I know I’ve said this since I joined Tumblr, but I am going to try to start posting more on here. Been getting tired of the other platforms and always come back here anyway. The way I consume content has definitely changed. And I’m still finding it hard to get fully back into writing and creating. But I have to start somewhere, right?

Dealing with grief has played a large part in why I’m going through all of this right now.

What has been interesting, though, is that obsessing over my re-discovery of WWE (aka the USOs) has been providing me comfort during this tough time.

I’m sure a lot of people have said this but I grew up watching WWE and slowly got away from it as I got older. Somehow I fell upon it again and here we are :)

Oh and I do still blog here and there. Check out my last blog about what a year 2023 was❤️

I had a Blog post planned but still figuring that out so here we are🤷🏽‍♀️ BUT I am officially in preparation mode for my first real concert experience after 2 years of nothing but online concert (not complaining about those tho)..

On Saturday, I will be seeing #EpikHigh and #Woosung for the first time! Life & work anxiety aside, I am so excited!!😆😆😆 So, to prepare myself, I’ve been catching up on all things #EpikHigh #TheRose and #Woosung and to experience any of that music live is gonna be so surreal… And I’ll probably put together a road trip playlist since I have to drive to Houston for this but I’m determined to make this an amazing experience🥰

I’ll do my best to have pictures and videos, maybe a Vlog and concert footage, Etc…

Alice in Borderland is another K-Drama review I wasn’t planning on doing so soon, but I have a lot to say about this one as well. I had this series in the queue before watching Squid Game, being that it’s been out for a while. After finishing Squid Game, I decided to return to it because I had heard how they were similar. It is technically a J-Drama, based in Tokyo Japan, with Japanese actors and actresses, and is also based on a Manga that is ongoing.

Squid Game Review Up‼️ I wasn’t initially going to start my K-Drama reviews with this one but after I finished it so fast & had a lot of thoughts about it, I decided to post asap. 6 years ago, I published my 1st article on Muzik Junqie. Hundreds of posts, new social media pages, a YouTube channel, and magazine articles published, here we are! I still feel like I don’t know what I’m doing sometimes but I am proud of how much I have learned & grown in the last 6 years.

And I realized that I hadn’t really introduced myself to any of my new readers, not doing a new Intro video since I first started my YouTube channel. I finally finished my blog post about the magic that took place this past Monday… Seeing my Favs #MonstaX in Fort Worth. I am still in FanGirl mode and missing them so much. Wishing I could be in Los Angeles right now for their last show.

This concert was 2+ years in the making and just like that, it’s come & gone already. But that night will live in my head and heart until I see them again🥹

I know that I keep saying that I will post more on here but now I’ll have no other choice lol.. The back end of my Blog is currently down so I cannot publish any new articles.

Currently debating on whether or not I will change things up, find better hosting, or what. No matter what happens tho, this will always be Muzik Junqie! But until I can figure out what to do about my current situation, this will have to do.

March Fan-girl Update! Featuring Kihyun’s Debut Solo Single Album

I didn’t think that it would be this long before I would get to do a post like this, but as I’ve probably mentioned before, work has been kicking my @ss. But I have been able to listen to a lot of new music while I work; allowing me to hold on to the sanity that I have left. March has given us so many amazing albums, and solo projects, so I’m excited to share and fangirl about them. More post to come, so please be patient with me :)

Monsta X’s Kihyun Releases 1st Solo Single Album!

Kihyun is Monsta X’s lead vocal & has been known for his powerful voice for a while now. Even while in Monsta X, we as fans are used to hearing different styles of music. So, hearing this new solo music, I am not surprised that we gave us 3 songs in 3 different styles. The lead single “Voyager” is an upbeat Pop/ Rock track, that would sound amazing with a live band, and is super catchy.

“Comma” has a similar vibe to “Voyager” but slower tempo and “softer”. The last song on this single album “Rain”, is my favorite, and really shows off Kihyun’s voice, in my opinion. I feel like this has been a long-time coming but with all their group & individual schedules, I understand. Plus, we’re apparently getting a new Monsta X album next month, called ‘Shape of Love’, and I’m excited!

HIGHLIGHT Drops a New Full Length Album

Honestly, I had forgotten that they were releasing a new album. I am so excited, though, because this group is one of the older groups, so their sound reflects that. The title track “Daydream” has that fun Pop sound, as well as “Don’t Leave” and “Play”, exactly what I look forward to from them. Some of my other favorites on this album, that have a little more of an R&B sound are “Night Fog”, “Seven Wonders”, and “Lovely Day” with a jazzy vibe to it.

Bang Yongguk Long Awaited Return with New EP

I’ve been waiting for this one, a lot of us have, and he did not disappoint. The first single “Race”, and the visuals for it, had me ready for his full comeback. He has a more Rock/ R&B/ Hip Hop sound, and “Up” is a good example of that. But I have to say that my favorite song is “Screwed Up”.

“Screwed Up” has a slower tempo and has a 90’s R&B sound to it. It sticks out from the others, but still fits the project as a whole. He is one of those soloists that no matter what he comes out with, I know I’m going to like it. But I guess that’s the case for a lot of the artists I talk about these days LOL.

Astro’s Moonbin & Sanha 2nd EP

This collab impresses me every time. I really love these two together. The theme for this latest release is a bit darker and sexier than the last, which I love. I had spoken about the first song from this EP “Ghost Town”, but this latest release “WHO” is my favorite.

“BOO” is a lighter song, with some R&B and Dance elements to it. And “DIA” reminds me of the music they make with ASTRO. I also feel like if you’re a fan of the group, as well as this vocal sub-unit, then you will love the EP their rap line JinJin and Rocky released. I’m just a fan of all of them in general, so get used to me talking about them and every new release they drop.

Stray Kids Bring Us into Their ‘Oddinary’ World

I’m still giving this project a good listen. I was a big fan of them when I first got into K-Pop but I just haven’t been keeping up with them as much lately. When I started following them, I loved how they were a younger group with a heavier Hip Hop/Rap influence, but now I don’t know. I am liking “Maniac”, “Charmer”, and “Waiting for Us” right now, though.

Finding New Group Treasure

I have known about Treasure for a while and have been following them a bit. They are kind of the protégés of older YG boy group iKon and I can definitely see and hear the influence. The song that got me recently is “JikJin”. And also, the fact that iKon did a dance cover to that very song.

The other 3 tracks are really good, and they are supposed to be coming out with a video of their other popular song “DARARI”. I will be paying a lot more attention to them from now on. They caught me off guard, but I can never be upset to add another amazing boy group to my list.

Getting to Know Enhyphen

Now, let’s meet the little brothers to BTS & TXT. I have kind of watched them as well but not really getting into them right away since they’re so young. I had tried to get into TXT first, but it didn’t really stick. But after really sitting and listening to Enhyphen’s music, I think I can say I’m sold. And I am still catching up on everything, but my favorite EP from them so far is Border: Carnival.
