Adison stared at her reflection, lips thin in a line as her tired eyes inspected her injuries. Bruises, small lacerations, and a scab that would soon scar. Her mind is full of memories of 10 hours ago, the cries of her teammates as landmines were triggered and exploded, cutting through armour and flesh and slicing limbs into unrecognizable pieces.

"Williams, it's me, Lieutenant Morin. May I come in?"

Adison turned her gaze from the mirror and unlocked the restroom door, slowly opening it and looking up at her comrade, the second survivor of the accident besides her. Henry tried to give her a smile, but it came out strained and his face twitched, revealing that he is nervous and Adison felt all the more cautious.

"What is it, Henry." Adison says, gently sliding by him to go into her rroom. The lieutenant hesistately follows after her, fidgeting as he watches with awe as Adison unsheaths her weapons. She turns when he doesn't talk, raising a perfect brow as she tucks a loose strand of dirty, dark auburn hair behind her right ear. "Henry?"

With no warning, which Henry knew would have him killed in a nanosecond, he cupped Adison's cheeks and gently lifted her face, leaning down to capture her lips, careful with the cut on her upper lip. Adison freezes up, confused and not knowing what to do, but chooses to rest her hands on Henry's waist and presses him closer to her. The kiss, although a bit sloppy as it was Adison's first kiss, was full of pure love and gentleness, slow paced and careful. Adison is the first to pull away, face flushed but she gives Henry a smug grin.

"I'm covered in grim, dried blood, and sweat, and you decide now is the time to take my first kiss? You just can't help yourself, can you?" Adison teases, stifling back a laugh when Henry's face got dark.

"I really love you, Adison. Ever since we met at the main office in Alberta. I thought I lost you in Afghanistan, and it made me realize that I need you to know how I feel and holy shit I'm sounding so chessy-"

"Henry."

"Yeah?"

"Shut up and kiss me again."

"Oh, oka- hm!"
