I'm once again thinking about how alone Victoire must have felt living with Letty, outside the bubble of best friendship that Robin and Ramy shared, conveniently paired with the other girl in their cohort.
Robin and Ramy got each other and Letty was always unwilling and unable to get Victoires experience. It breaks my heart that Letty could rely on Victoire for emotional support but not the other way around. No doubt she delved into all her childhood issues and the loss of her brother and Victoire did nothing but listen and be understanding while knowing she'd never be able to count on Letty for the same.

Asking some writers/artists I follow:
Is there anything in your fic/comic that you as the author know about, but won't end up in the actual story?
Actually, yes!
While the family has a shrine in the dojo dedicated to Little Blue, Donnie decided to set up his own shrine in his lab. He mostly put up random red-eared slider turtle facts and pictures he and Mikey drew as kids when trying to imagine what Blue would look like.
He takes it all down upon discovering Leo and replaces it with "spy gear" (trackers and bugs placed on Leo) that you'll see later in the fic.
Thanks for the ask!

I wish there was a tipofmytongue or lost media database for toys that weren't part of known franchises or lines. I mean that would be a Massive undertaking just for the sheer amount of handmade, knock-offs, and obscure unsuccessful releases there are in the world, but there are a few from my childhood that I no longer have, even in pictures, and I'd love to know what they are just to satisfy my curiosity:
a large (realistically, probably medium-dog-sized, I was small), light green dragon, with fleecy fur and a smooth, hot-pink ridged stomach, that was sitting up. was very young, no idea of origin. (there actually Is a picture of this somewhere of it on my bed, but I've no idea where the picture is).
a dark purple alien made of this smooth, slightly fluorescent vinyl fabric, with a small, soft body and large, firmer head that had a speaker inside it, and when you thwacked the head it would scream. at least I Remember it being a drawn out scream, but I wonder if it might've just been a crusty spaceship noise I was misinterpreting lmao. also no idea of origin, probably some quirky shop in manchester city centre that hasn't been around in over 20 years. (inexplicably really liked this toy, even slept with it at night a few times, but stopped bc I got anxious that I'd set off the speaker in the night and scare myself).
two small dogs that had identical designs - one was pink, the other was I think a limeish green/turquoise, and both had silver ears, muzzles, and legs. I might have won these in a fairground.
two Large dogs, life-sized ones, that were a german shepherd and a border collie. probably Impossible to narrow down these ones, but altho I don't think they were cheap, they weren't like, collector-level quality/ultra-realistic. like 90% sure we got these from blackpool.

i think it's really funny that in sevens, whenever yuga wanders off alone to do something off-screen you just kind of end up like 'oh look at him go! he'll be back. i wonder what he figured out, i wonder what kind of trap he's setting up for the future'.
but in go rush whenever he wanders off you just end up thinking 'no come back! you can't do everything alone, what is this solving? come back and be part of the gang, come back and help. i hope nothing bad's happened to him'.
personally, the difference between his safety status is really interesting between the two. sevens set up a world that wasn't without consequences but generally was safe for the child characters. but go rush has completely different physical consequences. like being turned into a cat for two years.

i'm pretty sure u can get pickled jalapeños in ireland it's not the third world... maybe not good ones but there are international texmex brands that sell them like old el paso, that's available in like every western european country yk
I'm also pretty sure Ireland has changed a lot in the close to fifteen years since I was there my friend. Do you really think we would have paid international shipping on something in a large, heavy glass jar that was readily available to us? Why would I lie about something like that??? Old El Paso taco kits was a thing but they would only sell it in mild. Hell, as I've also mentioned at that time the entire county only had one real Starbucks and it was in the airport. And then they closed it. (Now they have ten). The insidious creep of international American brands has grown exponentially since then.
Different countries have different tastes, and that's fine! Doesn't make them third world either!

Listening to Last Heaven a lot these last few days. I wonder whether Ruki thought of Hide specifically while writing it, or that dedication was only posterior and what he allowed himself publicly to explicit it being about grief ... Either way, it's bringing me immense comfort in the wake of Reita's passing. I am so grateful for this band that is capable of consoling me even of the death of one of its members ...
