What’s your favorite Sims death?

Probably Old Age because I love it when my Sims have fully lived their lives before passing away :) The other one I like is Electrocution because the Sims look so funny 😂

I don't. I only make them work out if they roll a want to work out or increase their athletic skill, and/or if they receive an athletic-related opportunity.

I have many faves, it's hard to choose 😅 probably the More Entry Points, Business as Unusual Bistro by Ani and almost all mods from @simsi45. I also love the custom weather presets from @pudding-parade and lighting mods from @brntwaffles

How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing?

Sims style, meaning CAS style, the Sims themselves? I'm not really sure what to say 🤣🤣🤣 My style has always been a mixture of retro and modern, and largely based on the Sims' personalities themselves. If they're premades, I have always based their outfits/makeovers on their original look, just enhance it and put my twist on them, still considering their personalities. I also look for real-life inspiration online. I guess what I can say has really changed is that I became more adventurous with using colors and patterns on their outfits, and doing more mix-and-matching. In terms of portrait presentation, it has changed, from a minimalist wall to a more appropriate, lively, colorful background.

In Photoshop, I increase brightness and vibrance of my photos, then use Topaz Clean to smoothen the edges 😁

What expansion / game pack is your favorite?

This is a hard one. I love almost all of TS3 EPs. For the first place, it's a tie between Ambitions, Late Night and University Life for me.

Here goes another "detox day one", lol.

Today started a little better. I think the biggest "antagonist" was likely eggs. I cut them out when I got the allergy results.

Egg whites was the only thing high on both the allergy AND intolerance results.

It kicked in quite hard after breakfast, but it usually hits earlier than that.

Have to get the milk reaction out of my system now.

Got up and out for a lovely little morning walk. That half hour first thing from getting out of bed does me so much good.

New breakfast idea. Got a bit fancy with the few ingredients I have, that I'm still allowed to eat.

Chia seed protein powder, plus actual chia seeds, cacao powder, coconut "flour", mixed with olive oil. Apple, cinnamon and walnuts. Liquorice root.

I usually just have the apple and a bigger portion of nuts, but I felt like trying something a bit unusual.

Black coffee blended with more olive oil, collagen peptide powder and inulin.

Feels good to have breakfast outside. Autumn is almost here, but I'm going to enjoy the remains of good weather for as long as I can.

I got into sme fabulous weight training before lunch.

Upper body today.

Chest press, wide grip rows, bench pullovers and seated shoulder press.

I'm refocusing on strength. But still staying away from bicep work. Need to try keep the bulk to a minimum!

I ended with a brief "sprint interval". I'm researching different things, and this is the latest one to take my notice.

Just a few minutes of all-out effort to finish a strength session.

I'm all about Stacy Sims right now. Her tag line is "women are not little men". And sprint intervals are her recommendation for menopausal chicks like me.

I've been listening to podcasts with her over the last couple of weeks. Love her ethos!

And I started her book last night.

I'm on it, Stacy! New focus - Get strong. Get hormonally healthy. Get back to my best!

I used plank jacks for that "finisher" today.

Five fast intervals, longer rest intervals between. Oof. Yeah.

The end of that little vid? That's how full effort intervals are supposed to hit you!

Feel great! Definitely appreciated a nice coffee (insrsnt with oatmilk) and a bit of a chill before making lunch.

And it was a good lunch, of course.

Chicken and avocado salad with grapes.

Fresh ginger, paprika and turmeric.

Herbs and spices are so good for us. Full of beneficial polyphenols. And they taste great!

Another lovely walk. Longer this time. Forest trails with the boss-man 😊

Today has been pretty good all round.

If the combination of intolerances and allergens were the cause of the mucus problem, it's no doubt going to take a while for everything to clear out of my very clogged up system! Have to remain optimistic.

Good day for an average fast, food and fitness. Feel better than I have in quite a while!

2. Alpha CC or Maxis Match? I do mix a lot but it definitely depends on the project I am doing and if it will work with it.

3. Do you cheat when your sims gain weight? My sims are all different shapes and sizes and I love it. They will only change if they get the moodlet of body insecurity (mod).

I would love to see a mesh edit of the fireplace from EL, with the weird rocks replaced by the wood from the SE fireplaces! Bonus points if there's also a version without the weird box and shelf (so just the main fireplace body and chimney).

I’ve got a build mode submission for the wishlist that I’ve been looking for for a long time; I’d really love a wig stand with some hairstyles that can go on top if possible. I’ve seen it done by alpha creators but the only MM one I found, the download link no longer works and it broke my heart

Fantastic idea. Let's give it a shot! I would love to see if a creator could and would be able to create a maxis-match classic Ballet Workout Set. Including two simple Tutu's one classic short the other one long. A classic leotard, wrap top, wrap skirt, ankle leg warmers as well as a pair of thigh high ones. All in classic ballet colors black, white and pink. ;) Nothing fancy! If the creator wants some examples what I mean I could provide pics. But that would be so dope! ❤️

#SSSWish I'm half Filipino, but I hardly see any Filipino content in the Sims Community. I would love to own a Maxis Match Barong or Maria Clara dress for formal events in the game. I think it would be a great way to add more representation in the game, especially when I know there are a handful of PilAms and Pinoy players. Thanks for hearing me out, and thanks for all the work you do to make this games playable. I really enjoy all your hard work!

#SSSWishlist hello! I would love if cc creators can consider making more patterns for Kimono/Yukata (traditional Japanese clothing). I find the in-game versions kinda bland, and there are not many floral Kimonos even though its commonly seen in Japanese festivals. Would appreciate if there's Japanese hairstyle cc with big flowerly accessory to pair with the Kimono too! Same for the male Yukatas, just not floral print maybe. If it's not too much, children's version is also appreciated!

For the SSS Wishlist, I would Love to see a set of three to four hairstyles, all with the same texture. Something like long hair down, a ponytail, and an updo, all with the same wavy or curly or straight texture, all with the same bangs or whatever. Sorry I wasn’t to sure where to put the hashtag #SSSWish or where to submit the wish.

My wish is to have more swatches for the snowboard and skis. If there could be more LED designs, interesting designs and the swatches for kids for T-E boards. It would be great.

The other wish would be to have more Kimono designs in Maxis Match and/or recolors with more patterns. There are so many patterns that I have seen while looking at real life kimonos and there are so many patterns, styles and colors that are missing in the game.

This seems like a fun idea! What I have been wanting for ages (like since TS2 era ages) is a hair style that completely covers one eye, like Violet at the start of The Incredibles. Most of the peekaboo bangs hairs I've seen are a little *too* stylish and I mostly just want one where someone is clearly trying to cover up half their face with it.

I would love to see more horse poses with tack. Severinka’s horses are beautiful but it drives me crazy, posing sims on horseback with the illusion of tack (bridles, saddles, etc) I would love to see some Severinka shaped tack be made. Poses would be a bonus!

#SSSWish - I would love to see a someone put together clothing that accurately reflects the Starfleet uniforms seen on the television shows, "Star Trek: The Next Generation" (collar version), "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (colored shoulders) or the later movie uniforms (grey shoulders w/ colored undershirt). I've seen people asking for these uniforms for quite some time now, and I think, if done well, they could be a popular download. A separate chest combadge accessory would be nice too.

Hey there, that #SSSWish thing is a super cool idea! I do have a wish too - I would love to see the EL utility jumpsuit converted for male framed sims. It can be unlocked by creating an override and unchecking the frame restrictions in S4S, but then the body changes to a female frame. So if anybody out there could do that properly, I'd be extremely grateful :3

#SSSWish i've been looking all over for a version of a torc to use in my historical plays-- it's an old celtic type of necklace, made of iron, sort of twisted into a collar around the neck... i've seen sims 3 versions of one floating around, so if someone would even be so kind as to convert one of those to the sims 4 i would be so happy!!!

Hi, for the SSSWishList I would love it if someone were to either convert or create a more dainty engagement ring type ring for the masculine frame, kind of like the rings glitterberrysims has made for feminine frames, like her pearl antique ring for example. I’ve always wanted more pretty and delicate rings for my male sims but i can never find any that truly work with the masculine frame without most of the ring being absorbed by their fingers lol

Super secret simblr wish! This is such a cool idea. I've been looking for Some haircuts with a mix of curly/wavy- epically mid-length ones. Also A decades challenge- appropriate camera. It feels a bit weird to have my sims whip out there cells to take a picture- I mean I did all this work to make you look like your in the 1910s and now THIS? Sorry for my rant lol. #SSSWishlist i know i already saw some people here ask for more yukata/kimono swatches here and i would like the say i really do think we need them (not just for the adults but the younger ages too, id like for the toddlers kimono not to have the hifu? vest as well but that sounds more complicated). 

BUT for my wish i would like to see some proper tabi socks in the game, for all ages + genders, and also for the geta sandals to be made available for children and toddlers. My Super Secret Wish is a mod, or even a tweak of an existing mod, that stops toddlers from shying away from hugs they ask for during the “Check Toddler” interaction. It is *so* irritating to see a toddler respond to a❓with a ❤️ and open arms then step back, often with a 💔, and push the adult away. I’ve tried to stop it with MCCC but no luck.

One of my favorite parts of the game is creating a restaurant or a vet clinic, but the employees are impossible to keep satisfied and they all eventually quit. It would be nice if there was a way to keep them permanently satisfied, or at least make it easier. There is a mod for this but it is extremely outdated and doesn't work anymore. If anyone could update it or make a new one that would be great! 😁

Hi ! There is quite a few things I’d like, but I narrowed it down to three “small” things:

- An accessory top with a high neckline and no sleeves - just to hide cleavage - maybe with some lace at the edge ? and several grey and pastel colors please.

- Some accessory prints for shirts, like those tukete has, maybe some aimed at kids and toddlers too ?

- Makeup for kids. Some people let their kids wear makeup in real life, but adult cc makeup don’t look right on kids, so if anyone is interested in trying… I’d like eye-shadow and lipstick, with some discreet options (but you can go all out too of course).

Like, G1G2's Revamped Plantsims, Triplis' Plantsim Interactions, and Simonch8's No Cooldown & Trait mods. #ssswish This is such a lovely idea! There are so many fun wishes! What I’d like to have (and I think would also be useful for other Simmers) is a wedding themed recolor of the “large pile of presents.” I usually put one of those piles in my wedding venue so that the bride and groom can “open presents” together. But the colors that are on the original are not what you usually see on presents at weddings. (I usually opt for the one that is mostly purple, since purple and lavender are my favorite colors.) What I’d like to have are recolors in white, white/gold, and white/silver. Maybe some white/pastels (especially lavender, pink and blue. The white/pastel recolors would also be nice for having a party that you call a “baby shower” especially if yellow and light green were also available. That kind of party isn’t in the game, but it should be!)

I don’t see the #SSSwish I submitted on your public list (I forgot to use the hashtag before) so I’m submitting it again. I would love to see a mod, or tweak of an existing mod, that stops toddlers from pulling away from a hug after they asked for one in response to a Check Toddler. The toddler will hold up its arms with a ❤️ in the speech bubble then step back and refuse the hug, and the relationship takes a hit. I tried MCCC’s tuner to stop it but it didn’t work.

i would love some…chinese cc haha! With snowy escape there’s more build items that can be used, I’ve noticed there tends to be a lot of Japanese inspired cc even before that pack, but not a lot of things from other parts of Asia, especially ancient cultures or cultural items like instruments (decor), clothing, furniture (lohan beds), etc. I’ve gone looking but most of what I’ve found is locked behind chinese-only forums and is usually alpha…I just think it would be cool to see some mm stuff from other places esp as fandoms get more globalized

This is an absolutely fantastic idea! I haven't been able to look around lately but I noticed that most rings/hand accessories aren't compatible with SkinDetail eyelashes. My wish is exactly hand accessories, specifically wedding rings, which don't conflict with SkinDetail eyelashes. It may be helpful to know that plumbobteasociety managed it in their RRS pack. Lastly, you guys rock!

I have another #SSSWish (if you don't mind). I don't know if it already exists but a mod which adds more family relationship options to CAS or the Sim menu. I would love to see some more truly alien clothing options for the aliens, the males especially. I sometimes like to dress mine up in complete different outfits for their alien and disguise forms. 2020 Blog Recap

I saw @desira-sims make a post recapping the events on their blog for 2020 and I thought I’d steal the idea

Everyone knows 2020 has been a crazy year and for me it was no exception. I started working from home in March and I’m still working from home now. I got shingles and that was a painful process of recovery lol. And then after many things pushing it back I started streaming on twitch and hit affiliate which has been such a great experience and feels like such a fit.

Posting in tumblr has been a definite constant throughout 2020. It’s been mostly Markus’ BC and gens 5 and 6 of my not so berry but I’ve loved every second of it.

Be sure to let me know if I included any of your favorite moments or even if i\I missed yours!

January

A Muse for Markus: I started out Markus’ search for love with the thing he’s loved most in the world. It was finally time for him to find the person he loved just as much as music. Markus’ BC has by far been my favorite thing I’ve ever done in the sims and I definitely look forward to doing another BC in the future.

February

Solo dates: We started out the competition with solo dates and there were three girls who had quick leads for Markus’ and my own hearts. They all made it to the final half of the competition so obviously the initial connection meant something. From a storytelling perspective it was challenging to try to think up 12 unique dates for the girls and I learned quickly that this struggle wasn’t going to go away any time soon.

March

The first rose ceremony: *sigh* ...I took a 2 week break before actually writing this scene. I didn’t think it would actually be so hard to let someone go home but hell it really was. I don't think this was made any easier by the fact that the first girl to go home was that of one of my best friends or that it kinda came as a surprise to me literally at the end of the pre-ceremony party when I totaled up their relationship scores. I would soon learn that each elimination really does get easier.

April

The first kiss: I have so many feelings about the Angie X Markus pairing lol. I love Angie so much but I hated how her in game actions made me have to write her (I actually wrote her so much nicer than she was in game lol). Markus was OBSESSED with her for the first half of the competition and I almost felt bad for the other ladies. He viewed her through rose-tinted glasses and she could do no wrong...until she could. For some reason living an entire season (on the longest setting) together was not enough for Angie to stop feeling tense around the other girls and eventually she started taking that out on Markus. All of that being said I put so much love and care into the first of many kisses for these two and also of the competition.

Nadia Nadia Nadia: The early favorite to win, the first tears, and the only one to let it be known that she was upset at Markus at the end. I thought she wouldn’t actually fall in love with Markus when this thing started but by the time it was time for her to go you could just tell from in-game actions that she was way more in love with him than he was with her and that was a bit heartbreaking. This screenshot might still be my favorite screenshot ever taken. And I love that Nadia left the show just how she entered it, a fucking queen.

The Finale:

(Don’t tell me you expect me to pick one photo from this emotional rollercoaster of a post)

Six months is how long it took me to write this sims story and while I still stand by what I said at the start that I’m not a good writer by any means I learned a lot about writing over those six months. I learned that I CAN write if I want to, I learned that it’s okay if it takes a while to get to the end, I learned that the journey is just as important for you as it is for your readers. And most importantly to me I learned that I want to be that person who writes those cliché stories with the plots you’ve seen a million times because that’s exactly what I like to read and it’s so important that you look back and love what you put so much of yourself into creating. 

Now to these two hotties: Simnosa is no stranger to the fact that I didn’t feel much of a connection to Lorena at first (I tease her about it endlessly). It seems appropriate that Markus was the same as it allowed me to fall in love with them at the same pace that they fell in love with each other. At the very last minute I decided to make the winner a mystery till the second to last post and to have Markus get Lorena back for all the teasing and pranks she had thrown his way. I knew if I made it look like there was no winner I would never be able to pull that off again so it was quite literally now or never and I quite liked the result even if not every reader was the biggest fan of it haha. I love these two and I promise I have more planned for them once ya girl gets the time.

Nsb Plum: By the time I was done with the BC I was missing the Berry family something fierce so it was so refreshing to get back to something a little less story focused. 

For some reason I didn’t realize that gen 5 of the Not so Berry challenge would end up so story heavy. I never really wanted to write fighting scenes before but I also wanted to showcase that their divorce was technically neither of their faults individually. Indi was a work-a-holic because he somehow felt he had to be this super successful person in an “important” career just like his family before him and he felt that Clem didn’t understand that. While Clem left without telling him that she was pregnant and then only telling him about his daughter after he had shown signs of growing up (here’s a secret: she needed to do some growing up as well). It was like watching my children grow into adults even if they weren’t necessarily the more fair of parents.

August

Aspirations: I wrote and started posting my first sims challenge. It seems quite fitting that my sim for this challenge was Emilee as she was the reason I first started posting anything on tumblr and she and Sutter were also the only reason I ended up writing my first sims story. It was time I wrapped up their story so we can move on to that of others ~in her family~. It was so nice for me to tell a story that spanned a few years of their lives with no dialogue. I really liked this style and I’ll most definitely adopt it again in the future.

Nsb Orange: Back when Ginger wasn’t 90% chaos and she was at least 40% naïve. I’m always excited to move on to the next heir but Ginger had me more excited than normal.

October Photo Challenge:  This was a fun one, it was a nice way to give some love to the characters that I’m playing next as a bit of a preview. I also think the photos turned out pretty snazzy. 

November

Next gen: The twins are so freaking cute as both toddlers and children. What I never expected (and kinda planned against) was for them to get along or for Ginger to be such a good parent. I wanted Ian to be a bit of a loner but the two best ladies in his life love to shower him with too much love and care for him to have too much time alone.

December

End of Orange gen: I had so much fun with her story. Ginger might not be my only polyamorous sim but she’s the first one really showcased on my tumblr. I covered a lot of borderline controversial topics and it seemed like you all enjoyed it, for which I’m grateful. Gen 6 is the first generation where there are no rules on your spouse so I knew I didn’t want her to get married. But that didn’t mean I wanted her to be single.

The head of the brush is an iridescent lime-yellow with black bristles and yellow tips. The brush’s handle has a quilted-patterned silicone for a comfy, semi-squishy grip. I got it bc it reminded me of a pineapple.🍍

So I waited and waited and waited whilst also scouring the internet for months looking for one that was reasonably priced in the color I wanted... and I nearly gave up when, lo and behold, it was going on sale for $60 bucks plus free shipping on some outlet website! I had to triple checked the website (make sure it was legit) before I shelled out the cash for my prize and the rest was history~ 😍

Arguably, the best popcorn in existence!

So, I made a thing...

I apologize for this lame cover, I was super excited and on board about this idea I had.

That’s my first post of the year, so I tried to make it different and prettier than usual. I hope it brings a lot more. Maybe I’ll beat my inconsistency and my anxiety,  who knows.

I love The Sims, and I also love Stardew Valley. It’s been my obssession for several months now. Recently I purchased a copy for PC (before that I was playing for android) and I coudn’t help myself but wonder how cool it would be to play these two games at the same time (I really hope a Farm Game Pack will be announced this year).

So, I created some NPCs of SV a few weeks ago, but yesteray I’ve seen the astonishing Sebastian @mystericsims​ created and I got full of excitement about creating the rest. So I’ve just finished creating the available for marriage ones, and I wanted to post it here. 

My Seb’s not as pretty as MystericSims’s one, but I’m good with the result. 

I should warn you: I changed some stuff... 

Creating the Sims, I realized there was too many white (and ginger) people, so I started to mix some things, in order to give more diversity to my babies, without taking their autenticity and identity away. I really tried to stay true to their essence.

I tried to make them the most vanilla possible (I just really needed some skin, eyes, eyelashes and blush so that I could like the way they look). It was quite fun and challenging not to use CC clothes and hair. I am truly enjoying it more. Usually I enter the game, test hot new CC and then quit.

I did everything I could so they still be recognizable. Hope you guys liked it!

I know that I’ll definetly date all of them in my game now.

Should I show you their traits? Put them for download? I don’t know, you tell me. I never done this before. I usually don’t interact to people, and people don’t talk to me, but if you guys need anything, want to know anything, I’d be happy to help, or talk, or anything.

Kovax Legacy

I told ya’ll i was gonna post some updates of my sims so here’s the first one! (long post so be ready)

Triplets. Witches. Gingers. Those are the Kovax triplets, Allie, Ellie and Ollie who came to Moonlight Falls to make it the most supernatural friendly town there is. I’ll be introducing you to them, their partners and their house. Let’s go!

Allie is very charming. Her “mission” here was to spread the word that new witches are here to help! She was in the Political career for a while but she was caught stealing money from the campaign and immediatly fired. However, the criminals heard of this and offered her a spot in their mix to give her the revenge she wants. She accepted it gladly.

Lifetime Wish: Reach Max Influence With All Social Groups

Life State: Witch

Giovanni Hoyt. Gio for short. He’s the player type you know? Your typical Don Lothario. He’s had plenty of girlfriend in the past but none quite like Allie. He loves her careless attitude, fiery red hair and banging body. Maybe their relatioship will last, maybe it won’t. But what we know for sure is that Gio is enjoying the hell out of this ride.

Traits: Flirty, Good Sence of Humor, Handy, Mooch, Lucky

Lifetime Wish: Heartbreaker

Life State: Witch

Ellie is by far the most “magical” of the triplets. With and eye for the mystic, she wants to know what makes Moonlight Falls such a supernatural hangout, one fortune reading at a time. Interestingly enough, the love of her life is the exact opposite, not a single magical bone his body.

Traits:  Unflirty, Insane, Good, Eco-Friendly, Hydrophobic

Lifetime Wish: Master of Mysticism

Life State: Witch

William Schaefer. He came to Moonlight Falls looking to spice up his life. New foods, new art styles and... new lovers. He caught Ellie’s eye while she was reading his fortune and she must’ve liked what she saw. Being a human doesn’t bring much to the table but this couple is willing to take the risck. Let’s hope William doesn’t persuade Ellie to do something drastic.

Traits: Couch Potato, Neat, Avant Garde, Natural Cook, Handy

Lifetime Wish: Street Credible

Life State: Human

Ollie is incredibly smart.. and that makes him a little forgetfull. Yes, he doesn’t clean up after himself and yes, he sometimes forgets why he’s in a particular room but he has a big heart and is he tries to impress his wife and kids whenever he can. Although his position in the Mage Guild is starting to take a toll on him...

Traits: Absent-Minded, Slob, Insane, Brooding, Genius

Lifetime Wish: Chess Legend

Life State: Witch

Karyn Ames came to Moonlight Falls to get in touch with her “magical” side. She finally made it here after playing her guitar for tips and mooching a simoleon or two from her “fans”. She met Ollie after he challenged her for a chess match. Ollie was embarrassingly defeated (but maybe he let her win). He made sure he’d get his win someday and now with their twin daughters being just born, boy did he win big.

Traits: Flirty, Brave, Virtuoso, Clumsy, Mooch

Lifetime Wish: One Sim Band

Life State: Witch

I didn’t take pictures for their daughters because they’re only babies righ now and all babies look the same but when they age up i 100% will! But anyway here are their little bios

Mary-Lou was the first twin to be born so naturally she wants to be first at everything. This attitude will for sure help her in some way or another.

Heaven is the more “controlled” of the twins. Famly is above all else for her and she wishes hers will be as big and beautiful as her father’s.

Random fact: So the first alcohol I ever tried was absinthe because aesthetic am I right? But the problem was my friends didn’t uuuuh think ahead and get any sugar cubes so we could properly water it down. Instead I tried it straight and it was HORRIBLE. Like licorice toothpaste on fire. Friends then proceeded to mix it with Gatorade for ??? some reason??? Anyway it was not at all good and I did not have much more than a sip. I don’t think I really drank again for several years haha

Which sims are you playing? Is that 3?? How is it for like making characters? Compared with any other sims games, if you’ve played them? Sorry I’m just a slut for dress up game opportunities haha

Hello! Yes, I’m playing Sims 3 - I technically own Sim 2 (plus a toooon of expansions) and Sims 4 as well. But my expansions for Sims 2 are scattered around and I haven’t actually played Sims 4 yet bc I don’t quite trust my computer to run it. Kind of an old gal. So the first three are the only ones I can really give an opinion on!

Do you mean making characters in general or Star Wars specifically? I assume the former but I’ll answer for both. :) For Star Wars, it’s not half bad. The rainbow variety of skin tones makes making aliens easier than I thought it’d be, but they still kinda look like cheap brand knock-offs of the real thing without mods, lol.

As for characters in general, I’ll just give My Opinions™ under a read more. :)

Does anybody really play Sims 1 anymore? I used to be into it a lot as a kid haha. Definitely not the one for character creation though, at least not serious CC stuff. The options are super limited, but the early 2000s child version of Sierra thought it was cool at the time. Basically - choose fat or skinny, then work with the handful of heads and outfits they give you. I don’t think the outfits for fat characters were very flattering, if I recall correctly? But it’s been a long time.

Sims 2 was my favorite for a loooong time, and for character creation, it’s not bad. Definitely not as good as Sims 3, but not bad either. Clothing options are more varied, and you can mix and match to a degree. I.e., a full outfit (like a dress or overalls) vs. a bottom and top. There’s only four choices for skin tones, however, I think five for eye color?, and again, four for hair color. You can do more brightly colored stuff, but that you have to move in first and get a mirror. Also only two body choices at CC, fat and skinny, but the options for clothes are universal so it improves there over TS1. Hair style options definitely aren’t bad, and I remember them quite fondly.

So that leads me into Sims 3! It improves upon the previous in a lot of ways. Tones aren’t limited to choosing four anymore, you get a color wheel to pick from for clothes, hair, eyes, skin, etc. Super handy when, say, making someone who’s ginger vs dark red hair. (You have to work at it to make the colors look natural, but I run into that problem with every color wheel game, lol.) There’s also a sliding scale this time for weight, muscularity, and breast size - though the breast size one comes with the Nightlife expansion, I think? Or whatever it’s called lul. Also, props to TS3 for having a muscle slider, since the previous one required you to make your Sim buff manually.On the clothes, you also get to pick-and-choose more than in the previous one. Adding or taking away accessories, mixing and matching shoes, etc. Previous one had you stuck with a green necklace if you went with a red top, for example, and no way to get rid of it. (The Bella Goth dress, I believe!) I’d say my only big complaint is that vanilla TS3 has, as a high school friend once put it, “mostly preppy clothing.” But customizing the patterns and colors can get a long way to mitigating that.

I’ve never personally played Sims 4, but I’m told that they have a height slider and even more options for customizing the body, so cool! It’ll be fun to play someday.

1. what is the first sims game you ever played?

Sims 2! I was really young, I couldn’t read any of the options so I wouldn’t play the game I would just make sims which is what I do now tbh ahsdfjfds. My favorite will always be 3 though ❤️

Probably one of the earlier sims 4 packs, my mom bought all the packs for the earlier games because she used to play too so I just used her copies haha.

4. what sims game are you currently playing?

Sims 4, I’ve been playing the perfect sim challenge mixed with some Get Famous stuff. I just got a new laptop so I don’t have any of 3 on here and it would take me an entire day to reinstall everything 🙃

5. what is your favorite world?

Hmm, in 3 I really loved Al Simhara and Shang Simla (I mostly played in a custom world that I downloaded that had stuff from all the expansions). For 4 it would probably be San Myshuno or Brindleton Bay 

6. who is your favorite pre-made family?

I like, paid absolutely zero attention to pre-mades before getting a simblr lol, but now I’m fully invested. Favorites are probably the Munches, Don and the Calientes, the Pancakes, and Johnny Zest

7. what packs do you wish you had in your game?

I still want outdoor retreat and jungle adventure, vampires would be nice too! If we’re talking about ones that aren’t out yet though I would like university please and thank you

A while ago I played this sim named Mila, I had so much fun with her because she was a painter and I would set up still lifes in the game for her paint, and she married Zoe Patel and adopted this adorable girl named Ginger aw I miss them

I have no clue to be honest, at least 10 years lol. 

10. when did you start your simblr?

A little over a year ago, my first post here was January 6th 2018, but for a little bit before I was using the sideblog of my old personal tumblr. I started making CC because I had always wanted to make CC for 3, and I was learning 3D modeling so I figured it would be a good way to practice! :)

Funny thing. I spent much of this week getting a modern Ubermegahood set up, played it for one evening and was all excited about having time to play more over the weekend... and now I have a free day to play, and all I can think about is the Megakingdom instead.

SHRUG

...so, I guess I’m gonna do a little work on 50/50 testing in my medieval game and see how far I get in that today, perhaps going back to a modern game if that gets frustrating. Maybe I’ll manage to squeeze in a couple of medieval makeovers.

In the meantime, however, I wrote a little report on playing the Ubermegahood from a few nights ago, because I’m still practicing doing gameplay updates in a way people might actually enjoy.

Summer/Fall 2001, Goodie/Newson household

Faith started working as a freelance bartender to try to achieve her dream, with mixed success. (and I gave her a modest makeover halfway through the round) She might try permanently working at the LuLu Lounge since she had the most customers there, but I am also considering the possibility of having her open a local coffee shop instead.

Herbert has been working to fix up an old car while he stays home with the kids. It’s been a struggle for them to deal with the two toddlers, though, and they weren’t able to make that much progress towards their lifetime goals.

Gavin planted a little garden in the backyard, and has been doing his best to maintain it after school. Good thing he loves nature so much! He has managed to achieve a silver talent badge so far, but I don’t know what his harvest is gonna look like.

Ginger’s goals are much easier to deal with; she snagged an after-school politics job to get her foot in the door, and still has plenty of time to do her homework, help with her siblings, and play pool. I’m gonna try to make her an overachiever before she hits college. She has loads of time!

The household somehow earned a lamp. I went want-based, and the first three sims to roll wants for wishes got them. Gallagher, as an Unlucky sim, wished for Immunity. Gabriella, both Neurotic and Adventurous, wished for the power to cheat death. And Faith, Eccentric and Absent-Minded, wished for Peace of Mind. I then ran my 50/50 chance of the last sim to wish becoming a genie, and she did not. I am thinking about figuring out some rules for what kind of sim makes what wish, rather than winging it thusly.

And Georgia showed her Evil trait by constantly stealing bottles from Garrett.

That’s about it for their first round. With Gestation-based Aging, this Summer/Fall round lasted a year and a half, making Faith and Herbert 51.5 at 206 days old, Ginger and Gavin 13.5 at 54 days old, Gallagher and Gabriella 5.5 at 22 days old, and Georgia and Garrett 2.5 at 10 days old. The toddlers will age up first, and even then I think it will be on the first day of round 3. The kids have 46 days left, the teens have 18 days left before college, and the elders could have almost 200 days left. Proportionate aging is fun!!! …I might have to add some mods to slow skilling down. I mean, it’s not like I am amazing at this game getting everyone mastering skills as quickly as possible, but I have yet to play an entire sim life with this aging mod and I don’t know how it will go with my slightly relaxed style.

I don’t think I will ever be able to go back to vanilla LTWs again, and this is gonna be the prime Ubermegahood going forward, but I am debating whether it might make sense to put this LTW mod in the Megakingdom. It’s probably not worth the risk with such a new mod, and it might not be vague enough to work with the medieval theme, and I am 90% sure something like the harvest LTW isn’t compatible with Sun & Moon products, only Maxis products and craftables... but I do have my fingers crossed somebody out there will change that sooner or later.
