I’m sorry but there’s not been enough chat about Anything But

It captures that feeling of just wanting to be anything else in the world other than yourself so that someone will see you. Wanting to be some powerful force of nature just to make the smallest impact.

But it’s all so upbeat, so quick moving, like he feels he has to make light of this feeling just to get it all out. It’s heartbreak disguised as an cheery love song.

Also his voice is simply euphoric on the high notes, it made me sit up in bed. This is one of my favourites on the album for sure.
