(aka s3 stobin accidentally acquire a magic baby)

Abby’s eyes are so big and soft and brown. They’re like his mother’s eyes, round and sweet. She’s so cute, even in the bland grey onesie the Russians put her in, which isn’t nearly as nice as she deserves. She deserves nice, comfy, pretty clothes — and a warm hat, because it gets cold in the evenings even in the summer.

“Steve,” Robin sighs, “I’m soooo thirsty. Can you hold Abby while I get a drink from the fountain?”

Steve holds his arms out before she’s even done talking. She snorts and passes him the baby, who blinks up at him with big eyes. The weight of her is perfect in his arms. He’s never going to put her down.

He follows dazedly after Robin, and the only reason he doesn’t spend the entire time staring at Abby is because if he manages to trip and drop her because he isn’t paying attention he’s going to blow up the mall.

He hands Abby back very reluctantly so he can take his own drink of water, then accepts her again gratefully when Robin goes back for more. He’d get some for Abby too, but he’s pretty sure babies this small aren’t supposed to drink water. It’s all moot anyway because they’re both running off to puke before Robin’s done her second turn.

He holds Abby very carefully to avoid getting her dirty — either from the puke or the gross bathroom floor. She protests a bit but doesn’t start crying again so all in all it’s a success.

“Oh god,” Robin groans, “was that all of it? I hope that was all of it.”

“Think so,” Steve grunts, wiping his mouth with some toilet paper. It’s really flimsy, he hates this place.

“Quick, ask me a question.”

Steve blanks. He can’t remember any question he’s ever asked. He looks at Abby, then down at the toilet bowl.

“When was the last time you pissed your pants?” Whatever, that works.

“Today,” Robin says, sounding almost amazed. “When that Russian doctor took out the bone saw. It was just a little bit though.”

Steve laughs softly, tipping his head back to rest it against the wall. Definitely wasn’t all of it, then.

“Your turn.”

Robin hums. He can see her shoes tap-tapping against the tile through the small gap under the stall.

“Well, I was gonna ask if you’ve ever been in love, but after seeing you with Abby… now I’m wondering — why did you break up with Nancy Wheeler?”

Ah. Ouch.

“She broke up with me.”

“Wait, what?”

Robin scrambles up and around into his stall, crouching in front of him and Abby.

“She broke up with you?”

Steve doesn’t understand why she looks so confused. He nods.

“I mean, technically, yeah,” he says, and she tilts her head in confusion. “It was, uh, Halloween. Tina’s party, you remember. She was drunk and she started going on about how we killed Barb and our whole relationship was just…” —he swallows, looks away— “bullshit. That we spent a whole year pretending we were in love. When I talked to her the next day she couldn’t take it back, so.” He shrugs.

“Holy shit,” Robin whispers. “Steve, I’m so— I thought you broke up with her because you didn’t want to settle down or something, holy fuck.”

Steve laughs, “Settle down? Nancy? No, she’d hate that. She has all these big dreams, and she’s not exactly bad with kids but I don’t think she really likes them either.”

He looks down at Abby, strokes her soft little cheek. “No, if anything I was too boring for her, not the other way around.”

“You’re not boring, Steve,” Robin protests. “Wanting to settle down and have kids doesn’t make you boring.”

“What about you, then?” Steve asks, and it should be a simple question except Robin looks like she’s going to throw up again.

“Um, well, I don’t know,” she says, eyes fixed on the toilet roll. “I guess it sounds nice, but…”

She takes a deep breath.

“Do you remember… what I said about Mrs Click’s class?”

Steve nods slowly, “Yeah, you said you were obsessed with me because of my bagel crumbs, or something.”

“It wasn’t your stupid bagel crumbs,” Robin rolls her eyes, “it was because she wouldn’t stop staring at you. It was like she was half in love with you, bagel crumbs and all, even though you couldn’t more clearly be gone on Nancy Wheeler. She’d spend the whole class staring and sighing and I wanted her to look at me. Just once.”

“…Mrs Click?” he asks, because the blue drug might be mostly gone but his thoughts were soupy even before that.

Robin sighs.

“Tammy Thompson,” she says emphatically.

Steve thinks on this for a moment. He’d thought Robin was confessing to him earlier, back in the bunker, but apparently not because she was actually talking about a girl. But then, it still sounds..? Oh. Oh. Okay.

Well, he kind of feels like he’ll die without her at this point, so it’s not like he’s going to reject her for something he doesn’t really care about in the first place. Robin’s Robin, she matters more to him than who she does or doesn’t want to kiss. Besides, maybe if they aren’t dating then she can’t break his heart.

“Doesn’t she want to be a singer?” he asks dubiously, instead of trying to say any of that out loud. “That’s like the opposite of settling down. And she isn’t even good at it anyway.”

Robin’s jaw drops.

“Yes she is!” she protests.

“No, I’m serious,” Steve laughs, “she sounds like a muppet! We should get her to sing educational songs to Abby.”

“Steve!”

Steve starts singing through all the Sesame Street songs he remembers, except he doesn’t get far because he keeps laughing. Robin’s laughing with him, giddy with relief, and Steve feels his heart swelling into his throat again.

Hockey ask pt 2 bc I had this idea of Johnny ending up as a lifetime Devils player and by the time his contract his up and he can choose to sign or not, some reporter asks him if he will resign and he kind of looks at Daniel who's now like 30 and he thinks of how they've known each other since they were kids and they've known both the prettiest and ugliest parts of each other and is like, "You kidding? They'd have to pry me out of Jersey with a crowbar."

And Daniel watches the interview later and he's like, "Knew Jersey was better than New York." but the argument is so old and it doesn't even matter so Johnny's like, "Guess it grew on me." and by it he means Daniel.

Interviews in general are one of my favorite means of storytelling in fan works because they force characters to face themselves but also add a barrier between them and their love interest so there's this tension and AHHHH

with your first ask my answer seemed a bit lacking because tumblr deleted my responses three times!!! so that was kind of a summary, but I said in a previous version that Johnny would say stupid shit about Jersey in interviews and get into fights all over the place, but that it and Daniel would grow on him. SO WE ARE ON THE SAME PAGE HEHEHE despite you clearly knowing more about hockey than me LMAO.

ough God them growing together, being on a team together to witness the good and bad, the insanity and the intimacy, OUGH! God that dialogue you wrote between them really is driving me insane because that is so very Daniel, so very Johnny.

Yes there's the barrier of an interviewer being there but also, Johnny just has these reservations despite being a strike first guy! Oh, Daniel, please PLEASE I am begging you to look into your teammate's eyes and see that he means YOU have grown on him. and you're not kids anymore and you should think about the future (the sports journalism scandal in the making about you two being lovers, of course)

I also talked about New Yorker Johnny in a response tumblr deleted. It was mostly in the lens of making fun of him for still being a baby about the cold despite being a New Yorker and a hockey player (and I was talking about Daniel keeping him warm, WHATEVER HAHA) but I mention New Yorker Johnny because of what you said about him becoming so attached to New Jersey.

A moot and I simply love shoving Johnny into Newark especially, because the LaRussos are there! If Johnny really does become a fixture in the Devils team and Daniel and Johnny grow to appreciate and depend on each other after the rocky, often bloody start, I'm sure the LaRussos get to watch Daniel and Johnny cutely play ice hockey at local rinks (heavily bundled up with their famous faces hidden by scarves of course) when Johnny inevitably follows Daniel back home like a lost puppy.

There is something in me that always goes fucking nuts when Johnny finds a place of belonging. He is my special guy and I love torturing him but not more than I love tenderly placing him in a loving environment. New Jersey fights him and he fights it, but ultimately he fits into the state and the team and into a role where he and Daniel are so so very close. Ahhh!!!

Though, Johnny still argues the merits of New York over Jersey. He takes Daniel all the time, even if they probably end up living in Jersey...together 😈 hehehe when they retire and the world's a little kinder, they will be the cutest famous couple, I'm telling you. Yeah I'm jumping the gun with the ~romance~ but whatever, sue me. I'm crazy about them.

I'm in need of advice for something and you seem like the perfect person to ask. I really want to get back into writing fanfiction, but I don't have a lot of skills or time and only have decent motivation at best😭😭 I wrote a Slashers fanfiction (platonic) back in 2022 (that's now unfinished, there's only one chapter left to write) on Wattpad and it gained some attention and I don't feel like it was the best... that's pretty where my writing career ended😞😞

Soooo, the point is, what advice would you give to a beginner writer? It can be about anything, like motivation, time, improvement of skills, not mischaracterizing characters etc. I hope I'm not bothering you with this and you don't have to reply!! 😄😄

also, one reason that I have for wanting to get back into it is because there's a severe lack of gender neutral and especially male reader and I want to help at least a little bit with making more fics with that type of reader and because I'm in a decent amount of fandoms (20+) I wanna write for

FIRST, I just got moots. My first one was Krash (guys go follow him NOW.) I didn’t really write anything as first and I just kinda floated around tumblr UNTILL Krash gave me my first post to write!!!!!

He kinda helped me get my writing journey started! My first write wasn’t as best, but the more I wrote the more I got better! I make my writing so detailed because I get detailed requests.

And tbh I relate to the motivation you have.. cuz me too dude!! I just don’t like to rush myself or be rushed. But sometimes I just push through and it isn’t always the best since my writing gets sloppy.. but I don’t like to take too long and keep the person who requested waiting so long!

BUTT my motivation gets the best at night, when I’m watching something or just laying down. I just enjoy being in a quiet environment.

AND YESSS THE LACK FOR GN AND MALE READER IS SOOO REALLLL!! It would be awesome to write about that, but you can have multiple options and write about fem male and gn!!

But I just like to make my writing detailed because I find it more enjoyable!! It’s best if you get like detailed requests to help with that! I can always be your first request hehehehwhehahaw laughs

So always take your time, don’t make anyone rush you because you don’t owe anything to anyone when it comes to your writing! The more time you take, the more your writing will look at its best!!!

For motivation, whenever you’re feeling like you want to write its best GET UP and write before that motivation runs away from you.

Mischaracterizing is like, sorta hard to avoid since everyone has their own preferences on the characters they love. They all got their own headcanons and allat, AND YK THATS OKAY! That’s how I write Jason Todd and I haven’t been criticized for mischaracterizing yet!!

The way I improved is by reading other peoples works and I’m just like “wow, I want to write like that!” And I just like, try to copy the way they word words and how they write!!!

And this might sound corny, but I honestly improved my writing by listening to music that matches the scenarios, like angst, romance, platonic. That just helps me for some reason..

ok can i say something that is literally so embarrassing. the day that i worked a mid-shift at one target and then closed at the other target i accidentally went like 16 hours without eating. and it was genuinely unintentional and afterwards i was like what the hell is wrong with me why did i do this etc etc etc. but then anyway now it’s like. i know i can work a full shift without eating and it’s fine. so i’ve been like. Well basically if i feel like the interactions i have with people are only 95% perfect instead of 100% perfect or whatever then i don’t get to have dinner. and i did this on wednesday and i did it again last night. but the problem is since it’s a busy week for us they’ve been providing meals. and i don’t know why but the idea of somebody buying food for me makes me feel so so guilty. and then the idea of somebody buying food for me and me not eating it and/or somebody offering to buy food for me and me saying no also makes me feel so so guilty. and so it’s like. As punishment for not eating you are not allowed to eat. but yesterday i already wasn’t going to eat anyway and here’s the thing. i have NEVER eaten the food they provide for us. and it was soooo much easier to get away with this last year without anybody noticing. but this year it’s just. Well i guess everybody knows me better because we’ve worked together so long now so it’s all like oh holly don’t forget about the food. oh holly you’re not going to eat? and of course we have a different hr than we did last year too and last year hr guy did not give two shits if i did or didn’t eat. but of course our current hr is the guy who has always been my favorite lead and last night he had ordered chick-fil-a for us and i guess there were more original chicken sandwiches than spicy ones and he WALKIED ME to ask which one i wanted because he would have set aside a spicy one for me if i had wanted that. and i was just like oh god. oh fuck. and i tried to act like i was only just now finding out that we had chick-fil-a which was of course a lie because i saw the chick-fil-a guy and i’m pretty sure he saw that i saw the chick-fil-a guy but anyway my stupid ass was just like, “oh uh. i don’t really have a preference.” and then he said something like, “i hope you enjoy it,” and i’m just thinking SHIT!!! FUCK!!! now i literally have to go home and kill myself because i’m not gonna even eat it. but fortunately he left before my lunch break so he didn’t see that i didn’t eat it. and i wound up giving the one that was supposed to be for me to my coworker and then of course did not eat anything. and then i ate a small amount of food when i got home but apparently it wasn’t enough because i woke up at 7am starving. and then of course did not fall back asleep because i can never fall back asleep and tonight is the night that i will only get a minimal amount of sleep because after closing tonight i will be working an 8am-8pm shift tomorrow. so congratulations i played myself. and the worst part is they are still providing us food today AND tomorrow and i probably haven’t learned my lesson so i will probably wind up doing some stupid shit like this AGAIN. and there is literally no normal way for me to say “please don’t give me food i don’t want food” without sounding like i have something really wrong with me. because i guess literally i DO have something really wrong with me but that’s MY business!!! but like. i cannot lie and say i have dietary restrictions because they would try to accommodate me and that’s worse and you know that that’s worse. and last night when it was chick-fil-a i guess i COULD have said i don’t eat chick-fil-a because of the anti-gay thing but that’s kind of a moot point when the guy that bought it for us is literally a gay man lmao. and so i’m just like “oh i’m not really hungry” or “oh well it’s been sitting at room temp for a while so it’s probably gone bad” even though literally everybody else is eating it and they’re fine and even my mother who raised me is not quite That insane.

As for my day ngl I just woke up (for reference its about to be 3pm) because I had to go in at 7 am to get 2 MRI tests done amd that took 2 hrs and when I got back I tried to put my eyebrow piercing on and I almost passed out so i still haven't put it on because I tried eating a sandwich and drinking some water then fell asleep but I just woke up and tried doing some things and I feel very drained. My body feels super weak and I feel dizzy and stomach and chest feel weirs so not so good I guess.

But! I'm gonna try to drive like 5 minutes out and get me some real food and if I still feel terrible I'm gonna call my nurse, so we shall see!!:)

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all doing well💜

I feel like I say I’m not happy with my posts quite a bit, but the four I just uploaded are not as detailed. I’m heading to Hawaii next week for a much needed vacation and I wanted to cross off as much as I could before because I know when I come back my personal life will be hectic. I hope they are satisfactory enough in archiving the closeness and cuteness of Taekook🥰

Another thing that I thought I’d take the time to address - I think most people know at this point, but I have suffered with anxiety my entire life. My mind is my own worst enemy. I always find something to fixate on and be worried about, without fail. Even now, typing this makes me anxious! It’s so silly and frustrating. I’ve been writing a lot more recently, thanks to the encouragement of two dear friends, and that has helped as a distraction + studying Japanese takes my mind off things too.

The point I wanted to make with this is - I didn’t ever expect the timeline to blow up to the level it did. It blows my mind and I’m humbled by the support and response. It has been over 2 years since it was launched. Time flies! Of course, with the passage of time I look back and see things I think I could have worded better, but I’ve come to learn a lot of writers feel that way so I try not to think about it too much💜

Because I didn’t expect the blog to get as much attention as it did, my name and face are out there. Whereas a lot of people have the luxury of anonymity on platforms like twitter, I don’t. At this point I can’t change it so I just continue to upload sporadic personal updates because it is what it is now.

But due to that, and my anxiety, it means I’m a lot quieter. I tend to quietly like and RT posts. I love sassy, fiery Taekookers and do my best to like their posts as much as I can. But that’s just not my personal style as far as how I operate on platforms, to tweet and be loud. I admire those who do soooo much, and I have quite a few moots who do this and their tweets are favorites to read. I’m not going to apologize, though, because I’m quiet compared to others. I overthink things to the point even my simple tweets get read by three or four friends before I post. I highly doubt anyone else is like this! My mind works against me + I’ve seen people canceled for misconstrued things, and I’ve seen good friends doxed for an opinion, an opinion, which everyone is entitled to have, whether you agree or not, and it’s scary and disturbing. There’s life outside of Kpop and being online among strangers, but not for some people, sadly, and they have no problem taking their hateful hearts and malicious intents and harming people’s personal lives.

When I went to Vegas, harmless posts of me at the concert with a friend, taken by another friend + me posting my Taekook outfit, had hateful people quote tweeting us threatening violence. It was alarming, and it was sad. I still see those photos circulating with not so nice words. It’s disappointing people can be so vile over things like headbands (and it wasn’t just us wearing hybrid headbands). We made sure to enjoy the concert anyway, to not let their words have power over us. We didn’t spend that time and money for online keyboard trolls to ruin it. But it was not pleasant to see, tougher to get out of that negative headspace and enjoy the concert and it was a reminder I’m not interested in engaging with hateful people online.

I’m also tired of fandom police who think they should tell you who you should or shouldn’t follow, but that’s a complaint for another day.

I’d rather quietly and happily update my blog, tweet once in a while, and hype my moots who are loud. That’s my style. I barely even update on my personals on other platforms because it just gets to me. It shouldn’t. But it does. Anxiety just works that way. That’s just who I am. I’m here to support Taekook, not the people of the internet, and that means I’m going to support them in the way that is best for my mental health. The timeline takes up a lot of time, and I think some people fail to realize that. A 10 min video can easily take an hour to watch, draft, review and post, and I’m doing that in my free time, for free, because I want to and enjoy it. For me, my support comes from archiving their beautiful, precious moments. It may not be loud in the way some people tweet, but if we measured off of time and energy than I’d certainly be up there. I support in a different way is all.

Also - I think I’ve said this before, but I’m not in DMs, and haven’t been in quite some time. I hope no one finds this rude and I hope you understand. I’m very busy, more than anything. Plus, I don’t feel the need to be a temporary bandaid for someone’s insecurities or worries. Just believe what you like and don’t worry about what others think or say. I’m just here to support Taehyung and Jungkook, individually and together. And I believe, because they’re intrinsically good, humble people, beautiful inside and out, with so much talent, that the universe will always move in the favor. The rest - people’s negativity for instance - is background noise to me💜

I’m sorry if any of this disappoints people, and if someone has some sort of expectation of a level of loudness or response (on twitter for instance), but I’m under no obligation and I’m not going to feel pressured.
