A little context, in the game #monstercamp the sequel to #monsterprom , there is an ending where you turn all 6 of your romantic interests into various appliances. I thought of doing that, but for the romantic interests of the first game, Monster Prom, excluding Damian and Cal since they’re already in Monster Camp and have appliances forms. All I made so far are appliance form concepts for Polly, Liam, and Vera at the moment though. I’m working on Miranda and Zoe’s, and Scott’s is going to need some doing.

The Symbols on the “tornados” are Zoe: a version of her previous self, Sparrow: a Sparrow, Vera: a Snake, Oz: Nothing(Fear doesn’t look like anything), and Valerie: a cat

Discord, Tumult, Dread and Fear

Discord at the top, Tumult on the left, Dread on the right, and of course Fear at the bottom, Oz himself.

Many eons before coming to Spooky High, Oz was a part of a small tribe of ancient, powerful entities who travelled across many dimensions and terrorized monsters and mankind alike to sustain themselves. The four of them don’t actually have names, so each of them just goes by the concept they embody (which means that in the past Oz's name was only "Fear"). 

At some point, Oz unexpectedly developed a deep fascination in the mortals' way of living, and so he wished to explore the universe to find purpose to his existence beyond what he was made for. The other three were furious at his proposition, claiming that this means going against what they embody and thus it would contradict their existence. 

Their differences eventually led to a feud, after which Oz ended up being exiled by his kin, losing half of his power in the process. Oz was forced to wander aimlessly in the universe to fend for himself on his own. It took him years to regenerate back to his true form and find a new place he could call 'home'. 

Oz is very powerful, but not as powerful as he used to be, since he doesn’t feed himself as often as he did back when he and his kin wreaked havoc on a daily basis. He doesn’t miss his “family” and doesn’t wish to reunite with them for what they did to him. Spooky High is his home, and his friends are his real family.

MONSTER CAMP X ART CHALLENGE

Something super cool about Monster Camp is some fan monstersonas have ascended into NPCs, even if just doing a cameo. Most of these sonas are from Kickstarter backers; but Rachvza here was the winner of one of the first art challenges at this very Instagram.

Imagine that! Doing fanart of a game you like only to get awarded original art of your monstersona... to later see this sona ascended into an actual NPC in the game’s sequel!

Monster Camp has a good number of little wonderful things like this. We’re trying to think a lot out of the box, offering things that make you wonder what will you find next time you play. From a myriad of NPCs (even if just cameos) to WTF moments that disrupt what is expected from the game.

We thought this is a sequel so most of you know already the basics of Monster Prom. So here we should be capable of sometimes being brave and doing weird stuff just to push the limits of what this franchise can offer.

Like, woah, we’re putting a lot of time, effort and love on this. We know sequels (when of indie games) tend to do worse than the first game. So our challenge is how to make you excited again about a game around the same IP.

Oz’s Tornado now has a face.(It’s a spider because of how common arachnophobia is)
