I've been bombarded by posts about characters being shitty DPS or "the worst DPS" in basically every social media platform and I am SO tired of them. Why are meta players SO repetitive? Yeah, sure, maybe JY needs a bit more time and resources to do more damage but I don't care? Like some of us play and pull for characters we like, not because they are meta or because our sole purpose is to do tons of damage. Sure, damage is nice, but as long as I can defeat the enemies, I don't give a damn about my characters doing 1M.

And I've seen a lot of the same discourse with Navia and Itto now??? With people arguing about who's the better DPS and whatnot about geo and monogeo teams. I pulled for Navia because she's gorgeous and I am emotionally attached to her, not because she does big numbers. I literally didn't know she'd make big numbers when I decided to pull for her. Kinda like when I pulled for Neuvi.

I'm just so tired of meta players coming on to every single post saying these things. We get it. You love builds and investing in the best characters and teams. Good for you.

Just let me fucking enjoy my game with my characters in peace.

I'll spare you that, maybe. xD

Ok listen. I love trash. I love reading and watching trash, I find it SO funny. The kind of trash that knows it's trash? Usually they're movies WAY better than serious ones that wants to convey a message at all costs. (I'll stop here lest I start in a 30 pages long tirade on how for me the first John Wick is a better movie than The Revenant, both sharing a very similar plot.) Give me a crack, extremely unlikely ship and I'm sold. I actually liked My Immortal. Vampyre Potter is the best Potter hands down (it adds the fact that I like to imagine the terf being disgusted at that fic).

As for writing: I do love sillyness. I do love to shitpost about Solas, mainly putting him in situations where he's forced in a fun way to rethink his opinions. See: putting him in the same room with children. I'll always bet on children, sorry not sorry.

None of these makes me feel any guilty tho. Life is too short to feel guilty about personal taste, where it harms no one. Fanfiction is free and it harms no one.

M. What’s the weirdest AU scenario you’ve ever come up with? Did it turn into a story?

I was writing this fic centered on victorian floriography, when I read that in the flower language, rocket salad means, for some reasons I totally fail to understand, "rivalry".

I am a crack person, so I thought on the implications in game if the flower language was diffused in the Orlesian court.

It did develop into a story. Let's say that Samson's trial gained a new charge to all the rest. He was very rude in not sending Aisling some arugula to formally declare his rivalry, no? Florianne did it...

Probably the weirdest AU is "Aisling as Sauron in LOTR". And that yes, did develop in its own story.

Talking a little bit about 'boycotting Eurovision' under Keep Reading, feel free to scroll down if is not what you want to see.

The most used argument on the matter of banning Israel from Eurovision is the fact that Russia got banned from Eurovision, which is the worst argument anyone could bring.

Kindly reminder that Russia didn't get banned because of the war with Ukraine. Russia got banned because many countries has threatened to withdraw from the competition. Sadly, that's a big difference.

Yes, the countries has threatened to withdraw because they support Ukraine and see Russia as the party in the wrong. That was their reason. EBU's reason for banning Russian was because those countries threatened to withdraw, not because the war was bad and Russia must be stopped.

This situation isn't the same. Why? Because many countries support Israel in their genocide. Because this time around Palestine is the party in the wrong. Because we're taught to believe that Israel isn't in the wrong here.**

Boycotting Eurovision won't work. There are people out there who don't know the truth and want to watch Eurovision. There are people out there who don't care and will watch Eurovision regardless of the situation. There are people out there who, despite having the facts, still don't see Israel as the bad guy in this situation and will watch Eurovision. Sadly, boycotting won't work unless everyone does it.

The only way Israel will get banned, in my opinion, is by going through the same thing as Russia. If other countries threatened to withdraw- and not any countries, but the ones investing the most in Eurovision, then yes. That will get Israel banned.

Otherwise? The only thing we do is hurt artists that don't deserve it. Artists who use Eurovision as a way to get more exposure and experience. Artists who deserve to be heard.

Don't vote for Israel's entry. Don't stream their song either. Heck, turn off the TV when is their turn to perform.

**This whole situation (the war, not Eurovision) isn't only black and white. Civilians die daily because of this, all of them from both sides. Innocent people who has no fault. Let's not forget that

Quite frankly this entire mindset around Rings of Power: “it’s not made the way I wanted/expected it to, following the books to a T, so it should be canceled - if I can’t/won’t watch it, no one should, let’s spread the hatred and boycott - there’s but one way to tell this story” is … disappointing. To me, it is.

No adaptation is going to be the way I envisioned. Not a one. Regardless of the company that buys the rights. Someone will always cry “Wolf”. And you know what? That’s alright. If I can enjoy a new take on a favorite series and find joy in the way someone else brings it to life? I will. Or I’ll, quite simply, not watch.

At the end of the day I’ll always have the books and my own imagination for that undiluted, “unspoiled” version. Another interpretation doesn’t bother me. Especially when it’s everything I’d want to see in a story of this caliber: mythical and whimsical, like a much beloved fairytale. With female characters not there for decoration only, held to the stereotypical standards of “women only need to be/do this in order to be palatable, lest they not be women”. Women who are not only mentioned in passing, simple tokens in a 1000+ compendium dedicated to men.

And I’m happy to be free of the gratuitous gore and endless violence of other, much-hyped franchises. Yes, it’s different than canon. Yes, we all rightly hate Amazon. Yes, there’s countless aspects one can be nitpicky about. And so on and so forth. We could sit and complain forever.

But you know what? I’m not going to let sheer hatred ruin my love for this show. I’m not going to get mired in this bottomless pit of complaints. I’m going to focus on what I REALLY enjoy: a young, brash, and quite relatable Galadriel (Cate is ICONIC, but I find Clark’s portrayal just as engaging with glimpses of the enigmatic and formidable Lady of Lorien in the Third Age; and yes, I do love me a fearless, sword-wielding elleth with a rather “swashbuckling youth”). Then there’s charming, witty Disa and the dwarves which I feel are portrayed to perfection. Durin and Elrond are a riot together and their dynamic a joy to watch. Arondir and Halbrand feel like well-established Middle Earth characters to me and I find them a welcome addition. Nori and Poppy are a delight and the Harfoots in general are a source of pure joy. Bronwyn is also a character I’ve quickly grown fond of. And I look forward to seeing what they’ve done with Numenor. Not to mention the exquisite cinematography and fantastic music score.

So, for me? There’s a lot to enjoy. Which is what I plan to do. It’s just sad you can’t go into the tags for this show and not find hate-filled comments clinging to the thread like fungus. Is there nothing that can be enjoyed these days without hateful rhetoric? I just want to stare at pretty pictures, okay?

For the WIP game. Selectively Mute KRS au? Omg, imagine if the first words that'd come out of his mouth when he talks to LSH is "I trust you, Hyung". Can I please know more about itt?

The concept begins with OG Cale waking up as KRS in Korea. The first big difference the team immediately notices about him is that he talks normally. Turns out, the God of Death forgot to tell him that KRS is very.... reserved with his words, it seems.

It's not that KRS is actually mute. His vocal chords are just fine. But because of his childhood, he learned to never speak unless he was spoken to (his abusive uncle, the oprhanage, unsympathetic teachers et cetera). He can talk – where business is concerned. He was able to ask people their orders when he worked at a restaurant, no problem.

...Except then, the monster apocalypse happened. And KRS saw too many people get eaten by mosters because they were being too loud to ever forget it. So that added extra trauma onto his already busy plate. Joining the Company and getting adopted by LSH and CJS was very good for him, of course – those two and the rest of the team naturally helped him come out of his shell.

...Except then, the unranked monster happened. And KRS's ablity to talk freely was set back yet again. People doubted that he'd be able to take care of Team 1 in his condition, but somehow, he managed. He wrote most of the stuff down, explaining his plans in detail beforehand, and in battle he mostly used gestures and one-word commands. It didn't stay that way forever, 10 years passed and KRS made progress again. However, he was only able to talk freely when he talked about things concerning work (and scamming for money, lol). Any other conversations, he just participated by body language, hums and single-word replies. He especially never talks about his feelings.

You can imagine how much he drew his team crazy with worry. He's even more reserved than in canon because of it. No one can tell what he's thinking.

So OG Cale being his normal-talking self was a BIG shock. OG Cale is quick on his feet, though, so he dialed it down, then gradually build up his "speaking improvement" so that it wouldn't be too suspicious. The others are too relieved to question it too much – and they attribute the change mostly to the fact that he adopted a child.

Meanwhile, Cale has an entire jounrey of actual healing and improvement to make. He is able to talk as Cale, because he considers this a "life or death situation" – if he doesn't speak, they might suspect him and kill him. However, his group quickly figures out that Cale doesn't like to talk. Once the dust settles (around the time Cale buys the Magic Tower), he relaxed enough that he returns to his usual, quiet self. Once the war stars, he gains a different nickname: "the Silent Commander". Once Choi Han recieves CJS's memories, he learns the entire sign-language-like code that KRS used to communicate with his teammates. That raises Cale's comfort a lot, being able to express himself without having to use words.

By the end of Part 1, Cale truly makes progress in healing. He's able to talk to the children, Choi Han, Alberu and the Henituses without any problems. Most of his allies, he's able to speak comfortably with, as well.

You can imagine how much more important is for everyone, when Cale uses the rare word of "Hyung". Alberu managing to get Cale to say it once was like a life achievement for him.

(Also, the line: "I finally think that my life is a little bit precious" is one of the first times he EVER expresses such a deep sentiment.)

Sherlock isn't happy to find that the new doctor is almost as good at his job as Sherlock is. Said new doctor, John Watson, wants to woo the genius until he finds out what a prick he can be. Then he's just amused. And maybe a bit fond. And kind of smitten. Then he falls in love with the prick. Bloody hell.

A disclaimer. If the name of the WIP seems nonsensical, it means that it’s more than likely either a voice to text note that I have not edited, or it’s a bullet point string of random thoughts that may or may not clump together eventually in a specific formation to create a fic if I’m lucky.

I only mention this because not every WIP ask will be responded to like the Joel & Darlin’ one shot or BEEFRO IN SPACE, and look maybe even less coherent than Dieter Bravo - AU - wtf is this…

I normally wouldn’t share something to early in development, but I’m also still recovering and the feedback (if there is any) is very helpful.
