Wow.

so i just got done listening to Mammalian Sighing Reflex. I tried so hard not to cry listening to it but when I got to Melatonin 130 I just broke down from there and could not stop crying.

the lines in particular;

“the breathing exercises hurt, and dont do fuck all.”

“ill live with you until our bones grow old.”

“help, why the fuck am i feeling self-absorbed when im finally happy.”

hit wayyy too close to home.

the instruments throughout this entire album just tickle a part of my brain that i had no idea existed. they’re beautiful.

The vibes i get from this album is mostly; crywank and jack stauber mixed with obviously wilburs own style of writing and music. im not comparing it to those artists or saying he copied those artists but i just get those vibes and they are lovely. i fuckin love it. lol

ANYWAYS. Will Gold has fucking done it again with a masterpiece for the books. cant wait to listen to the album on repeat for the next few months until my brain melts into a puddle of goo.

I’m bad at keeping up with new music and I mainly just listen to the same artist old music over and over again so I decided to challenge myself to listen to as many new music as I can. Here's my song by song review of Billes new album "HIT ME HARD AND SOFT" because I thought it would be fun =) and I like listening to new artist and Billie is a new artist to me.

SKINNY- OMG THE LYRICS. Soft but sad start. The Sad Girl Anthem for real. It is so good, might not be on repeat because it slow but in my feels perfect. solid 4/5 as a song, but also the ending flowing into LUNCH omg Billie you genius

LUNCH- Such Sapphic energy. Also, this song is like Billie through this song is Billie flexing that she can get this girl anything. Also, I love Bille's songwriting style it is different from Taylor's. Also the the difference between SKINNY and LUNCH is crazy 5/5 I love this song and its vibe. I love Billie being more open about her sexuality

CHIHIRO- My favorite so far omg it is so good, the production is amazing I can't even. It is everything I personally like more than LUNCH. A little too long in my opinion but it was so good so it is not bad. The screaming type of production is my fav. 5/5 stars personally

BOAF- OMG I LOVE THIS SONG. I know it is about relationships but please this being a friendship anthem is so cute. TikTok favorite for a reason. I realize Bille's production is what makes her stand out. So sad and cute.

WILDFLOWER- WHAT HAPPENED IN JULY? This is kinda country a little bit. Strong sapphic energy also was back to the sad song. I really like it I can picture this song in a Desert but at the ending I thought we were on the next song but omg Billie you icon.

THE GREATEST- Billie girly you okay. Oof who is making you hurt like hurt like. Bille the yearning is killing you. Bille has a gorgeous has the greatest voice. This song is about being tired after giving your all, it doesn't just have to be about relationships but any relationship but the ending is godly. Yes Billie you are the greatest. Telling the person at the end that they could've been the greatest is diabolical

L'AMOUR DE MA VIE- I think this song is made for me. the production is more laid back and petty. oof this song is the world's calmest diss track. A Taylor feature would go crazy maybe just as crazy as he switches up. The man hating to sapphic pipeline in this song goes crazy. I feared that it was going to be too long it perfect. Also, I have no idea who Billie wrote these songs about but I hope they have a security guard there being attacked in this album.

THE DINER- Oooooo I love the vibe of this song. I love the sapphic vibes from the whole album. This is a hot girl stalking her crush's energy/anthem. Not my fav from the album but it's super good. The phone number at the end was a fun thing to do

BITTER SUITE- The intro is amazing. This song is the most relatable thing ever. Also, Bille has this thing were she will switch up the song completely which is fun butI kinda get tired of it. Also "You were in the foyer I was on my knees" is a crazy lyric. In my opinion it a cool song but it goes on for a little to long.

BLUE is the most relatable song ever and I just adore this song. Strong rapunzel energy. The deep/man voice part is crazy. This song is so sad yet amazing.

FInal Opnions-I adored this album and didn't cry lol like many other people. But it is so good mostly hits I would give It a 9/10 because some of the songs were to long but I definitely want to get into more of Billie discography

I've been spending lots of time on my assignment and school stuff. You know school is never a fun place, but prom maybe is a fun thing that school has. Fun fact, I've never been to a prom before because I felt very insecure about myself so I decided not to go to prom.

Looking back now, part of me feel regret but part of me is like "thank god I didn't go one" I think this song is exactly what I was thinking about prom.

Demo Review: Grausamkeit - Within The Abyss (1995)

heroin boy (BSoD)'s 3rd demo, released when he was only 15 and afaik not heroin Boy Yet. this shit bangs hard as fuck AND the intro was sampled in one of my favorite Sematary songs (10,000 Weeping Choirs). lets get into whats cool and not cool abt this funky piece of music

ok so first of all the production is absolutely AMAZING and by that i mean the music sounds kinda Like dragging a dumpster full of broken glass and used heroin Needles down a flight of stairs would sound. not that ive done that. or plan to. but u get the jist (gyst?) (fuck words). Real talk this isPretty perfect production for raw black metal, the riffs are (mostly) distinguishable as riffs, and the drums are audible but dont punch through The Mix very well, kinda creating a sonic slurry of analog distortion that creates a hypnotic atmosphere.

The songs r sick as fuck too. BSoD is prolly my favorite black metal musician ever, and one of my favorite musicians period. and i havent even been lsitenitt to him that long! this tape has dope black metal and he rly shows off his keyboard skills, espec on the song Dom Sathanas pt 1. Its kinda like if u got beethoven hooked on opiates and questionable political ideologies, gave him a cheap tape recorder n let him go at it.

This is music i can listen to In Almost any Mood.. i can chill out to it but it would also be somehwat Apprioptraite moshing Muisc to the exteant that black metal can be which TBF isnt Very. I do kinda wish there was more straight up black metal on this tape, as while i like the piano and keyboard stuff i really like when BSoD (Black Son of Darkness) shrieks with the force of a Methed out kindergartener over stolen Darkthrone riffs, pref with incredibly good synths playing in the back. overall super sick shit! could be more metal, but its still amazing

Do it all again by Joshua basset has one of the most beautiful melodies I’ve ever heard. The quality in his voice is absolutely perfect and the way the melody swells feels just like falling in and out of love over and over again. The way that the tonal quality of every instrument supports the tonal quality of his voice is masterful. It feels young and youthful while also feeling like a timeless love story. There’s so much maturity in the way the song was written and crafted but it still feels like your first love. Incredible.

It also has one of the most beautiful lines I’ve ever heard, the way he sings “so excuse the mess I made when you were mine, I’m still learning how to love” just punches me in the face and makes me feel so many feelings all at one time I just can’t even begin to fathom the feelings he was feeling if this is how intense my second hand feelings are. Truly he is an incredible songwriter and singer and performer.

Heres #2 & i consider this one special in honor of Jani Lane, 💔💕💌

The Band was formed in 1984 by drummer Max Asher who was still in high school. The Original lineup consisted of Lead vocalist, (at the time) Adam Shore, drummer Max Asher , guitarists Josh Lewis & Erik Turner and bassist Chris Vincent who was quickly replaced by Jerry Dixon . At the time the band did a hella alot of gigging around California. Opening for Hurricane , Ted Nugent , Stryper, Black n Blue and many others. But in Sept. '86, Shore and Asher quit to form Hot Wheelz . Which im going to have to check out later. But during this time they were working their asses off, trying to make it big like everyone else on the sunset strip.

Later that month Erik Turner was at a gig watching this band called Plain Jane who was a regular feature in the LA club scene . Erik ended up really digging the songwriting and vocals so he invited Jani Lane and drummer Steven Sweet for a jam session at Hollywood Db sound in Sept 1986. And that was it, Lane and Sweet along with guitarist Joey Allen, who replaced Lewis and Revamped up the band in 1987 (Hooorah) lolz As soon as Jani was recruited in the band he took on the role of being the songwriter for the band. Its so extraordinary to see and read about a bands transformation into stardom . Fucking amazing . Their peak of popularity was around 1988- 1996 with 5 albums reaching international sales of over 10 million. Their debut album, " Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinken Rich " went double platinum and so did the album " Cherry Pie " in the early 90s. " Dog Eat Dog " has a few good jams I'm not gonna lie. Jani Lanes voice is something I have to have a daily dose of 😂😂

Speaking of the 90s, as they were approaching becoming more of a mid 90s scene, Warrant knew they were going to be fucked as the sounds were changing as they sadly do. After their Dog Eat Dog Tour Jani had went on a solo career and the band got dropped by Columbia following the arrival of grunge and the death of their manager , Tom Hulett. in '93, Jani returned to the band and a toured for a short time in clubs in LA. Afterwards there was alot of change in lineup then in Sept '94 the band had gotten signed again byTom Lipsky of CMC Records in Sept '94.

Despite the bands drop in popularity, they released Ultraphobic in 1995 and a successful Greatest Hits album in '96, and they experienced a ton of highs and lows within that time. the 2000s led up to Jani leaving the band the band doing a reunion show with the new singer, Jaime St. James after that. ....

Then the horrid of all days happened and our beloved Jani Lane passed away from alcohol poisoning(supposedly) on Aug 11 2011. So they say, the office found his body in a comfort inn room with pills and alcohol also in the room . but i could only imagine what he was going through that led up to this if it was even an "accident". Let me know what you guys think about Jani Lanes death.

!Fun Fact! : Jani Lane really wanted to shoot himself in the head from writing their signature song "Cherry Pie" Although it was a Huge success, Jani Thought it overshadowed the rest of the bands work. It was a song the label wanted them to write and so he jotted that bitch down on a pizza box. He really didn't think the song fit their style and it didn't. Hella Cliche. btw, his real name was John Kennedy Oswald from Akron Ohio, named after JFK. Then changed it to John Patrick Oswald lolz

Moon by BTS's Jin's third official solo song, heartwarming and soul touching. I honestly cannot even explain how beautiful this song is, its easily one the best kpop songs I have ever listened, heck! Its might just be one of the best songs ever.

Lyrics-

Through the song, Jin metaphorical says that just like the moon is always there for the earth, silently revolving and admiring the earth. Jin always admires and is present for their fans, famously known as ARMYs or BTS'S ARMY. Jin is the moon and ARMY is the earth. Simple yet touching and so thoughtful. Not many artists write songs in such a way, especially dedicating it to their fans.

Vocals-

BTS has really good vocalists, but Jin definitely has his way of presenting a song. I love that this song represents his vocals in the best possible way. The high note before the ending was well presented! Wow! I wonder how high this man can actually go.

I hope we get such good vocals from him the future too.

Production

The production was good but it wasn't something special. I mean, probably I was expecting something exciting or different. But nevertheless vocals made up for it.
