Cut for Acolyte chit-chat.

The problem I’m having with last night’s Acolyte TPK is that really, it was fantastic TV. The duels were incredible. When Osha comes to in the darkness and we can hear the distant lightsaber noises, and we slowly realize WHAT IS HAPPENING and the absolute dread of counting the group and realizing people are missing, the confusion, her basically tripping over bodies while the lightsabers move distantly in the forest, the tension between escaping and going back, and ugh, the “was that its name?” line. I was absolutely yelling at the screen at a point. The atmosphere of that whole sequence was tremendously successful for me as a viewer, at least. It was scary and horrible and interesting. It left me with a real feeling. A GROSS BAD SCARED ONE, but damn, effective.

Qimir’s Sith getup absolutely looks like they slapped the coolest-looking Halloween mask on the hottest guy at a t-shirt LARP but I’ll allow it because he is so well-acted, and ah, SO hot, and it all comes out very scary. I see why they needed him to do some horrific shit so we would take him seriously as a villain. His reveal is funny for me because yes, it’s laughably obvious, who else would be the Sith? At the same time, I genuinely like it? We need some different types of Sith characters besides “bad old man” and “brainwashed monsterchild” and he feels fresh and intentional. 

So the total party kill: I am wondering how the show moves on from this, because narratively, it seems like we’re about to get the much-uglier version of what happened with the fire and everything and the inevitable crisis of faith/break with Sol/ “ACTUALLY it was the Jedi who were wrong,” and I was not looking forward to that aspect before they wiped out almost the entire Jedi cast. The timing of it all is going to be hard for me as a person who loves Jedi and is watching the show because of that. I like nuance in stories, but I think that "but what if the Jedi were BAD" storyline is really worn out for me after 20 years of prequels discourse. At the same time, I think not pulling punches is a good thing in media, but it’s something of a balancing act. Would the first season of Game of Thrones (I prefer the book, but there’s no denying the cultural movement that was the show) be the same without the gutpunch of Ned Stark’s death and how it launches the plot forward? On the other hand, look at Glenn’s death in the Walking Dead, which seems to have been the point of mass exodus for many (most?) fans, or the pointlessness and shock value in the ending of Killing Eve? 

So I don't know, is icing the Scooby gang going to turn out to be a good narrative choice? I know a lot of people are left wondering "wait, all my favorite characters just died, why am I even watching this?" At the same time, people are absolutely talking about the show. Quite an inflection point in the narrative.

But gosh. Ugh. FAM. I have so much narrative exhaustion from watching Jedi be Jedi, courageous, loyal, true-to-their-values-and-duty Jedi, and die for it gratuitously on screen.

crowley and remus birth a cerberus-esque monster—go!

I can't decide if Crowley knocks Remus up, or if this monsterbaby hatches from one of Crowley's eggs that Remus happened to fertilize....either way, no one is more surprised than the two of them!

Anthony "secretly good with kids" Crowley tries to be all menacing about it, but he's just. so soft. and he loves his monsterbaby so much. He cuddles them and sings them terrifying lullabies and threatens to bite the head off of anyone who looks at them funny.

Remus is fond of monsters and magical creatures, but he's also allergic to responsibility, so he immediately runs away....

....Right to Sirius's doorstep, and once Sirius gets the whole story out of him, he's furious with Remus for running away and abandoning his kid (and later on, he cries a lot into his pillow because Remus had a baby and it wasn't with him).

Aziraphale is just upset because when he and Crowley get back together, Crowley has his monsterchild half the time, and rare books and cerberus monster babies do not mix.

Hi! No, it’s not possible, facial features can only inherit from parent to child, there are no recessives (just in eye/hair color) :)

The mighty Wolfgang has arrived in all his glory! Let’s see what we got headcanon wise.

- Headcanon age for To Who Knows Where: 45 years old

- Wolfgang has been in The Constant for a long time now. How he got here is unknown at the moment. All that is known is Maxwell probably had a hand in it. 

- Wolfgang’s fear of the dark stems from PTSD from being in the military. Nights out on the battle field were never exactly calm and sometimes fellow troop members would leave during the night and never come back. He fears the same happening to him. (And rightfully so considering the situation with darkness in The Constant.)

- At some point after being in the services Wolfgang found himself in the circus life as a strong man. A much more calm and fun life. 

- His odd condition of being strong when on a full stomach and weak when hungry is still something the others are trying to understand. (Wilson in particular.) Wolfgang doesn’t really talk about why this is. He prefers to keep it to himself.

- Wolfgang does his best to be brave and look out for everyone. He wants his comrades to be safe and know they can always count on him.

- Wolfgang often refers to Wilson as Tiny Egg Head Man or Small Science Man, due to him being scrawny, a scientist and one of the shortest men in the camp. (Wes is just a few inches shorter than Wilson.) Much to Wilson’s chagrin. 

- Wolfgang actually has nicknames for everyone and each are pretty self explanatory.

Wendy - Creepy Girl

Whether each person likes their nicknames is varied but they all take it in stride. (For the most part.)

- While it’s uncertain, it’s quite possible Wolfgang is of both German and French descent. Possibly half from either parent. Grew up for part of his life in Germany then eventually moved to France. (And eventually made his way to the United States with his circus troupe.)

- Wendy kind of creeps Wolfgang out a little. Mainly with her morbid humor. (He ain’t a fan of it.)

- Wolfgang loves sparring with Wigfrid. She’s the only one who can keep up with him in might and it’s always a fun time. (The two are very good friends.)

- Wolfgang, while he can speak English alright, it’s not his first language. That goes to German first then French second. Reason his speech patterns can be a bit broken.

- Wolfgang gets along quite well with Warly. The man makes the best food out there and Wolfgang appreciates his kind nature. (Warly’s actually teaching him how to cook some of his favorites. He considers Wolfgang is best sou chef with how helpful he is.)

Someone was out there. Rustle, rustle, FLASH. A bright light glared harshly upon his crouched body. His matted fur and ragged self was on spotlight for whoever found him. A man-made light, a human found him. He clawed his arm to hide his chest, but it could not mask the pain searing itself there. An accident, of course. They ran away, too close to human civilization. They left him behind to get caught. What was this human going to do to him?

The once frightened man only stared down at the creature before him in shock. He had ran into something while he drove home. A flurry of animals leaped across the road, above his vehicle, then one, who miscalculated the jump, took a blindsided hit in the chest, barreling itself into the vegetation past the road trenches. The man, Ivan, quickly pulled over in panic and raced out into the darkness of the forest around the deserted road. Regret. He didn’t mean to. It was his highest intention not to mean any harm. Even if this creature was...very much so extraordinary.

Ivan found himself taking the creature into his car and wrapping him in a blanket his so happened to have. Winter was descending down on them, along with the holidays, but those were far from his mind. He better be thankful that it wasn’t snowing too hard or the roads could have been harder to navigate upon. The wolf man, werewolf? Other? Well, the creature just sat there in the back, sniffing at the window, gazing at the world rushing by in a blur, his claws digging into the blanket as Ivan determinedly drove on, hoping no one would think of peaking through his backseat windows.

It was decided to clean the shivering and dirty puppy up. Ivan had to gently pry its...his...arms away from his curled up fetal position, only to gasp again for the knarly gash in the matted fur of his chest. First things, first, he had to clean him up with duel hopes of washing the wound out a little. He must’ve cut himself in with the impact. Ivan gave the poor guy repeated apologies, a sweater and sweatpants that he had, some food, and tied his hair in a ponytail that the puppy boy kept tugging at. It would just have to rest on his shoulder, Ivan thought. The pup followed Ivan around the house, making small barking noises at times and whimpers if there was something that he didn’t like. If he didn’t make much noise, Ivan would look at his expressive ears and tail.

It’s been about a couple of weeks and the two just shared a miniature celebration for Christmas as a big moon hung overhead as the pup, Alfred, Ivan had named him, snuggled into the other’s shoulder. He was already passed out and Ivan was about to drift off, as well. With one more fleeting glance at Alfred, he wondered if it would be life threatening if Alfred were to stay with him, instead of go looking for his...pack or something. He decided to ask him about it tomorrow, not exactly if he can respond in words. But the taller would honor his requests, even if it will be sad.

Little did he know, there were already forces that were watching for some time. They, too, would honor Alfred’s decision.

I chose number three of your first three picks, which is, the ‘ Ivan finding monsterchild Alfred in the woods (or somewhere like an alley idk) and bringing him home and learning the monster guy is perhaps a little more human than he thought’ one.
