When your father tried his best to provide for you but he worked all the time and even when he was home he was either tired or stressed and he’s always liked to get drunk to relax and cheer up. When you know he values work ethics and respectability so you grew up to be capable and quiet. And when he says you’re like him you’re sort of puzzled, does he really know you so little, or does he know himself so little? But you like the feeling of your father ruffling your hair so you accept it, and still you stand next to your mother just as silent and just as stoic as her during family gatherings. He leaves again and again and when your mother leaves him nothing changes, really. You wonder if it’s more telling that you know him better than he seems to himself or that you don’t know him as much as you wish you did, or that you don’t think about him all that much these days. feeling incredibly weird and not good.. my mom sent me a message saying to call her when I get a moment and from that I just knew it was bad and someone has died, I was right.. my aunt passed away last night and it doesn’t feel real.. she has no health conditions and was only 41, she died of a heart attack. the paramedics said it was over quickly for her so she didn’t suffer, they knew this because her body was relaxed, her fists weren’t clenched. my cousins are only young teenagers, the youngest one found her but didn’t realise, she thought she had fallen asleep so it was only when my uncle got home two hours later.. he called my mom, his sister, for help. I wasn’t really super close with her but she was always smiling when I saw her, and always asking with such enthusiasm what I’m up to and how I am etc.. it just doesn’t feel real to me because she was so young? and had no known problems with her health.. hmm. ok

SORRY i keep coming here to yell !! you got me thinking about cdramas (& t dramas) i enjoyed and then forgot about :"] i watched 如果奔跑是我的人生 earlier this year and the ending lost me, but i was quite captivated by its 20+ episodes before. it centres around parental relationships (asian) and, i don't know much about dance at all but a main character is a dancer and her story made me feel things. the performances were sick, in my unprofessional opinion! I'm Fine is a gorgeous ost track. btw.... i've started rewatching 不良执念清除师 again and i CANNOT RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY ENOUGH. i've been thinking about it (on ep 5 LOL) and i actually don't think the ending dropped the thread or ball or 链子 or however that saying goes (im fever SORRY.... i think it was cathartic and beautiful in the way a galaxy is— i just could not get enough of those guys T__T 不良执念清除师 is about sulky teen (??) guys moving through the world with so much heart. it's about LOVE and ART and how the living go on after tragedy, it's about how. how (PARDON ME....) we get to keep everything we've ever loved for even a fraction of a moment & what we are doing is worthwhile even if it is very small !!!!! it is a show that is, in Voice from IMBD's words, an outstanding Taiwanese drama that excels in every aspect, because it was made with so much care and love...(meta!) also, gay people

I love dad Regret with all my heart and I just love their dynamic, okay? Literally most of the flashbacks were about Chael asking for his advice. And aside from them having the best father-son relationship ever, the protag actually has a dad, a good dad. An adoptive dad but a dad nonetheless. How could I not love that? Best dad in RPG'S since 2011.

They are literally the main reason why I'm still in the Zenonia fandom and why I'm still waiting for the global release of Chronobreak even with it just being a standard MMORPG than Zenonia. I. Just. Want. Them. To. Be. Happy.

It has its flaws, sure, and plenty of plot holes like in Zenonia 1 why is Sun still alive in the Evil Route when its impossible for her to survive that attack or why the fuck did Dupre not tell Sun about Regret and vice versa or in Zenonia 3 did Regret know about Frey being Celine or did he just forget that Chael was an angel and just told him he was human but dammit the only flaw that matters is that they can't be happy together :(

tbh i like artemis from the young justice tv show so much because she was a mixed asian girl who didn't really look asian. that could be blamed on just how the show's animation style looked, but her sister jade looked way more like their mother than artemis did, who resembled her white father very much. i saw myself in her, someone disconnected from her mother in phenotype and culture. the genetics are there, but one has shown through dominant and the environment has raised her away from any kind of asian influence or culture that might have been hers. it was so important to me, and still is, that i got to have her as a character i could look up to because even though her asian heritage is hardly ever spoken of and isn't a plot line integral to her character in the show, it still mattered and made artemis more than whatever biases or standards were placed on her from looks alone. we can talk about how her mother was represented in the show, and how her sister jade subsequently fell to the same fate, and how neither of their stories or heritage matters a lick to anyone except to the characters themselves, but i just want it to be known how important a mixed girl like artemis was to me

My mom told me the most validating thing the other day.

Apparently she used to rp Buffy the Vampire Slayer on rp forums when she was a stay at home mom and had to take care of my and my older brother. And then I asked if people had the hots for the teacher guy and she said “people??” alluding that she had the hots for him herself.

I feel so validated and less childish now.
