Your take on Isobel and Aylin is absolutely galaxy brain and I love it so much. Taking the kintsugi scarring implication of making the damage a part of the subject's story and highlighting it… Isobel's messed up resurrection and all the sleepless, endless moon shield channeling that followed... the two reunited, but irrevocably changed… but still so beautifully touched by divinity and so in love... anyway I'm feasting. Thank you so much.

Yes, yes, YES. And I'm OBSESSED with how these two who have all those themes going on are tied directly to Shadowheart's story, and i WISH that was explored more in the game, because like.... what a PERFECT parallel it is for her story.

Her first solid brush with Selune, the thing that ultimately rents her connection to Shar (other than your friendship, which is arguably the biggest catalyst but not exclusive) is Aylin and Isobel. Not just Selunites, but The Selunite, the daughter of Selune and her only lover... and they're not at all perfect avatars of good, but fallen creatures in recovery. Touched and permanently changed by death and cruelty, just like Shadowheart herself. In them there is rage, grief, a struggle with their families. Isobel's father became her greatest enemy, the person who permanently rotted her body. Aylin is righteous and faithful to the moon, but cant help but wonder why her mother didn't help her; for all her obvious rage at Kethric and others that would try to exploit her, I think there's a lot of untouched anger and confusion and hurt she has toward Selune for having to endure what she did. Obviously these are not mirrors of what Shadowheart feels toward her actual parents - that is something all of its own that. man. I'd love to write about sometime, especially the way it connects to cult experiences, because I thought it was just harrowing and amazing... but it DOES mirror how she feels toward Shar, her spiritual mother. The confusion, and hurt, and certainly present but hidden rage, which only spills out in her occasional cruelty. Why did all of this happen? Why did this God have to do this to her? Why didn't she care like she said she did? Why was she capable of hurting me so deeply? What am I now? How will I ever come back from this? All of them have these caverns of lost time. Everything is permanently changed by the mechanations of things they once admired or worshipped, and trusted deeply. I'm obsessed with their whole Deal

Honestly, Danny is having such a good time right now. He gets to travel with Ellie, explore space, just have fun. Plus his secondary protector-instincts are having soothed despite him not technically doing any hero-ing anymore. Really his sister had the right idea when she decided she wanted to become a doctor, this is honestly a blast.

And if someone does end up passing away, well, Ellie is always happy to help soothe their spirit and guide them to the Realms where they can reach their respective afterlife. Or become a ghost. 

They are completely oblivious to the fact that there are now legends and entire temples dedicated to them now. Apparently accidental ascension is in fact a thing, as Dan later laughs at them about.

long-story short, Sun doesn’t believe he has emotions since he is a robot 😔

of course, he sees Moon and Eclipse emote all the time. he usually attributes it to Moon being a fool (believing he is something he's not) and Eclipse being manipulative (given that he was originally built for the theater)

but there is a part of him that wonders if he is missing something—he just doesn’t understand what that is

Note: i should also mention, his voice is almost completely monotone. the closet idea of a voice claim for this Sun is Greg Chun's voice for Lukas from Fire Emblem Echoes—fairly even in tone, somewhat soft

AU info

Villainous trio is a villain group of three Eclipses that live together in a bunker deep down under the pizzaplex

Jigsaw (Ruin)

Jigsaw is the leader of the trio, the evil mastermind who comes up with most of ideas and plans to make Sun and Moon’s life as miserable as possible. He may seem like a very nice and harmless guy at first but he’s much more dangerous then you would think. Not even his minions know what’s actually on his mind. He’s also a carrier of the RUIN virus and even though isn’t affected by it, it makes his body more fragile and easy to break. His metal crumbles slowly exposing his endoskeleton but it doesn’t seem to bother him that much

Eclipse

Eclipse is Jigsaw’s right-hand man and also his bodyguard. Not willingly of course. He was brought back to life and now has no choice but follow Jigsaw’s every step because the virus he was infected with makes him obedient to his master. This Eclipse is more aggressive and blood-thirsty than his previous versions due to the same virus. Every now and then he feels hunger which drives him insane and makes him seek for human flesh

Solar

Solar is an evil scientist whose passion is inventing new machines and blowing them up afterwards. He ran away to this dimension after loosing his only friend and killing his Moon. He was found by Jigsaw who promised him a good lab and plenty of time for his hobby. Solar agreed and now he’s the main inventor and mechanic of the trio who is always happy to work on new projects

So. Villainous trio AU is an AU where Eclipse, Jigsaw and Solar are a group of antagonists working together

Solar:

Solar is brain of team, a mechanic with crazy scientist vibes who can spend weeks in his lab working on some weird machines that most likely won’t even work. Sometimes he builds them just to see them blowing up. Something went boom in the kitchen? Don’t worry it’s just Solar making himself some coffee

Solar killed his Moon after numerous threats and abuse and ran away to a different dimension. He still keeps Moon’s hat like a trophy making Eclipse envious

Jigsaw (Ruin):

Self-proclaimed leader of the group who comes up with most plans and ideas. He is also a carrier of the ruin virus and creator of Eclipse. His personality is almost identical to one he had when first appeared in sams

Eclipse:

Eclipse was infected with the ruin virus by Jigsaw which made him more aggressive and uncontrollably violent. I think the next part will explain everything. It’s honestly my favourite thing about this AU

The ruin virus:

I searched what exactly this virus does in sams and found some facts about Ruin’s dimension instead. So I used them to create my version of this virus

The ruin virus makes animatronics much more aggressive and blood-thirsty but also more fragile and quick to break. That’s why infected animatronics need repairs more often than others. However they don’t turn into some brainless zombies. The virus just makes them really hard to cope with emotions, especially anger and intolerant to humans

I also found that animatronics in Ruin’s dimension have their own hierarchy and thought… what if it’s not just a way to organize themselves but an instinct to obey the one who infected them? So Jigsaw being the one who infected Eclipse made a very interesting “master and his servant” connection between them. No that doesn’t mean Eclipse is just some obedient dog now. This means it’s just more likely to see him next to Jigsaw than anyone else. Eclipse has no choice but look after him like a bodyguard because of the virus
