The lights in the great ballroom had turned low and warm as the evening wore on. The music winded down, the colour and dazzle of sweeping dresses eased to slow dancing, wandering touches, as the wine flowed freely. It was prime opportunity for shadows to make their move, but Arazkhyll could see into the dark as perfectly as in the light, so he saw the moment a viall of clear liquid was tipped into one of the drinks.
No scent, no colour, and most likely no taste—all the more deadly of a concoction.
The King of Tiergarten was unmoved as he noted who that tampered glass was served to. He was standing in a private corner beside his secretary, flanked by two knights in the livery of his Court. He had sent one of them a few days ahead of the ceremony, as his representative, to convene with the host upon matters of diplomacy and their alliance. Arazkhyll listened with half an ear to a rundown of Diarmuid’s report, which eventually shifted to his men’s usual ribbing and nonsense.
“You don’t suppose these little nothings are part of the appetizers?” Thiazi said, his eyes following a human attendant as they passed him, bearing a silver tray. “Milling about until someone picks them and takes a chomp.”
“Some of the mortals here are more than nothing.” Diarmuid, his second-in-command, gestured with a slight nod. “I suspect public relations will suffer if they see their kin on the menu. But if you have a different craving for that redhead, now’s your chance.”
Thiazi let out a snort. “Too frail. They scatter like snowdrifts at a touch, I tried.”
“A Yuki-onna?” Diarmuid asked dryly.
“Met no jötunn with a more frigid heart.” Thiazi grinned. He should know, having been born of the ice. “Or a viper for a tongue. Ever had a lass eviscerate your cock and ride it to filth at the same time? I didn’t know if I should cum or cry.”
“The better the sex, the nastier the personality,” his general agreed woefully.
“Oh behave, you two,” Jul sniffed, cheeks burning. “This is a respectable event, and you’re both acting like a pair of dogs. Ahem. And has anyone caught your eye, my Lord?”
“A wolf,” Arazkhyll answered smoothly, which nearly made his finicky secretary faint on the spot. He handed Jul his glass to distract her and made his way over to the man. Diarmuid looked to Thiazi and mouthed, wolf?
More than a few bodies around them had turned caressing and intimate, so it was little effort to slip into the role of another interested suitor, another guest looking for company. Drawing close, Arazkhyll murmured a polite greeting. A small smile touching his lips, his hand slid up to rest lightly over the stranger’s and traced out his message in the common tongue. He let his fingers linger there once it was received, playing out the game.
“Raz. And indeed no,” Arazkhyll answered mildly. “I am fair certain I would remember you. But I would be glad to make your acquaintance, if you’ll humour me.”

It does not take asking around and prodding at strangers for him to find his sister.
It's far easier than that - far easier than their first meeting, an overdue reunion drawn out by a warring world - and he may, if asked, chalk it up to that idealized thought of family. Of course he would find her. There is no other answer. Like a lighthouse in a storm, he follows familiar flaxen hair as it flows down the hall.
"Nanna!" Diarmuid erupts like a crashing wave - he heralds her with a raised hand, and walks purposely closer, opening his arms for a hug.
"I've missed you terribly. How have you been?"
It's been a year, now. I missed you.
He was, for all he was worth, her light at the end of the tunnel. It was not fragile, but steady, pressed into the earth like a pulse—the kind she was left following since she was born. She gathered from the day that he arrived that her mother had never found him, and worse yet, that he had never known of her love. In her mother's stead, she stood in his light and thought she would love him, could love him. To no surprise, she did. So many years were spent echoing her own thoughts, burying her own roses, with no one to understand her as closely as the hallowed out tree she would whisper her secrets to. That is, until he came rushing in, knees buckling, hair slicked back in waves of dressed flax.
"...Diarmuid!"
Her shock immediately cocktailed with delight, sparking a sort of relief that could only render in his company. Wrapping herself tightly around his chest, she thought to be clever, to be bright, to be something or another. Instead, her heart spilled over, reminded that he was going to see through it all anyway. "As I've missed you...!" Her voice muffled in his shirt, before parted gently to let him breath. "I've been well!"
"..." The letters. She ought to ask about the letters. "I want to ask..." Pulling a strand of hair behind her ear, she mused about all the strange correspondence issues they had been having since they arrived. In fact, much of her own brother's letters were lost in the transitory mist, between sea and time. "Just... how long has it been since we've seen each other?"
"I don't want to assume... but..."

I tracked one of the Pact Commanders here, to a Pact camp. A Dawnbloom by the name of Finlaithe. She's busy researching the golden entities that reside in this part of the jungle. When I arrived and became a lieutenant of Mordremoth, the Exalted were already active. Older Mordrem have told me that they only came to life recently and at one point were dormant.
Our master fears their purpose.
No...not fears their purpose. Their purpose is anathema to him. He despises their existence, their very essence, their creation, all of it.
He wishes to see them destroyed, nO MaTTeR HOW MaNY sAcRIFICE THeMSELVEs tO BuY TIME.

I called to her, luring her away from the comforting embrace of the Pact Camp, and we spoke. Of course she was hesitant: I am a Mordrem, one of high rank in my masters forces.
We spoke of many things; her time with the Order of Whispers, of a Charr named Tybalt Leftpaw and his sacrifice at the hands of Zhaitan, of her battle with Scarlet Briar, and the difficulties she's had in convincing those around her that she is not a thrall to Mordremoth. As she got more comfortable in speaking with me...I have to wonder if she's smarter than she looks or if she's an idiot.
Does she not fear me?
Does she know something I do not?
Is this a trick to get me to reveal the grand design of the jungle dragon?
With an amused smirk, I cut through the pleasantries.

"Commander Finlaithe, you know I'm a lieutenant for Mordremoth, you know I seek to only corrupt and entice you away from your precious Pact, but you speak to me anyway. Why?"
Pausing to think for a moment, she mused in response.
"You intrigue me. You're not like the others. You haven't attacked me on sight, for one..."
I...suppose I'm not like the others. I told her of myself before my turning, of my Soundless origins. Unlike the others, she wasn't upset or afraid. No, she really was intrigued, wasn't she...that curious glimmer in her eyes enticed me.
"I don't strike fear in you? Not even a bit?"

Leaning forward towards her, I studied those eyes. Their expression. Was she genuine, or was there true, deep fear within?
"Well I would be a fool if I said I wasn't a little afraid. But I'm much more interested than afraid."
She leaned in close, studying me with as much intensity as I studied her, pondering.
"And I have to wonder...are you coming to recruit me? Or are you really here for my help, Diarmuid?"
That...was a good question. I never questioned myself, I never questioned that i belonged in Mordremoths embrace, but to see another like me that didn't think I was vile or misguided or pitied me?
Out of all of my travels across this world, this was a first.
She didn't feel sorrow or pity for me like my brothers and sisters did. I want her as my own, to corrupt so she will never leave me. So she will always stay intrigued. Whether this sudden urge to keep her was from Mordremoths thoughts or my own, it didn't matter.
"At first, yes. I came to recruit you...but I have grander plans for you. Something greater than us awaits. Something greater than the Pact, greater than the Pale Mother, greater than Tyria."

I walked closer to her, lowering my voice to a warm, smooth tone. One that would slither into her mind and wrap around it as a vine chokes out weaker plants.
"It is something you have yet to understand. I am patient, and I will not force your choice. Mordrem who were forced to be part of the jungle dragon tend to be weaker. They lose something in the process..."
As I extended a thorny, rough hand, for the first time in forever I felt hesitance in myself. My hand paused. If I touched her, it would hurt her, wouldn't it? Fighting the urge, I caressed her cheek with the back of my hand as gently as I was able, leaning close and purring into her ear.
"Think it over, Commander."

What was your muse's personality like as a kid? How has it changed since then?
Ru was a very mischievous and curious child! He loved asking questions about everything he didn't understand, much to the annoyance of some of his minders growing up, haha. As an adult, he is still very curious and a mischief-maker, but he has learned to tone it down a bit and be more subtle about it.
Where did your muse grow up? What was their home like? Did they like where they grew up?
He grew up in several places! He was born in Markarth and lived there for the first five years of his life, then spent time as a nomadic refugee for eight years, before settling in and around Karthspire when he was a teenager. He loves living in Karthspire now, but will always feel a bit homesick for the Markarth he knew as a young child. In Markarth, his family lived in what is now the Thane's house, and in Karthspire they live in the cave system that surrounds the blood seal to Sky Haven Temple. (The "Forsworn camp" that is above Karthspire is actually just sentries guarding the real, much larger underground settlement and scaring away any would-be adventurers.)
What did your muse's family look like? Parents, grandparents? Big or small? Who was around the house when your muse was a kid?
Oh, Ruaidri had a big multigenerational family as a kid! He had three parents, five siblings, and a lot of aunts, uncles, and cousins, though only one grandparent (his second father's adopted mom, Ciara, who is a hagraven and spiritual leader of their clan. His mother's parents died before he was born, and his blood-father's parents are still around, but Ru has never met them because they are from a different, more isolated clan living in the Druadach mountains, though he does want to meet them someday.) Most of his family could be found in or near the house at different times of day on a regular basis.
How was your muse's relationship with their childhood guardians? Has it changed over time, and if so, how? Do they keep in touch?
Ru actually hardcore resented his uncle for a long time, blaming him for not being able to get more of their family to safety. As an adult, their relationship is getting better, as Ru learns to let go of that resentment, but it still a bit awkward. They do keep in touch and talk regularly, however, and they care greatly for each other despite their past strained relationship.
Does your muse have any siblings? What was their relationship like growing up? Is it any different now?
Ruaidri is technically the second youngest of six children, though after Ulfric's siege of Markarth he is the middle sibling of two surviving sisters. He was an absolute Menace to his older sister growing up, as well as almost smotheringly protective of his baby sister due to the trauma of losing most of his family. He learned to mellow out once his baby sister started to really come into her magic, however, and now is very happy to just be an annoying older brother to her, haha.
Did your muse have a best friend? Friends? Who did they hang out with as a kid? Are they still friends?
Ru has a few friends, most prominently Diarmuid, a journeyman wardcrafter, who remains a good friend. They had a friends-with-benefits relationship when they were teenagers, but have not rekindled that aspect of their relationship as adults.
Did your muse have any enemies? Playground rivalries? How did that turn out?
Ru was generally well-liked, and had only one "enemy" of sorts: Muiri, who used to fling mud at him when he didn't want to play potion-making with her anymore. He gets a kick out of re-meeting her when she's an apothecary's apprentice as an adult.
What did your muse do in their free time? How did they entertain themself as a kid?
He liked making "sculptures" out of river clay with the other kids, and also painted pebbles and bits tree bark.
What was your muse's education like? Did they go to school? Did they like it?
Reachfolk education is incredibly hands-on, and whoever has the time and resources to teach young children is expected to do so to the best of their ability. Ru loved learning new skills, and felt proud whenever he got a new skill right, as he was learning to contribute to and give back to his community. Ruaidri does not encounter a "traditional" classroom setting until he goes to the College of Winterhold, and generally hates that style of teaching. He starts bringing knitting or basket-weaving tools to classes so he has something to do with his hands, and it helps him feel that the learning is "productive".
What responsibilities did your muse have as a child? Chores? Babysitting? How good were they at fulfilling their responsibilities?
Ruaidri, like all Reach children, was expected to help out wherever he could, be that in babysitting the very young children, making baskets, fishing, gathering firewood, chopping vegetables for cooking, or foraging for medicinal herbs for the healers to use. He did very well at fulfilling his responsibilities, but had to be reminded he needed to rest, too, as he had a tendency to overwork himself at times.
What expectations were placed on your muse as a child? Who had those expectations for your muse? How did your muse feel about them?
The expectations placed on him were to give back to his community and assist his clanmembers in whatever ways they needed, and they were expected to assist him if he needed it. He has always felt very comforted by the knowledge that he can ask for assistance and expect it to be given, even if he sometimes struggles with asking for that help.
Did your muse go on any trips or vacations as a kid? Where did they go? How did they feel about traveling?
Most of Ru's traveling was while he was a refugee, and it was marked by fear and scarcity, so he did not like it very much. The last family trip he went on was when he was three years old, to visit an aunt in Karthwasten, but he does not remember this.
What did your muse want to be when they grew up? Did they have any childhood dreams, and have they achieved them?
As a child, Ru wanted to be a werewolf like his blood-father. (he thought it was So Cool that his dad could turn into a giant wolf whenever he wanted) He also wanted to be a master archer, like his second father. As an adult, Ru becomes a werebear, which helps him feel closer to his blood-father's memory, and is an exceptionally skilled archer. He is also a devotee of Hircine, in honor of his mother, who was a priestess of Hircine.
Who was a mentor or a hero to your muse as a kid? Why did your muse look up to them and what did your muse learn from them? How is that relationship now?
Ru's mentor growing up was a woman named Nathari, a Reachfolk Dunmer vateshran, who taught him archery and Reach history. He looked up to her for her historical knowledge, as she was present for many of the stories she told him, being an advanced 412 years old at the beginning of their mentorship when Ru was fifteen. (She also attempted to teach him magic, but the only magic Ru ever gained proficiency in was ice wall, warding and conjuring a bow.) He still has great respect for her, and treats her with the formality a vateshran is expected to be given.
What's one childhood memory that has stuck with your muse over the years? What's its significance to your muse now?
A childhood memory that has stuck with Ru is the last time he saw his parents, during the siege of Markarth, and was a deeply traumatic experience for him. As an adult, he still carries that trauma, but also has learned (with therapy) to stop feeling personally guilty for his parents' deaths, and has come to respect what their decisions to sacrifice themselves for their children means: that they were loved, all of them, fiercely, enough to be worth dying to defend.
If your muse could say one thing to their childhood self, what would they say? Would your muse want to meet their childhood self in the first place?
He would want to meet his childhood self, to tell him that he needs to put all that anger down, that he needs to let go of that guilt, because it will only end up hurting him (and his family) in the long run.
How is your muse with kids now? Do they want kids of their own? What lessons from their childhood would they pass on to the next generation?
Ru is very good with kids! He has one daughter so far, Lucia, who he adopted in Whiterun, but he wants to have lots of kids someday, to give them the kind of family he had when he was very young. (he ends up adopting most of the orphans in Honorhall and a few from various cities in Skryim, and his clan welcomes all of them happily) He would do his very best to instill a sense of compassion and community in all his children, teaching them everything he knows to the best of his ability, and working with them to find other teachers for the things he can't help with. He teaches his children the importance of knowing when to speak up for a friend, and when to trust them to fight on their merit. He teaches them how to communicate their feelings better than he did as a child, in hopes that they will not turn out as damaged as he did.
What's one thing that instantly transports your muse back to their childhood? Why?
The smell of rosemary and lavender reminds him of his mother's hugs, because it was the smell of incense in Hircine's shrine and it clung to her robes.

[Water ] - The liquid of life, the quencher of thirst. Served in crystalline glasses. And what’s more dramatic than throwing water at someone’s face!
For someone as large as Ares, people typically expected him easy to pick from a crowd, and perhaps in one less large and packed than tonight's, he might have been. The same could be said when you were actively looking for him. But when it came to being unseen, those same folk tended to underestimate how far minding your own business and keeping quiet could take you to the background of any scene. Not that he was actively trying to hide though, and it was such an easy trick to dispel besides:
"You're looking rather red this evening."
Ares didn't even need to raise his voice to break the illusion, and the next thing anyone noticed would be a man in black, suddenly standing closely beside a small blonde and casting him a scrutinizing eye. Not at his clothes, but very clearly his face.
Looks like that always wound up intimidating when they came from Ares, but they were also frequently (and unintentionally) deceiving. Instead of any criticisms or interrogations, Ares simply held up a cold cup of water.
"I didn't think it so warm in here," he mused, oblivious to any further context that could be gleaned, "though I suppose I do lean hot myself." Gently, his hand guided his cousin's up to the cup and pressed it against the side to encourage a grip. A habit he picked up from a young age, to support a certain set of hands that were often too weak and frail to keep things steady.
"I wished to ask for a trade of brooches," he said, pulling his hand back to gesture at the black feather pinned to his top, before switching to over his shoulder, directly towards the doors far behind him. "But you should go cool down in the garden first."
"I assure you, I'm fine, cousin!"
There is a laugh on his lips, but he does not turn down the offering of drink. It is a marvel to him, even now, the way that a man as large as Ares can disperse into a crowd so easily. He is grateful, at this moment, for his cousin's bullheaded ignorance.
If Ares got it in his mind to tease him, after all, Diarmuid fear he would wilt on the spot.
"You were given the black feather, then? It suits you!"
A sip of the water, and an exhale. He does feel cooler, now, and it feels far easier to breathe.
"Ah, but, before we trade - tell me, do you plan to take Lene to the Goddess Tower tonight? I may have just arrived, but I've heard the stories, you know!"

Thorn Stanton – Son of Alexander Stanton and Abigail (needsmaidenname), a former Hyrulean royal guardsman and a Gerudo outlaw. Will keep his lineage secret at nearly any cost. Raithyon Blackscale – Son of Tarhun and Tatyan Blackscale, who perished when the Blackscales' home Sableflame was destroyed by monsters. Also has a deceased younger brother, Mugrunden, who died in the same. Raven Allaway – Son of Devin Allaway and Rowena (needsmaidenname). (Twilight Princess verse ONLY: Notably, Devin is the son of Link Allaway, the Hero of Time.) (Age of Calamity/Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom verses ONLY: Devin is deceased, killed in battle when Raven was a teenager.) Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule – Stated (by mun, this is headcanon) to have been born to a noble family in Lanayru. Taunch Kimbatuul – Born to frost dragon father Madrash Kimbatuul and Hylian mother Caomh (needsmaidenname), the latter of whom died of illness despite Taunch's best efforts to find healthcare for her. Vair Bhelthir – Born to Gildas Bhelthir and Lavena Glynn, who were both killed by a flame dragon that destroyed their holdings. Notably, Vair has a younger sister, Cara, who lives. Wulf Arcuna – Born to Reim Arcuna and Gazenir (needslastname), as Lita's younger brother. Tragically, his parents and older brother died shortly after his birth. Wynne Mulrennan – Born to Diarmuid Mulrennan and Riona (needsmaidenname). Has a younger full sister, Aine Mulrennan, and a number of bastard half-siblings, courtesy of Diarmuid's indiscretions. Zehka Orokane – Known to have hatched to a family of wild sky dragons, and was disinherited for being clumsy and lacking in intelligence.

Things are unfair, aren't they?
The seventh day ends and the moon rises, but it is not the only thing that does. As the village of Rusalka descends into despair, the nightmares come out in full force. Some of you have encountered them outside of the walls, some of you remember them from a year ago. But despite some level of anticipation, the scuffle over the corpses and the deterioration of Rusalka leaves the village unprepared for the onslaught.
Miasmic slimes, corpse trees, and other nightmares flood the village on all sides, and though the walls, fortified by Lachesis and Andrei, help prevent any casualties, the village of Rusalka sees this as the final straw.
"Everything started going bad once those people came in…!" one villager asserts.
Another cries out, "They're the reason! If they hadn't come, we… we would've still been whole!"
Perth — or was it Celephais, your brain thinks intrusively — the town leader is called to action. He decrees that those that have done nothing good, those of the highest suspicion, are to be cast out for the sake of Rusalka's defense. They see you as the enemy, and the villagers evaluate everything your group has done this past week— who deserves to stay and who cannot.
For Naesala, Yarne, Ephidel, Forsyth, Saizo, Lachesis, and Chrom, people are more reluctant to vouch for them. They are kicked out of Rusalka and now deemed the 'Outsiders.' As for the rest, Eir, Katarina, Andrei, Isadora, Selena, Hilda, and Byleth find that they still have supporters and are allowed to remain within the family that Rusalka has cultivated, and they are dubbed the 'Insiders.' 
But your circumstances are not the only ones who have changed. The people of Rusalka are not the same since your arrival. Their village, just as Keranes has sought to do, is beginning to dismantle…
…but so are you.
The Circumstances
The group is no longer treated as one big unit and is physically apart. All Public Opinion can no longer be changed, your individual actions from last week having been accounted into deciding where you have been separated for this week. You are unable to interact with muses of the other grouping category for the duration of this week, though you are allowed to continue and close off threads with those muses started during Week 1.
The Outsiders
For the Outsiders, you find that once the sun rises, Saizo disappears into the light. You must wait until night falls, but when you do, he returns and so does Keranes, though the former isn't quite what he used to be…
Keranes explains that due to the group's efforts, Celephais's power has grown weaker, causing Rusalka's false paradise to become unstable. Additionally, all the corpses that made it outside of the walls are now returned, no longer sedated by Celephais's magic. You find Python, Brigid, Emmeryn, Panne, Kris, Ryoma, and Hel as floating spectral figures.
They have returned as Vengeful Spirits, and Keranes states that they have bonded themselves to their most important person here. Forsyth and Python, Chrom and Emmeryn, Yarne and Panne, and Saizo and Ryoma are now companions in the night. Since Lachesis was able to bring Diarmuid's corpse with her, this is also true of the two of them as well. However, due to the deceased being vengeful spirits, this classifies them as nightmares, and they are unable to be present in the daylight, however they make strong allies for the big fight on the horizon.
Saizo appears to operate similarly to the Vengeful Spirits. He shall find that he feels himself changed, consumed by the darkness and the ruin that stains his hands after the events of the previous week. He too is also only able to exist in the night time, but he has gained new, eldritch power for the cost of being weak to the light.
Keranes states that everybody can be returned to as they are meant to be, that they can return to reality, once she finishes dismantling Rusalka and the false promise of happiness and co-dependence that Celephais has inflicted upon them all here. She will need time to amass her army of nightmares, but she plans to strike once she is ready. She states it shall likely be in three days (every two IRL days equal one in-universe day for this week) from now. She recommends you ready yourselves too.
But as the dawn rises, you realize that without being allowed into Rusalka anymore, you shall have to find shelter and fend for yourself for the next three days… however difficult that may be.
Unable to leave this tear, unable to enter the safety of Rusalka, it is you against the world… literally. 
The Insiders
For the Insiders, you are granted the safety of being within the walls of Rusalka. Being on edge due to the recent deaths as well as the attack from the nightmares, the once peaceful villagers are beginning to arm themselves and train, and they are taking to fortifying their walls too. However, though you no longer need to worry about food or shelter or overt distrust, the protectiveness of Rusalka's people begins to come out in full force.
Now, every day, the villagers come to check in on you and the buddy system is fully enforced. You are unable to act without being in at least a group of three. You feel that the village never truly sleeps, it only being a matter of time before you run into someone else or someone bursts into your shared sleeping accomodations just to make sure you are still alive. Your clothes have been replaced with their own hemp tunics, and at every corner, you hear a villager encourage you to assimilate.

You are no longer allowed to leave the walls for any reason whatsoever. You are not permitted your freedom and the things the villagers say begin to feel more and more unnatural, their smiles more and more menacing and forced. Even looking at any of them sends a chill down your spine.
The people begin to speak ill of the Outsiders, preparing for the day they are to defeat them and restore peace to this happy home… But your allies are on the other side of the wall. Will you be forced to cross blades against them one day?
If you must live, will you live in the safety of Celephais' arms, or shall you return to the life you once knew, even if it means embracing danger?
Led to Ruin
Though the objectives and circumstances for each group are now different, the one thing both groups have in common is the Ruin mechanic.
On the team document, you shall find that every single player character now has a Ruin counter in addition to their HP counter at the top. This is specific to each player character. Anytime they perform a risky action of some kind (as outlined in GM-given prompts), they will roll a d6. 
Roll Results (Generally):
1-3 : You fail, and things get worse. 
4-5 : You succeed, but there's some kind of complication.
6 : You succeed.
If you are unhappy with your roll, you may add a dark die. Reroll with ul2d6 now. (If you are rolling with Avrae instead of Dice Maiden, then roll the two dice separately.) The first die is your light die and the second die is your dark die. If the dark die is a higher number than your light die, add 1 Ruin to your character tracker. Your new result for the task will be the higher number, whichever color it is. If you are still unsatisfied, you are free to keep adding as many dark die as you want, one new dark die per attempt, (e.g. your third attempt would be one light die and two dark dice, so ul 3d6) and you will keep potentially stacking Ruin as the cost. In a tie between a light die and a dark die, the dark die is automatically considered the higher number.
Other characters may choose to help any action (to mitigate its effects) so long as a dark die is involved with the original party. The supporting character will roll a 1d6, but if their number matches any number on a dark die, then they will be spent as collateral damage in some way. Be careful.
If you at any point in time reach 7 Ruin, your character disintegrates in the sunlight and is reborn again as a nightmare come nightfall. 
Tasks (The Outsiders)
Your group is primarily focused on survival.
You will need some kind of shelter to live through the next few days. Once shelter is built, it is permanent and will cover the needs of all muses in this group. Roll 1D6 per post to cut down trees to help build it.
ㅤㅤ- 1-3 : Your muse ends up injuring themselves and collect no wood. They take -1HP worth of damage. ㅤㅤ- 4-5 : Your muse successfully collects +1 Wood, but they still lightly injure themselves. They take -0.5HP worth of damage. ㅤㅤ- 6 : Your muse successfully collects +2 Wood with no complications. ㅤㅤ- Axe rank of C or higher grants a +1 modifier to all rolls for this prompt.
Once your group has some wood, you can start actually building the house. To finish building the shelter, the group will need to expend 10 wood. Roll a 1D6 per post to help build it. ㅤ- 1-3 : Your muse injures themselves in the process of trying to get things built. They take -0.5HP worth of damage. ㅤ- 4-5 : Your muse expends -1 Wood but tires themselves out. They are unable to roll to make progress in their next post. ㅤ- 6 : Your muse expends -2 Wood and makes good progress on building the shelter. ㅤ- Heavy Armor rank of C or higher grants a +1 modifier to all rolls for this prompt.
You will also need some food. Fortunately, all the extra food above your goal last week was brought with your group and not remaining with the Insiders. This means you start off with 12 lbs of vegetables, 5lbs of mushrooms/nuts/berries, five eggs, and three bottles of milk. Together, this will be treated as 25lbs of food for the sake of our mechanics. You require 2lbs of food per muse each day to not starve/take damage.
If you choose to hunt or fish, you will find it easier to get enough sustenance per catch. Roll a 1D6 per post. ㅤ- Lance rank and/or Bow rank of C or higher grants a +1 modifier to all rolls for this prompt. ㅤ- 1-3 : Your muse is unable to catch anything and instead injures themselves. They take -1HP worth of damage. ㅤ- 4-5 : Your muse catches what is equivalent to +2lbs of food but struggled to do so, injuring themselves lightly in the process. They take -0.5HP worth of damage.
ㅤㅤ- 6 : Your muse successfully catches what is equivalent to +4lbs of food!
If you choose to forage for berries and mushrooms, roll a 1D6 per post to try and find them. ㅤ- Those that did the Forage prompt during Week 1 are granted a +1 modifier to all rolls for this prompt. ㅤ- 1-3 : Your muse finds only poison. ㅤ- 4-5 : Your muse struggles but manages to find +1lb of edible food. ㅤ- 6 : Your muse successfully finds +2lbs of edible food.
Battle will be coming, and you might need some healing. Your group was able to steal all the healing items you made last week, resulting in a total of 2 Vulneraries and 2 Concoctions to your name, but if you want more, then you'll need to find more herbs and flowers with which to make them. Currently, your group has no herbs and flowers to work with. Roll a 1D6 per post to try and find them. ㅤ- Those that did the Forage prompt during Week 1 are granted a +1 modifier to all rolls for this prompt. ㅤ- 1-3 : Your muse finds nothing and just wastes time. ㅤ- 4-5 : Your muse finds +2 workable herb/flower but come into contact with something poisonous. Roll 1d6. If 1, you are inflicted with the Minor Poison status at the start of Week 3. If your muse gets this result again, your Minor Poison stacks into Toxic Poison status. ㅤ- 6 : Your muse finds +2 workable herbs/flowers with no negative consequences.
Once your group has some herbs/flowers, you can begin to make healing items. ㅤ- A single healing item requires you to expend 2 Herbs/Flowers. ㅤ- Faith rank of C or higher increases effectiveness; creates Concoctions instead of Vulneraries ㅤ- Apothecary Class Mastery increases speed to one creation every 3 posts instead of 5.
Any day your muse is lacking either food or shelter, you will take -1HP. If your muse has been turned into a Nightmare, they no longer have these needs and will not take damage from failing to meet them. 
The Search (The Insiders)
Your group is primarily focused on making a choice. You do not have to worry about needs. Any and all actions your muses take in paralogues are up to you as long as they fit the narrative lack of freedom up above, but you all shall also be given an optional IC minigame. Results of this minigame directly affect mechanics of Week 3.
For everyone, regardless of participation in the minigame or not, consider your muse's answer to the question: "Do you wish to return to the Outside or do you wish to protect Rusalka?" Your muse must have an answer to this question by the end of the IRL / OOC week. Ping Mod N with your muse's answer.
For those who choose to participate in the minigame, your muses shall be investigating the alleys of Rusalka. You have the freedom to split into teams or do it all together; a minigame team can be anywhere from 2-7 members. A segment of the team document will be dedicated to logging all rolls and occurrences of this minigame.
You all shall be placed on the map at the same starting point: the blue tile. All muses in a thread will move together as a party, but you all take turns (based on whoever is posting next in the thread) rolling for movement. ㅤ- Armored units roll a 1D4. ㅤ- Infantry units roll a 1D5. ㅤ- Cavalry and Flying units roll a 1D6. ㅤ- If a unit has Movement+, they gain a +1 modifier to all movement rolls. ㅤ- If a unit has a Knight Ring in their inventory, they can roll the remaining amount of movement after their first roll. E.G., a paladin muse rolls a 4 on a 1D6. They can perform their action for that turn, and then afterwards, they can roll a 1D2. If they had rolled a 3, they would have been able to roll an additional 1D3.
Every time you land on a tile with a number on it for the first time, roll a 1D6 to search. ㅤ- 1-2 : Your muse is discovered by a villager of Rusalka and must find a way to escape. If you forfeit your chance to escape and choose to instead wait them out, roll a 1D6. If a 1 or 2, the villager eventually leaves and you can try to search again next turn in this room. Otherwise, your party must roll another 1D6 for the next post. This continues for an infinite amount of posts until your party rolls a 1. ㅤ- 3-4 : Your muse successfully chooses a time where a villager is not in sight, but you find nothing. ㅤ- 5-6 : Your muse finds the remains of a dead Newcomer. Roll between all remaining deceased Newcomers to determine which one it is: the stowed away ashes of Reyson, the corpse of Holst, the corpse of Nergal, or the corpse of Harken. ㅤ- If the unit has a bonus to perception rolls, they gain a +1 modifier to all search rolls.
If your muse ever comes across a tile with this type of symbol on it, a square with a horizontal or vertical line going across its center, it is a locked door/gate (your choice for narrative flavor). You must spend a turn attempting to pick/break the lock. Roll a 1D6 to attempt this.
ㅤㅤ- 1-3: Your muse is unable to pick/break the lock. Roll a 1D6. If a 1 or 2, your muse is discovered by a villager of Rusalka and must find a way to escape. If you forfeit your chance to escape and choose to instead wait them out, roll another 1D6. If a 1 or 2, the villager eventually leaves and you can try to search again next turn in this room. Otherwise, your party must roll another 1D6 for the next post. This continues for an infinite amount of posts until your party rolls a 1.  ㅤㅤ- 4-5: Your muse successfully breaks the lock, but it is loud. Roll a 1D6. If a 1 or 2, your muse goes through the 'Discovered by a villager of Rusalka' scenario above. ㅤㅤ- 6: Your muse successfully picks the lock without being noticed. Your party may progress without problems on the next post. ㅤㅤ- If a unit with Lockpick, they gain a +3 to all lockpicking rolls.
If your muse wishes to escape when discovered, you must make a risk roll. 
ㅤㅤ- 1-3 : You fail and the villager attacks you. You lose -0.5HP and the party must attempt an escape roll again for the next post. ㅤㅤ- 4-5: You fail to get away at first but when the villager attacks you, you avoid taking damage and instead successfully knock them out in retaliation, but you accumulate +1 Ruin for doing this. ㅤㅤ- 6 : You succeed and get away from them. ㅤㅤ- For every point of speed a unit has, they gain a +1 modifier to this roll, caps at +6.
When you find a corpse, the corpse is added to your party's inventory.
Muses are unable to take two or more consecutive turns. They must have another party member go directly after them before they can act again. Each post on the dashboard should be equivalent to one turn in the minigame.
When all corpses have been found, ping Mod N. Another event shall occur when this condition is satisfied.
Important Notes
This event is mostly meant to be driven by the players rather than being ushered by your GM at every turn. Please take note that while the tasks above will contribute to the narrative of the campaign, you are not limited to only threading about the tasks above. You are free to write threads unrelated to the tasks if you so wish, so long as they take place within the setting of the event.
In addition to the above, if writing a task thread, please indicate it either in the title post of your thread or in your starter so that it is clear from the start.
Also, task threads are not limited to only featuring writing directly about the task at hand. You are encouraged to write character exploration and conversations outside of the scope of just the task as your characters carry them out. Please feel free to have your muses discuss the plot or anything else currently on their mind. See these tasks as a way to get characters together physically in one space, but the narrative freedom you are allowed is still just the same as most other threads too.
There is currently no time limit rule for when posts need to be written, but please remain in open communication with your thread partners/teammates. Shorter posts are encouraged to help keep things moving and for relationships to progress along with the narrative.
“Good” or “Bad” outcomes will still progress the campaign, so don’t feel too stressed about needing to “win” this event. The primary focus on this event should be character development and building relationships with your teammates. Actions have consequences, but all consequences can have narrative potential for exploration.
Here is the link to Team Theta’s team document if you require it. This is already pinned in your team channel. Whilst it will be updated in certain areas by your GM, players should do their best to update the thread tracker on it with link to thread replies and any notes they might wish to jot down whether for their own sake or for helping their teammates stay in the loop.
