Watching all the people who don't understand that Shauna is a CLASSIC Byronic Hero literally living out her own Wuthering Heights as Heathcliff is driving me insane. Literally we don't get Byronic heroes in media anymore (and I'm using it as a literary term not as defining shauna as a hero but also I do support her wrongs) and Shauna is the CLASSIC case of it! Like byronic heroes are described as "a man proud, moody, cynical, with defiance on his brow, and misery in his heart, a scorner of his kind, implacable in revenge, yet capable of deep and strong affection" (Macaulay). TELL ME THAT ISN'T SHAUNA TO A TEE. Also the Wuthering Heights parallels of Jackie/Shauna/Jeff/Callie versus Heathcliff/Catherine/Cathy/Edgar parallels drive me insane and I could talk about them for hours.

and yes completely the intergenerational dynamics do have parallels as well though its all a bit more more swapped around. Jeff as sort of the "safe" substitute for Jackie but never quite enough, as Edgar was for Heathcliff. Be interesting to see if Callie has any kind of similar arc to Cathy going forward, or if shes corrupted instead.

I had that exact experience watching ted lasso exactly one week ago and have not stopped thinking about it since

i saw the premise and i was like "huh okay. i like uplifting media i bet it'll be good to have in the background." and then ten minutes into the first episode i was absolutely enraptured! the ability to make ted a complete character despite how easy it would have been to make him one note and boring! all of the relationships being so tightly written! nate! coach beard! keeley and rebecca! rebecca and higgins! roy! sam! dani rojas! hell even jamie! it's all so great!

I literally forgot how good Ariana's vocals were back in 2012 because of how much the quality has lowered in the last few years. Like, enunciation, breath control, vowel sounds, the actual pureness of the sound. #bringbackchesnutsqualityvocals

At our school whoever was on crutches was called Limpy/Gimpy. As soon as they were off of them the name stopped. No one would actively tell you if someone else was on crutches if they referenced them you just had to guess who they were talking about.

Honestly that is so mean at my school if you were on crutches you were treated like royalty like people carried your books and your bag and some teachers would even move their class if you couldn’t make it down the stairs but it was an all girls school and girls are angels as we know

its a not-very-funny joke i make about myself. i’m 19, but i was advanced a year in school, so sometimes i forget that i’m not the same age as my peers. so sometimes i accidentally think i’m a year older than i actually am. my age confusion only got worse when i got to uni, sometimes i think i’m 21, lol
