~Full Moon~
Oh full moon, that clears
The dark night of my heart
I love your shine
And fills me with passion
It's like your rays
Reach my deepest core
And bring me back
In the light of the love that I flood today
What a sweet, delicate poem
That envelops me like a perfume
I cannot deny my beloved
that it is my love that consumes me
Your eyes are like a constellation
That shine brighter than the full moon
And make me lose my heart
Of love and passion in one vein
May it be eternal, may it be true
May our love never end
May it be intense, even in the banal, routine
Who feels a dream that never ends
Oh moon, oh love, oh passion
May we be eternal companions
Let there be no barrier or limitation
May our love be an endless cycle, I assure you.

i just want you to know that i have to do some analysis of "for sale: baby shoes, never worn" for an english assignment and that joke you made one time on a stream about the shoes never being worn because it was an unexpectedly massive baby has been in the back of my mind the entire time. thank you
I remember! "For sale: baby shoes, never worn. Massive baby."
Always astounds me Hemingway is held up as such a great writer when the man didn't even realise adding these two simple words would make his story cool and happy and kinda funny (cause of the inclusion of a huge baby) instead of it being, like, super sad. Absolute rookie move imo.

its interesting to me that the common sentiment appears to be that han sooyoung intended for jang hayoung to be trans. I think there's room for multiple interpretations, but I view being trans in orv as being inherently tied to the themes of self-actualization, as well as the idea that a narrative is unable to be fully defined by either author or reader. put more simply, jang hayoung is trans regardless of either kim dokja OR han sooyoung's intentions in creating her, or in how they each interpreted her. maybe the version of her in the novel was meant to be something else, but in the reality of this world, she is a trans girl. han sooyoung's intentions kind of don't matter there because the text has moved beyond its author

imagine defending two grown adult men who have only ever written one thing, badly, for their entire careers, on the internet because a stranger is being "disrespectful"

listen, I see your fanon conviction that Hob dislikes Shakespeare on principle after what happened in 1589, and I raise you: Hob learning about the anti-Stratfordians in the mid-19th century and immediately and wholeheartedly coming down on the opposite side of whatever that nonsense is:
you can’t tell me Mister Hob “Bob Everyman” Gadling, who’s visited the heights and depths of the early modern human experience, is going to accept the argument that one needs must be an educated nobleman in order to write great works of literature
or that someone of humble and obscure origins doesn’t have the fine sensibilities and creativity to understand and portray the breadth of emotion in Shakespeare’s plays
(Hob himself is intensely average and though he may not be able to write them, he can sure as hell understand them)
imagine, if you will, Hob constantly getting into trouble when arguing with anti-Stratfordians because half of his evidence is based on the fact that he knows it was Will Shakespeare because he fucking met Will Shakespeare
Hob constantly disgusted at the tendency of Certain Kinds of People to make things far far more complicated than they need to be, i.e… English spelling has never been consistent especially where names are concerned, there are no hidden ciphers, nobody faked their death or hid undiscovered manuscripts in any tombs, Ockham’s Razor for Christ’s sake etc. etc.
he teaches a seminar on the Shakespeare authorship question and it’s one of the most well-attended in the university’s history because he’s gained a reputation as an extremely animated lecturer
“listen, the man may have been a twat on a personal level but twats can be geniuses too”
(I blame @qqueenofhades for this because her fic AITWW is making me think A Lot about Hob and History and I already have feelings about Shakespeare authorship)

another number one's fun fact that's literally pissing me off. well no this is a wonderful fact that has emotional resonances but like the ways women contribute to music history is so vast and far reaching and its just never acknowledged. even in supposedly male-dominated scenes and genres its always there and this erasure is only worsened by the fact nobody behind the scenes is given their due, we only view musicians or like. producers (read: auteurs) as the genius and not the village full of people

Fate of humans.
"When you are a child, with your fragile, pure and evolutionary spirit, everyone wants you around, everyone desires and admires you.
When you grow up, even though you're still the same specimen, for some reason, some stay, some leave... and you're forgotten over time. an endless cycle."

Ok ok listen:
Akatsuki!Shisui but it's because he was able to run away from Danzō and Danzō painted him as a traitor who attacked a village Elder trying to gain control in the name of the Uchiha clan and used Shisui's stolen Mangekyō to get others to believe him unquestionably
Tobi finds Shisui as he's running away and asks him to join the Akatsuki, which Shisui does but only for the possible benefits of it and not because he believes in their idea of peace, he actually finds it quite terrible and disgusting the way they're going about this
Of course he gets placed as Kisame's partner and they become boyfriends because I'm a sucker for their potential together
Shisui: I didn't betray my village, I was betrayed by someone I trusted and then painted as the traitor!
Kisame: Oh I like you little guy. Let me kill this Shimura guy for you
Shisui: Wha- no! Besides, it's my job to-
Kisame: I see you misunderstood me. I wasn't asking for your permission. I will kill this Shimura guy for you

Look, I'm probably gonna delete this later
But I REALLY hate how tumblr treats professional authors, especially YA and new adult authors
"Oh, we're the anti-censorship website! Go read a horny book! Go read a banned book! No not that one, you're doing it wrong." /sarcasm (Seriously, ACOTAR was banned in Utah https://apnews.com/article/utah-school-book-ban-d7345be6a89cfa6cd2cb5ddd25fca700 and plenty of folks around here want to critique its sexual politics as unfeminist. Or those of horny monster books that are written by INDIE authors that actually have some things in common with books like ACOTAR. BTW, love that y'all hate big box publishing but also, indie writers who want to get horny with it are the devil. Because none of us around here ever like horny fics that get weird with it.)
"Oh, you should never write a book that's to-market! I don't write fanfic to market, only ridiculously rare rarepairs, hurt/no comfort only, with unsatisfying endings." /sarcasm (Most professional writers write to market in some way or another. But most fanfic authors do, too. You (generic) enjoy this as a reader, as long as its a market that's to your tastes.)
"No one ever does anything useful writing to market. There are no trends. POC writers don't use that as a tool to get their books published ever." /sarcasm (Listen to Deadline City to hear Zoraida Cordova and Dhonielle Clayton, two POC YA authors, discuss the tug of war with writing on trends, on markets, and getting published in general. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/deadline-citys-podcast/ and before you go saying that's just an issue of capitalistic pressures—are you SURE. people write, in part, to meet an audience and change people's point of view. even on a site driven entirely by community, people feel pressure to write for more popular fandoms on ao3. so, again, are you SURE.)
but uh yeah no this site has no issue with censorship, supports indie authors getting funky with it just as much as indie artists, and has full respect for indie YA authors and genres they, themselves, don't personally like
