Confused, she emailed Columbia’s office for international students the following day seeking guidance. An official informed her that the revocation would take effect only if she left the country and that she could remain in the United States to pursue her studies for the time being, according to emails reviewed by The Times. The next morning, on March 7, Ms. Srinivasan was on a call with an official from the international student office when the federal agents first knocked on the door of her apartment, which is off campus but operated by Columbia. The official told Ms. Srinivasan to call campus security, while her roommate engaged with the agents from behind the closed apartment door. In an interview, her roommate said that the agents had initially identified themselves as “police,” declined to provide their badge numbers, saying they feared they would be doxxed, and stood to the side of the door so that they were not visible through the peep hole. The roommate, a fellow Columbia student who spoke on the condition of anonymity out of fear for her safety, said that the building’s doorman, who is an immigrant, later told her that he had let the three agents into the building because he was frightened. Ms. Srinivasan abandoned the apartment that night, so she was not there when officials returned the following evening. Her roommate once again refused to open the door to let them in and recorded audio of the interaction, which she shared with The Times. “We were here yesterday,” one of the officials says, believing he was talking to Ms. Srinivasan because the roommate had not identified herself. “We’re here today. We’re here tonight. Tomorrow. You’re probably scared. If you are, I get it. The reality is, your visa was revoked. You are now amenable to removal proceedings.” The official stressed that he and his colleagues were not trying to break the law, that she would have the right to go before an immigration judge and left a phone number for the Homeland Security Department that she could call if she had “a change of heart.” “That’s the easiest and fastest way to do this, as opposed to you being in your apartment and us knocking on your door every day, which is just silly,” he said. “You’re a very smart person. It’s just not — it’s not worth it.” The next day, Ms. Srinivasan received an email from Columbia saying that homeland security had alerted the university that her visa had been revoked and her legal status in the country had been terminated. Because she had to immediately leave the United States, the email said, her enrollment at Columbia had been withdrawn and she had to vacate student housing. The email, signed by the university’s international student office, said that, in compliance with its legal obligations, Columbia was asking her to meet with the homeland security agents. The university declined to comment on Ms. Srinivasan’s case. On Thursday night, three federal agents returned to Ms. Srinivasan’s apartment with a search warrant signed by a judge and went inside to search for her, according to her roommate and lawyers. By then, Ms. Srinivasan was already in Canada.
Laudable roommate, prudent visa holder and terrible college administration

Are you at all concerned about the ways antisemitism has been weaponized by the DOJ, the ADL and AIPAC? I.e. deporting people, doxxing people, hate campaign against Ms Rachel, defunding universities etc?
Yes -- I also think there's a distinction between eg Trump doing it (a non-Jew implicating Jews for his evil decisions, setting us up as a scapegoat) and eg the ADL (doing it because they're pandering to Musk et al because they're afraid of antisemitism). I think recognizing the difference between "powerful person setting up a marginalized minority to have anger directed their way" and "marginalized minority engaging in fucked up survival strategy" is pretty important.
With that said, I think a lot of Jews (including Zionists I know) no longer see the ADL as an organization with credibility. Especially since non-Jews ask us to answer for it.
Defunding universities is, I think, Trump doing Trump's thing and using "antisemitism" as an excuse.
I also think Mohamed Soliman being an undocumented immigrant is going to be used to the right wing to justify further crackdowns on undocumented immigrants and bolster the narrative of "dangerous illegals."
With all of that said -- I'm very wary at this point of the phrase "weaponizing antisemitism" because of how often I've heard it being used as a way to discredit any discussion of antisemitism, pretend antisemitism doesn't exist, or take up space in discussions of antisemitism. Like, a friend of mine once attended what was supposed to be an educational zoom call about antisemitism and iirc like 90% of it was about how weaponizing antisemitism is bad.
So it's like a double whammy -- being instrumentalized against my will by a man lauded by Neo-Nazis which is then causing potential allies to believe my oppression doesn't exist. It's a lose-lose.

yall goyim need to understand that antisemitism isnt just people being mean online and Ms. JK transphobia rowling having antisemitic tropes in her books. This is shit that happens online of course, just like any other form of bigotry, but it also happens to us in real life. antisemitic incidents can include, but arent limited to:
Defacing jewish symbols
Grafitti of antisemitic symbols
Insults appearances
Using antisemitic slurs
Stalking
Workplace discrimination
Housing discrimination
Education discrimination
Discrimination in mental health spaces
Discrimination in physical health spaces
General attacks on synagogues, chabad centers, and other jewish gatherings
Increased attacks on jewish gatherings during the high holidays
Bomb threats
Shooting threats (this may be a USA specific one if it is please let me know)
Sexual harassment
Sexual assault
Rape
Stabbings
Beatings
Bullying (physical, emotional, sexual)
Abuse (physical, emotional, sexual)
Being called pedophiles, rapists, baby killers, nazis, etc. (simply for being jewish not because we have shown any signs we are those things)
Insults based on various antisemitic tropes (blood libel, dual loyalty, Jews controlling the world, etc.)
doxxing
threatening family members and friends
property damage
a lot of other physical violence I didn't mention
targeting of jewish community leaders (esp rabbis)
isolation from the goyische world
chased out of our homes
forcing jews to assimilate
murder
desecrating jewish graves
mocking jews who have died
refusing to believe jewish victims of sexual assault
kidnapping
and probably more that i forgot! if you have anything to add and you're jewish pls do so
these are not rare occurences at all. I have had well over half of these happen to me personally or to a jew that i am very very close to, and I at least distantly know another jew who has experienced one of the others. This is a fucking terrifying thing to deal with and yall don't need to get it but you need to try to understand how bad it can get for us
