’re not like the other village people
Yan!monster who didn’t realize it until hours after it last saw you. How stupid of them, you were gone already! They should have followed you back home, you would have welcomed them in right? You like them after all. And they like you.
They’ll spend the rest of their lives searching for that feeling again, for you specifically.
They know the woods like the back of their hand, they’ll search endlessly until they catch a bit of your scent. No matter how long it takes. It pays attention whenever it hears or smells another human, but it’s never you. And those humans never come out of the woods again. Come find them please, they yearn to hear your voice again and the softness of your expression. They don’t know what they’ll do if they don’t find you soon
Plus a speed doodle of them condensed from 35 minutes to a minute and a half, just cause I was bored and have like...never released a public speed draw vid ever
Occasionally I pull up my naga versions of them for color refs, so a warning for flashing images just in case! Also I swap between sun and moon as I doodle them both at once and switch layers a bit!
Great time to remember that, in the books, Percy didn’t actually come to understand just how terrible the gods are (as a whole) until The Last Olympian. And he didn’t start to get bitter as hell about it until even after that. The show is doing a great job of setting this up, in my opinion.
