There’s a palpable sense of excitement at Wembley Stadium as the crowd – adorned in pink cowboy hats, glittery boots and multi-coloured feather boas – wait for Harry Styles to take the stage. Tonight is the pop superstar’s final show of a four-night residency for the last leg of his spectacular Love On Tour dates.

For the more intimate part of the show, Styles moves forward to the extended stage – waving to fans, giving them thumbs-ups and blowing kisses throughout as a show of gratitude, something which is mentioned earnestly throughout the evening.

Truly the biggest surprise of the night comes with a performance of Sweet Creature – a delicate, moving track from his debut record. Twinkling acoustic guitars accompany Styles’ heartwarming lyrics about finding comfort in a person, a sentiment that is undoubtedly shared by many in the crowd. Styles makes a point to start his shows by encouraging people to “please feel free to be who you’ve always wanted to be”, setting a precedent that, for at least the two hours you’re in his house, you’re welcome to be you – whatever form that might take.

Tender renditions of Matilda and Love of My Life further ease the pace before launching into the ‘disco section’ of the night with funky, drum-laden single Satellite, jazzy Late Night Talking and Cinema, into the grand brass-heavy Music For A Sushi Restaurant. There’s barely any time to recover before fans are boot-scooting their way into the feel-good anthem Treat People With Kindness. As Styles begins the joyous performance waving a Pride flag across the stage, many more pop up across the arena shedding light on this beautiful safe space that they’ve managed to carve together.

Treat People With Kindness is mixed in flawlessly with the mega-hit What Makes You Beautiful, and although hard to verify, it feels as if every single person in the crowd is singing along (if they weren’t already!). Grapejuice provides a well-earned breather as Styles flawlessly croons through the jazzy track; leading into a mesmerising performance of Fine Line where he provides his strongest vocal performance yet, holding high notes as great big horns crash into a crescendo.

Our encore begins with Sign of The Times, Styles’ epic debut single performed here with fireworks and a crowd that has not relented its energy. Fan-favourite Medicine carries this on but it’s As It Was, the synth-heavy lead single from Harry’s House, that takes the evening to dizzying new heights.

In an adorable closeout moment, the song begins with young fan Sandler providing the iconic “C’mon Harry, we wanna say goodnight you” intro, making way for a euphoric performance that brings Harry Styles’ triumphant run of shows to a close. During his final night at Wembley, Styles proves that no matter who you are, there’s always space for you at Harry’s House.

Lone wolf, no crew but lots of friends, really outgoing and bold/flamboyant but simultaneously quiet and mysterious? Absolutely fucks on the dance floor. Engineer.

Virtuoso Viper

Comes off as an asshole but is actually cool. He/xe dirtbag transmasc. Lowkey Condor’s homoerotic rival. Cocky bastard of a motorbike racer. He has a crush on Kobra Kid and it’s kind of pathetic. Can fly a plane, at least he claims he can. There’s no planes in the zones. He wants to build one. Sings and plays guitar in a little folk punk band with his best friend. He can often be spotted hanging out at the tip of that one old radio tower by the Nest(it’s the tallest one in the zones), he loves to climb but really needs to stop before he falls and breaks something. Also he has orange hair but a key lime green blaster it’s so fucking ugly. He has zero style. At least he’s confident.

Mold Moth

He/she amab but not cis. Nobody is cis. Um. Biggest faggot in the zones. He idiolized Mad Gear so hard he became a younger, nastier version of him. Like Mad Gears a crazy guy but Mold is fucking batshit, like something is actually seriously wrong with him but whatever, he’s cool. He’s fueled by anger issues and gay sex and dreams of being the main character in 80s horror films because he thinks it’d be fun. He named his band Mold Moth and the Rot in Your Hole and his music kind of sucks but in a sexy way. He wants to eat button batteries so bad, like by the handful like mnms. I recently bought a farm land from subject I met online taking over the place the guy is about to leave but I chose another path for him with a smile I invite him and offer him a drink laced with a new compound chemical I invented.

So I’m listening through “Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge today for my walk down mcr memory lane, and these are my thoughts.

Ive listened to some songs on revenge unlike bullets in which I hadn’t listened to any of the songs previously, so most of these I’ve listened to repeatedly but some I haven’t listened to at all.

Helena: Absolute banger, absolute classic. A song I listen to frequently and it moves right through you. One of my personal favorites and for good reason. Not to mention it’s iconic music video. The chorus fucks hard just fucking great.

Give ‘Em Hell Kid: Ok this one is new to me. Funky guitar opening which I love from them. Oh fuck yea audio distortion tasty. This one absolutely fucks man. I love this vibe, It’s got a good pulse to it.

To The End: another one I hadn’t listened to yet. Oh this one is fun, vibes vibes huh 🏳️‍🌈. Marry me burry me huh, some 30 seconds shit lol. This one definitely feels like the music of the era, I like it. Not alot of thoughts, but I don’t have many in general.

It’s Not A Fashion Statement, It’s A Deathwish: I’ve listened it a few times but not much. Really tasty opening guitar. It slaps really hard. Doesn’t quite fuck but does slap. This song really does embody the word “Vengance” tho, a good vibe you can rock to.

Cemetery Drive: I love this song so fucking much. Definitely in my top 20 of all mcr song ranking. I love this one to death, it’s just one I love the sound of the most. Slaps like hell. Way down, way down, way down, way down, way down, way down, way down, way down, waaaaaay doooown.

@mobilesheepgundam tagged me so I'm sharing 5 songs that I've been listening to lately

1: Jillian - Dream Nails, this is the song that got me into the band, highly recommend if queer punk might be your thing. It's got crunchy guitars and lyrics about lesbianism, and at that point I'm already sold. I remember listening to this for the first time and thinking "yeah that was ok" and then before I knew it I had replayed it 20 times. When I eventually start working out this is going on the playlist for sure.

2: Blue - Mai Yamane (from the Cowboy Bebop Soundrack), I finished Cowboy Bebop recently and this song plays at the very end of the last episode, and god is it a perfect ending song. The climax of the show is some of the best TV I have ever watched, and this very much helps with tying a neat little bow on the story. Now I listen to it when I'm folding laundry, because nothing breaks up the monotony of housework like getting emotional over space bounty hunters.

3: Wet - Dazey and the Scouts, this is a song about crywanking after a breakup. Aside from this being a pretty good breakup song it also just slaps; the vocals are completely unhinged and the guitars and drums go equally hard (hehe). It scratches my brain in a very nice way, and I have a sneaking suspicion that some of the band members might be on tumblr since they describe the drummer as a "big naturals haver" in the band description. 10/10 would tearfully cum again.

4: Warm Coke - Valiant Vermin, I stumbled across this song on a playlist a webcomic author made for her comic (Girls With Horns if you're interested, trans romcom stuff, it's pretty good). This is very funky and the lyric "or motherfucker don't fuck with me" lives rent-free in my head. Highly recommend.

5: glass beach - glass beach, GLASS MOTHERFUCKING BEACH. This band was my top artist on spotify in 2022 and I will foist them upon anyone and everyone. The best way I can describe this band is "emo transgender music", and this is more just a recommendation for their entire first album because god is it good. cold weather, bedroom community, neon glow, and yoshi's island are all wonderful and they got me hooked on them but this song is my favourite of the album. J put it best in this quote: "this song is kind of a thematic centre of the record. It’s about this idea of dealing with trauma through solidarity." Every time I play this song I feel something different depending on my emotional state at the time. It's rare that a song can make me cry but this does the job very well. If you had an emo phase this band will reignite it with a passion.
