It was public knowledge that you and Heeseung were friends since you had trained together at one point

However it was NOT public knowledge that you two actually ended up becoming a couple after you both debuted 

With that being said, fans were overjoyed any time you were seen together, always thinking your interactions were so cute and wholesome

One day a video of the two of you pre-debut got leaked

It was a clip of a practice video of you dancing to “Bonnie & Clyde” by DEAN

The choreography was good and you both danced well, but anyone watching could tell that the two young trainees were nervous to be dancing with each other 

Fans of both groups thought the video was pure gold though since it showcased how much you’d both grown as performers, and the fact that it was another interaction between their favs

The video trended on social media for about a week or so before the chatter and excitement was redirected to a NEW dance practice video… 

which just so happened to be of you and Heeseung recreating the choreography from so many years in full

It was a well filmed, high quality performance 

The two of you had even gone the extra mile and re-recorded the song as a duet, making it a full cover

Any trace of the awkwardness from your trainees days had been nowhere to be found

You and jake had been invited to be part of an end-of-the-year collab stage

It was supposed to be a fun little performance between a few different male and female idols

At the time- the only people who knew about your relationship were your groupmates, meaning it was especially hard to see each other without getting caught

However when your manager gave you the news that you’d be collaborating with a few different idols, and that your boyfriend just so happened to be one of them, your heart started to race 

You attended a meeting with your manager in which you were informed that you’d be working with Lee Isa, Kim Gaeul, Kang Minhee, Park Jisung, and of course Jake

The stage would have three parts- a section for the girls, a section for the boys, and then one where you all came together 

The overall vibe was fun and flirty, and you’d each be partnered with someone

The second the idea of “partners” was introduced, you and jake immediately made (what you thought was subtle, but was definitely not) eye-contact

The meeting wrapped up and you were immediately conversing with you were manager, trying to subtly convey how you thought it would make most sense for you and Jake to be partners 

Unbeknownst to you, Jake was doing the exact same thing

Luckily, it worked and both of your managers were able to get the two of you to be partners

You all began preparing immediately, and since some of the partner work was different for each pair you’d all broken off to learn separate bits of choreography 

You and Jake had begun working on a few different combinations, since the song decisions hadn’t been entirely finalized yet

The first one you worked on was to “Invitation” by JUNNY and Gaeko, which totally fit the vibe of the overall stage concept

Except it was maybe a bit TOO flirty (or perhaps that was just you and Jake)

You were easily able to connect and play into the each other’s artistry

Your relationship had always been full of playful energy and putting a smile on the other person’s face, so dancing together just felt like another extension of that

The choreography was intense and fast, hitting every accent and ad-lib, requiring a lot of texture and groove

but after learning the steps and running it once or twice to get the moves down it felt like second nature, especially since all your charisma and stage presence was really just you having fun with your boyfriend 

Lots of behind the scenes content was filmed and unfortunately… some got leaked to the public 

Somehow yours and jake’s first dance practice got leaked, as well as Jisung and Isa’s and the video of yours, Gaeul, and Isa’s section

This was before anything was announced to let the public know a collab was even happening so fans were shocked on so many levels

As the main dancer of your group, your company loves to highlight you any chance they get

This resulted in you doing frequent dance videos, collabing with other idols in order to reach outside your normal audience and hopefully attract some new fans

Sunghoon, ever the supportive boyfriend, makes sure you tell him every time a new video is going to be released so that he can have youtube open and ready for when it drops

texts you immediately after about how talented you are and how proud he is of you for taking on the challenges of choreographing and coming up with new ways to showcase your skills as a performer

Sometimes will just randomly pull up your videos and start watching them while y’all are hanging out

You had always told him beforehand who you’d be dancing with and he never expressed being bothered by any of your idol partners-

until he realized you yourself were picking them

You were sitting in his bed one day (watching one of your recent videos lol) when he suddenly looked up at you with the saddest puppy eyes ever 

“How come you’ve never asked me to dance with you☹️”

Oh he’d be so pouty and sulky omg

You’d been expecting that question for a while honestly

“Baby I’d love to dance with you, but would your company let us?” 

sunghoon hated that you had to be logical all the time, so he just rolled over to bury his face in your stomach, and groaned in despair

“Can we ask them tomorrow…”

You couldn’t stop the affectionate giggle that left you as you played with his hair and nodded softly

The next day, you talked to your manager first- proposing your next idea

Now you see- your manager loves sunghoon, your whole staff does really

They all think the two of you are perfect together, and would honestly probably announce you were official right this second if hybe let them

So it wasn’t a problem convincing your team to let you dance with your boyfriend

Of course that wasn’t exactly the case for Sunghoon’s team

It definitely made sense why they weren’t totally onboard with the idea- being worried about dating rumors and such- but you and hoon hadn’t had a single rumor involving each other up to that point!

They eventually caved and agreed, realizing it would be a good opportunity since all the other idols you had invited so far were all known as well-respected dancers in the industry

You ended up decided on going for a more intimate and contemporary vibe than you had done so far

“Close” by Nick Jonas and Tove Lo was the song you had agreed on using, having had already talked about choreographing to this song together just for fun at some point

You had worked with a choreographer from hybe, expressing your vision and showing some of the ideas you had, and the process went extremely smooth

The dance ended up being sensual and emotional, highlighting both of your skills as contemporary dancers

A good chunk of the choreography was spent with the two of you having very little physical contact, but being so close to each other that it delivered such a feeling a yearning

However, the last chorus totally changed the vibe

You two walked backward, facing away from each other, and right as you were about to bump into each other sunghoon abruptly turned around gripping your shoulder and whirling you to face him- leading to a sequence of quick spins and paired movements, finally breaking the pattern of avoiding physical contact

And the rest of the dance spent with you two practically glued together

The performance continued with sunghoon pulling you in toward him, you running your hands up his chest and neck and landing softly on his face before pulling him down to almost meet your lips

The two of you slowly walked together to the beat of the music until sunghoon’s back was hitting the wall

It came to an end with hoon sliding down into a seated position on the floor, leaning against the wall- you sliding down in sync, landing on his lap- his face still in your hands, his hands on your hips, foreheads leaned against each other’s

The choreography was so intimate that unfortunately hybe’s fears came true

The dating rumors were instantaneous…

And if that wasn’t enough to get them going, there was all the behind the scenes material as well

Both your company and hybe had released behind the scenes videos of the project, except they couldn’t have been more different

While the one posted to enhypen’s channel was mostly sunghoon being interviewed and shots of him practicing individually, with the occasional partner shot or interaction between you two

Your behind the scenes video had plenty of shots of you and hoon laughing and playfully bickering together

Clips of you finishing the choreography and falling against him, with him wrapping his arms around you and swaying back and forth circulated twitter immediately 

There were plenty of other moments that had fans fawning over your relationship

Such as when you wrapped up filming and sunghoon slid his hands from your hips to fully wrap his arms around your waist and pull you down to lay on top of him on the ground

Let’s just say hybe had to release a statement pretty soon after that

Sunoo and you always post together 

vlogs, lives, story posts- you name it

Most fans never really thought anything of it since a majority of the time it was just you two shopping, trying new snacks, or talking about skincare

But there was also so much content you didn’t post

Like the countless couples tik tok trends that are sitting in your drafts (his favorite is the one where you put on lipstick and accidentally smudged it, then the camera turns to him covered in lipstick kiss marks)

But there are also surprisingly a lot of random dance videos you have of the two of you 

Sometimes when you’re hanging out at one of your company’s studios you’ll just turn on a song and come up with fun random choreography 

One of Sunoo’s favorites that you guys have come up with was to “Wildflower” by 5 seconds of summer

It was sensual and flirty, but still fun and cute- and the video conveys that perfectly with how much the two of you are giggling and clinging to each other

It started off really well! Both of you were locked in, hitting the snaps and beats perfectly, your expressions nothing short of perfect and professional 

But the second it got to the chorus your smiles were overtaking your faces as you tried to stay focused on the choreography and not burst out laughing

You still danced the routine perfectly! There just came a point in the dance where neither of you could stop smiling at each other

By the final chorus you were fully teasing your giggly boyfriend by mouthing the words with an overly flirtatious expression while running your hands down his neck and chest, causing him to squeeze your waist and teasingly pull you into him making you burst out laughing, before finishing out the dance with the biggest smiles anyone has ever seen 

You both often rewatch the video and your smiles end up being almost as big as the ones you had in the video

You were sitting with Sunoo one day and asked him if it was okay to post it to your personal account, and he excitedly agreed

However- for some reason you didn’t check to make sure you were on your private account instead of your groups account before you hit post, and without realizing, uploaded your choreography to your groups official instagram with the caption ‘me and my wildflower sunny baby☀️🌺’

It was only about 15 minutes later when sunoo was scrolling through his own instagram when he turned to you panicked

“Baby… you posted it on the wrong account”

“WHAT?????”

You immediately called your manager crying and freaking out, while sunoo called jungwon trying to explain the situation 

Both your management teams came to the agreement that no one would say anything about the video unless it got severely out of hand

They thought it would be best to keep the video up to avoid suspicion, However, you did have to change the caption

Aside from the crazies, most fans were eating it up!

You had been hinting to your fans about doing more dance content, but the last thing they expected was for a video of you and jungwon dancing to “two hands” by Tate McCrae to randomly show up on your groups youtube channel one day

The video was professionally recorded in a cool location and the two of you had on cool but comfortable outfits

Basically y’all looked cunty asf and everyone was losing their shit over it but we’ll come back to that

The choreography involved the two of you being in some sort of physical contact for almost the entire thing

And when you weren’t touching, you were face to face staring into each other’s soul

It was lowkey like you were leading the dance at times and jungwon was hypnotized by your movements (which let’s be honest, he totally was)

By the last chorus, you and your boyfriend were in full contact

Jungwon’s hands had pulled you in closely, your hands resting on his chest with his low on your back

There was a moment where you just sensually gazed into to each other’s eyes, caressing each other while you mouthed the words to the song

Jungwon leaned in closing his eyes, fully preparing to kiss you, but you teasingly turned your head back toward the camera right as your lips were about to meet, giving a flirtatious wink and smile

The turn caused jungwon’s lips to brush your neck, but the way it was captured by the camera made it hard to tell if he actually made contact with your skin

The rest of the dance consisted of one or both of you having your hands on the other without a break, never breaking the connection 

There was even a part where you had your hand on your boyfriend’s face and he followed your movement, seemingly hypnotized by your touch

Jungwon’s hands quickly found their place on your hips shortly after

The dance finished with two posing- you in front of him, reaching behind to place your hand on the back of his neck, as he placed his hands on your hips

Won gently rubbed your hip as he waited for the director to call cut, ad when they did he collapsed against you, fully wrapping his arms around your waist and tucking his face into your neck

(That cute moment was captured and posted on your instagram story after the official video dropped)

Speaking of social media…

The thing is, both you and your boyfriend are chaotic and slightly evil, so the second the video dropped y’all were refreshing twitter to see people’s reactions

It wasn’t unusual for you and ni-ki to hang out in a practice room and just jam, coming up with random choreography combinations for fun

It also wasn’t a secret that the two of you knew each other and hung out, but most just assumed you were friends since you had also hung out with other members of enhypen before 

However neither of you had ever posted anything together aside from mayne a couple of tik toks

So it came as a shock to his fans (and yours) when Ni-Ki went live, only for everyone to see him cozied up in one of hybe’s practice rooms with you 

The live started with the two of you laying on the floor with the phone propped up against the mirror wall at the front of the room, just chatting and giggling over random stuff (losers in love)

In fact Riki was so chatty that fans were even starting to comment on it

‘I swear these two are so chatty together, what's going on??’

Eventually you guys started getting antsy and decided to turn on some music and jam again

“I mean… why not?” you shrugged with a mischievous smile

“It’s a little… risky- don’t you think?” he giggled while unconsciously moving closer to you, but you just giggled in return before starting the choreography while holding eye contact

He laughed a bit in shock, watching you dance for a few more seconds before joining in

By the time the chorus arrived the two of you were locked in, facing forward again toward the camera

It seemed like pretty tame choreography at first with a slightly sensual 

Until the second verse came

You and Riki started crossing paths and interacting more within the choreography, showing off just how much chemistry you have together as dance partners

There were plenty of little moments with little flirtatious touches here and there but the connection was on full display by the last few seconds of the song, with Riki’s arm draped casually around your waist as the two of you swayed side to side

You pretended to walk off as the song ended, still feeling the vibe, but as soon as the next song started playing you screamed dramatically and fell to floor in a heap of embarrassment, leaving your boyfriend to laugh at you from behind

Okay! So I know this might be a bit random, BUT, I have a theory! So all this is based on insta posts, interactions, time lines and connections so it could be 100% wrong.

But basically, a bit before Y/n went to the Eras tour we all know she was a BIG fan of Taylor. And of course she has a brother who is famous (also 2 others). And with that connection to F1 she knew the Alphine drivers, and with that Ryan Reynolds. And as we know Ryan’s is Blake’s wife who is Best friends with Taylor. So when Ryan went to the race he met Y/n cause they where both at alphine garage cause Y/n went to see Kika.

So my theory is; Y/n and Ryan met, they talked (and as some of you know, Y/n is also in love with movies/ marvel and with that Deadpool) so they began talking about that. And because Y/n has a education in Art and English + French we know she made suggestions for the new deadpool movie (confirmed by Ryan), and I don’t think that happens when she was with Kika and in the garage. So they prolly met up some time/messaged or mailed, so they kept in contact.

And am saying that cause if she knew Ryan and met him, she probably met Blake. (And we know she loves gossip girl) so they probably also are friends or at least acquaintances.

This is only one side now on to the real thing!; as we know Y/n went to the Eras Tour, and apparently got invited by Taylor Nation, and besides that got a cardigan (and original one!) plus a lot of CD’s and LP’s. So why would they give that to her? She’s not an influencer or someone famous? And to our information, they aren’t friends.

So I think that Y/n and Taylor met at one of Blake and Ryan’s gatherings/party’s, they are getting talking cause Taylor LOVES hard English words and Y/n has an English degree, they maybe exchange phone numbers, and became friends. Y/n went to the tour, they talked back stage maybe hung out a few more times. Now after this we don’t really have any more info, but with how much Taylor Nation has commented on Y/n’ posts, and with the teasing from her brothers, I think something is going on.

Also i have a small 2nd Theory that is really short; so as we know, Y/n is friends with Gracie and Laufey, and they both opens for Taylor, so Taylor and Y/n could have met through them (like at a party, at the house or smt else)

Living in boston my whole life created a new definition of hell. ESPECIALLY when you’re forever known as the girl who dated Christopher Owen Sturniolo. the last girl he ever dated. he will forever haunt me and my reputation. Chris and i dated from the end of Freshman year till about a couple months after graduation, and we were perfect, i mean we talked marriage, kids, etc. truly the only man i’ve ever envisioned life when i was old and grey with, but unfortunately life had other plans for the both of us. Chris, and his triplet siblings started youtube and filming videos in the car with each other and them being themselves together the internet LOVED them. suddenly they had like 100k subscribers and was continuously growing on the platforms. i was their biggest fan, within those three years Chris’ brothers and his parents became like my own family. about a year after they blew up they signed with WME and moved to LA. chris and i made countless promises and vows to each other that no matter what it’d be us against everything, but again life had other plans. chris ended things with me the night before he moved to LA. blaming it on distance, time zones, and everything else. i was always right were he left me, in boston, at the house i grew up in, the city we drove around all the time, the same grocery store he got in trouble at multiple times for not doing his job and “flirting with the customers”, which was just me, the schools we went to, and the high school we graduated at. never left. i knew i could never be just friends with him. ever. he meant way too much to me for me to just accept the fact that we were not together. time passed and they kept growing and growing on youtube, which was amazing for him and his brothers and stuff but i’ve always felt out of place in boston, everyone knew about us and our breakup and how negatively chris spoke on having a girlfriend and how “scared” he was of having a girlfriend and his irrational fear of women. most of these bitches around here had ZERO context to those clips that always found their way to me, and made me seem like it was my fault and no one ever corrected anything about that. we weren’t toxic, we weren’t anything bad, we were US.

-FLASH BACK-

chris and i were sitting on his bed, discussing the future of us, well the future of him, not us. unfortunately for me this was the last time he’d be in boston for a while as this was his last night living here, i had tears in my eyes, still holding onto the hope of him, the hope of us, but i knew it was already over.

“i’m sorry Y/N, i really am, i just- i wanna-“ he stutters “i gotta focus on me man, life is moving faster then i can handle” he said choking on his own words.

“i understand, make that money, but don’t let it make you”

“regardless of anything, you’ll always be the biggest part of my life, and i promise i wont forget you or anything. i still hold so much love for you, always, please never forget that.” he voice breaks. i knew he didn’t want this, he knew i didn’t want this, but in some fucked up way, this truly was the end.

-END OF FLASHBACK-

being 21 years old and still living with my parents definitely wasn’t the ideal choice for me but finding a place close by to the house was the hardest thing, especially since my mom holds a very special place to me, moving out of state or something like that doesn’t seem like the right thing to me.

today was an average day for me, shopping, i love shopping, or spending money to be fair. i found myself back at the mall for like the 3rd time this month, this time i was actually here for something i desperately needed. Jayla is one of my best friends i’ve had since 2nd grade, she’s finally getting married and i need an outfit for the reception dinner. i’m not the girliest person but i do love to clean up every now and again.

i found myself in zumiez looking at their new clothes they got in, when my ear perked up to a familiar sound of laughter from a specific person, my head jerked back like an owl, and low and behold, Christopher Owen Sturniolo, walking into the same shop as i’m in. now it wasn’t abnormal for him to be back in his hometown but we had never been in the same place at the same time, till now which was weird because, chris was never an in person shopper, he loved online shopping and having shit delivered by the comfort of his own bed, but to actually see him, in person, in front of my eyes, was crazy, it’d had been at least pushing 5 years since i had seen him, he looked somewhat the same but older, it’s like i had seen a ghost, my eyes were bigger then the whole sky, and my throat clogged like i had a frog in it, my heart sped up in a panic, why was i scared? this was the same man who has seen every inch of my body, inside and out, took my virginity, was my first kiss, why was i scared?

my eyes darted around the room for somewhere i could hide behind and see if i could find an escape plan without looking like i was stealing or something but i knew i just needed to get away. i crouched down behind a display of Ed Hardy track suits but my disguise didn’t last too long.

“Y/N?” his voice. deeper then i last heard, and his once slight boston accent he held was gone.

i sighed as i stood up straight to face the face of a man who truly made me feel what emptiness and heartbreak felt like “hey” my voice shook slightly. i didn’t hate him. i couldn’t. i just can’t ever look at him the same without reminiscing about our past.

“oh my god” he smiles and comes closer to me and instantly wrapped his arms around my neck. “god it’s been ages. how the fuck are you dude?” he squeezed tightly before pulling back.

i let out a slight giggle, still trying to grasp what the fuck is happening “i’m good yeah, Jaylas getting married so just doing some browsing”

“oh my god, can you believe people our age is getting married? like i just can’t imagine how people are having kids and shit now, crazy work honestly” i laughed it off as usual. “dude i’m in boston for like the next week or two, oh my god theres so much we need to catch up on holy shit” he says while adjusting his beanie he had on.

“oh it’s crazy” i nervously laughed “it’s been a little bit yeah”

“maybe we should catch up or something? nothing too serious just causal you know?” he says with a smile on his face.

i stood there for a moment taking in his offer, i wanted to say no, but i couldn’t say no when those blue eyes i once was in love with gazing down at me with joy in them “uh yeah fuck it why not, my numbers never changed so if you still have that by any chance you can text me and stuff and maybe we can link up sometime?” i said softly playing with my bracelet on my wrist.

“what makes you think i have that?” he says giving me his signature smirk, “i’m fucking with you kid, i still have it” he chuckles softly.

“well fortunately for you, i am free this weekend but i have work till then” i say shooting him a pouty face.

“i can work with that” he smiles at me. god i’ve missed that smile.

“well i gotta go, it was nice to see you again chris, just text me” i smile back at him.

“it was amazing to see you Y/N/N, i’m looking forward to catching up with you” he smiled at me as i walked out of the store.

my jaw was still slack, my face still pale, the only thing going through my head was ‘what the fuck’ over and over again. in what universe would i randomly bump into my now famous ex boyfriend, after almost 5 years of no contact, while shopping for my best friends wedding? was this some sick joke? was i dreaming? so many questions and thoughts i had no answer to that i wish i could answer but maybe this was a good thing? maybe it wasn’t? should i hang out with him? what would happen? would i just become an old friend to him? or just his favorite hookup to come home to? was he even like that? i have no clue who that kid is anymore. but something told me that wasn’t the chris i was in love with anymore, but i was too stunned to even think about him in that way, i still somehow held onto to the same 17 year old chris i was in love with with a goofy frat boy look and a slight boston accent.

the weekend couldn’t have came slower. my work week ended, thankfully but painfully slower then an average week. chris and i decided to meet up at Hunters Kitchen, where he took me out to dinner after his shift at the grocery store one night. of course my nerves got me there faster then he did and i was too busy worrying if he was gonna stand me up i ended up drinking at least 5 glasses of water before he even showed up. he showed up on time, wearing a black beanie, camo cargo pants, and a black tee, his eye scanned the room to see if i was here and found me sitting there and shooting a soft warm smile towards me as he found his way to the table.

“early as always Y/N” he joked.

“i had to get here before all the yougins take all the good seats around here” i laughed softly looking at him through my eyelashes trying to get a good read of his vibe.

“wasn’t this the place where we went after i got off work back in high school?” he smiled looking around the room.

“you remembered?” i smiled softly.

“how could i forget?” he chuckled “not much has changed, though i do hope the pasta got better since the last time i was here, Nate and i ended up with some serious stomach aches after eating here one night” he shook his head, reminiscing about the memory he shared here.

“well why don’t you tell me how life’s been treating you? what you been up to? how’s LA?” i brought the glass of water up to my lips taking a soft drink of my water trying to not loose the conversation with him. why did i find it so hard to talk to him? we practically grew up together.

“dude” he starts, taking a deep breath, “Matt, Nick and i just got off our second tour we’ve ever done, it was amazing bro, we met so many fans, saw different parts of city’s i didn’t even know like existed, holy shit dude, i finally got my drivers license after like years of being ubered around by matt, god it’s amazing, nick still can’t drive, oh my god i got tattoo, i’ve met amazing people living in LA, and if you thought the parties we used to go to were fun? the parties i’ve been too in LA are NOTHING compared to the ones we’ve been to” he laughed softly still continuing to speak on how life’s been and i just can’t help but ponder on how life would be had we stayed together, but also how great life has been for him, his life began when we broke up and it felt like mine just slowed down. i’m 21 still living with my parents, never went to college, not that im worried about that, but his life seems like a dream, and he’s living his dreams, all the shit he used to wish and dream about came true. i was still listening to him and picking up on what he was talking about and he wasn’t the same person anymore. something had changed but i couldn’t put my finger on it.

“enough about me, how’s life treating you, Tink?” he smiles at me softly.

“Tink?” i laughed softly at the use of the nickname he gave me when we were young and i dressed up at Tinkerbell for halloween one day in 4th grade for this stupid halloween costume competition we had in school. “surprised you remembered that honestly,” i chuckled softly “well, nothing much or nothing drastic changed, still living around here, working most my days, shopping on my days off, i mean i got promoted at work last month which is good” i let out a nervous laugh as my life wasn’t as exciting as his day to day life. “Jayla’s getting married and i’ve been helping her out and stuff, just with the small stuff, but umm yeah that’s about it” i let out a small sigh.

“oh my god, hows your mom and them doing? i’ve missed them, and god i miss your moms chicken pot pie, lord that woman knows how to bust it down in that kitchen” he chuckled.

“they’re alright, i’m sure their tired of me still being there but, they ain’t too bad, just them honestly nothings changed” i shrugged my shoulders and let a soft smile appear on my lips.

“you still staying with them?” he questioned cocking his head to the side “not that i’m judging or anything like that but i’m just curious”

i took a deep breath in before answering his question “uhh yeah, not ideally where i thought i’d be at but it’s not completely awful” i nervously chuckled.

“i mean that’s cool too, your parents have always been chill like that” he shrugged. that’s something i’ve always loved about chris, he never judged me or anyone. “bro i didn’t even tell you about i went to summer smash over the summer, dude it was amazing. so im friends with skies, which is still crazy to me, having that man’s number now, i went on stage with skies AGAIN, and Sam? dude that man is phenomenal, he’s just fucking amazing, oh and i went to the lyrical lemonade head quarters with matt and it was like one big full circle moment for me bruh, seeing all these people i used to listen to or have posters of and being in the head quarters of THE lyrical lemonade, oh my god Y/N, moving to LA was the best decision i’ve ever made for myself” he smiled exhaling some air from his chest.

my life couldn’t compare to that, i mean the most exciting thing i could tell him was about job and Jayla. i didn’t have many friends, at least not anymore, like my entire reputation here is knowing Chris and his brothers. the only thing i could do was just smile and nod. i was happy for him but the questions still ponder in my mind from time to time of where the fuck would life be if he HADN’T dumped me.

“so moral of the story life’s been treating you well huh?” my tone shifted slightly unintentionally, and i could tell chris picked up on that. i wasn’t envious of him or anything, no where close, but maybe it was the twist of the knife for me knowing he’s been going places and living his life to the fullest and i’m still right here in boston, still, after all this time.

“you good? you just went from like a 10 to a 5 real quick Tink?” he smiled at me softly.

“nah nah im good just- i had a long week at work that’s all” i sighed softly.

“okay well um, you got anything special going on? you seeing anyone?” he asked awkwardly. i could tell he knew something inside me shifted, i mean for god sake he’s known me since we were young, if he was still the same man as he was, we both knew he could read me like the back of his hand.

“long story short, no and FUCK no” i answered quickly and laughed.

“no one new around here catching your eye? or like you one of those girls who is like picky on who you date?” he shot me a playful smirk while shimming his shoulders in attempt to lighten the mood.

i swallowed the lump in my throat while deciding how to answer this question. it’s either i tell him he ruined my chances with people around here or i just tell him im too busy with work i don’t have time for that. “something like that” i say giving him a nervous laugh.

“okay im officially lost” he chuckled “which one is it Y/N” he shot me that signature smirk again.

“well” i sighed “i don’t wanna say the wrong thing or anything but-“ i sighed “a couple clips of you and tiktok’s of you talking about being afraid of women, and lip syncing about your past relationship and i don’t know what else anyway, they kinda was trending around the streets of boston because my reputation and my life apparently everyone knows i was the last woman you dated and now people are deathly afraid of doing anything other then hooking up with me…” i looked down at my lap fiddling with my fingers.

“shit” he whispers to himself “Y/N, you know i didn’t mean anything like that,”

“no no i get it, i just- it’s- you didn’t know, plus i mean like i care about what other people think of me anyway… just- i- fuck- don’t even worry about what i said, truly it doesn’t bug me, at all, like i really don’t care about people’s personas of me at all, i just thought maybe considering you were the one who dumped me and we ended things very very well and wasn’t nothing toxic, going on the internet talking the way you do about relationships and women, people assume i was the one who caused us to end things and seem like i fucked you over.” i sighed softly looking up at him as his expression changed, still fiddling with my sliver ring i had on my middle finger.

“oh” he shrugged it off “man i thought it was worse then that honestly” he chuckled softly.

i raised my eyebrow slightly in slight anger but also in disbelief, i mean this was the same man who used to threaten to punch anyone who looked at me and let alone even slightly hurt my feelings he would have their head on a platter? i mean i know we weren’t together but damn i really thought i meant more then just a shrug and a laugh “that’s all?”

“what do you mean?” he replied still smiling “i mean i thought you just straight up swore off dating or something, it ain’t nothin too crazy Tink”

“chris,” i scoffed “you do realize that whatever you’ve said about women or girlfriends or anything else of the such, people AUTOMATICALLY, assume it’s ME, weather you’re referencing some hookup or whatever you wanna call it, you don’t ever clarify anything, you make a joke and laugh it off, and clips will follow me everywhere i fucking go, to the point where i went on a ‘date’ like over a YEAR after we broke up and not even joking you, the dude straight up goes ‘oh yeah you dated that triplet dude’ and then later stated ‘you must have fucked him up good for him to be talking all that shit on you’ it follows me and men avoid me like the PLAGUE, like they think i’m a monster” my mood completely changed. chris just sat there listening like it didn’t bother him. it doesn’t bother me near as much as it used to but it’s something I’VE dealt with. what bothers me the most is the lack of empathy towards me.

“it’s really not that deep Y/N, both you and i know it’s not true, im not sure why you’re all upset about this” once again chris shrugged his shoulders and laughed it off.

“first off, i’m not upset anymore about it, it’s honestly whatever, but you do realize that you have a digital footprint, like videos of you at 17 are constantly still going around to this day, right? like even if it’s deleted there’s people out there who STILL have them, but, what i’m mad about is the fact that you literally dumped me, moved away, then went on with your life in LA, never thought twice on how sometimes the shit that comes out of your mouth on camera and in tiktoks and shit doesn’t affect you but people around you right? like it affected me, chris, like back in the day i was thuggin’ with you, we was living it up, i was clubbing with you, traveling, and now im nothing to you and you’re nothing to me” i sighed out of relief, like a weight just lifted off my chest.

“Y/N, that’s not true bro, you still mean a lot to me, but obviously we didn’t work out so we’re not together, im not sure the problem here” he says slouching back in the seat.

“i was in love with you, but you just ain’t who you used to be” i sighed “i don’t regret you, but i cannot forget you, but your acting like the entirety of our breakup was bad? like you’re genuinely acting like you didn’t just breakup with me because of distance” i scoffed and rolled my eyes at him.

“i’m not 17 anymore, of course i’ve changed, and honestly it’s for the better, 17 year old chris wore his heart on his sleeve, now i protect my peace” he shook his head and shrugged his shoulders once again.

“i want the old you back” i said shaking my head with an expression of disbelief and disgust upon my face. “i can’t fuck with your kind”

“my kind? i’m not an animal Y/N” he scoffed.

“never said you were christopher, im just saying i can’t fuck with this new you, you’re practically heartless now, i mean you wanna talk so much shit on matt for being this way but you’re fucking worse then him on this whole ‘tough kid’ act or whatever you wanna call this” i could tell i obviously pressed a button on him but at this point i could care less on how he feels, he acted like ruining my reputation around here was nothing, it’s nothing to him because it doesn’t affect him, it doesn’t matter how people perceive him because it doesn’t bother him bc it’s not following him around like a disease.

“it’s not an act, i’ve just learned how to not give a fuck, and honestly maybe you should try it, because according to you, i’ve changed but you haven’t changed one bit. you were the whole reason i got into so many fights in school, because all you did was whine about what people were saying about you and how they looked at you when you were with me or how other girls looked at me. all you did was bitch and worry, bitch and worry” he rolled his eyes and slouched in the chair further.

“whatever chris, obviously this wasn’t what i had in mind, but im glad it ended up like this because now i don’t have to worry anymore about how my life would be had we stayed together because i think i would have been miserable if i stayed with you, and you turned into whatever the fuck this was.” i say grabbing my purse and reaching for a 20 dollar bill to slam on the table for all the waters i bought while we never got around to actually ordering anything besides a couple drinks.

“real classy, Y/N, walk away like always” he slightly raised his voice as i walked out of the restaurant.

it pains me that the one man i truly loved turned out to be an absolute dick. the one man who i truly let the closet to me. my first everything. in just a few short years he turned into the person him and i used to make fun of together. time changes everything but i never thought it would change the basic human morals of people, i never thought that he would change so drastically into a person who would give no fucks on how his actions have affected a person he was closest to, besides his brothers. the chris i once knew was long gone, the boy i fell in love with freshman year was gone, the goofy, caring, overprotective, chris i once knew was never coming back, and for some reason, i was okay with that, all those questions i once had, the doubts, went away and my mind was at peace with it after all the years pondering i knew i never had to worry again. at least about him, my reputation still maintained the same but eventually in divine timing things would work out for me.

A/N p2: YALLL… WHAT WE THINK……. i personally fuck with this, it took me 2 days to write this because literally this story could have ended in so many ways, i mean smut, no smut, happy ending, none happy ending, but honestly if you listen to the song you’ll understand why i chose the ending!! BUT I LOVE YOU ALL SO SO MUCH AND I HOPE YOU GUYS HAVE AN AMAZING DAY AS ALWAYS!!!

The red string is an invisible string with only the users being able to see it. On the other end of the string, it is supposed to be your soulmate. Someone that is your other half, someone that the universe itself said was perfect for you. At the age of 18, you get to see the string in completeness, it's like officially becoming an adult. Some people do find their soulmates before the ripe age but most don't find their other half till well into their twenties. 

There is this website that the government set up, it is called ‘The SoulTies.’ This website is run by a mysterious group that knows when soulmates complete their bond and on this website, you can see who is paired with who. The website came about mainly for celebrities because a lot of casualties happened when crazed fans pushed too much to find their favs soulmates. This was the compromise, and surprisingly it worked. No one knows how these people know, it is almost like the gray sisters and the string of fate except they don't cut the string, and the string is red and involves love. Something the Greeks thought of as a tragedy and not a serendipity. I think the website is funny, not in a mean way. Moreso seeing well-known people get paired with nobodies. It’s nice knowing that the ones who acted full of themselves get humbled by their fate. I haven’t met my soulmate yet, 

I am almost 19 and a month into my freshman year of college with no friends, barely a social life, and no soulmate. Though I wasn't expecting to find him on day one of moving into college, it is still disheartening when you see others with their lovers or soulmates and your red string is so tight it can cut a block of cheese. See the further you are away from your soulmate the tighter the string, when you guys get closer to each other the string will loosen. I was hoping that moving to a different state would give me a fresh start in this whole life mess, but it just made me more depressed than I have ever been. 

I let out a long sigh as my thoughts consumed me, I adjusted the bag on my back and skipped through a few songs. The nice weather and lack of students around made the hell walk to my class more bearable. Recently I have been getting back into listening to BTS, the music makes me less stressed about life, and I get to reminisce about how happy they make me. When I was a tween and didn’t know about the struggles of financial debt and stupid people. I put on one of their albums as I made my way to my philosophy class. BTS as I recently found out are all soulmates with each other, they decided to let the world know a few years ago but I guess I was living underneath a rock when the news broke out. It makes sense in my opinion, all being soul-tied, and it's not like group soul bonds don't exist, they are uncommon, sure but not rare. A part of me, the delusional side of me, secretly hoped it would be one of them. That I was fated to be with Taehyung or maybe Jungkook. I know a lot of their more toxic fans were upset by this announcement as I went into a rabbit hole on the whole matter. The outrage by the delusional fans where overshadowed by the more competent people and was overall taken very well. 

I made myself laugh at the thought as I took my seat in the filled classroom. I gave a soft smile to the two girls who sat by me as I placed my headphones into my bag and grabbed my laptop. I make a quick Google doc so I can pretend to take notes and pull my phone out to check any notifications I may have gotten on my walkover. I smile as I see a text from an old friend, Lauren. Me and her graduated from the same high school and we were some of the very few people to move out of state for college because of this we stayed in contact with each other; hoping to lessen the stress of college and being in a new state. 

LaLaRen: Hi, I know this is sudden and you can say no to me, but I got these concert tickets from a classmate and I was wondering if you want to come with me. I think you know this band and it is happening this Saturday. 

Me: Omg, I would love to, who is the band? :] 

LaLaRen: It is the K-pop band BTS. I only really know a few songs from them. But I remember hearing from Sarah that you love them, or maybe like K-pop in general. 

Me: No fucking way- OMG YES I WOULD GO WITH YOU PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE 

LaLaRen: Haha, okay okay how about you come down Friday so we can go shopping and hangout for a little ;0 

Me: Sounds wonderful ;]

I giggle softly to myself as I feel the energy surging in me. I have always wanted to see a BTS concert and now here is my golden opportunity, fuck willy wonka this is more amazing than his chocolate factor.

When I got back from my class, I threw my bag onto my half-made bed and sat down at my desk. I grab my laptop out of my school bag to send off an email to my professors letting them know of my absence for tomorrow. As much as me and Lauren can plan around our classes, it would be easier for us not to have them. Plus I don’t believe I can sit through another psychology lesson knowing I was going to see the biggest boy band ever. 

 My phone set off as I finished sending the emails and looking into bus tickets, the caller ID displaying ‘LaLaRen’ I laughed to myself as I accepted the call. “Hi girl,” I said to the phone smiling as Lauren laughed I placed my phone on the messy desk putting the call onto speaker so I can try and muilty task, “Hello girly, so when do you think you will be down?” she asked me with a small giggle, it looked like she was equally as excited for this. “Well it's a 3-hour bus ride, if I leave at nine I can potentially get there around noon,” I click through the website the bus service has, seeing the available times for tomorrow Internally groaning at the prices for the bus. Maybe if I start walking now I will make it in time. 

A groan gets let out through the speakers “The three-hour bus ride sounds intense, do you want to spend the night at my dorm so you don't have to take the bus after the concert?” Lauren tells me, the way she says that is more of a statement than a question. “Oh my god, a sleepover with THE Lauren, of course,” I responded to her with a high-pitched voice. We both laughed at that and spent the next few hours going over the plan and creating backup plans just in case. 

You never know what can happen in the cities. Crazy people even more crazy traffic. Expense coffees and overrated bangle places. I sign knowing that my bank account will suffer after this 2-day trip.  After our call ended, I took out my school notebooks and folders from my school bag; to use as an overnight bag. I never really had the thought of buying another backpack, I never went anywhere in my hometown to need one. Perks of being a loner with friends who would rather play video games than have sleepovers. I walked over to my dresser, placed my newly empty backpack on top of it, and began packing it with some clothes. Me and Lauren both agreed to shop for a concert outfit and get some coffee before the concert on Saturday. I bit my bottom lips as anxiety fills my stomach, shopping for clothes has always been hard for me. Not that I don't enjoy it, in fact going thrifting is one of my favorite things. 

More so the part where I have to shop for pants or skirts or any bottoms for that matter, I am in the weird awkward body type where I am not fat enough for the plus size clothing but chubby enough to not be able to fit into any size below a 16, even then some 16 pants are too small for me. With Lauren being smaller and skinnier than me I hope it goes over well shopping and we don’t need to go to a hundred different shops just to find one pair of pants that fit me. With that, I put a pair of black cargo pants into my overnight bag. It goes with a lot of outfits just in case I can only find a top to wear.

I like to think I am not super insecure about my weight, though being the fat kid growing up and now even if my weight is distributed through my body after puberty, I still have a stomach to me, I still have big thighs and I still have a chubby face. The comments made to you, even as a kid, stick with you for the rest of your life. I know I am attractive and I am confident in myself, but the insecurity is still there. Especially when you don’t fit into what society wants as a mid-size person, I have a small chest size that makes me pass off as a guy. Another thing that I don't mind as I really don’t care about my gender. But it is whatever. It makes finding a boyfriend hard but makes boys with fragile masculinities pissed off easier, a small win in my book. 

I snap out of my degrading thoughts as I finish packing my bag, adding in a few accessories and perfume. I grumble as the dining halls are now closed; though the food was probably not going to be that good anyway. I place the bag at the end of my bed and debated on ordering some takeout but with the money I was going to be spending tomorrow, I decide to try and sleep. Though I know I won’t sleep for a good while,  I can spend the night relearning fan chants and old songs. But like usual  I spent the next hour scrolling through social media, stalking old classmates before I ended up falling asleep out of exhaustion. 

I woke up that morning with a newfound pep in my step, getting dressed and ready was a blur of excitement and anxiety some thoughts of telling Lauren I don’t want to go anymore pop into my head once and a while, but I can not let my anxiety get in the way of seeing my seven fake husbands. After I was done with everything I did a final check around my small dorm making sure that I had everything As I adjusted the straps of the bag, so it fits more comfortably on my shoulders I pulled out my phone to book an Uber to the bus. I give myself one more look in the mirror before heading out of the building. I can drive by the way, but in this economy, it's impossible to buy a car. But still super expensive to use Uber everywhere, it is always a lose-lose situation. A huge fuck you to the poor and stupid college kids just trying to have fun. Maybe my soulmate is some rich dude who can drive me everywhere. Being a forever-passenger princess doesn't sound too bad. 

As I wait for the driver to come I sent a quick text to Lauren that I was on my way to the bus station which she answered with a simple ‘Okay’ My Uber drive was quick as my nerves got my adrenaline rushing throughout my body, tomorrow I am going to be seeing my all-time favorite band, and who knows maybe my soulmate will be there. He needs to have good taste in music if he wants to be with me. Though it would be easy to indoctrinate him into the BTS lifestyle. 

 I give the driver a small ‘thank you’ as I stepped out of the car just in time for the bus to be pulling in. I pulled out my phone to show them the ticket I bought last night and make my over to the bus seeing as it was filling up. I give the driver a polite smile as he gave me a nod singling that I was good to sit down wherever I wanted to. I made my way down the aisle before taking a seat in an empty section. I prayed to whatever God out there that I had to row to myself. As lady luck is on my side I get the two seats to myself as the bus pulls out of the station, I readjust the headphones on my head as I am going to heavily rely on music during this drive, maybe I can sneak in a nap beforehand too. 

The three-hour ride went well, very well it felt like only 3 minutes. Maybe I am way too excited for this concert but I never had the privilege to be this hopeful in my life. I wait a little as the bus comes to a stop and people begin to step off the bus. As I also take my leave on the bus I quickly spot Lauren, her long black hair and chunky glasses give her away pretty easily. We pulled each other into a hug letting out excited giggles. “Are you ready for city traffic?” Lauren asks me with wiggling eyebrows “Of course” I say back to her, we begin to take off to meet up with Lauren’s soulmate who would be driving us. We talked about the concert and the songs we hope to hear. The sounds of traffic, people talking, kids yelling and cars honking filled the air like an unwelcomed hug from your weird aunt; uncomfortable but familiar I nodded my head along as Lauren rants about how close we are going to be to the stage and hoping to see Namjoon that close up

Then for the first time in my life, I felt a tug, anxiety filled my stomach as I froze in my tracks, and my heartbeat went through the roof as I looked down at the red thread I usually forget about, it loosened. Holy shit I am near my soulmate. Holy shit. Lauren notices that I stop walking and now staring at my pinky finger asks me “Are you okay?” I initially looked around the bus station, there were a lot of people walking around, too many to see where the string goes. “Is it your soulmate?” Lauren asks me again. I couldn't speak, my mouth dry as I gave her a shaky nod.

But unfortunately just as it loosens it quickly tightens again, meaning my soulmate either left or is on a bus going further away from me. “I wonder if he felt it” I questioned out loud, looking at Lauren with shaken eyes. She sighs, almost equally disappointed “Come on Clare is waiting for us, we don’t want to keep her waiting.” Lauren tells me, grabbing my hand and basically dragging me to the exit. I can’t stop staring at my red thread, there's hope. There is always hope. Now I at least can find comfort that he is in the States, and not in Korea or Russia or anything far away.

Before you know it, Paige pulls you onto the ground with her and the two of you roll down the hill together. It was calming almost, to have such a release, you felt all the stress that has built up these past few weeks from school leave your body as you laugh along with Paige. When you reach the bottom of the hill, you were laying in the grass, inches away from her face.

Paige’s blue eyes looked back into yours, before looking down at your lips and back to your eyes. Your breathing shortens, you’ve never even been this close to a girl before. the last comment makes you smile, one last look to the picture of charles on the screen (one you had taken) before you lock your phone, tucking it into the bag on your shoulder. it had been a magical few weeks — that time in a relationship that felt like you were floating, on top of the world. despite all of the comments online, criticism of die hard formula one fans, nothing could touch the pair of you. charles leclerc had swept you off of your feet, and there was nothing you could have done to stop it.

there was a party being thrown that night, one for all of the drivers, a small opportunity to relax after weeks and weeks of racing. lewis had sent you the location, some big nightclub in barcelona that the fia had rented out. full of celebrities, some you knew, some you didn’t. but you knew the drivers, at least.

“y/n!” lando slurs out, stumbling into your view as soon as you’d stepped inside the loud, dark room. the music was pumping, vibrating through your entire body and shaking your chest. you grinned at the young english driver’s evident drunkenness, many drinks ahead of you. “so glad you made it!”

“hi, lando,” you chuckle, patting his damp shoulder. he takes your hand, murmuring something about how nice your dress looked, before dragging you to the area that the driver’s had made themselves comfortable. each and every one of them greeted you kindly, hugging you and kissing your cheek. lewis slung an arm across your shoulder, pulling you into a photo without warning.

“hey! she was my best friend before she was charles’ girlfriend — back off.”

a smile tugs at your lips, fondly leaning into lewis’ grip. as they continue drinking, you make yourself comfortable with the other girlfriends, each of who had taken you under their wing.

“hey, have you seen charles?” you lean across to talk right in lily’s ear, the only way she’d have heard you. her eyes dart around, trying to place the monegasque boy amongst the crowds. she shakes her head, mirroring your previous position.

“last i saw him, he was going to get drinks.”

you send her a grateful smile, getting up to look over to where the bar was. you wanted to see him, desperately. to kiss him again, to have him hold you too close as you dance. as much as you loved lewis and the others, charles was the reason you were here.

excitement danced in your eyes, lovesick as you searched for the boy you’d committed to memory. you find him, right at the side of the bar, waiting for a drink. you push past someone to get closer, widening your view of him. your view of him and another: a brunette girl. she’s got her hand in his hair, her lips dancing near his ear. he laughs at whatever she says, handing her a glass of something.

your heart drops. right from your chest to the floor below you, and even though you haven’t had a drop to drink you swear you could throw up right there. he knew you were coming, didn’t he? either way, he didn’t seem to care. preoccupied with another, too cosy and too close, you want to laugh. how could you have been so stupid?

after minutes of being frozen to the same spot, shaken awake by the salt water that drips down your cheeks. fight or flight kicks in, six inch heels wobbling as you hurry backwards, pushing through everyone once again. tunnel vision to the exit, shoulder crashing roughly with another. a hard grip turns you to look at them, the silhouette of lewis blurred from your teary eyes.

“y/n, what—”

“i have to go. i’m sorry.”

☆ Keeho a famous influencer wants to make his radio talk show view ratings sky rocket. So what does he do, he invites two of his kpop idol friends from school to join to do a segment with him. But he had no idea the two used to rivals back in their school days. He also had no idea them bickering for half an hour would absolutely blow up and cause fans to start shipping them.

- chris would try to act a bit more “chill” and “nonchalant” before you guys date, but once it’s official he turns into the sweetest boy ever. he becomes almost soft spoken when it comes to you and you only.

- he goes to you for fashion advice since he can’t really match clothes. you take him shopping and dress him up in a way that he’s comfortable with but also looks so fine. he might even make one of those tiktoks “my style before and after my gf.” he also loves matching with you for sure.

- speaking of clothes, he LOVESSS when you wear his shirts and hoodies. it doesn’t matter if they’re baggy, tight, or well-fitted on you, he just thinks you look so beautiful in his clothes and he thinks it’s cute how giggly you get and how you burry your face in them admiring his lingering scent. he’ll let you keep your fav hoodie of his too.

- he cannot go to sleep without you. we all know how he’s always sleeping in nick and matt’s rooms, but ever since you got together, he only sleeps in his bed, yours, or the couch but you HAVE to be there or else what else is he gonna cuddle??

- i think it’s a given that he likes when you play with his hair, it’s his weakness fr. but sometimes when you’re bored you start braiding his hair or trying different hairstyles on him like man bun, piggy tails, space buns or your personal favourite half up half down with some strands falling out. he acts like he’s annoyed when you do this but he melts at the feeling of your fingers in his hair.

- he’ll just be looking up with heart eyes at you focusing so hard to perfect the hair style for him and secretly smiling every time you get excited at how cute he looks and the little kisses you cover his face with. he’s so whipped it’s crazy.

- he’s a part of the sassy men apocalypse idc. being in a relationship with chris is mostly joking around and poking fun at each other. so when he’s in a goofy mood and you shrug him off bc you’re busy or not focused he’ll go “oh so you don’t love me anymore?? i see.”

- “babe literally what’s more important than me rn this is insanity.” you always call each other bro but when hes feeling sassy and you call him bro he’ll say, “are you bro/friend zoning me rn. what the fuck.” and sometimes he doesn’t even respond and just crosses his arms dramatically looking away until you say his name or “babe/baby”

- he takes pictures of things he noted you like before eg. the sky, sunsets, flowers, cats, etc. and sends them to you bc it reminds him of you and he knows how excited you get over them.

- he’s a mama’s boy i stand by that, so it’s important for him that you get along with mary lou, which you do! mary lou loves you so much he starts to get jealous of both of you because you’re “stealing” his mom and you’re spending more time with her that chris starts to miss you.

- i feel like in general chris is a bit touch deprived, like in vids he’s always reaching for his brothers’ hands or resting on them, hugging them, leaning on them when laughing etc. now that he has you, you get all these little touches, playing with your fingers subconsciously, tracing circles on your thighs occasionally squeezing it, rests his arms on your shoulder when you’re standing somewhere, always hugging and kissing you on the cheek, forhead, corner of your lips, and even boops your nose sometimes 😭.

- he definitely is always looking at you with loving heart eyes all the time that fans start to make edits of “the way he looks at you” and you both eat them up.

- when he’s sick he turns into a literal child, you have to baby him or else you’ll never hear the end of his whining and complaining. but it’s okay bc when you’re sick he does the same.

- overall that man is just whipped for you fr and his brothers tease him for it sometimes but he doesn’t care (he literally punches their arm almost every time and tells them to shut up but we move!)
