Tigers being paired with you Definitely is the best possible outcome because you have created something for me to be Insane about. I could picture everything so vividly and i heard that one line where it was him going "I want you. I want you baby" and i just completely saw your drawing of them arms linked and extended and I lost my MINDD soup. spinning in circles and shimmying like a deep sea isopod ruffling up dirt on the seafloor look at me in my dead ass eye holes because i cannot express enough how much I love that. everything in this fic was pictured entirely in your style and I'm so fucking normal about that I promise. i LOVE seeing the little details you move from both cannon jrwi and your designs into the way they're drawing because, and I cannot stress this enough that this is a good thing, they all look like Them. normally with au's it's them slightly off or that's Them just in a different outfit but NOOO dude you got it so perfect. yeah that IS what they would look like that IS how they would dress and act and look and fucking DANCE bro 🗣🗣‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

Poor Stanny's been literally on the run from his government since he was 13, lost most of his family, has had to kill people, captured and experiemented on at 13, captured and experimented on AGAIN-- There's more but that's when it gets spoiler-y. Suffice to say, Stans not done with the trauma just yet >:)

But of all my OCs? Elias Byrne (from Alias Compromised and soon to be introduced to (un)official guide). This poor mfer was given up at birth, bullied for the way they look (only because of their power), scapegoated by the government and sent to a super prison even though they definitely aren't enough of a threat for that, got abused to shit in there, accused of killing an entire superhero team (made up of the only friends they ever really had) then quietly got sold off to an adult video company where they got even MORE abused to shit and back.

Then finally decided to become a terrorist about it all to try and incite change. Which... yeah, I'm sure you'll see what happens with that eventually lol. Again, there's more but. Yikes. I really put poor Eli through the ringer.

This is ofc very random but I absolutely love how you wrote Harry and his reactions to people arguing loudly or just generally arguing around him. SO that being said, do you make a written sheet keeping track of each characters personalities and traits and maybe even background stories? I really think all of your side characters are well written and isn't two dimensional at all and thats one of the MANY reasons why this fic is one of the best Ive read ((maybe not just fic but books in general))

This is really lovely, thank you so much! I don't keep a spreadsheet, though I do have a section of my outline doc that's basically a mini-bible for misc. characters — eye color, hair color, what their parents do, where they live, trivia that I can't remember on command. When it comes to characterization, I keep consistency through voice. If a character sounds the same, they'll feel the same, and inversely, if I can't imagine a character's voice saying something, then it's a good sign I need to stop and figure out what I'm actually trying to have them say. Or just restructure the story! Sometimes I throw something down in my outline, get around to writing the scene weeks later, and realize that the character went somewhere different, and I like the new direction better. Some authors describe this as characters having "lives of their own," but I think it's just ... authors having fun. You explored a new direction, you liked it more, you went with it.

Voice is much easier to get right when you've been working with the same cast as long as I have — Draco's voice has become so easy it's sort of like slipping into a second skin, though that's probably not helpful (like, "try writing 300,000 words from your character's POV, really helps you nail the cadence!" is not exactly Hemingway-grade advice). But even when you only have someone for three lines, it's crazy how much information you can fit in. Accents, slang, forms of address, level of formality, how fast are they talking, how long do they talk, do they gesture, how much — answering those questions requires you to think about where they come from, and how they approach a situation, and once you do that, you have a person. Even if you don't have a story arc, you still have a person.

Between a ton of re-writes, work, a mini-vacation, and getting involved in a project with an actual set-in-stone due date I've been pressed for Loner Phase time (despite going into the summer with it as my main project LMAO). Chapter 2 is pretty much...I wanna say 75% done? It's not even necessarily a very busy or complex chapter, but it sets up a ton of important stuff so I'm being very careful with it. Worst-case scenario it'll be the end of the month!

The scenes with Zenitsu and Hinatsuru in town were some of my favorites to write! They were actually some of the first scenes I wrote when starting the fic, despite not using them for several chapters. So I’m glad it stuck with you!!
